Pizza Express in Harrow

There was one waiter serving 8 tables at lunch time. He was frantically working. Very polite and apologetic. Manager came in half an hour later from the back. Wondered around, made a coffee for herself and left. Deliveroo guy waiting for ages as only one waiter. Ridiculous. My salad nicoise came without potato and explanation. By this point I was grateful to get food and had to get out. Beautiful interior. This manager needs to start managing. I’m not coming back in a hurry.

I have never met a ruder waiter in my life!! Every single item of food and drink was wrong and he replied with “it’s not my fault” every single time. He also yelled at me to WAIT after I simply asked for the bill or for tap water. When I asked for some money off my bill as not only was all the food wrong, it was also cold and took almost two hours to arrive, he yet again shouted that it wasn’t his fault and blamed it on the fact it was a weekend - a busy restaurant is not an excuse for very rude behaviour and poor service. You need to sack this guy. Every single table around me was dumbfounded with how rude he was - he’s an embarrassment to a reasonably good restaurant

Ordered a take away via Deliveroo but my pizza was missing. Deliveroo offered my money back but I wanted my food, especially as I’ve just finished chemotherapy, have just got my appetite back and really wanted this particular pizza! Tried to phone the restaurant but there is no way to speak to a human member of staff. Very very disappointed.

What has happened to pizza express Stanmore. Starters of garlic mushrooms with goats cheese looked nothing like the picture. Small mushrooms with Small bits of goats cheese. Not worth the money. Pizza not cooked in the middle. No wine glasses so we had to have, not asked first, gin and tonic glasses with wine. They refunded my pizza at the end. Now I get emails asking for feedback and offering free doughballs. Best look elsewhere for pizza in Stanmore.

They always deliver a fabulous margarita pizza and fresh crunchy salad . Stanmore is airy & spotless . My brother had an old classic each qtr was different . A try for next time ?

AWFUL SERVICE FROM PIZZA EXPRESS STANMORE - have just left AN EMPTY restaurant (maybe 6-8 tables in use ) after waiting an hour and all we got were 2 starters! Abysmal service, walked out in the end. Absolutely pathetic, will never attend a Pizza Express restaurant again. This embarrassing treatment has lost you a customer for life.

I went to this restaurant with some friends last week and we asked the waiter for a table. He didn't actually speak, instead pointed to a table. We sat down and asked him for the menu. Again he did not speak and he wondered off, we assumed to get the menus for us. He then disappeared and we asked two different members of staff for some menus. Well after 20 minutes of waiting for the menus, we understandably got up and left. Nobody even came over to ask if we wanted anything to drink.

The service was so slow that my meter ran out before my main course had come! Starters were extremely quickly and then the wait started. It was not because the restaurant was busy and we waited and then a miracle occurred the main turned up. The main was good and hot. If the service was quicker I would have given them a better review.

Went solo today and I had the most arrogant waitress. I got in a liitle hot n tired so I didn't quite catch the ordering instructions, but I was rudely reminded. Poor service, didn't finish my mains and she didn't ask if I wanted a take away just took my food, coffee came with no milk as waitress was more interested in talking to her friend who was dining in. No thank you when I left.

Due to the present condition they have cut down on the choices of dishes available but still a good choice of pizzas and salads.

Went here for a child’s birthday celebration. Got an online code...never go to Pizza Express without one as there is always something. Good family friendly restaurant, although slightly perturbed that a neighbouring table thought that letting their child race a remote control car around the restaurant was acceptable! Nice food, always know what to expect. However still quite expensive for what it is.

I quite like this Pizza Express, friendly atmosphere and good layout... but recently the standards are dropping when compared to other local pizza/pasta restaurants.The service is overall okay but the quality of food overall has dropped a little - my pizza last time was slightly burnt and another dish was cold.... it didn't really feel like value for money.The good news is that you rarely need a reservation and there is a small car park at the rear which is handy.

I love coming to this restaurant. The staff are top notch, food is always lovely and fresh and the atmosphere is great. A much nicer experience than a takeaway pizza. My friend is vegan - their vegan menu is pretty extensive and I am assured quite delicious!

I’ve visited this restaurant many times and the standard of food and service is consistently good. We ordered the new halloumi bites on our most recent visit but sadly were not impressed as they were tiny and the portion was very small. Also when I use my meercat app, it usually allows me to buy one get one free on side orders as well as starters, mains and desserts, but in this occasion I was charged the full price so paid just under £5 for a few scraps of cheese. Having said that, everything else was excellent.

Yesterday I was to dinner there I want to say first the service was excellent specily the beautiful girl jana she is verry friendly with all Customer next week come my some friend from Germany and we definitely come to there dinner

Have been coming here for many years with my family and friends too. Always a lovely visit, the staff are amazing and always have a smile for you. Food is always cooked to perfection and I can’t fault the service. Would highly recommend this branch.

We used out taste card and we both ordered different pasta dishes. Our pasta sauces were overpowering and the pasta was a little undercooked. Very disappointing from a chain of this size. Sort out Pizza express, change/retrain your chefs, your loosing customers. .

With service We received today we place our food and we were serve Nice Hot Starters, , Our mains food was ready but The SO CALLED MANAGER Behnaz Jabarooty who i spoke to said i do not have to eat hear if i am not happy with there service.When i told her that it takes Manager and her three staff to find a place for 6 peopleHer response was i do not have to come to this restaurant, and told me to leave.When i told her to bring my bill THE MANAGE Behnaz jabarooty DID not even know how to use the till made us wait another 8mins before another member of the staff did our bill WE were serve very cold pizza and were told they will get the chef to reheat our food if we are not happy Otherwise we can leave .Pls be careful the restaurant has gone worse and nasty service This is not the first time all the staff including the manager need to go on CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING ON HOW TO DEAL WITH CUSTOMER

So disappointing! I came to this branch in July and loved the food, the decor and service, so when a friend suggested we meet for lunch midAugust I agreed. This time- the food just wasn’t up to standard. The Caesar salad may have had some Cos lettuce but the bowl was filled up with some other roughly cut dry dark green lettuce (?). We had to ask for dressing. My usual- Legarra American hot was over cooked and as dry and tasteless as plain crackers. The place was surprisingly busy and looked understaffed as tables were not cleared as people left.

Today we decided last minute to stop at the restaurant for a late lunch. Our waiter was exceptionally professional and calm when another table of two women were giving him grief for no reason. The greeting was warm and the food was delicious. The chef even greeted us ! We left satisfied and shall be returning. No faults !

At 7.20 pm I ordered a pizza, lasagne and dessert online (and a plastic bag) for collection. Was given a collection slot of 8.00 pm to 8.15 pm. My husband went to collect at 8.10 pm. Staff flustered. Did not recognise my name. Told him order not ready, to come back at 8.15pm. Was handed 3 boxes containing 2 stone cold soggy pizzas, one large and one small (not ordered by me), and a lasagne. No bag. Dessert missing. Both pizzas inedible and I have binned them.

One Pizza express menu is going to be the same as the next one and the food quality should not differ by that much. The pizzas were good as expected. However this Pizza Express is large and roomy which makes it a good place to eat in comfort. Add the very good and attentive service and some pretty good coffees and you end up with a rather pleasant quick eating experience. The result was a large tip which, for me, is quite unusual.

I have always come to this branch. Always have been happy. But this round the margarita pizza had 10% cheese on it. I told the waiter and he said we are cutting back now. This is the way we make it. He knew I wasn't happy so he said he would make me another this time I truly can say it was less than 10%. I couldn't be bothered to argue again. It's ridiculous. The staff have all changed. Missing Kumar who was a real asset to the stanmore branch. Don't think I will visit this branch again.

One of the better of the chain with comfortable, roomy, airy and light seating. Staff are friendly and as one of a chain, this does not disappoint.

Long long... cher pour le petit format de la pizza abusé ! et cuite au four électrique. La garniture est pas très présente . La sauce c'est du pack pas cuisiné et le fromage c'est de la préparation pas du vrai fromage. On 'n' est loin de la qualité italienne. Pour les enfants la bolognaise se résume a de la viande avec une sauce en boite. Dommage le resto est mignon.

Visited Friday evening after doing online booking previous day. Was busy. Were promptly seated but waiters took 15 minutes just to ask for order oe drinks. Ordered Padana pizza with addition of red chillies, marghritta pizza all with thin and crispy Romana base. Also one pasta dish. All vegetarian items on menu are clearly marked with a V sign. In addition you can get info about ingredients from their app. You can alao order via their app for food to be ready on arrival.

Very good starter to share, and lovely pizzas. Waiter was exceptional, did all we asked and with a smile. Made our visit better than expected! Only observation was not inexpensive for a pizza dinner, even after using the Tesco vouchers!!

I agree with the previous review about the great service from Ryan. He really has enthusiasm for his job and for all the people he meets. Better than the rest of the staff who don't even smile. Food was mediocre.

Had the most amazing service from Ryan today. Really friendly guy, polite and totally professional. Got our orders right down to a tee. Sorted out the drinks for us just the way i like it. Food was excellent as always. We frequent this place at least once a month, and we are never disappointed. Only thing missing was Kumar who is such a great chef but sadly he is working in another branch. Pizza express need more people like Ryan and Kumar.

Had a lovely evening with the girls. Food was delicious and the service was great. Always makes for a good night out.

My friends and I regularly eat at this particular branch and I have never had any issues with my food or service but today the way we were treated was absolutely disgusting and unacceptable for such a large well reknown brand.When we arrived we were pleasantly greeted and sat down. We ordered our drinks and starters. The drinks usually come immediately followed by the starters. The restaurant was relatively busy so we were surprised that both the starters (bruschetta & dough balls) arrived with the drinks within minutes. As I took a bite into the dough balls I could immediately tell they weren't fresh as they had hardened and weren't piping hot as they usually are when they arrive on the table so I had to ask the waitress to take them back and bring some fresh ones out which she was happy to do. Once we had finished we ordered 2 cannelloni's. Being a vegetarian it's my favourite dish and therefore it is always the only dish I order for my mains. When the cannellonis arrived it had grated cheese on top which I have never experienced before and it hadn't been grilled like it always is so my friend and I were a little surprised as to why it looked the way it did and why there was Parmesan cheese grated on top without our consent. All restaurants ask once the dish has been served if the customer would like Parmesan as it is not just an acquired taste but also not a vegetarian cheese. Monika who at the time we did not know was the manager was walking past so I called her over and explained that we hadn't asked for Parmesan cheese and pointed out the cheese to her on both our dishes. She immediately gave off the impression she wasn't bothered with her body language and began to tell us that this is what the dish is and that they always serve it in this manner. I tried to explain to her that I always eat this dish and I have never had it served like this and that I didn't want Parmesan cheese on my cannelloni. She became argumentative and began raising her voice at me and wouldn't allow me to explain my reasons. When she had finished I asked her to make us fresh cannellonis without the Parmesan cheese to which she begrudgingly agreed at which point I pointed out to her that that was all I wanted her to offer me instead of arguing with me. As she took the dishes away I looked around and was embarrassed to find customers looking in our direction due to the commotion she had caused by arguing with us. We waited for our dishes to be re made as we understand mistakes can be made when it comes to eating out but her attitude was what upset my friend and I and although we contemplated leaving we stayed as it was already quite late and we were both quite hungry. As we were waiting I saw Monika go to one of the tills whilst the waitress who had served us approached us to confront us and have a go at us for not informing her that we didn't want in her own words "Parmesan cheese" when we had placed our order. I was shocked that Monika who surely has had some kind of training if not experience in dealing with customers even if she had felt we had been unreasonable it's part of the job to ensure customer satisfaction would allow her staff to approach us in this manner. It was unprofessional and uncalled for because as far as we were concerned the matter had been resolved once the dishes were taken away. I told the waitress it had been sorted yet she thought it appropriate to say "So you don't want cheese or basil on top for garnish" at which point I told her I wanted cheese just not Parmesan cheese and she walked off. A short while later we were bought our cannellonis and despite making it clear we wanted cheese we were served a dish that had a few blotches of white cream on top and no cheese. Again we called the waitress over and asked what she had served us and where the cheese was to which she said "You said you didn't want cheese so this is it". I asked her to bring me a menu over so that I could explain perhaps in a simpler manner what I was asking (which by the way was the exact thing on the menu with no extras i.e. the Parmesan) but she just didn't seem to understand. The menu describes the cheese used in the dish to be Gran Milano no Parmesan. At this point another waiter arrived and began explaining that they do not have Parmesan cheese as they stopped using it 2 years ago. I asked him why we weren't told this when we sent the first dish back as the issue was that we couldn't eat Parmesan cheese and why the manager didn't inform us of this to which he casually said "They say Parmesan is the same as Gran Milano. Are you kidding me?! How is this waiter telling me a dish they serve marked with a V sign next to it being served with Parmesan cheese which is not vegetarian! He continued to try and explain that some people call it Parmesan but it is infant Grab Milano. I had lost my temper by this point and although I wasn't abusive my voice may have risen but having staff not knowing what they are serving, not having any knowledge of what they are serving or the implications it has if they do not know what they are talking about could have was just beyond my belief. My friend had a photo of the cannelloni she had the week before which she showed the staff and explained this is what it should look like but he kept interrupting her and talking over her and I could see this was getting nowhere. She asked for the manager to come out again and when she came I asked her why she hadn't told us that the grated cheese that was on there wasn't Parmesan but was Gran Milano to which she said "You didn't ask me". I pointed out to her that I sent the cannellonis back because I thought the cheese was Parmesan and instead of correcting me which she would've been able to do if she herself had knowledge of what cheese is used to make the cannelloni she was rude and could've solved the problem by sending it back to just be grilled. I guess an apology was the last thing on her mind as she then raised her voice again and told me I couldn't speak to her like that and when I asked her for her name she said something to the waitress in a language I didn't understand. I wasn't going to be eating here any longer and asked for our dishes to be taken away. She took them and walked off, no apology, no substitute for another dish off the menu, no nothing. As she went off into the back one by one all the staff followed her leaving the restaurant with no waiters or waitresses for us to be able to ask for our bill. Eventually the waiter came out and when we asked for our bill he told us it had been taken care off. We insisted on paying for what he had and didn't want them to waive the bill for the items we had consumed as it was only right that we pay but we was insistent that the bill had already been cleared. So we left.Even now I am unclear what the cannelloni is being made from. If Parmesan cheese is being used then this is not vegetarian and I will be pursuing this matter further should this matter not be cleared as frankly I think it's disgusting to go into a restaurant and seeing the staff have no knowledge at all of what they are serving!I have written to their head office but for all vegetarians who may go there for this particular dish please be aware.

We had a family get together for Sunday lunch. Pizzas and pastas were all good but it was the service, nothing was too much from Ryan and his team - including allowing the kids to play with dough at the pizza bar for ages.

This is an amazing place for Italian food. The pasta was superb & so were the pizzas. The starters were even great in taste.

A pre-Adele supper and very nice too. Great service, well presented food and a decent Pinot. Our calamari was one of the best we've had in the UK.

Went her for dinner the this evening with our 3 kids, food was good as always however we sat through our meal waiting for it to kick off between the staff. There was a very heightened sense of irritability in the place. Not sure I'd return

When you appear to be the first to enter the restaurant when it opens, then you expect good service - not the waitress chatting to the chefs instead of taking your order. No tip left this visit ! However, when served the food was hot and tasty.

Our family are regulars at this restaurant. We enjoy the dishes we order and the service. What also makes a difference is there are always bill discount vouchers offered on line.

We received a nice greeting, but for me it's too formulaic a menu and too difficult to get further attention once we were eating. I ordered a new pizza; the Barbacoa, which was advertised as "smoky, spicy and full-flavoured" with pulled beef, spicy chipotle salsa and garlic oil. Instead it tasted like it had been drowned in overly sweet BBQ sauce. I would have been so much happier with the simple Margherita my children ordered.

I came here a couple of weeks ago as I wanted to try their gluten free pizza base as I am gluten intolerant so I ordered it, got talking with the staff who were very friendly and a lovely lady I think she was the manager who was telling me about the gluten intolerant pizza base I got it as a take away and called 2 hours after finishing it to say how lovely it was. I went back tonight and a lovely man served me it was quite busy as it was pushing on 7pm but my pizza was made in about 10-15 mins and I previously got talking to the lady who makes the pizzas who is very friendly and the man who took my order was lovely as well then I went to leave and forgot one ingredient so he came out to my car, ran back in with the pizza, added the rocket and came back which was lovely of him!I would happily come back here time after time if your gluten intolerant try their pizza base because it is truly delicious and tastes like a normal pizza base!Thank you pizza express again for such wonderful service and such delicious food!

As I arrived within a few minutes of opening, I think I was the first customer of the day as I had the choicAe of any table. My 'snack' consisted of two separate starters which were delivered quickly and hot by a pleasant and attentive waitress. (By the time I left, the restaurant had become fairly busy, although still plenty of room.)

Booked a table for a Friday night for 3 people in advance. Got there and the place was really busy. They decided to sit us on a tiny table next to a huge and I mean huge radiator. It was immediately unbearable so we asked for another table. I have no idea why they have a table next to this radiator, it's like sitting in front of a furnace. Anyway there were no other tables available apart from a 2 seater. We couldn't squeeze on to that so we left and went up the road to Prezzo. There was plenty of room there and the food was delicious. Every cloud has a silver lining.

We went actually looking for a puib in Stanmore but we could not find one so we ended up in this Pizza Express.One of us ordered a starter & the other one a pizza.The starter came and it was not as described in the menu while my pizza came 35' later. It is not a good feeling to wait 35' for your order to come.The staff is very nice and helpful but they are not well trained and they cannot help the customers.They are willing but willingness on its own is not enough to result in a good service. Pity

I just have to say a big thank David. The most kind and generous manager I have ever met. I was stranded in London..no trains going North... waiting for someone to drive 3 hours to come and collect me. The kindness...poured out from his heart..letting me wait there out of the cold..blew me away. His care and compassion second to none. What a lovely example for his staff and someone I won't ever forget. Thank you

Not enough staff on. This was a busy Friday lunch time and only two staff. Tables were left dirty and service was very slow. The Pizza tasted OK but the egg in the middle was hard and both pizza were over cooked. We had two different pizza's and they both tasted the same. Service needs to be addressed.

This has to be the worst Pizza Express in London & beyond,the wrong dish comes out regularly the soft egg ordered in the centre of the pizza was rock hard when sent back it returned with a raw egg in the centre,it was revolting.My pizza was burnt & others in our party had numerous errors.One to miss!!!

The food, as usual, was fantastic and came out promptly. The waiter was friendly, attentive, and generally just kind! Have been many times before and always happy to go back. Great evening.

Cannot fault tonight's experience....floor staff lovely and engaging, food Delicious....I don't normally write reviews but the table next to us were complaining and moaning to the manageress and blatantly trying to get freebies not understanding the world of hospitality and basic human manners...thought the least they deserve was an honest review, not wanting anything free, or just moaning because I hate my life.....simply delicious fiorentina pizza, excellent waiting staff, lovely atmosphere...try the honeycomb cheesecake its too good....done!

This is the closest pizza express branch to us. It's got a lovely set up. However the service really needs improving. This is of no fault of the current waiters and waitresses. This comes down solely to management cutting costs by resourcing less staff. On Friday night, a peak time there were 2, max 3 people taking orders and serving food and drinks in an absolute packed restaurant. After finishing our starters, we waiting nearly 15-20 mins and eventually my aunt had to walk up to a waiter and asked for our table to be cleared and for our mains orders to be taken. Mains and desserts came out as you would expect but the negligence due to being rushed off their feet was evident. No new cutlery, no glasses for the jugs, no plates even though we had clearly said we were sharing the food we'd ordered. The bill. This was the most long winded process. Having provided our pizza express voucher codes and birthday offer, the bill eventually came overcharging us by over £30. It took 15 mins from finishing our dessert for the first bill to actually be given to us. Having informed the waiter we then spent another 15 mins waiting for a new bill. By this time, it was way past the kids bed time so 2 of us stayed back whilst the rest of the family headed home. We arrived at 6, we got home down the road at 9. We ordinarily would have been home by 8. Advice to management, have enough staff during peak hours. Back up staff on call in case your short.

Me and my siblings went to your restaurant yesterday to have dinner. The atmosphere was nice and they staff seemed lovely. But there was on male waiter, he seemed very talkative and bubbly. When he came to take our order, I could not help but notice how disgustingly dirty his nails were. There were actually awful that it put me and my siblings off so much. We stayed knowing that he wasn't cooking the food but when he tried to open my lemonade, I had to insist he did not open it as simply his nails were filthy. Being a food restaurant, I expected your staff to be hygienic and clean but this was not the case with him. Also, later on, once the restaurant got quiet, I over heard him talking to his colleague and swearing (using the f word) which again I do not want to hear when I'm trying to have a nice, quiet meal with my family. For sure I will not be going to that branch again!

The food was great and the service from Ryan 13 was brilliant. He was extremely friendly and us feel really comfortable.

I love pizza express at the best of times, and the one in Stanmore is wonderful, cheerful and great food and service.

Relatively quite 'fine dining' atmosphere; The pizza is quite good - not exceptionaly by any standards but very nice, very tasty; There is a bar where children can play and create with dough and the cooks - sometimes - will bake the creation and pronto your kid will have his/her own biscuit! It is a company so there will be little/no personal -social - bond or friendship/interaction formed with the chef/ manager. Usually no need to reserve a pizza a pizza on Saturday evening takes 15-20 minutes to make and serve A pizza on Friday night takes 10-15 minutes to make and serve a pizza on Sunday afternoon/evening takes 10 minutes to make and serve

Had a catch up with an old friend on Thursday and we both chose the same meal, and it was really tasty.The serving staff were very attentive and we thoroghly enjoyed ourselves, will certainly visit again,

We don't normally eat in Pizza Express, but we wanted a quick meal and we wanted to use our Taste Card.We were shown to a table in the window and given the menu. They were busy and it was only 5.30 on a Wednesday. We sat there for a few minutes before a very friendly waitress came to take our drinks order. We said that we had made up our mind so could she take our food order at the same time. People were coming in the whole time and the chefs were really running around doing an excellent job.Our starters came up at about 6 nice and hot. I had the special if oak smoked salmon rissoto and hubby had calamari. Both were very nice to follow we both had penne mine with Bolognese and hubby's with chicken and mushrooms. There again tasty and hot till the last bite We would of normally had a dessert but we were really late for a meeting so just paid the bill and left.We had a good experience and will return of not to Stanmore then to another venue.

Always happy here with service and this time took my granddaughter for lunch.Good service and attention Only hiccup was they forgot my granddaughters drink but still charged for it Luckily we always check the itemised bill and this was corrected in NOT a very friendly manner by what appeared to be the manager whose understanding of english was either poor or he was pretending ??

As usual,we had an excellent meal. The pizzas were delicious. The Spinach Ricotto Canoloni possibly the best ever tasted. The staff were very helpful & arrentive. Have been numerous times & will go many more . Special thanks to the manager

An always reliable branch of Pizza Express, food is yummy and service is excellent! Really enjoyed my meal there last night.

We come to Stanmore pizza express once a week because :It's walking distance mid weekdays nice for my wife to know she's got an evening off cooking and It's got great staffthe pizza here is the same as any pizza express- solid -with vouchers it's not expensive But the staff here are all greatThey are attentive and genuinely seem to care that you are happy with your meal It's a cliche to say "it is ,what it is " but staff here make it more than that

Have been to this branch twice this month and both times have received great tasting hot pizzas delivered to the table. make sure you ask them to slice the pizzas as they do not do that on Saturdays

Go to Stanmore Pizza Express regularly. My girls love the Dough playing area Kumar always entertains them. Staff are friendly

We've been many many times and always very happy and enjoyable / small gripe - air conditioning unit not as good s it should be

Lovely location and atmosphere.However sometimes due to the demand service levels drops.but still one of teh most populat local locations for a buzzing energy and decent food.

The pasta was stone cold, the pizza was burnt. No staff in sight. A total of 3 staff service the whole restaurant. When we complained about the food, the response was no one has complained before. Pathetic to the core.Would recommend whoever is thinking of visiting the Stanmore Pizza Express, please get you Pizzas from Asda. They taste better and you will save your money.

This is my local Pizza Express and I have been here so many times. It is lovely inside and they have a place for the children to play with dough too. The food is fabulous and the staff are always very nice.I love going here and would highly recommend it.

Good food, fast and pleasant service. We booked on the day for a party of nine. Very enjoyable Car parking to rear. Beware that Stanmore is used on Wembley match days for park and ride.

The food is really nice, everyone enjoyed there meal even though the pizzas are not as big as expected especially the children's pizza which was eaten in seconds! The service was good but waited a long time at first to be given menu's until one of us had to ask but really enjoyed the food and would come again.

I am living in stamore 3 year and i eat many place pizza but express pizza was excellent first time i bin there now i go to everry time there the staff was verry nice

the place is always buzzing with energy and open plan kitchen displaying teh skills of the pizza maker.The menu is comprehensive and the food is lovely .

Had a lovely dinner at this restaurant. The food was really nice and the waiter serving us was really helpful, polite and gave us extremely great service.

just a standard pizza express with plenty of room friendly service and good quality pizza,I like the rustic base but the choice is yours

Popped into this restaurant for a bite to eat before catching the tube to Wembley for the FA Cup semi-final. Nothing really to say except: good food, friendly staff and reasonable prices! Will definitely visit again when we are next going into London.

We frequent this place on a regular basis and have never been disappointed. It can get busy in there, but the staff are all very professional and attentive. Kumar the chef is always great with kids, and makes excellent food!

First impressions were poor. Male waiter in far too much of a hurry - don't know why, as restaurant wasn't busy. Couldn't take any variations to our order, far too much trouble. However, persistence pays! Stroke of luck and he was replaced by a charming waitress who took time and trouble to make sure we had what we wanted. Rescued! Look, it's pizza, but all we had was freshly prepared, good quality and hot. Very nice pleasant casual meal!

Always have a great meal with the family here. The staff are friendly and the food is always served exactly the way the kids like it. David and Nadia great service- Kumar is a great cook.

We went out for a family dinner for my son's birthday. The restaurant was very busy for a wednesday night, and the atmosphere was happy and buzzing. The staff are all very friendly and polite. The food came quickly and was delicious. The kids can play with the dough - which they all enjoy. The dough is very popular and some children were at the dough area for a long time, which meant that our children had to wait quite a long time. The restaurant is very noisy, and it was hard to talk to one another, but apart from that the dinner was lovely.

Visited Pizza Express. Service was great, with a very attentive friendly waiter. He was cheerful and very helpful and food was good. Like the idea that young children are allowed to play with the dough. A relaxed evening was had by all. Deft be going there again for pizza.

Just love the consistency of Pizza Express. The staff are lovely, the food is nice, I can always find a healthy low cal option if I want too and the kids like it!

Is very family friendly but not the best for couples without kids due to the number of families with kids that go there. Food is average.

The waiter we had tonight was really rude and had a very strange personality. We ordered an Irish coffee and it came black. We asked for cream and he said it doesn't come with cream and that he can give it to us if we wanted it, but it won't taste right. We were convinced that an Irish coffee comes with cream - we googled it and it does. We told him that it says "finished with a layer of cream" on the menu and he asked us "what if you're allergic to cream?" How strange. Anyway, after asking for it to be removed from the bill his colleague then came over with a proper Irish coffee... So basically our original waiter had no idea how to make it so he just gave us an Americano with a shot of whiskey in it. He was also really gobby and rude throughout our meal. He said "happy birthday" to my grandad in another language because he thought we were a certain race, which in fact we aren't. Just ignorant and ruined what would have been a fun family meal out. It wasn't my Grandad's birthday. FYI if you want to communicate with your customers in their "native" language, why don't you find out what race they actually are tactfully before you start blurting out words in another language because you think they're a specific race due to the colour of their skin. Ignorant. As for the food; mediocre overall. Won't be coming here again!

Situated at the beginning of the Broadway, near the intersection with Marsh Lane. Parking impossible outside, but readily available in the large Lidl car park opposite or in the service road opposite. Went here after a late job for a bite to eat and enjoyed the pizza which was cooked to perfection.The service was really good, staff couldn't have been more helpful despite me being in my messy work clothing.

had a quick Sunday lunch with the family, food was yummy and service was great we even had a picture with our waiter as he was so nice not sure if his name but he made our day

Had great fun here for my daughter's 10th Birthday party. Catered well for a group of noisy girls during a busy period. Allowed us to bring own cake. I have to say that the level of customer service and efficiency from the staff has vastly improved recently.

Overall the service was fine, the order was messed up a little as we ordered a caesar salad and we got a tuna salad which was resolved swiftly. But sadly during the end of my meal I found 2 hairs under my pizza, I felt sick. We reported this to the waitress who rudely replied it happens?? and do we want dessert. We immediately asked for the manager who apologized nicely and discounted the bill and also offered dessert and coffee which we declined as we felt sick after the 2 hair experience. We recommend hair nets for the chefs to reduced chances of suck incidents.

Great for young kids as they are allowed at the counter to roll and make pizza the staff are great and it is enjoyable for everyone,food is ok it's pizza so you get what you great overall great

This weekend we had a pizza making party at Stanmore Pizza Express for my daughters 5th Birthday. We had 10 guests in total plus parents and it was a brilliant experience.Vijay, took control of the group of 5 year old from the start and immediately earned their respect by throwing the pizza dough into the air.The children followed his every word especially regarding washing their hands.All the parents said what a great success the party was and I can't speak highly enough of how our expectations were surpassed.Well done Vijay/Pizza Express!

Lovely dough balls and pizzas. The staff are very friendly. The drinks are pricey. The restaurant is nice and clean.

I love pizza and this place has amazing pizza, the service is great and the place is nice. The bruschetta and the dough balls were super tasty with dipping sauces. The goat cheese and caramelized onion pizza is delicious and so creative.

Booked a table for 7 earlier that day which they could accommodate. The food was all lovely, service was good and pretty quick too. Not my first visit and would go back again :-)

Good pizza and pasta. I tried a veggie lasagne which was nice but not filling. My son enjoyed the childrens course. Good service.

Staff seem to get flustered and slow when the restaurant is busy - they can't cope!! Asked for the bill three times until it finally arrived to then find it was wrong!

Loved it here. We had a busy day in Central London this restaurant is just minutes from Stanmore station and car parking nearby too. The staff were friendly and approachable - them manager seemed a little stressed but waiting on team were great. Chef let the kids play with dough at the kitchen unit, waited asked my daughter could she help him to make dessert and she was thrilled!! Food was delicious and not a long wait for it. clean and tidy - toilets were small but presentable. Music was loud esp after coming from a busy place to wanting some quiet but all in all it was a great experience - thanks! Also they could provide me with gluten-free option which is always a blessing and were happy to accommodate my daughters food allergy and use the sauce I brought for her pasta. great!

This place is sometimes very busy and service gets poor. One time, I had to wait around 45 minutes for my pizza to arrive. However, the pizza tastes good and there are lots of variety.

3 adults and 2 kids. The staff were very diligent, 3 working behind the cooking counter and a good number serving. The decor was drab and uninspiring, the flat surfaces reflected the noise which was considerable, maybe the use of a few rugs on the walls................, the food was tasty and not long in coming. The cost seemed a bit on the high side. The restaurant at 7. 30 sunday nite was very full, should you wish to go consider booking if poss. Will we go back, possibly not.

We like pizza express for the consistency and quality of their menu. However the maximum they deserve here is 3 stars because:a) our table was dirty. They cleared the table after the previous customers but they never cleaned the table which was very clearly dirty.b) they left an ingredient out from my pizzac) they got the dessert order wrong.

Visited the restaurant on a Friday 3:45pm when there were only 2 tables occupied. The waiter ( of tamil/ Asian ethnicity) made little effort to check the kitchen before replying no continously to whether the restaurant had fresh mint for a chilled soft drink. Only for him to inform our group 20 minuites later , fresh mint was available.This waiter could not converse clearly , it seemed English was not his first language which is fine if one does not have a hostile attitude. The chef was incredibly noisy with stacking plates with no regard to customers.We also had a another waiter who replaced the first but this was not communicated to us, rather we overheard our waiter requesting his colleague to take over so he can leave in time for his shift end. The starters and mains were satisfactory as the Penne could have been hotter.Overall a disappointing experience as a local; which has made me second guess any future idea to visit.

i collected 1000 nectar points which i used to buy a voucher for 2 free main courses. the Pollo pesto with red onions and mushrooms with out chicken is the best dish i have had its great really yummy. My hubby had a pizza and with beef and green peppers. he asked can he switch the green peppers for little but of extra cheese the waiter said you can't ask the beef is marinated with green peppers already so we can't but i can add extra cheese for you any way. My husband said yes please just a little bit extra would be great.We enjoyed our food and we had a good time but when the bill came there was a charge of £1.65 for cheese. We asked the guy and he said you asked for an extra topping. The extra cheese we had on the pizza was not much and also the waiter himself offered to add a bit extra he never mentioned it would be an additional topping or any charge otherwise my husband would have thought twice before paying that price for a tiny sprinkle of cheese. The manger then came and made a huge drama saying we should read the menu that extra toppings are charged. We said we know but we did not know the sprinkle of cheese was considered this, plus the way the waiter offered we thought it was free. In the end she waved the cost of and said its common sense that you should pay. Very rude.
