Pizza Express in Hillingdon

Been going there for years and have given them great reviews before, however last night me and my family were made to feel very unwelcome. Customer service has certainly gone down and the lady staff who brought our food was point blank rude and kept talking to her colleagues while pointing at us. All we did was mentioned that our food was burnt. We didn’t even ask for another one. She says it’s meant to be like that otherwise it would be raw inside?!? We have had cannelloni before and it certainly not meant to be char burnt. You can’t really enjoy your food when you are surrounded by such immature behaviour.

Amazing food, all freshly cooked. Great service, staff are friendly and helpful. Restaurant is clean with lots of searing. Has a small outside area to sit and eat too. Very good menu for meat eaters as well as vegetarians. Lots of choices for deserts and drinks. Nice wines, prosecco and some cocktails

All good, nice food. Service was a bit slow but they only had one poor lady on service who was doing everything, so I don't blame her in the slightest.

Food cold and not sealed with any protection from contamination box half open when received same as last meal received from gdk stone cold and then only offer a third of money back

The garlic butter was nice but the rest was just a waste of money - better quality and portion sizes from basically any other takeaway place

The food was ice cold therefore very chewy. Very disappointed as this is the first time I ordered from Pizza Express. Will never order again.

you guys didn't cut the pizza it's looks like chapati not pizza. I am not happy with this order.

I was waiting to be served for ages - I don’t mind waiting but l felt completely ignored by the staff, no one acknowledged me and eventually I had to approach a staff member to get their attention, when I was finally served the staff member looked annoyed and disinterested, she then put my order through the till incorrectly so I wasn’t given a proper receipt. Despite this, the food was very nice. I won't be returning in person ; I'll be ordering online instead and advise anyone else to do the same.

Don’t normally do chains but this was very good. Went especially for my coileac son, they now offer a new full size gluten free Romana pizza and get a 2nd for £2.95. Pizzas were excellent and had very good service on a busy Saturday night

Mohammed was excellent, he gave great service to my family and was very attentive. He has a great was of dealing with customers and is always cheerful. This made our visit very memorable. We enjoy coming here as the atmosphere is always pleasant to be in.

Went for a birthday meal and our waitress Katie was absolutely helpful and kind, food was excellent and everyone left very content. Will be back!

Great visit unfortunately my 5 year old grandson felt ill so we had to leave half way through our meal, the staff assisted by boxing up the remainder of our pizzas to take with us.

Food come and was stone cold the only thing that was warm in my order was my bottle of peroni completely ruined our evening meal such terrible terrible service wouldn’t get this again

The restaurant was very busy, but despite that the service was great and the food was delicious. No complaints at all. Just compliments.

Time of order kept changing £25 for a 11” pizza is a ripoff. Never again will we buy from this company

Nice birthday dinner at pizza express for kids

Food was lovely, but sadly the staff were very inattentive, had to tell the staff that we were ready to order after waiting nearly 20 minutes for someone to serve us - were not overly busy and lots of staff on. Again, had to ask for a dessert menu and were waiting with finished plates for again nearly 20 minutes. Thankfully, we were able to pay on the app for our meal so speed up the process.

Great meal - Pimm's, olives, pizza & tiramisu. The Pimm's was the perfect strength for my taste - strong, but very refreshing. The staff were very friendly & efficient. Unfortunately, my favourite pizza, the Venetziana & favourite dessert, the summer pudding, is not on the menu any more. Please bring them back!

Cannelloni and Bosco Salad particularly recommended - cannelloni filling and tasty, salad had large pieces of artichoke, mushroom, sun-dried tomatoes and cheese with plentiful leaves.

Good date night at the Ruislip Express. Slow start but the service picked up very quickly and we felt at home. We ordered the pesto dough balls (excellent) and garlic mushrooms (wonderful) for starters. We shared a padana pizza that was slightly underdone for our liking. The new fondant dessert was OK. Most of all it was a good night out apart from the opinionated customer at an adjoining table who made sure everyone heard his thoughts (whether you wanted to hear them or not). 2024 Update. Quick Lunch. Still good food and service. Pizza and aracini were on point. Hi eep up the good work

Late. Missing dough balls. They gave us a box of pots of garlic sauce and dip instead….

GF dough balls were black and burned. Asked for a different portion but were burned again. Waitress kindly explained to us that if they were not black and burned, the dough would be raw????? I had no idea what to reply to that so we just shut up and ate the food. Not a chef, but i know how an oven works. Otherwise, the rest of the staff were super helpful and lovely.

We were kept waiting for 10 minutes before we were seated (we had booked) and then left for half hour before our drinks order was taken. It was exceptionally busy and the few staff obviously couldn’t cope. The food was nice when it eventually arrived

Extensive menu and food was very good. My four year old nephew really enjoyed the children’s options.

This is one of the nicest restaurant chains in my opinion. I love that every time I come with my kids, I always have the same waitresses who now knows me and my family- Renata. The food is always brilliant and my kids eat like kings. Even when one of the kids has a meltdown I never feel judged by the staff but really supported in those moments. I always have a great time and the food is always great!

We were served a calzone with cold filling, and when asked why the filling alone was that cold, the lady serving us a scientific lecture and told us she couldn't fix the problem. We were also told "this isn't a MacDonald's" when we asked for a ketchup. Of course she was merely stating a fact, but that isn't a great response to a customer. I'd avoid this place.

Booked for my sister in laws 70th birthday. I was really pleased with the exceptional service from the staff this evening. Jimmi and Nico went out of their way to make our evening feel really special (busy Monday evening too!) They delivered a cake I had bought to the table and sang happy birthday which made her feel really special. I can't thank everyone enough for also being very helpful with my elderly mum. I haven't visited a pizza express for years but will definitely visit the ruislip branch again as all the staff were really lovely and accommodating. Huge Thanks

Had a pizza making party for my daughter there today and it was fantastic, the staff really made an effort to make it enjoyable and the pizzas tasted lovely. Highly recommend

This order took ages to be placed with the restaurant. I called the restaurant and they didn’t have my order half an hour after I had placed it. It took almost an hour and a half before I got it. Not great service!

We have been coming here with our toddler for months and while we enjoy the food it is the staff that make us return. Big shout out to Anna-Louise who always goes the extra mile and puts a smile on our daughters face everytime.

The people are amazing, especially Nico and Roman, you’ll never be disappointed with the service. The food is fabulous, and the atmosphere is great. I’ve been coming here for 15 years and have never been disappointed.

We called the restaurant as we had waited and it just kept saying driver at the restaurant and changing the delivery time. However when we spoke with the restaurant they had made the food but there was no driver. The restaurant person Mo sorted it for us so we are very grateful to pizza express for finding a driver for us so we could eat.

My order arrived 2 hours late. When I called the restaurant after 1 hour the lady told me that on her tablet it said the order was handed over to the driver. She told me she would make the order again and send it. Once it arrived everything was cold. I’m requesting a full refund for this!

I had my daughters birthday party @ Ruislip on the 27th Oct 23, all the children had special needs and Sonia, our waitress was absolutely amazing with them and their needs. She made the "party" go so easy. She looked after them (& us mums) really well and couldn't do enough for us.

Delivery arrived 75 minutes after order was placed. All items cold when arrived. Contacted restaurant and they were rude and did not seem to care about this issue at all. Just told me that it is just eats problem that the food is cold.

Food unfortunately not great value for money. Very expensive for what we got.

Nice food. A long time was spent sorting out the bill when I had an app and some people in my group didn't have cash. The till didn't have a cash float. Only just enough room for all our group, a bit tight on space in the restaurant.

Food was ordered at 18:30 and it gave delivery time 6:55 to 7:15 but then kept on showing later and later and finally food arrived at 6:40 and kids drink Cawston press kids drink was missing. I rang the restaurant but no one answered and left voicemail.

I’ve been going to Pizza Express in Ruislip for many years and the service and food is always exemplary! The staff are wonderful and I’m always greeted and welcomed and given the best service. 7 star in my opinion 🙌🏽💯

Most favourite Place to eat-out. Such a nice and cozy place (Ruislip branch). The staff are very friendly and helpful. And of course the taste of the food is always so great. I have been there for more than 20 times, but never had bad experience there. All the time food and services are so good. And that’s the thing attracts me more this place.

Always the warmest welcome and best service at the Ruilsip branch, the staff have worked here for ages and know my kids and their orders by heart, the new refurb makes it even better!

Delivery driver was waiting for 30 mins after they said food was ready. If its busy, just don't take the order. Goes without saying 1.5 hour later we received the cold food. Overpriced food for what you do get.

I do not think or can remember ever having a pizza as bad as I did today we had a £360 voucher and when the food arrived, it was dry hardly any topping and was and for ever will be the worst pizza I’ve ever had thank you pizza express for the disappointment, never again think before you buy from this pizza express in Ruislip High Street. Shame on you

Poor service tonight, too many takeaway drivers and their preference was to serve them before seated customers. 50 min wait for starters. Probably wouldn’t visit again and I’ve been going there for many years.

Another excellent meal in the newly refurbished Ruislip branch. Superb food as always. Loved the new comfy leather padded seats. Best of all are the friendly and attentive staff who really make you feel at home. Great atmosphere. Thanks to the whole team.

Excellent customer service - visited around 6 pm on Saturday - the restaurant was fairly busy but we were sited immediately and had our drinks and food very quickly (I would even say unexpectedly quickly). The food was delicious as it always is at Pizza Express.

Ordered 2 Romana American Hot pizzas for delivery today Both were burnt really badly. Literally like black charcoal all the way around the crust, and huge black circle patches across the top where the cheese had turned to carbon I have no idea how pizzas could be sent out like this. They were deeply unpleasant. I've ordered before and never had this issue, so I have no idea what they are playing at
