Comida perfecta antes del show. Me gustaría reservar aquí de nuevo.

No fries!!!!!! No explanation!!!! Portions were small. Drinks were served in plastic bottles that I could have bought in the local shop. Not a place I will return to when far better and cheaper places to eat near the Theatre

Slow service and poor food. Arrived with 2 hours to spare before the matinee we had tickets for at the Liverpool Empire. Drinks arrived fairly quickly but it took 40 mins for garlic bread and olives to arrive. The garlic bread was overcooked and made with dried herbs giving an unpleasant taste. The olives were not very nice either. When the pizzas finally arrived another 30 mins after we finished the starters they were not great either. We had to leave in a rush to get to the show missing out on dessert and coffees in the restaurant. Then the bill had an extra pizza on it so make sure you check!

Staff are lovely, place was nice, but the Caeser salad was not the best . We got served in time for the show, there was a few things not available on the menu.

Delicious, piping hot Americano pizza followed by a beautiful slice of Sicilian lemon cheesecake, washed down with a glass of Chenin blanc. All for £25, definitely worth it! Restaurant was clean and well lit, and the staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Lovely place to eat before the show starts.

Worst meal I have ever had! Booked & paid in advance.....£25 per head. Booked as a treat before watching Jesus Christ Superstar at the Empire theatre. What we received were a okish starter which consisted of some cured meats, salad & four breadsticks followed by two average burnt pizzas. Including was a small glass of wine & a bittle of beer. Certainly not worth £50. The menu was basic and only offered the choice of pizzas and two other mains. I would have expected a pasta dish at least. So disappointed. Wont be returning.

Arranging a night out to celebrate a friend’s birthday I booked theatre tickets and meal at Al Teatro to primarily ensure meal served in time for show ( which is advertised). There were 7 of us we were checked into and placed orders by 6:15. We were served our drinks ( part of deal) no starters ordered. However 7 pm came still no food show was to start at 7:30 ! We asked the staff and initially told busy and in view of us wanting 7 pizzas it appeared couples were being served before us. THANKFULLY a message came over tannoy to say show delayed by 15mins. We all got our pizzas ( and fries) by 7:10pm we rushed these and ordered desserts which we got about 7:30. There were two not finished as needed toilet break before going into theatre. We rushed out of restaurant just after 7:40 to get to seats. However some positives to add, food was great, staff lovely, we got a second free drink but it was all very stressful for. E as I had organised and we would not have managed dessert if show had not been delayed! Great place but if you say guaranteed food before show you must deliver that!

We were celebrating our 16th anniversary by visiting the Empire Theatre. When booking we saw that they now had a restaurant attached. We paid £20 in advance for a pizza. As soon as we entered the restaurant and were handed the menu we were confused. The only prices showing applied to side orders, no prices for starters, mains or deserts. They did put a price at the top for 2 and 3 course meals with a drink. We asked the waitress to explain the pricing structure and what exactly our £20 went towards. She had to go and ask for clarity. The pizza was £12.95, not excessive we thought and soft drinks reasonably priced. However, when the pizzas were brought out they were burnt. My crust was totally black around the edges, my partners not quite as bad, but not good. The chilli flakes were blackened and the middle not cooked enough. When the waitress asked if we were enjoying the meal we said we were not. A second waitress came and I just pointed at my meal and she agreed it was burnt. At no point was a refund offered. We left saying we would never come again. Fortunately the play Peter Pan goes Wrong was excellent, a much needed laugh.

We visited last Sunday before seeing ABBA Mania. There were only six people in the restaurant which held about 40. My Husband ordered Pizza and I ordered Caesar salad. I had to pay £2.50 extra for the chicken to go with it. My Husband asked for a Pepperoni pizza. As they didn’t offer a pepperoni pizza, only an Italian hot sausage one, he was charged an additional £5 for the pepperoni even though he didn’t have the sausage. The pizza was OK but nothing special but the salad was dire! Just large leaves of Romaine lettuce draped across a dish with a few croutons, grey looking chicken and obviously dried Parmesan. The desert was OK, I had Sicilian lemon tart and hubby had just plain ice cream. We had the two courses for £25 each which included a drink of either a glass of wine, beer, a short with a mixer or a soft drink. We paid £57 for this meal - was it value for money? Absolutely not!
