My first time at a Pizza Express and I was surprised and impressed with the food.

I had a wonderful time. Friendly staff and quality food. We loved it.

Had not been in here for a long time. Pizza’s have moved on, however Pizza Express maybe stuck in the slow lane. After paying over £90 for soft Frank’s and four pizzas, I would not expect slow delivery of food, greasy pizzas and toppings playing hide and seek!

Honestly, don't bother being inconvenience in this Pizza express outlet. No manners or customer service. Asked for quiet table on upper platform but water referring us to "policy" that we can't seating there, then got annoyed as how dare we asked to seating where we wanted. Being ignored eventually lady come and served us, she was lovely. Pizza??? What pizza? Was mediocre with couple of peppers, onions and hardly any meat. Never again.....all that "pleasure" cost 31.00. Don't bother.

It would have been better if the pizza was cut properly. Cutting thin pizza in cardboard box is difficult.

When we arrived the bald headed waiter/ manager took us to a table. Did not say Hello or Good Afternoon but launched into his spiel about free cookie dough if you scanned a QR code. Made no eye contact at all as I said no thanks. Walked away and stayed away from us. The pizza was ok but the strange chips were disgusting. Here is a tip just serve proper chips. It was a bad dining experience as the bald headed person lacked basic customer service skills. Avoid at all costs

Time on delivery kept changing then to top it off the pizza and mushroom arancini were freezing cold, total waste of money

I won’t give 1 star as I like pizza express (other branches). Went today for a date with wife after cinema. Been seated next to the noisy kitchen corridor even although there was plenty other more intimate tables free. Asked to relocate but the manager said is isn’t possible. Anyway… patiently waited for service. Nobody bothered to come and serve us so we decided to go to Wagamama across the street where the service is always great. If you can - avoid.

Worst value pizza I have had in a long time. Very small portions, small amount of pepperoni on a double pepperoni and look for the chicken and bacon on the other pizza. Won’t order again

Ordered pizza via the app for collection lovely warm welcome and I'd Ordered vegan garlic butter by mistake which I didn't realise and the member of staff pointed it out and changed it for real garlic butter, The burnt end pizza was amazing!!!!!

I had been treat like rubbish. several times asked waiter women when food comming, she said no wish my visits in restaurant. The same they treats delivery drivers. What is this? Pernament discrimination.

This visit was for our anniversary dinner, and as usual the staff, the service and the food didn't let us down. It was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday evening, but it was at 19:00, so hopfully it got busier.

Booked as they usually turn you away otherwise even when empty. They had run out of salad dressing for starters/main. Had also ran out of eggs for Nicoise salad. They offered extra tuna/anchovies instead but that didn't materialise and was mostly bunch of leaves. Garlic doughballs were pretty much cold. Left hungry and totally underwhelmed. Only used because we had some clubcard vouchers but won't be back

The order was incomplete despite me checking with the restaurant in advance. Apparently the order left complete but the Just Eat driver did not deliver it all (had happened several times that night to that restaurant alone). Despite me contacting immediately no attempt was made to send me my correct order by Just Eat or the restaurant. One of the pizzas was completely uncooked and the rest were cold. Despite contacting Just Eat immediately the issue has not been resolved.

My daughter was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease a couple of months back and we haven’t eaten out with her since. Pizza Express is GF accredited by Coeliac UK and we couldn’t have been in better hands. We let the staff know that she was Coeliac and they reassured us that her meal would be prepared separately and brought out to us when it was ready. She also has a peanut allergy and our server checked the ingredients and brought a picture of the packaging to us to reassure us. It’s so refreshing being able to go out for dinner as a family and not to have to worry about being Glutened. Thank you 🤩

Order picked up from restaurant and then taken 10 mins opposite direction from my house! So order was look warm at best. Shambles

Good place to have a meal. Very good variety to choose from. Very reasonable.

We asked for a table for 2. The waiter said she needed to check if there was enough cheese as they needed to keep some back for diners that had booked. Yes, there was some spare cheese at 6.30pm. We were in! We ordered two Romana pizzas. After a short while another waiter told us there would be a delay as our pizzas were both burned. We were soon presented with 2 new very undercooked, doughy, floppy 'pizzas' that were completely inedible. These were sent back. At this point we gave up. They did let us off paying for our 2 bottles of Peroni we left unfinished. Pizza Express has always been a consistently good pizza chain. Not this one though! A so-called pizza restaraunt that cannot make pizza. This is not Italian cuisine. Surely the staff have a process to follow? Pizza Express founder Peter James Boizot will be turning in his grave. The bondholders that own this chain should cash in their chips.

Had a calzone junda from here, looked nice on plate all puffed up but when I put my knife in to it, it collapsed , very little filling in it and won't be back there.

Food good but missing items and 2.5 hours of a wait!!!

We had an amazing meal , our waitress was Timmy and she was super friendly and bubbly woman and works hard ! great service !!!!

Nothing funnier than watching a grown man cut a pizza on a plate too small for the pizza. Also there was a valentine’s day stand up on the 3rd of march. Must get annoying moving that every night when you have to clean the floor. If they miss that what else are they missing.

Pizzas were cold, had to reheat in oven. Disappointing.

"Collect at 17.23" said the sticker on the food. Delivered almost exactly FORTY minutes later, wet and fairly cold, unsurprisingly. Not good enough. Re-heated for 10mins in the oven, then was a bit dry, but ok. Disappointed.

Ordered accepted at 17:05 was ready to collect at 17:20 and finally got delivered at 19:23 after a number of phone. Food arrived late cold and looks like it had been chucked about in the box. All toppings were off and only had a base of the pizza.

The pizza was delivered early which was fine but it was cold! It tasted okay apart from that. Difficult to understand it arriving early but being cold.

For the third time arrived at branch to be told we could not eat because bookings only despite being almost empty. Every time some unconvincing reason is given. This time something to do with the plumbing. Quite what that has to do with booking I don’t know!

Great staffs, restaunt is clean. Food was tasty.

We had a lovely meal here the staff were excellent. I'm gluten free and this was catered for without any fuss. Will be going here regularly.

The pizza was fine, albeit a little bit cold by the time it arrived. However at £20 for one single pizza delivered, it was not good value and I would not pay this again without a sizeable discount, as it does not represent value for money whatsoever.

In ordered the pollo pesto. The portion size that came out for £15 was ridiculously small, which I challenged. The lady that took my complaint was lovely and kindly bolstered my meal with some free dough balls. Fantastic. I later, and much into my pasta realised that the chef actually hadn’t put any chicken in my dish. This was most likely a contributor to why my dish was so small. In all my experience was ruined, because I ordered a chicken pasta dish but in essence received a vegetarian one, with most of the food I consumed being dough.

Just had lunch in pizza express Livingston, food was lovely and we had outstanding service from Abbie. She was so helpful and welcoming will definitely be back

Great gluten free Romano pizza's for both myself and my good lady. WS pretty busy but staff did their absolute best to keep the service snappy. Reasonably priced and convenient.

I will never order again, totally ruined our date night as the pizzas we have ordered arrived tataly burned!

Absolutely disgusting. Pizza was stone cold. As in wasn't even a tiny bit warm. It was as if they had kept it outside waiting on the driver. Couldn't heat it as I don't have a working oven, and the microwave just made it soggy. Not even worth the box it was in. Horrible.

Excellent food and service, as usual. The chap (who we assume is the Manager) is always super-friendly and obliging. We arrived early for our booking looking to eat earlier. The restaurant was very busy but we were seated immediately, ordered quickly and our food (delicious) arrived fast! We were using vouchers to part pay our bill and again, the Manager was very helpful in helping me sort through them. Our waitress was friendly and efficient too. Very happy with our visit.

Food of usual Pizza Express standard and pleasant waitress. Only downside was the restaurant was a little cold - could do with turning up the temperature a few degrees. Interestingly the chap who was dining alone at the next table spent his whole meal complaining to the staff about various things - most of which was just being a professional moaner! Staff handled him well.

My food was 2 hours late I phoned up pizza express no driver turned up my food was waiting they had to make it again, will not be using just eat ever again.

Food felt rushed doballs were hard pizza was cold the only hot thing was the garlic bread they forgot some items also and you phone up they blame just eat ...I wouldn't recommend.

Had an impromptu dinner before our film and couldn’t fault the whole dining experience! The staff are friendly and attentive. Although a couple additions to our meals were missed they were rectified very quickly, even the chef brought out a dish once redone and apologised in person. It’s the little things that make a huge difference! We were offered complimentary coffees which we politely declined then before we left they came and gave us chocolate fudge cake to take away which they didn’t have to do but we were pleasantly surprised they did :) Food was delicious, wine went down well and getting more water with out having to ask, again the little things :) Thank you

In for lunch on Bank Holiday Monday. No lunch menu on offer. Service slow and pizza x 3 average. Probably won't be back and wouldn't recommend.

My husband and I visited your restaurant for a quick lunch and ordered two pizzas. We also ordered a portion of coleslaw, which when it arrived was the equivalent of two soup spoons of product and was charged at £5.50 !!!! This is such a con. It could not have cost anything more than 25p to make. Absolutely shocking … come on Pizza Express!!!

Very hard to find a better pizzeria, especially with options for gluten free. On this occasion the staff were very helpful even though they were clearly under staffed.

Ate alone at 7pm on a Friday, server was friendly, helpful, food came quickly and was good.

It was one of the worse experience i have ever had, staff very rude. I ordered a garlic bread separately as a starter to have it before my pizza got ready, but i faced with the pizza and not a starter, and they never told us what happened until we asked for it, and when i said what happened with the garlic bread they told us we lost the check and now it is in the oven, not even an apologies! nothing!!

Popped in for dinner as we had been shopping. We were greeted by friendly staff. Food and service were very good.

Ordered the kids pizza deal and juice carton was forgotten about :( apart from that it was good.

The overall ambiance of the restaurant was nice and welcoming. :( However, When entering the restaurant there was no one to greet us and three people walked by without even saying hello. Finally someone came to seat us but it seemed to be beneath them to do so. About five minutes later our order was taken and the drinks delivered. About 20 minutes later our food arrived. The food (pizza) looked nice on the surface but once eaten we found the dough was very soft and the tase well lets just say uck!! The overall service form the staff was poor not just for us but we noticed others were getting a bit irritated as well. The Pizza Expresses we have visited in the past have always been great and we hope this one steps up as well.

My partner and I popped in here before seeing a film to book for after the film. The girl who took our reservation didn't put it in any book and had to be prompted to take our name. This was a sign of things to come. When we arrived we ordered drinks and I given the wrong wine. We also had to ask for a jug of water twice. My partners garlic bread was really small for the cost. For two starters, two pizza's and two alcoholic beverages, it was £60. It simply wasn't worth it. Pizza Express used to be such amazing value. Even without the other factors described, it just isn't good value for money anymore.

Quality of the food is usually good from Pizza express and why my go to for pizza . Occasionally they couldn't care and blame just eat and don't bother to answer when they know they have sent out burnt products . Shame when it gets taken back into store in front of other customers to see .

Had booked a table for 2.30 When we arrived we were put in the corner in the darkness & not given any menus The server walked away & never came back We sat for 10 mins then left as no one had even been to ask us for our drinks order The couple sitting next to us seemed to have been forgotten about aswell so we just walked out The service & staff used to be friendly & be happy to help but this appears to now not be the case We will not be back Ended up going to Wetherspoons and had a good evening

The best pizza I have ever had! Can't wait till the weekend to order again!

Put in a corner that server couldn’t actually get to side of table and had to lean over us to get to serve food. Garlic mushrooms were as cold as the feta that was on the plate, not that server would know….. next we saw anyone was when pizzas arrived and starter plates were still lying on table. Never had anyone ask of food was ok, did we want another drink etc. servers too busy standing talking to one another for that…. Finished eating meal, stacked plates on table so it was clear we were done (pizza was lovely) and after 15 minutes eventually had someone come and clear the plates. Shocking level of service.

My fiancée and I had a pizza and starter here a while ago and we’re served by the Turkish chap I think his name was Mehmet . We were chatting away. He was so kind and it was his customer service that was amazing . Very rarely do you meet someone so genuine. He is a credit to the company ! 5 star guy.

Was in here over the bank holiday was over 2hrs from starter to main course . Myself and daughter were behind in eating as they bought out the food for my wife and oldest daughter. We were told that the chef forgot to put on the double spaghetti. Only got told when we were still eating over 30 minutes after the first meals arrived. So much of a family eating together . Been 3 times before was good bit on the last experience won’t be back

Young lady taking our order very nice and talkative however my pizza was quite disappointing a bit dry and could have had a bit more cheese on I always have the same pizza when I go but have to say this was not the usual std.

Great experience here whilst also trying to entertain 3 kids under the age of 10. They offer a brilliant deal for kids which is 3 courses and a drink for just under £8 which is brilliant in these days when everything seems to be going up and up. Waiters were fantastic from the minute we walked in and as we were dining with a child who has food allergies, took every care to ensure they had the right food and that everything was kept separate. Everyone loved their food (big kids included) and would highly recommend to others.

Lunchtime as a family. Very hard working staff providing an excellent restaurant experience. With the pizza express app very reasonable pricing. Always empty plates at the end of the meal from young to old.

We had our daughters 8th birthday here and can’t fault it at all. The service, the food the experience for all the girls was amazing. The staff were amazing with the children and the all loved the dough balls, pizza and ice cream. Thanks a million.
