Pizza Express in Lewisham

This is one of the best pizza express I gave been to. Great friendly team especially our waitress who made our evening. Pizza was very tastie and deserts were excellent.

I have place an order to be delivered, it was faster than what I was expecting ,whoever the pizza was completely cold and soggy. I pretty sure this pizza was not freshly made ,and I have order deliver from the same store before and was worm and nice when I receive it. I do not recommend for delivery as you never know what to expect

Parada un lunes por la noche con un amigo sin reserva y se le dio una mesa - el restaurante estaba bastante ocupado y ruidoso. Los servidores eran muy amables y atentos y la comida era buena. El 4 en lugar de 5 estrellas era para los niños corriendo hacia arriba y hacia abajo - no tal vez la culpa del restaurante, pero uno de los niños pequeños incluso tropezó con el pie estacionario de un amigo debajo de la mesa.

The pizza was smaller than I thought. As the potato side was tiny definitely not worth it

Great service and a fine Pizza Capriciosa

The short, slim dark haired (Italian?) woman who served me yesterday made my experience great she asked me if I wanted to move to a better table and got my pizza out to me really quick I will be back they do promotions aswell which is good

The cuts to divide the pizza into slices were not deep enough so we had to fight to cut the pizza into slices. Unfortunately the restaurant is slightly too far from our house to ensure the pizza was still hot, thin bases do not maintain the heat. the food was delicious, in spite of these irritations.

Not an entirely original pizza experience. Where are the independent outlets in Blackheath???

Got there for a quick snack,(I know it is Friday evening... even if that was a few tables empty they ask for booking, no booking so they give as a table downstairs were was a really bad smell (like worse then toilets smell),so they give as 1 of the empty table up ,order straight away 1 dough balls and a pizza...we did keep mentioning we are rushing we don't want to stay long ; 40 min later 4 tiny dough balls come and when ask for the pizza too ,after another 5 waiting they said that will be another 15 min ...at that point we had to leave ...another 5min wasted for them to get the bill for 2 drinks and the tinys balls i ever seen 😅 ....just don't get why is "express " . .. I get it ,it might be short staff etc but we mentioned clearly a few times we here for a snack and we can't stay long, they could have said the same from the start that a pizza takes up to 1h to come

Lovely place. My daughter got a colouring book and pencil right away. Kids eat free with adult that orders a meal. Food was yummy and well presented. Staff was polite and helpful.

I’ve had a few very good orders but unfortunately today’s pizza was a disappointment. Burnt with some old chicken thrown on top of it. I paid for 2 additional portions of chicken and I’m sure that’s not what I received. On top of that, the pizza arrived cold because the courier didn’t have a thermal bag, just chucked it in his bike box

We were looking for a place to have dinner together with my friends. No disappointment here. Fruit flavored drinks were very good and refreshing, the Calzone I ordered was extremely delicious. Service was also great and professional even though a lot of new customers arrived after us. Keep up the good work! 🙂

Amazing pizza and quick delivery.

Dreadful do not use! They kept the delivery driver waiting for 55 minutes and kept moving the delivery time back. I waited an hour and a half for my order. Eltham much better

Received only the half my order with the entire pizza missing from the order. Just received the dough balls and dips but nothing else.

Previously came to the restaurant and didn’t have a good experience due to one staff member however after speaking to the manager she gracefully understood our disappointment and invited me and my partner back as well as giving us a voucher of our order on the house. I can happily say that we enjoyed our experience this time as we were actually able to dine in, all the staff members were very friendly and attentive. I am very happy that me and my partner decided to give the restaurant another chance as it did not disappoint. Food was 10/10, drinks 10/10 & service 10/10. Thank very much to the blackheath pizza express team. Will definitely come back again.

Not a very aesthetic interior, the tables outside have a specific design that make them hard to clean and dirt gets stuck between it which is just nasty. speed of service was good and our waiter remained attentive and understanding. However, the pasta was hard to chew, had to send it back. The thin pizzas also look and taste like A4 sheets of paper, though my friend did eat this and seemed content with it. The tap water that we asked for also happened to be lukewarm, which as someone working in hospitality i’d assume it’d come with ice especially considering the recent british weathers, so overall 2/5. Won’t be returning.

We chose Pizza Express to celebrate my daughter’s 12th birthday. We were 3 adults and 2 kids - and we had a great time. Food was great and served fast - plus Vicky went out of her way to add candles to my daughter’s desert and sing her Happy Birthday! Will definitely add to our favourite restaurant list.

Silent, hidden gem in Blackheath village. Pizza Express standards are there great food, friendly staff. Very child-friendly, like all Pizza Express restaurant.

Popped in for a quick pizza before heading to the O2 to watch the Killers. Quick friendly service and tasty hot pizza within an hour! Very good.

The Blackheath Pizza Express is one of the best. Full as always, but the staff were easily able to cope. We never felt that we were sitting waiting to be served. Very friendly waitress, and the food was good.

The arancini balls were dry as there was hardly any sauce. The bruschetta looked like it had been dropped as it was such a mess when it arrived.

I order some calamari and A large chicken bbq pizza but the calamari was burn all around the edges and the pizza had what looks like cheese but the poor quality. not even my daughters liked it . sorry it wasn't good enough 😔

I had a memorable birthday pizza making party thanks to the chef assigned to us. The quality of the food and service was much more than what we paid for. Venue was atmospheric, cozy and tidy too! Definitely coming back for more dough balls. Thanks a lot team

Freezing cold pizzas! Delivery driver didn’t come in to deliver it he buzzed the door and waited for me to come down to the entry door to get it without saying anything to me. Shouldn’t have to microwave Mother’s Day lunch

The food took 2 hours to come. The pizza came hard and the bruschetta was soggy. I called the restaurant they said the food had been ready for almost an hour but a driver hadn’t collected it and advised me to contact Just Eat.When I finally got through to Just Eat on the phone they said there was nothing they could do and to try live chatting with someone. Bit disappointed

Sat in this hole for an hor and 10 mins just to eventually receive medioca food and had to wait 25 mins for a drink ridiculous.

I ate here yesterday for lunch .. and let me just tell you. I am obsessed. I come here every single time im hungry (i rarely go to another restaurant because of how good the food is in blackheath pizza express). I gave compliments to the chef (Thomas) whose hands are a work of art ,and the manager (vicky) who welcomed me with such warmth. As well as Ivona the waitress who was also so kind and actually conversed with me with patience rather. I just love love love this place ever so much and will continue to make an appearance! Thank you again!! My go to order is always: pollo forza or the buddha salad bowl (however anything that is cooked by the chef is amazing)

Topping ingredients for mushroom & truffle pizza not as described - no "mixed mushrooms", only ordinary white mushrooms and no taste of rosemary. Very disappointed, especially considering the price of almost £15!

Brilliant for families with young kids. The kids menu is a firm favourite for our little ones and the staff as so accommodating. Zsiga was super helpful during our last visit getting the kids food ready asap and giving me a hand with coats and scooters when it was time to leave! Thank you!

The only decent place in blackheath villlage for a nice family meal out. All the staff there are so friendly. Pity there aren't more places like it in the village.

We celebrated our daughters 16th birthday. The food was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Ivy our host was brilliant and really attentative. The manager was friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend!

Amazing service from Alexander! Couldn’t recommend her any better.

My daughters and I dine there regularly and we always have a lovely time. The menu is familiar and tasty, the crayons and activity menu for the children keep them occupied and entertained while the service is always very friendly. All the waiting staff that we have encountered have been excellent with the kids. We are regularly served by Alexandra who always welcomes us with a warm smile.

First time order and we really enjoyed the pizza. dough balls and chicken wings delicious thank you ...will order again and recommend your restaurant 👍👍

Order didn’t arrive driver didn’t bother to call

Items arrived early but stone cold.

20 minutes after ordering, the delivery time was changed adding another 20 minutes. The delivery driver appeared to have no idea where to deliver to, despite being given specific instructions. The food arrived cold and burnt. It seems Pizza Express have decided to add loads of sugar to their pizza bases or sauce and now it tastes sickly sweet. I don’t think I’ll be ordering from them again.

I ordered first time, it was cancelled after 20 minutes, then I decided to order again just to give a second chance - it didn’t cancel but changed delivery time twice, and pizzas arrived cold. Very, disappointing, will avoid in future.

We had the most brilliant experience at Pizza Express Blackheath this evening, served without booking, on a Friday night by the lovely and attentive Kevin (aka Arthur). The manager was also absolutely lovely. They were incredibly accommodating, especially to my partner, who has coeliacs disease! I felt compelled to leave this review as we were sat next to two very grumpy men, who were happily charging their phone on the Pizza express plugs, complaining about their food costing too much for "what it was" whilst also asking to take it away for later... something didn't smell right. But the food certainly smelt wonderful. We love Kevin!

I had one of the worst experiences in my life here. I was treated by staff as if I was vermin, the staff treated my friend and I differently due to how we were dressed and our age. I brought a coupon with me, in the small print it said that it was strictly for use in the Blackheath branch, however, when I presented the coupon to the waitress she scolded me for bringing the coupon into her restaurant. The saving grace of this awful establishment was the lovely Brummie boy, he made our meals somewhat enjoyable. For anyone that enjoys eating authentic Italian pizza, I strongly suggest you get on the next plane to Naples, as this is something that you can’t find in London.

Had lunch with my granddaughter Lailah in Blackheath Pizza Express yesterday. Food was lovely. Really enjoyed my lasagne. Compliments to the chef. Alexandra was very attentive and looked after us. Very friendly and homely atmosphere.

We had a pizza party at Pizza Express Blackheath this weekend. And it was brilliant! 10 very happy little boys and girls - April did a great job guiding them through making their own pizzas and keeping them entertained:))) pizzas themselves were delicious and the service was fab too - nothing was too much trouble! The pizza was not bad, but the pollo milanese was embarrassingly tiny and badly presented. I have not got this food before so I am wondering if a 50% discount on the sides implies a 50% reduction of the portion as well, because a higher price than the discounted one for what I received would be totally absurd.

I just ordered a pizza from this place when the arrived it was cold undercooked and a huge hair on it 🤮I called the restaurant the managers was extremely rude was not listening to me saying that he can’t to about it never egaen please save your money and eat somewhere eels

Pizzas were not cut, my Padana had hardly any goats cheese at all and was covered in too much sauce. Disappointing - first and last time ordering from this restaurant
