Excellent calamari starter followed by delicious tagliatelle bolognaise. Nice wine to accompany the food. Service very friendly and efficient. Going back very soon.

The interior of the Comodor in Byfleet village, leaves a lot to be desired rather dark and dingy. The service is pleasant. There is an extensive menu. Main courses are fine but the starters are very expensive vastly overpriced. Not sure we would return here

We celebrated an 18th birthday with family here and everybody enjoyed their meals. The dough balls deserve a special mention...they are delicious! The staff couldn't have been any nicer, letting us pop in early to add some decorations to the table and they also happily allowed us to bring our own cake. The price was very reasonable for a party of 12. We will definitely be visiting again.

The Comodor which is in Oyster Lane is a restaurant the is rather dated and tired< it has little character and lacks any atmosphere. The food is fine but we thought the starters were expensive, Excellent service. I understand there is live music here sometimes at the weekend.

I ate here recently with my partner. The food is very ordinary with small portions. Avoid the cocktails unless you like your cocktails served like you'd get in a Yates' Wine Lodge, truly awful.

Good atmosphere, busy restaurant with great live entertainment which was a great touch. He played some great tunes. The food was fine; but not fine dining but perfectly good. The starters were lovely and our group ahead a mix of crab claws, whitebait, chicken wings and dough balls. The mains felt disappointing - the paella was bland, not a proper paella but an imitation - plate of long grain rice with small amount of chicken, 3 muscles and frozen small prawns; edible but not lacked flavour. Others mains looked nice enough and were tasty apparently. Desserts are bought in, home made would gave made such a difference. Overall we had a pleasant evening but not blown away by the food.

A good choice on the menu. I have dined here previously before the lockdown and since then the starter prices have increased considerably and are no longer excellent value. The food is served hot and is tasty. Very pleasant service. Ensure you dine in the main restaurant area and not in the front area as it gets very cold in the winter months, we will visit again .

Delivered spot on time to our Hilton Hotel. Excellent sea bass, perfectly cooked, along with a delicious Pasta. Good quality house wine.

Arrived in good time food was ok but the portions where very small. I have eaten in this restaurant and the pizza was 1/3 the size you get in the restaurant it was only 20cm the delivery boxes were small the calzones were smaller to. Disappointing.

Ordered a delivery on easter sunday evening and was received spot on time. Everything was cooked perfectly especially the lasagne and spaghetti bolognese. Well done Pizza Comodor and we will visit you again when allowed.

Food was delicious - between the family we had a mix of starters and mains and everything was amazing! The garlic mushrooms were divine and everything looked and tasted freshly made. Service was great, prices were reasonable and portion sizes were generous. Lots of veggie options to choose from and gluten free pizza bases available too. Would definitely recommend and will be ordering from here again (probably very soon!)

We ordered a lovely takeaway last Thursday. Fantastic service food was hot freshly cooked very tasty and plenty of it. The Pizza's were delicious and the calzone was to die for and the chegga balls went down a treat! We had ordered for four adults and there was more than enough. We have eaten in the restaurant pre-covid and always had a great meal and the takeaway was lovely friendly quick service you won't be disappoint and we will definitely be back! We have all just enjoyed a brilliant evening at the Comodor. The atmosphere was buzzing. The food, Carbonara, Lasagne and Paella was very good as were the varied starters. The service and staff very friendly and helpful. Lets not forget the live music, everyone singing along and dancing. A place to go.

My sister has always suggested this place as it is close to my work, we went there a couple of weeks ago and sad to say we’re disappointed. I thought we would be getting authentic Italian which is the impression you get when you walk in, but all we got was squishy frozen pizza bases and reasonably tasteless food. I can’t fault the service as they were lovely, but sadly the food lets them down. It really is a shame as the decor and atmosphere is positive but the food just doesn’t live up to expectations. I can’t recommend this place for pizza, maybe another dish would be nicer. But I won’t be returning to try them.

I've been coming here with friends for about 12 years and we have always had a great time. However, the last couple of times we have visited, it has been freezing cold inside and we have had to put our coats on. If this was a one off then we would put it down to temporary problems with the heating but it has been the last couple of times and also when other friends have visited. It's such a shame as we had previously had some lovely evenings here and found it excellent value for money. Perhaps we'll return when the heating has been replaced.

Food and service is always excellent. I thoroughly recommend the calamari followed by tagliatelle Bolognese.

For a local restaurant/cafe this is a good value venue. Not a lot of atmostphere but worth a visit. Would not travel miles to get there butgreat if you are local.

Went here with the family for a new years bite to eat , the food was really good with a great taste . We were well looked after by the waitress even though it was busy . We had no trouble parking as there's plenty of room . Really good price for the food you get , can't wait to go back !!! Happy New year see you again ...

Other local Italian restaurants should take a leaf of of the Comedor's book. The food is home cooked and plentiful and the live music makes it a great night out for all ages. It's a bit cheesy but everyone has a great time, so why not...

I'm sorry but everyone who writes a bad review has gone to the wrong restraint. We have come here for years and everytime it has delivered some of the best meals I have ever had. It is simply delicious and I would recommend the pizza.

Whilst it was great middle of the road genres, it was a couple of decibels too high making it a bit difficult to chat whilst eating, so whilst we enjoyed the entertainment, it was equally enjoyable when the singer took a break so we could chat.I think it is a good tea time venue for families, as well as larger parties and couples alike, later on in the evening. All in all, it's been a brilliant find and we will certainly go again - can't understand why I didn't know of it's existence, having lived fairly locally to it for many years!Everything ordered was delicious!.

Went here Saturday night,downside they had a singer in & it was packed. Hence the restaurant was really noise'y. In saying that the the food & service was really good. Would I recommend this restaurant, yes!!

We came her with two friends for an evening meal. There is an extensive menu here, something for everyone. The food is served hot which is great and it is very tasty. Prices are vey reasonable. The service is first rate. It does lack a bit of atmosphere, We understand they do a good Sunday lunch and may try it sometime. It does not open everday at lunch time.

Went here as a family group of 6 adults and 2 small children for lunch yesterday. I don't really know how this place has so many excellent reviews for the food! None of it is authentic and there is no way any of it is cooked from scratch! They have no children's menu which is odd for a supposed Italian restaurant when Italian's are big on family. My bruschetta starter was dripping in grease and my pizza was a frozen base which was so stodgy under the mountain of cheese layered on top to cover up the frozen base I didn't eat much of it. The chicken on my pizza had a very strange yellow tint to the outside as well. Father in law had a burger which looked like it came from Iceland Frozen Foods, when he asked if it was home made the waitress said no! Sister in law had "Roast Chicken" which was not roast chicken, it was a yellow tinted chicken breast which looked drier than the Sahara Desert & the veg were straight out of a freezer bag so guess that's why their roasts are only £6.50. The service started off ok but gradually slowed to an almost grounded halt. Main plates were left on our table for 20 minutes without being cleared and not a single one of the waitresses on duty checked on us to see if the frozen dinners were ok or not. Could be such a lovely restaurant if they maybe reduced the size of the menu and concentrated on being an Italian and maybe taught the more mature waitresses how to smile a little more. Even the front of the place doesn't exactly look appealing with all the blinds closed so no daylight can get in there. Shame really for the size of the place it could be amazing and it wasn't even very busy when we were in there. Try cooking some authentic Italian food instead of serving up stodgy boil in a bag meals. If the father in law wasn't so adamant about going there and hadn't been paying I would have let them know at the time but didn't want to appear rude in front of him. I would not recommend this place to anyone!

I went for a family meal at the Comodor on a Sunday lunchtime. I thought the prices were very reasonable (£6.50 for a Sunday lunch) and we all enjoyed our food. I didn't have a starter but I had the spaghetti carbonara for my main which was very nice and it came with a separate pot of parmesan cheese so you could sprinkle on as much as you liked. I was a bit jealous of the burger and chips my sister had though which looked very tasty and she enjoyed it a lot. For dessert I had the chocolate fudge cake with cream and that was wonderful. It was very quiet in the restaurant (not in people but just generally quiet) and we had a toddler with us so we were probably the noisy table but it felt maybe it was a lacking in atmosphere a bit. Where we were sat was near the door and it was a bit cold, especially when someone came in which happened quite a lot. I'm not a fan of the black and white floor but the walls are interestingly decorated with lots of pictures. I would go again.

Been here a couple of times before and although I do like the food, it's nothing special. I went for the calzone and the Tiramisu both nice but average. There is lots of choice on the menu - Pizza, pasta dishes, steaks etc so there is sure to be something for the whole family. Our visit today was pleasant as always, and the waitresses are friendly. We were seated and served rather quickly which is always a bonus. Bit of a draft coming in every time the door was opened so would advise to try and get a table away from the door on cold days! I would eat here again.

Visited in a group, service was good, food plentiful and hot. A very tasty steak cooked to perfection. Service was with a smile and attentive. Entertainment was fun. All in all a good night. Not fine dining but a great family run restaurant, well worth a try. I would go again.

I had a meal at this restaurant on Friday 4th November! I've been here so many times before and would of definitely of recommended it. However on this day I ordered a rump steak as I usally would i asked for it medium rare and it came out well done and the whole piece of meat was all just fat! I asked the waitress for a new steak and she came back to me and said the chef said 'there is no fat on that it's all meat' when you could clearly see it wasn't! They offered me something else but they refused to give me another steak, so I sat and had nothing while my friends did. At the end of the meal I said I was not going to pay for the steak as I only cut the steak open to try it but I couldn't as it was to fatty to even cut. The waiter said that he'll go and get the chef to sort this out ( the chef is also the manager). When he came out he was rude, aggressive and very unhygienic he was wearing jeans, a dirty white top and trainers ( a chef is meant to be dressed in chef gear for hygiene reasons). He said to me very aggressively that he'd give me £3 pound off but I didn't even eat the steak, I refused his offer as i was very unimpressed with the whole meal. He then brought 'my bit of steak out' all cut up on a different plate and it was definitely not my piece of steak, I continued to argue with him over the steak. He then started to say you have to pay because we need the money , I'm sorry but if you need the money don't be rude and server good bits of meat! The waitress was very blunt the whole time and seemed very up herself. I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone anymore as it is horrible food and horrible staff!

Frozen microwaved food sums this place up! Fine if you just want a few drinks and cheap cocktails but don't eat there, garlic bread was okay everything else was very poor out of the 7 meals we ordered.

We have visited this restaurant a few times and decided to have a family party there. We ordered in advance from the tapas menu as we felt it would be difficult to serve so many people on the day, the food was served in relays and was hot, very tasty and well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful and the children in the group were well catered for.

Just had a Capricciosa pizza for my dinner - wow, it was just fantastic - wish it was a little bit bigger and, not a big deal, the dough was a bit overdone on the edges. Just thinking when i can have it again!

I went here with a group for my wife's birthday and had an amazing time. I've been before and we always have attentive service with great rustic Italian meals. The food is cooked well, especially the steaks! It's not particularly posh and I like that.The staff were happy to serve a birthday cake we brought in which we appreciated.

The title says it all. We always go here for our birthdays. The food is consistently good and the portions are excellent value for money. Went to a place in Weybridge twice the price which wasn't half as good. Looking forward to another visit soon.

Was here Saturday food wasn't anything special but was nice price not bad at all live music was a bit much when trying to eat can't talk much or hear much. We also had a hen do not far from are table which was all fun and games if your drinking and in the mood for a party but if you came to eat wouldn't be much fun at all.

The place is often empty, I now know why . The pizza we ordered seemed as though it 'd been taken out of a box and reheated in the microwave : ugly, greasy and unappetising . The salmon was overcooked with what tasted like a packet sauce dressing . The service was cool and dismissive . The food was of a similar standard to that of a supermarket cafe ,not a choice for an evening meal .

Saturday night is a music night and the one man band is very good! Lively music, plays a good tune on his fiddle! Room to dance if the mood takes you. Mainly a pizza restaurant with a great choice. Other mains too. I can recommend the profiteroles, huge portion with lashings of cream! Can sit outside in the summer opposite village green. Been here several times and food has always been good, service is quick and very friendly! Families welcome.

Visited in the evening. Was impressed with the friendly staff and intimate atmosphere. Pizza was great. My wife had the special comodor chicken which she loved. I will definitely be visiting again and will recommend to others.

Greeted at the door by this tall indian chap with an attitude of a bouncer in a local boozer! In short food "quality" tescos frozen shelf standard and the "service" that goes with it. The pasta over-cooked and the pizza has a very soft base with not so fresh toppings.The staff stand in one corner and only come over to pick up your plate and/or serve drinks.

Friendly and efficient service. Cannot believe what a super plate of food we both had for such a fantastic price. I had Calamari to start and there were 7 pieces plus a small salad garnish of lettuce, onion, olive, corn and tartare sauce. My partner had the king prawns in a tomato sauce. Both were very good portions sizes and both delicious. The calamari was tender. We then both chose pizza for our mains. I had mushroom with oregano and garlic and the taste was great. My partner had the Napoli and he said it was delicious. We had a bottle of South African Chardonnay. Altogether the bill came to just over £30 which is unbelievable. The restaurant was very busy. The decor is a bit stark, but we would certainly go again. it's great that there is such a good local restaurant which serves lovely food at good prices.

This time the amp sound was a bit too loud and grated a bit but have been other times and has been fine. Would recommend to anyone...couples, families or friends.

A lot of the Byfleet locals I spoke with recommended this as perhaps the best eatery in the village. I decided to give it a go, twice. On both occasions the restaurant was not too busy (both times visited mid-week), there seemed to be quite a few people coming in to pickup take away pizzas though. The pizzas were very good and the service was friendly.

We eat here occasionally and always enjoy, the kids love it. You get a good pizza and good pasta. Don't forget this is what they do, so stay with these and you will enjoy.

After being recommended to visit here and receiving a very warm welcome from the staff, we were very unsatisfied when placing our order.The manager refused to swap a couple of ingredients which was included in the price of our pizza and said that we have to pay an additional £1 extra for each of the ingredients even though the fact we asked for a couple of ingredients to removed for original pizza. . I know that it is only a couple of pound extra but found it very dissapointing as u do not get any kind of discout if u remove anything but only to charge extra being any kind of topping. Managers argument that some of the ingrediences are more expensive than others is not good enough answer for me as if I want to order extra ingrediences I have to pay £1 extra regardless which topping it is? We decided not to stay just for the principle of the whole situation and how we were not accommodated for . . This was a shame and feel like the whole matter could of been dealt with in a more proffesional manner.

We have eaten at Pizza Comodor in Byfleet a number of times. The food is very reasonably priced and it always served piping hot. There is good choice on the menu and in most cases our meal was good. The only time we did not enjoy our choice was the seafood paella when there was very little seafood and in the big serving of rice. This was the only blip out of the meals we have eaten here. The service has always been good.. where the restaurant does let itself down is the interior. The walls are painted a dark colour, There is not much natural light and quite honestly it could do with a complete refurbishment with a different table layout to price it right up to scratch. We prefer to go on the nights when there is no live entertainment which is OK bit nothing more. A midweek evening visit is the best and despite our comments we will continue to visit this restaurant for the food and good value for money. Friday lunchtime is also recommended when they offer a great set price menu with the choice of any pasta or pizza with a soft drink included

The menu at the Comordorin Byfleet village is extensive and there is something for everbody. The prices are very reasonable and the service was very pleasant.The food was nice and it was piping hot. My family and I were looking for a nice local place for a family sunday roast. The price looked reasonable for a sunday. When the meal came, it wasnt what i would call a traditional sunday roast, was no proper roast potatoes, and the gravey was watery and to be honest, wasnt the best service. This did disappoint me a bit as a few months earlier myself and my other half had visited for a date night where the food and service was amazing - the only thing that let that visit down was the live band being way too loud, and not being able to have a normal conversation with my partner who was seating next to me, so we didnt really get to enjoy our meal and if i remember correctly we left before dessert (which is one of my favorite parts of going out for a meal), and we just brought some ice cream from coop and went home with that. So i really think when you are visiting this restuarant it really depends on when you actually go. But I am not saying I wouldnt go again, just it wouldnt be my first choice.

This is our local favourite, we go for occasional meals their and get the take away more often. The food is yummy and there very accommodating to individual needs. Totally wheelchair accessible, plenty of space. Staff are always very happy and the chef, I believe to be the owner, treats us as a friend when he sees us. Lovely, can't fault!!

This is just down the road from us and an early choice when we moved into the area. Having sampled the excellent Friday menu, we had a couple of good evening meals before being disappointed when trying a Sunday roast.My advice would be to stick to the pizzas. They're a decent size, are well cooked and there's a good choice. They'll prepare a salad as per your request, but the rest of the menu leaves a lot to be desired.

I ate here today with a friend - restaurant opens at 4.30pm (not 4pm as stated on website), that aside, the food was way below average - beef with mushrooms in pepper sauce was 90% tinned mushrooms with 10% beef. The 'chips' were very obviously frozen fries and the sauté potato was not what I would expect, ie; frozen 'potato' 'discs' .... the salad was ok!NOT recommended considering the standard of food / price. Such a shame.

January 2014 was our 4th visit to this restaurant. The 1st was a good experience with good music and a large group. The 2nd was average we came in a group but the music was a little too loud which made it hard to talk but service was good and friendly. The 3rd was great we came and both had the steak which is delicious. So for our 4th visit we invited a friend from abroad at our recommendation. He chose to have a pizza to try a proper italian pizza as did my boyfriend which sadly was extremely disappointing, the pizza was small and greasy and my boyfriend was ill afterwards. I on the otherhand selected a buffalo mozarella and tomato salad, which consisted of a thousand tomatoes and not a single salad leaf. My boyfriend was ill that night after eating the pizza, I cannot say if the pizza caused the illness but he said he felt unwell after eating it. Our friend who is ever so polite even commented that he did not like the meal, it was very embarassing for us as it was supposed to be a treat and I honestly think a frozen pizza from the co-op next door would have been better. Again also the music was so loud even at 8pm we found it hard to speak. This restaurant has fantastic potential to be great, and we really want it to be as it's in a great location for us and we would be regular guests with friends/family/a night off from cooking! The restaurant ambience is great and the front of house staff are very friendly, just please turn the music down a notch and get a new chef.

I have eaten at this restaurant before and always had good food and service. Once again they have excelled there selves with excellent service and food. I had the Comodor Chicken with both rice and sauté and after some garlic bread and dough balls this was a step to far, The chicken nearly filled to whole plate and was excellent with the sauce.The restaurant had been busy and we arrived late without a booking and they still managed to seat us.This is still a reasonably priced restaurant and with beer and wine it came to about £25.00 per head, most of that made up of the drink.Always a good atmosphere and occasionally live music at weekends when you will need to book.Well worth a visit, close to Mercedes Benz world or Brooklands Museum if you are visiting either of those.

Spent the evening here as part of a birthday celebration. The service was charming and extremely efficient and the food was excellent and good value. Will go back.

Our experience at the Comordor restaurant was very positive. A menu with plenty of choice, good food served pipping hot and excellent value for money.The portions were large and the service was efficient. It all amounted to a lovely evening and we shall certainly return here.

4 of October Friday night live music Saturdays as well great atmosphere my Ceroc dancing friends go there for birthdays and any time we all won't to have a meal all together and a dance , great value for money food good,this particular time was a birthdays it was a,super evening .,

About my 10th time there with 'the girls' on a Saturday night. Pizzas always very good and starters and salads nice. Having tried the pasta dishes in the past I now stick to the pizzas as the pasta sauces tasted as though they were out of a jar. Service always effecient without being overly attentive. Nice to have the music on a Saturday night although sometimes too loud and hard to talk above it. By 10.15 we were the only people left in there and felt a little uncomfortable as they cleared up around us but they did ( a little reluctantly) let us order more drinks. Always good value and nice wine!

Excellent pizza, mirrored on a fast, even express chain. Much cheaper. Often live music, very friendly, often hard to get a table even in the week. Pub and shops nearby.

2nd visit to this restaurant and we will be going back for a 3rd, 4th, 5th......Food was good - I asked for slight modifications as I can't eat certain foods and they were most accommodating. We asked for fresh fruit for dessert but they didn't have anything on the menu, but 10 mins laer the waitress came out with a place of her own fruit that had been cut up for us - amazing service! 10/10 for Customer Satisfaction.We had a very pleasant night listening to the guy playing guitar (live music on Fri/Sat nights).

Good on Friday and Saturday evenings, when they often have some live 60s and 70s music. House wine for a reasonable £12. Need to book, as often have big parties in.

This pizza house is as good as they come. The staff are friendly and efficient, the food choice is very good, well cooked and tasty. There is usually some music on Saturday and some other evenings. We've been here a number of times and have never been disappointed, we'll be coming back again and again.

we got a reservation for around 6.30 when we got there the place was buzzing, the waitress showed us to our table, the drinks came within 5 mins, and the starters were all served on time together.... our only problem was trying to decide what to have the menu is varied rustic and oh so tasty my children and i had pizzas all different all fab and the mains were brilliant my sister had beef, my brother in law chilli con carni and my husband a chicken dish the side salads were very tasty too, we did not have space for puddings only the kids managed to force icecream down them.... we will def go back the music man was fab and sang some really beautiful songs in fact last night was one of the very best nights we have had in a long time thank you comodor

This was my second visit for Sunday lunch and both times were very enjoyable. The ambiance is a bit cavernous with an echo but may be fine when more people are there on an evening for instance. The restaurant is clean with very friendly and helpful staff and the Sunday roast was extremely good value for money. There was a choice of Chicken, Beef or Pork with Yorkshire pudding and a large number of different vegetables - on both visits we had 6 or 7 different vegetables plus roast potatoes! Where else would you get that for £6.50 per head?House wine by the glass was also good value and acceptable.We will return. Ideal for families and retired folk and maybe youngsters on a budget. better value than many carveries.
