Pizza Express in Warwick

I went to dinner with some friends we had a fabulous time got servers by Paola great food !

Paola gave us a great servicio, really enjoy our time in the restaurant

fancied a pizza on a miserable day in warwick, pizza express was on the high street and we have a voucher so it had to be. very quiet but food and service was good. try to sit around the corner by the window, great view.

Went out for a birthday meal, very good service and delicious 😋 food.

Glad we went in ! Got there and it looked shut and very unwelcoming, as it was dark and the pizza area had large protective plastic bags up. However our waitress was lovely and the food good.

I was there with my family and the food was fantastic. I would also like to thank Virginia who, apart from treating us sensationally well, showed us the best view of the castle and advised us on how to spend the day.

We have eaten with you many times before, however it is important to tell you that our server/waitress Sophie made it one of our best visits ever Thank you Sophie good luck with your house move., Mike, Suzy, Carolyn, Phillip, Julie and Peter.

We were travelling back to London from Manchester and decided to get off the M40 and go out of our way to get pizza express. We checked the website before exiting and saw it closed at 10pm (we were going to arrive there at 9:20). When we arrived the lady at the counter told us they had shut because it was very quiet, 40 minutes early. Luckily there was a Lebanese place just down the road who was equally as quiet and closed at 10 as well, they happily seated us and we thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend to anyone in the area.

Paola and Sophie were excellent! very attentive staff and amazing food all delivered really quickly.

We had a lovely meal at pizza express yesterday. We were a large party of 14 with numerous children. We had to wait awhile for our drinks and needed to chase them a couple of times. Our server was I believe a girl named Gemma. She was fantastic, handled our large party well and interacted well with our children. They had a good selection of gluten free and dairy free options available

Terrible service, disgusting toilets, food took so long to come we had to take it out in a box, as we would have been late for our visit that was booked. We allowed plenty of time, but it didn’t work due to everything taking so long.

We had dinner on Sunday as we had tickets for a show. We booked early so we had 2 hours to eat which I thought would be plenty. It took an hour and 15 minutes to bring our drinks and starters. That was only after I complained. The food was good but we had to rush eating it. The waitress mentioned we got free dough balls if you downloaded the app which we did but then as we had a voucher for the dinner we ended up having to pay for dough balls we didn't want. We were sat right by the kitchen and it was so noisy and really was very unpleasant especially while waiting for so long. The waitress brought the bill at the end and had overcharged us on the bill. The whole experience was rubbish to be honest. We were stressed about missing the start of our show but by the time we'd realised the issue we were worried we wouldn't get anywhere else either. If there's a long wait for food, staff should let you know on arrival. I don't think there's any excuse for waiting over an hour for drinks.

Dire. We waited 1.5 hours for food. When we complained, our starters and mains were all placed on the table all together, stone cold. They must have been waiting on a counter for a waitress to claim them. We were seated in a small dingy area opposite the chef's kitchen. It was apparent that the chefs were overwhelmed as waitresses had to repeatedly ask where food was. There was a general feeling of chaos. The main problem, I think, was that a large amount of food was being made for delivery; pizza boxes were piled high near the entrance and delivery drivers kept coming in to collect the food. The business needs to concentrate on one thing only - the in-house restaurant OR delivery. I would suggest they find a separate premises for cooking food for delivery. On the positive side, the Nicoise salad was nice (only thing we ordered which didn't need to be hot). The staff and manager were all pleasant. The manager did offer us a discount.

We booked via the app and when we arrived at 5.45pm the restaurant looked fairly quiet. The staff were friendly and our order taken quickly. I was with my 6yr old son and husband and we went to Pizza Express for its kids menu and quick service.. Our dough balls took 35mins to arrive!! And when they did they were cold. We didn't complain because we were hungry our mains took just short of an hour for 3 pizzas. The lady did say sorry, but this isn't good enough, and we were disappointed and fed up. The mains were piping hot and actually delicious! Shame it took so so long. The restaurant inside is lovely with high ceilings. Toilets need a lick of pain. There is graffiti on the back of the cubicles. We asked for our bill, and they hadn't deducted the kids' meals as kids eat for free, so we had to wait for this to be done. Pizza Express we are disappointed!!

Tried to have a meal 3 times at this restaurant since moving to Warwick. Despite the restaurant being empty we have been refused everytime, very strange. Thankfully got in at the Dough and Brew despite the restaurant being packed, amazing pizza. Pizza Express never refuse a pregnant women food!!

Went in at 5.40pm. Restaurant empty. Refused entry due to being too busy. 5th time this has happened in Warwick over 7 years

We been at pizza express in Warwick for my auntie’s birthday and everything was great from the service to the food the waitresses were looking after us making sure everything was good.

Had my mum’s bday meal there and everything was amazing, friendly staff and really good service. The manager lovely lady and very helpful. Highly recommended.

This is a very nice little place for good pizza. The dough balls are a classic that just can't be beat, and the pizzas are very nice as well. Paying on the app was quite a mess, though, because it didn't work at first. The server was very nice, and she even offered to charge one of my friends' phone!

Erika was very good,excellent service and great food. We were visiting the castle at Warwick and flew by very hungry! The restaurant was reasonably busy, but this did not affect service

Literally been sat here for 90 minutes waiting for a pizza, it's not even busy, no communication from staff, noone asking if we want extra drinks or apologizing for the wait. We came here after the Leamington pizza Express's oven had broken so we couldn't eat there. I will not be coming back to a pizza express ever. Extremely unhappy.

Overpriced and a £30 service charge was ridiculous

Arrived before our booking, not busy and were sat down nice and quickly. Took our order for starts mains and drinks. Drinks came but forgot the jug of water. Starters came after about 20 mins, for just dough balls longer than you would have expected. Plates were cleared relatively quickly after we had finished, no offer of extra drinks, and still no water. Another 30 mins passed and still no mains, the restaurant is filling up however 2 tables that ordered after us had received their mains. Asked about our water and mains, which we were told “are coming soon” no apology for the delay, water arrived, tepid from the tap - no ice, and no glasses. We had no time for dessert as car park was running out, so we asked for the bill. The guy asked if we were paying by card, we were and brought the card machine over, automatically assumed one person was paying, looked surprised when I said we were splitting the bill. He then halved the bill, and was surprised when I said that £25 was to go on one card and the balance on another. Not happy being in the restaurant for 2 hours and getting drinks, dough balls and 2 x pizzas and 2x pasta dishes. The customer service was way below what we had experienced at this and other pizza express restaurants. Won’t be rushing back.

It was quite good restro like countryside. Staff were welcoming and expressive. Food tadte was good and tasty 😋

I recently visited Pizza Express and had a fantastic dining experience, thanks to the exceptional service provided by Amuktha. Her warm and friendly nature made our visit truly memorable. She was attentive, courteous, and went out of her way to ensure that we had everything we needed. It's not often you encounter such dedication and genuine hospitality. Brilliant. A slightly slow start but once our drinks arrived it was a fantastic night. Our server, Sunny, was really attentive and helpfully throughout the whole process. We downloaded the app (which is great) and used it for our order. After paying, Sunny took the time to chat with us and made us feel really welcome.

The food was good but the service was awful. They forgot one of our orders, so ended up giving us a discount but we left early before desserts because after the main eventually came no one came to clear our plates. Both servers were sorting out the takeaway orders so obviously they must be priority.

A very clean and organised restaurant, the employees are very friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and the prices are affordable, there is a great variety on the menu.

A good experience if your goal is to eat pizza in a good and pleasant place. The service is very good and the food is very good.

Nice vegan pizzas but overpriced. Please introduce vegan arancini to the menu, as well as vegan versions of the desserts.

We didn’t have a reservation but they manage to find a nice table for our big group. The service was excellent, polite and helpful at all times. Our kids had a great time as well and enjoyed the food a lot. Special thanks to Virginia and Sun.

Very friendly staff! And the food was delicious. We started with dough balls that are amazing. My wife had the Bosch salad and Padana pizza - both were great.

We came here by chance and it was the most lovely Pizza Express we have eaten at. Service was lovely,polite and professional. The food was delicious and the setting of this restaurant is so beautiful.

One of the best Pizza Express restaurants I have ever visited. The food was up to their usual high standards, the staff were friendly and welcoming, however the pièce de résistance was the restaurant itself, located in a beautiful medieval building full of character.

We showed up with 35 people in a football tour from States. Virginia was so accommodating we couldn’t have asked for better services. The food was delicious they were absolutely amazing. We would highly recommend this place. The town around the castle is very cute.

We had a great evening the waiter did a brilliant job matching meals to the 25 of us, including children who really didn't have a clue. Virginia the host welcomed us and was most patient with us as we divided up the bill. All in all we were really pleased we chose this place.

We had a few dietary requirements and a seating request and all were met with absolutely no problems. The man who I can assume was the manager was extremely polite and kind to us, he made sure all our requests were met. The young girl who served us was also fab! Food was brilliant as always. We all really enjoyed our meals. Thank you.

Calling this pizza would be a huge gift to the business. Cold, no toppings, no cheese or tomato sauce, garlic butter was literally a cup with solid butter in it. Do NOT order, you're better off at papa johns.

Fab atmosphere in the old part of this restaurant, the service was excellent and the food up to scratch.

Thursday of half term was a popular night in this pleasant half-timbered old building in the centre of Warwick. The staff were very friendly and were able to accommodate both my desire to have a pizza napolitana and my dairy allergic and fussy seven year old daughter's restricted tastes.

Pizza Express’s are always a safe bet with a well known menu and easy kid-friendly options, however when we arrived on Sunday evening for dinner the abrupt waiting staff said they had a large party in, were already struggling to manage the numbers and had run out of dough!! The place seemed dead so maybe the party were in a private room, however the manner of the staff (not the chefs, who had to call the waiting staff over to speak to us) left a lot to be desired. Shame as the building is supposed to be beautiful and it would have been nice to experience it.

They were brilliant accommodating 20 people at very short notice!! Fab manager and staff!!!

We have just visited pizza express in Warwick with two boys aged 8 and 9, one vegetarian and one vegan, there was something for everyone, adults and kids alike were satisfied and all plates were empty. While the food was fine, I would return mostly for the lovely building and the even lovelier Lauren who was very pleasant, attentive and professional, despite not having much help on a busy Saturday afternoon. Well Done, thank you Lauren.

Been to a few Pizza Express venues, but none that look as good as this one. As usual, the food and the service were great.

I loved their service, great place to eat a good pizza and have a great time. Get a tablet inside for a lovely experience as it is a listed building. Virginia will make you feel at home.

Very nice experience! I love the historic building. The host told us that it was originally 2 different buildings and they got merged. I would recommend it if you’re visiting Warwick as it is the cherry of the cake for listed buildings. Food good as always! If you speak Spanish (or you want to practice) speak to Virginia. She’s a very kind lady and the host of this hidden gem in Warwick.

I like the ambience very much. The staff was very polite and the service was perfect.

We'd been out all day and didn't fancy cooking so popped into Pizza Express. I've been visiting this branch for almost 30 years, and never had a bad meal. It was very hot today, so I was happy to settle for a chicken caesar salad. A good range of seating.

The waiter was good and nice. Get the free balls by downloading the app.Fanta was nice but spills very easily, and straw gets very wet when in glass. Toilets were a bit smelly and dirty but except that they were ok. The pizza had cheese on it, which the menue did not specify. The pizza wheel, I feel, was a bit too sharp. Overall, mid.

Extremely slow service on a quiet evening was disappointing (2 hours between sitting down and our food coming), but the food is overall of a pretty good quality and the staff are friendly.

Haven't visited Warwick PE since the day prior to the pandemic shutdown and I now live 115 miles away, we were visiting family hence the visit. Nice to see some staff still working there from last time which is quite impressive in an industry with a huge turnover of the workforce. Food was great and nice to see many new items as well as the classics I enjoy

Very highly recommended! Update on 7th July 2023. Our son and his friend's enjoyed a lovely, end of school year, lunch here. Lovely food, great service and a very nice ambience. We initially booked for 8 but more friend's joined us throughout the afternoon. The staff were very accommodating and kept the food/drinks flowing. A lovely time had by all. Thank you, it's all highly appreciated.

Pizza was okay I'm just so disappointed in the mushrooms starter basically used your pizza toppings and added garlic and charged £7 robbery

We went here for a kids pizza making party today and it was amazing! The staff were friendly, attentive and great with the kids. The food was delicious and all the kids loved it! The guys who were teaching the kids how to make the pizzas were great and really made the experience. Would highly recommend it!
