The workers are nice and know us, and haven't thrown pipe bombs at us yet, and that's a nice curtesy. DON'T ORDER THE CHICKEN KIEV

I've mainly had the burgers from here and although some are better than others, none are bad. Great for Sunday afternoon hangover shacks

Food took 2 hours to get to my house, greasiest food I’ve had, pizza fell apart when picked up not ordering from here again

Pizzas have took a real down turn...pizza base s have gone cheap and not like they used to be...won't be using again unless they change.

Firstly the delivery service was quick and efficient and delivered very quickly so there isn’t an issue with that but I have to say the pizza wasn’t good at all there was far too much topping and it was so greasy and sloppy it made it hard to eat I’m not sure if it is just this particular pizza but for our first experience of this place and after being recommended to try it I won’t be returning as I have had far better less greasy pizzas elsewhere you should be able to pick a slice of pizza up not have to eat it with a knife and fork after all that’s why pizzas were invented to be eaten with your hands

Order placed at 7.37pm, we waited almost 2 hours to be told it’s on its way. Poor service, it’s the first time we have ordered and won’t be ordering again. Cancelled the order.

Disgusting food. Pizza dough wasn’t cooked, not one of the family liked the pizza something in the ingredients definitely tasted off. Ripped off in price too.

Food is generally good, young guy behind counter very friendly and helpful but a female member of staff who answers the phone is super abrupt and off-putting

This used to be the best place foe kebabs and pizza. It's gone downhill. The pizza fell apart when picked up. Had no substance to it. Which made it unenjoyable... it was sloppy and tasted weird. The chicken kebab was awful the chicken used to be lovely and chargrilled. This time it is like rubber. And a little pink in the middle. Waited 6 minutes for someone to take payment. For the price we paid we won't be back.

Vile. Ordered a kids meal and my child left it all. Re-heated chips and re-heated dry pizza in a box. Wouldn't feed my dog it.

Not often an eatery is named after what they serve the food in, this place and my local chinese "Tin Foil Tray" are the exceptions. Decent enough scran, would recommend.

Ordered a family meal.everyone enjoyed theirs. I as the bill payer ordered a small vegetarian pizza and when I received I'd I was very disappointed as it was burnt and could not eat it. We have always gone here, but will have second thoughts in the future

I ordered from here last night I got a kebab wrap and when I got it it tasted funny I didn’t think nothing of it until the next day I was feeling quite unwell so I booked in to see a gp at Lumley doctors and they have said to me I’m showing every sign of food poisoning and that was the only thing I ate nice one pizza box

Decent pizza shop consitantly le good

Where to start.. Firstly we ordered a cheese garlic bread which when we arrived home was practically raw and doughy. Chicken Kebab was noticeably lacking the amount of chicken as we’ve had previously. Doner kebab meat was anaemic with litte or no taste. Maybe feeling the financial pinch but this shouldn’t be at the customers expense. I’ve been a customer since moved from imperial buildings so near to 35 years. The staff have change and are fairly rude and miserable, Time to try elsewhere as not good anymore.

Website details to be open till 2.30m. Shuts at 1am. Website should be updated

My Son has moved closer to the Fencehouses branch so we went to this one. I have to say that my usual Pizza Box is the Shiney Row branch. The pizzas were still good but Shiney still have the edge 🤭 Still love you Pizza Box team. Sorry Fencehouses, healthy competition for you to improve on 😉

Me and my fiancé always get a takeaway every so often and the food is out of this world and the staff are really friendly too.

Price increase???, no free delivery..my regular order just gone up 20% and its only 2 pizzas... Nice food..but never again

Not good!! After tipping deliver! Part of order missing! Only to be told by staff shortage & would put it on account! But why would I go back?? 8” pizza was actually 7”! Such a shame as used to be amazing.

We've been customers of Pizzabox for years and it's usually very good. Recently standards have slipped though. Really sloppy pizza tonight, overcooked pittas in our kebabs (they wouldn't open) and donner meat quality poorer than it normally is. Reluctantly it's time to take our custom elsewhere we think.

Don't normally give bad reviews but kebab meat was cold so............

Food lovely but took exception to the delivery 'kid' who asked me if I wanted my change! Was going to tip him anyway.

Been there a few times but today had a chicken wrap.... I’ll spare you the details but if anyone has any spare lockdown big roll I could do with a few rolls .... massive tummy ache and now through the eye of a needle.. Won’t be going back. Lots of different choices, pretty quickly prepared and good and tasty when you get home to eat it Popped in because I happened to be going past, and now have to resist it every time my journey takes me that way!

Pizza box is the best pizza shop in the northeast we have tried most pizza shops over the years and pizza box is certainly the best , the staff are so friendly and very helpful , My husband and I have been here tonight and the food was as tasty as usual it never fails , reasonable prices and quality food ... the guy who served us and has done since we have gone there is ever so friendly too . I would certainly recommend this shop . Thank you to all the staff .

Chicken kebababs have been mint 4 yrs!!! had 2 recently and they were a total kick in the stones!! NO TASTE.. SALAD GOIN BROWN.. COUNTER STAFF 11O% BUT MORE FLAVOUR IN A ICE CUBE...

I have ordered from here for ages never had any problems u till today ! I ordered food tonight after waiting for 1 hour I rang again to see how much long it would be for the lady to say it’s on it way nearly 2 hours of waiting for my food I rang again for the lady to tell me that I have never ordered and Iv never rang to say to order so all I can think of is they had lost my order and basically called my a lier won’t be goin back after this

After a long day at work decided to treat the family to pizza and kebabs. Ordered over the phone and collected from the shop. Food was absolutely outstanding and quality was fabulous. I had a very generous chicken kebab. The chicken tasted really lovely and the salad was fresh and tasty. My kids ordered pizza and said it was the best they have ever tasted. One was a Kiev and the other a margarita. All the food was reasonably priced and made me think that we might treat ourselves and go to pizza box once a week.

Today (3rd May 2019) I called into my local pizza shop to get jax some icken nugget meal, with salad, as Jax's eyes are bigger than his belly! When we got home he tucked in... After he ate his pizza, 2 nuggets, cucumber and some salad he declared he was full! It was at this point I began to eat the salad. To my utter horror I realised that the tomato was not only mouldy but was actually growing fur. Now, I've eaten at this place for a long as I can remember so I didn't want to make too much fuss but wanted to make them aware of the issue. I was also concerned about jax, who had eaten some of the salad.. I rang the shop, refused another meal and was offered my money back. I was happy with this and said I'd drop it off for them rather than them sending someone for it. When I got to the shop I was told I couldn't have a refund for the pop, as I'd already drank it! After this, the manager proceeded to verbally assault me. He was very aggressive. He called me liar, claiming that I'd placed the tomato in my salad box! I did try to explain that I wouldn't do this, it's just not my style and certainly isn't worth the hassle. The meal was only £4.50. He then began showing me tomatoes, again calling me a liar. "Look at this. We have 5 stars. You tell lies." I calmly explain that I didn't care about the 5 stars. I was more concerned about my child who had eaten the salad! He told me to, "Get out and do not come back!" I think the man doth protest too much... As you can imagine I have reported this incident to the food hygiene service, who have asked to see the photos and receipt. All I wanted was my money back, and maybe an apology. So, if you choose to eat here you take your own health into your hands..

Placed order at 7.15pm and told delivery would be about 1hr to 1.30hr which could understand with weather but after 2 hrs called chasing order and told on way 1hr later after waiting over 3 hrs told driver stuck and has order. Just cancelled as shouldn't have to wait 3 hours for an order

The star is for the service. Never again, overcooked chicken to the point where the meat has shrivelled and hard, lasagne no meat and bland, do I need to go on?

Foods the worst and it’s expensive.

Ordered food from here the other night, like Herr has for numerous years. My Pizza was delightful, hence the star rating, however my chicken kebab was minging and I wouldn't have fed it to Pavlov's dog. The best way to describe the chicken was that it had been cremated, and then served out to me. Utterly inedible and devoid of any taste what so ever. The garlic bread that came with it was also under cooked, and still doughy. Top marks for the salad, though. I've seen people harp on about the so called 'great prices' here, but I've never noticed them, or the 'great' food. Which is why I've started visiting Pizza King up the road.

Very disappointed... Not the 1st time we have ordered every weekend for years and have now and then been given the wrong meals or not everything there tonight a mixed kabab a full meal off the order was missing and waited nearly half an hour for it so cancelled the order and wanted money back.... Will never ored from here again this wa slast straw!

Meal arrived cold minus chips. Reformed and cubed chicken was vile. Asked for extra bechemel sauce on the chicken parmo. No bechemel at all. Will not order again. My cat wouldn't even eat any of the chicken. Speaks volumes...vile

Called my order in really late the staff were lovely and helped me to my car I had so much and it was lovely We had loads of it left aswell for tasty seconds tomorrow Definitely worth it 😊

The food and service are so outstanding, I travel for miles to order from the fencehouses branch, they do deliver though if required. I often do and will continue to spread the good word of how it is the best kebab/pizza shop in the surrounding area.

Although it is in a good location it can still take far too long to get food. And the recipes need a little more work. Poor ingredients make for poor food.

Pizza box the greasiest most disgusting horrible offensive insult to food. Literally like garbage in a box better use if your money will be go outside and eat something from your bin this will almost certainly be more delicious than pizza box could ever produce. Shame shame shame pizzabox your product is cheap and disgusting please just close and stop inflicting your horrendous food on the public

Awful chicken on pizza. Pre cooked chunks of water filled chicken. Tainted taste disgusting. Tried removing chicken but the taste was still there. For almost £10 for a medium pizza real chicken should have been used. Too much cutting overheads results in inferior product . Loss of business we wont be back. DISGUSTING

Good staff and customer service

Well first off the delivery driver opened the bag and pushed everything out onto the floor?..... Also pizza wasn't very nice at all and the cheese on the cheesy chips was almost see through accompanyed by a hair what I found. I'd give this place no stars if I could...

Wrong order again! Always miss out the chips. This was the second time within a few weeks. My husband actually drove up to the shop to tell them and was told he could have some but would have to pay for them in a rude manner. Bad customer service and won't be going back again.

Prices are higher than Pizza Hut and the quality of an Iceland oven pizza they tell you 30-40mins and then you sit in the cramps shop for a further 20mins The greedy owners have lost there way - over priced - orders always wrong or missing - always late - never more than luke warm -------------BEWARE--------------

Waited 30 minutes for my food at the counter when told it would be 10minutes and when it arrived was dry and overcooked, total rubbish, would never go back ....

Pizza n chips were luke warm (but cooked) waited an hour which is usual so I don't understand why it wasn't hot! Used to be nice years ago so don't know went wrong. On the other hand the girl on the phone was helpful. I won't return though!

0 STARS.....very disappointed considering that the first time I ordered from them it was amazing I thoroughly enjoyed my meal so I looked forward to ordering my cheese burger in tortilla parcel with chips and a can of coke again and yet what was delivered to me was the worst stuff I've ever had I cant even call it food it was disgusting the tortilla parcel was soggy with grease the burger was chewy and cold and just tasted off the chips were cold and soggy the onion rings were cold and soggy the can of coke on the other hand was hot so in conclusion I am never ordering from them again and advise family and friends to stay away
