Pizza Express in Liverpool

I absolutely love this place. Amazing pizzas, the Romana base has to be tried. The restaurant is spotless with a a great atmosphere and the service second to none particularly from Jenna but all the team are great.

Excellent and friendly service by Mary. Great menu too! Will definitely go back.

I was away with work and went as a solo diner. The food was great and the staff were lovely.

Had lunch today, had the most amazing time. Popped in after some shopping, and deciding for a while where to eat and we were delighted we chose the right place. Mary, our server was brilliant from the minute we walked in, I’m 9 months pregnant, and craving lemons, she made sure I had plenty in my drink and even remembered extra lemons second time round. Everything was catered for, like we were the only ones in the restaurant, she explained the menu perfectly and treated us like family. Will be back, for sure for the food was incredible but nothing beats the service

This was my first time at pizza express and last. We walk in and stood at the waiting area and we was ignored by staff. We was there for about 15 minutes and no one came to speak to us. If it was busy it wouldn't have bothered me but the place was practically empty. I seen the chefs looking at us and did nothing. So we walked out.

Lovely meal out for a fairly large party. As we'd completed a pre order, food was brought out fantastically fast, hot, service led by the amazing Mary who tended to us wonderfully, drinks were refilled as soon as required. Tried a variety of different foods as I'm greedy and snaffled everyone else's. Every dish was cooked beautifully and very fresh, desserts were surprisingly nice too, I'd expected the usual frozen chain stuff but they were delicious. Highly recommend - staff made the experience brilliant.

Myself and hubby had a meal at Pizza Express on Speke Retail park saturday afternoon,first time visit. Had an great time,sevice was great,friendly and welcoming. Reasonbly priced and food was amazing,great menu with plenty to choose from. Great atmophere with a family friendly feel,highly recommend⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thanks to all the staff for an enjoyable afternoon will defo be going back. 🍕🍕🍕🍻🍨

I have eaten here a few times and absolutely love it. The service is second to none; professional, personable, and the food is excellent and great value. The Romana pizzas are a must and the service particularly from Mary and Mia is excellent and keeps me and my son coming back regularly. Keep it up please and please reward these two as they are absolutely top class!

Had family tea, served by Mary who tbh we've been this branch at least 4 times in last 6 months and it wasn't until Mary asked us if we required any garlic or chilli oils that were available and what a difference they make to your food. Food is always served well presented and hot.

Went here for the first time on Sunday 28/01/24. Was very pleasantly surprised by how lovely the restaurant was. It had a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Must say that I’m not a big lover of pizza but had a slice of my husband’s pizza and it was delicious. I had two starters for my main and enjoyed both. We were looked after by a lovely waitress by the name of Mary. Mary was very friendly and attentive, she advised us on our food and was always polite and friendly. I will definitely be back.

Had another lovely meal this evening here, and our waitress Mary was amazing as usual!! Every time we visit Mary is very attentive, friendly and makes the evening out all that more enjoyable. We’re regulars here now because of the great service we always receive, in addition to the food and atmosphere!

On Wednesday, one of the classes in my school went to the Speke Pizza Express for a school visit and the staff at Pizza Express Speke were fantastic during the visit and they are huge credit to the Pizza Express chain. The children absolutely loved the trip and the school based staff were really impressed by the professionalism and care shown towards the children to make their experience as positive and enjoyable as it could be. It was one of the children’s birthday during the trip and the staff made sure that it was a birthday to never forget by bringing out candles and a cake - the child returned to school and gladly told me all about it! A true sign of how much the children loved the trip is that they all came back to school telling staff that they wanted to work at Pizza Express in the future! I would like to thank all the Speke Pizza Express staff for all their efforts in organising the trip and for their delivery. I look forward to working with Pizza Express in the future! In the meantime, I will regularly be visiting Pizza Express which is my favourite restaurant!

I came in with family in the day time for food. We were greeted by Harry who made us feel very welcomed and accommodated in the restaurant. He was very polite and quick to take our order. The chef Caitlin prepared our food and brought it over due to the manager being busy at the time. The food was perfectly cooked and we enjoyed our time in the restaurant due to the friendliness of the staff.

Everyone was very pleasant and accommodating for a member of our party who had a wheelchair too and the food was great

Came on the 30th September with my partner for a date night. The booking was for 5:30 but we arrived 5 minutes early.  At 5:35, we received our drinks and ordered 1 doughballs as a starter to share and 2 pizzas for the main. We got the starter about 5:50. About 5 mins later, we asked the lady server who took our plate if we could please have the mains. We were looking around, and it didn't look like that many tables were getting their food. It wasn't very busy either. I saw a lot of deliveroo drivers coming in and out to collect orders. At 6:30, we asked a lady server how long our pizzas would be as we were waiting for a while. She said she would check for us. Another couple by us asked the lady if they could take their pizzas to go as they were waiting a long time for theirs. At 6:35, the lady server came out to us to say that the kitchen had lost our order ticket, and they were going to put the pizzas in the oven for us. Me and my partner had bowling booked next door for 7 and had to get there 10 minutes early to check in. I asked the lady to cancel and and we would have to leave. She said we could take it to go. In the end, we agreed to take it out because we would have waited longer to settle the bill after eating, plus we were starving! The lady was charging us full price for the meal when she got out the card machine. I was unhappy about this and asked if we could get a discount due to a long wait, forgetting our order and having a frustrating experience. The lady came back after 5 minutes and said her manager took the dough balls off the bill. I still wasn't very happy about it but paid just over £42 for a ruined food date, to then take the pizzas to our car to quickly eat and rush over to the bowling place. Here's me thinking 1 and a half hours would be enough to have a starter and a main. Extremely disappointed! They didn't even seem that apologetic about it. It was the first time I brought my partner to Pizza Express, as I recommended it, due to great experiences at the one in Liverpool One. Safe to say, he doesn't want to return to Pizza Express based on the poor service that night. We won't be returning to the speke one.

I was greeted and served by Bella an excellent waitress who made my experience fun whilst also maintaining excellent levels of customer service. My pizza was beautifully cooked by Mike, who received my compliments. I’ll be coming back again.

We went in for our anniversary after having our first date at the one in Manchester. The food was delicious. The child's combined menu and activities sheet went down a treat with our 7 year old. Food arrived quickly. Staff were fantastic. The restaurant was spotlessly clean. Recommend the cafe reale fig and mascapone, a real treat for dessert. The children's menu was good value for money at £7.95 and the rest came in at about £30 per head for starter, shared main and dessert. We will definitely be going back.

Just been into this restaurant. Waited 5 minutes to be seated. Then waited 15 minutes for order to be taken. Food looked overdone....server spent more time with a group of 14 people. Obviously they get better tips from large groups...dont think I will return.....its amazing how you only respond to positive feedback....

Me and my family came out before after we had been the cinema and everything about this place is absolutely amazing, from the food to the staff. We had Mia as our server and she was a superstar helping us top up our drinks while we were waiting and helping us get settled in. The pizza was gorgeous as well. We got recommended here from a few of our family and friends who have been before and i couldnt thank them enough for the recommendation. Overall it was a great family day out and would just like to give one last thank you to Mia for being lovely to us all evening.

Had a lovely meal here with my boyfriend and best friend. Mary was our server for the night and she was so lovely and accommodating. So chatty and friendly and gave some fab menu suggestions when we asked. Made sure everything was perfect for us and helped us with our student discount too!
