We had our child’s pizza making birthday party at Pizza Express, and it was absolutely wonderful from start to finish! The highlight of the day was April, who managed everything with the kids – she was so energetic, patient, and fun. The children had a blast making their own pizzas, and April kept them engaged and smiling the entire time. The whole experience was well-organized, stress-free for the parents, and full of joy for the little ones. We’re so glad we chose Pizza Express – it was a memorable and special day for everyone. Highly recommend for birthday parties!

Pizza Express never disappoints. The dough is always fresh, the toppings generous, and the flavors perfectly balanced. Whether dining in or taking out, the service is fast and friendly. Their Romana pizzas are a personal favorite – thin, crisp, and loaded with taste. Highly recommend any pizza and the Dough Balls starter!

Always first choice in Blackheath for great quality food, authentic menu and a superb team who care about making the visit the best one yet. Zsiga is fantastic and always goes the extra mile. Sat outside and enjoyed great weather too!

Been visiting this branch for many years. Whilst a couple of times haven’t been great, thankfully the majority of the time we’ve had a great experience. The last visit was spot on. Even though it was very busy when we arrived the team welcomed us and remained friendly and efficient. The pizzas were delicious with a lovely base and generous toppings. My only critique is, the place is starting to feel dated, the mustard coloured walls looks a bit drab. Give it a lick of paint make it a bit more vibrant. Never understood why they got rid of the local artwork.

Ordered the large pizza and was undercooked so more doughy than usual. Also it was cold when the driver was waiting at the restaurant so I can only assume he never had a hot bag also I didn’t see one

So I have been going there for many years, my favourite waiter and friend zysga Is the best person there? He is always on form and totally friendly always had time to talk.

Subpar experience. Waited an hour for delivery of a single standard pizza which should've been less than half. Pizza itself (GF, Ve Padana) was cold, flavourless and really quite bad overall. Sketchy response when I called the restaurant (staffer seemed to suggest there was no delivery courier at the restaurant in spite of my app saying so. later said theyd "just handed over" my pizza to the rider, and within the same breath "I believe we'll just be handing it over shortly").

Not upto the mark of Pizza express franchise. Bad ambience where the employees just kept talking to each other loudly and literally kept banging the crockery and utensils (ie when they were not dropping them)…one of the weirdest restaurant experiences. Food was a bit stale eg for dessert we ordered Tiramisu which was definitely a few days old. Overall, a bad experience.

We had a lovely evening at Pizza Express Blackheath on Monday, 28 April. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service truly stood out. I want to give a special mention to Eva and Iwonce, who were absolutely fantastic throughout the evening. They were both friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. The food was delicious, as always—freshly made and served promptly. It’s always a pleasure dining here, but the excellent customer service from Eva really made this visit memorable. Thank you both for your wonderful hospitality!😊

Very tasty pizza always blodwied, because of friends we have to come and eat it. I highly recommend the fantastic service, the manager comes out to talk to the customer.

This place used to be really really good last year but unfortunately it has gone downhill. The same service staff that used to greet us with a smile now look and sound stressed out. As customers and working with the public ourselves we try our best to understand..but we did have 3 awful experiences. Once the padana i ordered had hardly any goats cheese, once hair was on the pizza. And one time we didnt get a table being told we need to pre book, which is fine but at times people book and dont turn up. It was dissppointing so we went to nandos where we all ate all 3 of us for £30 in total.

We recently celebrated my son's 10th birthday at Pizza Express Blackheath, and I can't say enough good things about our incredible party host, April. From the moment we arrived to the very end of the party, April was upbeat, lovely, fun, and incredibly engaging. She kept the kids entertained, was interactive and clear with all instructions, and made sure every detail was taken care of. April was also extremely approachable, accommodating, and polite throughout. She truly went above and beyond to make the day special. A party host can really make or break the experience—and in our case, April absolutely made it. Her energy and enthusiasm created a joyful atmosphere that our family and my son's friends will always remember. She’s a real gem and such a valuable part of the Blackheath Pizza Express team. Thank you, April, for making the day unforgettable!

I am quite disappointed with my experience at Pizza Express today. The pizza took an entire 60mins to come to us and our server had no idea what was going on. We eat out only once a week and it was very disheartening for us that one of our favourite joints had such poor service. Not to mention, the restaurant was so noisy because of the kitchen set up. Even after the pizza was so late, it was not even hot :) worst experience ever. I would never visit again.

Tan ruidoso (siempre lo ha sido) , lo que lo ha matado como restaurante son los repartidores de casco oscuro enmascarados que constantemente entran y salen a la deriva y se quedan junto a la puerta. Eso lo hace estresante para todos. (Lo siento por estos chicos, quería sentarlos, se quita los cascos y ofrecerles bebida, pizza, contacto humano y conversación). No comas aquí... . no es un restaurante... . ¡recibe una entrega a domicilio!

Someone drew a beautiful cat on my pizza box which was weird as it is in fact my cats birthday and I have five cats!!!!!!!! However. My pizza was cold again third time in a row. Cos they are so busy ofc but still not cool. 😁

I didn't receive my order for more than 2 hrs and then suddenly displaying order delivered. Such a shameful service.

Booked with pizza express Blackheath last Sunday to celebrate my daughter’s birthday as a group. Staff are very friendly and helpful especially April who served the children. So energetic and enthusiastic and very good with the kids. Branch manager simon is also attentive and check on us for time to time. Would highly recommend if you want to your kids to have a unforgettable pizza making activity with this branch.

Thanks to the fantastic staff who served me and my partner for valentines today. Food was fantastic and god bless the chefs and staff who were swept off their feet. As a former chef I have to sympathise. But there is one thing which is very important to point out. When you search up Pizza Express Blackheath, on their website it says it’s wheelchair friendly. That information needs updating as it’s not true. When you arrive there is a step to get into the restaurant. The entrance is so tight even my partner struggled to get me in. The way the doors are aligned are not suitable and the step is NOT suitable for wheelchair users. And to add insult to injury, the “disabled toilet” was up a step and not even big enough for a wheelchair. If I wasn’t an ambulant wheelchair user I’d be screwed. So if you are in a wheelchair, this restaurant is NOT wheelchair accessible. Please change that on the website. Otherwise food is yummy!

Our waitress Madison was really kind and patient as we sorted out the bill ! Food never disappoints but took a while to come (keeping in mind they weren’t that busy) :)

I loved that they let us book a downstairs table so we could have more seclusion and privacy as a big group! The waiter was really nice her name was Maddison and was completely happy and tolerant of us each paying separately. The service was a bit slow and sauce on non gluten free pasta was quite dry but overall it was a good experience!

Very good pizza and caprese salad. I tried the gluten free macaroni cheese and it was excellent.

The delivery guy was lovely. The pizza was hot and tasty and really good value, the sauce isn't crammed with sugar. The meatball pizza was excellent recommend it and I'm not a huge fan of pizza really! Thanks!

This is one of the best pizza express I gave been to. Great friendly team especially our waitress who made our evening. Pizza was very tastie and deserts were excellent.

I have place an order to be delivered, it was faster than what I was expecting ,whoever the pizza was completely cold and soggy. I pretty sure this pizza was not freshly made ,and I have order deliver from the same store before and was worm and nice when I receive it. I do not recommend for delivery as you never know what to expect

Parada un lunes por la noche con un amigo sin reserva y se le dio una mesa - el restaurante estaba bastante ocupado y ruidoso. Los servidores eran muy amables y atentos y la comida era buena. El 4 en lugar de 5 estrellas era para los niños corriendo hacia arriba y hacia abajo - no tal vez la culpa del restaurante, pero uno de los niños pequeños incluso tropezó con el pie estacionario de un amigo debajo de la mesa.

The short, slim dark haired (Italian?) woman who served me yesterday made my experience great she asked me if I wanted to move to a better table and got my pizza out to me really quick I will be back they do promotions aswell which is good

The cuts to divide the pizza into slices were not deep enough so we had to fight to cut the pizza into slices. Unfortunately the restaurant is slightly too far from our house to ensure the pizza was still hot, thin bases do not maintain the heat. the food was delicious, in spite of these irritations.

Got there for a quick snack,(I know it is Friday evening... even if that was a few tables empty they ask for booking, no booking so they give as a table downstairs were was a really bad smell (like worse then toilets smell),so they give as 1 of the empty table up ,order straight away 1 dough balls and a pizza...we did keep mentioning we are rushing we don't want to stay long ; 40 min later 4 tiny dough balls come and when ask for the pizza too ,after another 5 waiting they said that will be another 15 min ...at that point we had to leave ...another 5min wasted for them to get the bill for 2 drinks and the tinys balls i ever seen 😅 ....just don't get why is "express " . .. I get it ,it might be short staff etc but we mentioned clearly a few times we here for a snack and we can't stay long, they could have said the same from the start that a pizza takes up to 1h to come

Lovely place. My daughter got a colouring book and pencil right away. Kids eat free with adult that orders a meal. Food was yummy and well presented. Staff was polite and helpful.

I’ve had a few very good orders but unfortunately today’s pizza was a disappointment. Burnt with some old chicken thrown on top of it. I paid for 2 additional portions of chicken and I’m sure that’s not what I received. On top of that, the pizza arrived cold because the courier didn’t have a thermal bag, just chucked it in his bike box

We were looking for a place to have dinner together with my friends. No disappointment here. Fruit flavored drinks were very good and refreshing, the Calzone I ordered was extremely delicious. Service was also great and professional even though a lot of new customers arrived after us. Keep up the good work! 🙂

Amazing pizza and quick delivery.

Dreadful do not use! They kept the delivery driver waiting for 55 minutes and kept moving the delivery time back. I waited an hour and a half for my order. Eltham much better

Received only the half my order with the entire pizza missing from the order. Just received the dough balls and dips but nothing else.

Previously came to the restaurant and didn’t have a good experience due to one staff member however after speaking to the manager she gracefully understood our disappointment and invited me and my partner back as well as giving us a voucher of our order on the house. I can happily say that we enjoyed our experience this time as we were actually able to dine in, all the staff members were very friendly and attentive. I am very happy that me and my partner decided to give the restaurant another chance as it did not disappoint. Food was 10/10, drinks 10/10 & service 10/10. Thank very much to the blackheath pizza express team. Will definitely come back again.

Not a very aesthetic interior, the tables outside have a specific design that make them hard to clean and dirt gets stuck between it which is just nasty. speed of service was good and our waiter remained attentive and understanding. However, the pasta was hard to chew, had to send it back. The thin pizzas also look and taste like A4 sheets of paper, though my friend did eat this and seemed content with it. The tap water that we asked for also happened to be lukewarm, which as someone working in hospitality i’d assume it’d come with ice especially considering the recent british weathers, so overall 2/5. Won’t be returning.

We chose Pizza Express to celebrate my daughter’s 12th birthday. We were 3 adults and 2 kids - and we had a great time. Food was great and served fast - plus Vicky went out of her way to add candles to my daughter’s desert and sing her Happy Birthday! Will definitely add to our favourite restaurant list.

Silent, hidden gem in Blackheath village. Pizza Express standards are there great food, friendly staff. Very child-friendly, like all Pizza Express restaurant.

The Blackheath Pizza Express is one of the best. Full as always, but the staff were easily able to cope. We never felt that we were sitting waiting to be served. Very friendly waitress, and the food was good.

I order some calamari and A large chicken bbq pizza but the calamari was burn all around the edges and the pizza had what looks like cheese but the poor quality. not even my daughters liked it . sorry it wasn't good enough 😔

Freezing cold pizzas! Delivery driver didn’t come in to deliver it he buzzed the door and waited for me to come down to the entry door to get it without saying anything to me. Shouldn’t have to microwave Mother’s Day lunch
