Pizza 55 in Wakefield

Young lass behind counter was so welcoming and polite had a good chat about were we came from it's nice to have a friendly chat while waiting for your food which was also very nice would recommend this place all day long

First time trying this place since the new ownership. Ordered 2 pizzas and 2 milkshakes. The milkshakes tasted exceptionally bland, no flavour other than milk. So , I’m the spirit of fairness, I called them and they, in effect, said we were wrong and that they just needed stirring. We had already tried this stirring and no difference. To make matters worse these ‘half sized’ milkshakes cost £7.60! The pizza was supposed to be tomato and pesto and arrived without pesto. Sadly, that’s the last time we order.

Just had prosciutto fungi which was piping hot full of ham fungi cheese. Really delicious and excellent value for money. Never had anything I didn't enjoy keep up the great work.

Absolutely awful. Arrived cold and minus a garlic bread. Rung and told us would be here within 3o mins. Still waiting 2 hours later. DO NOT GO HERE

Absolute joke! Pre ordered in the morning for 6pm delivery. Phone call an hour before to check whether we wanted our delivery earlier, which was not possible. Delivered on time but minus a free garlic cheese bread which was on offer for orders over £20. Told by the delivery driver this was because they were busy (this despite the call one hour earlier so clearly had plenty of time to sort!). Called to complain, told it was now because our order was not over £30! Advised the offer on the website clearly states orders over £20 (and this was listed in the online order we had placed). Told this would now be with us in 30mins, never arrived. Absolute joke, this would never have happened under the previous chef/owner who was all about looking after his customers, should be ashamed!

Absolutely disgusting I witnessed the staff sneezing and coughing over the food. There was a man there looked like potentially the owner looked like he had no respect for the staff and was looking at the staff in and unsuitable manner for how old they look. Personally will never use the place again, was so much better with the old owners. The not plus side was the pizza which was brilliant credit to who ever makes the pizzas. But the overall atmosphere wasn’t for me having teenage daughters myself.

Unfortunately we don’t recommend we were really hoping this would be a new takeaway for us. Took about standard hour to come literally saw the car pull up and had a phone call at the same time saying we can’t find you didn’t even attempt to so we had to go out women said didn’t have change dropped all her money on the floor. Considering we live less than 5 mins away our food was actually freezing the chips weren’t even cooked all hard in the middle. Pizzas were nice but again freezing.

So I ordered a pizza and a kebab was told could be up to 1 and a half hours, I rang around 1hr 50 mark and they said it was in car on way to us, rang again at 2hrs 20 and said still out for delivery. When dropped off after about 2hrs 40 mins it was stone cold. Delivery driver apologised saying they'd sent her to all over with mine in so been in car ages. Rang up to explain, no apology, just rude, denied it had been in car so long and said it was fresh when it left, i said yes, 40 mins ago and he called me a liar saying it hadn't been out that long. I even said all I wanted was an apology and for them to accept responsibility, he just wasn't interested and put phone down on me. My son up now way past his bedtime waiting whilst I warm it up in oven. Shocking service, they've lost my custom. Poor delivery driver was lovely, shame management can't take a leaf out of her book. Why not just apologise, beggars belief. Oh, and they got the order wrong 🤷‍♂️

Absolutely disgusting service I ordered on Deliveroo a burger. I read the description and no where on it said it had mayo on the burger bearing in mind I’m allergic. The food arrived and there was mayo on my burger so I rang up and told a staff member who then passed me over to someone who was so rude he said there’s nothing he can do it was a technical difficulty and they can’t replace it. I should have put no mayo in the description even though it didn’t say mayo. So now I’ve got no food and wasted my money.

Ordered pizza said 15mins so went back after 15mins said another 10 mins do went back 10 mins later and the pizza was cold will not be back I think go to waggon. Ps young girl who took order was very polite

Ordered first time tonight since it reopened and was really looking forward it. Only ordered a hotshot pizza and chips . The food was delivered in the time they said it would but the chips were flat cold the pizza not much warmer and was very very soggy..such a shame won't be using them again

Pizza tastes so good and they give free garlic bread sometimes love this place. Definitely recommend trying a pepperoni pizza with the peri peri sauce base.

Food just never turned up! Spoke on phone and got the usual will be 5 minutes answer waited another 30 to be told they couldn’t find us. Told them to cancel in end. No offer of a discount etc for a re order. Also a side note, find it wrong they still have all the old 5 star reviews from when it was the previous owner. Misleading and untrue as this is nothing like it used to be

Good quality toppings but the pizza bases are awful. Like eating a stale biscuit.

Recommend don't use the app to order, wrong information sent to the store including delivery times and name. Pizza came hot but no seasoning and very greasy. Girl on the phone needs customer service training very sharp and interrupting me.

Place under new management. Went for the first time tonight. Sorry guys but I wasn't impressed. We had two different pizzas, one veggie one meat, both were bland, in fact I've bought tastier pizzas from the Co-op. I watched one of the girls, who was slicing the pizza, put her long false nail in her mouth and then slice a pizza without washing or gelling her hands in between. So far as I could see the same pizza slicer was being used for meat and vegi pizzas ( I might be wrong) I wish I could be more positive. I understand you have just opened but please make these things better. Thank you.

I picked up tonight. Large donner on nann chicken burger n popcorn chicken. All was very good apart from the popcorn chicken was nuggets. Other than that, can't really complain.

Pizza need some extra ingredients like oregano etc. Still a bit raw on top. But hope so will be better next time.

Just eaten there tonight since the relaunch. Food is banging. Does take its time but worth the wait. Good portion size and everything cooked fresh. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous food on time and piping hot. Good prices, we got the 2 pizza deal and the burger box. All was beautiful and you get so much in the burger box! Will definitely order again, and it's only been open a couple of days! 🥳😋

Great food, great service and good value

Worst Calzone I have ever had. I had been so looking forward to having a Calzone pizza as I had very recently come home from hospital However. this was a pizza base with topping and another base squashed on top, not the deep filling you get with a traditional fold over pizza. It looked like a squashed Cornish pasty. I could not scrape the filling off so it went straight into the bin. There were some free chips which I had not wanted. I ordered a side of sweet chilli sauce. It was very hot and spicy but just a matter of individual taste. No

Have always gone here for pizza and burgers could only get 1 size pizza and can't get burgers anymore witch kids normally have chips looked anemic needed more cooking and was not very warm when delivered was disappointed with meal but arrived on time

Normally its beautiful from here but tonight I'm having put a disappointing 3 stars. It was late to start with and now trying to tuck into it n its not nice. I'm sure the donner meat has been tickled with a lighter. Awful colour and its just luke warm. The only thing good about the order is the wedges, onion rings n dips

Quick service and a tasty meal. Well done Pizza 55. Covid measures were in place. The food was freshly prepared and good quality. The service was personal and professional. Limited parking is available in the street, but not immediately outside. There is no disabled access, but delivery is available.

Best take away we've ever had!!! The food is spot on, very fresh and tasty. We love how we get little extras too with the garlic bread slices and odd chips, my kids love that. Wont go anywhere else now. 5 Stars + from us.

Love this takeaway it's the only place we will go to for a takeaway of any kind never had a problem.

What can I say this place is the number one place for pizza the amount of toppings you get for the price is unreal always cook fresh I definitely will not go to any other takeaway now I have found this place well done guys keep the good work up 👍👍👍

Clearly we had a different experience to everyone else at this takeaway. Positives- The service is efficient, staff are polite and friendly. The prices are good, cheaper then a lot of places nearby. The chips were fresh and tasty. Everything was cooked fresh to order. The negatives- I adore pizza, I could eat it any time night or day but not this pizza. I hate to say it but it really was one of the worst pizzas I have ever had. All I can say is the base tasted stale. The taste stayed with me for 24hrs and put me off eating for most of the next day. We had lots left over and I couldn't face looking at rock face eating it the next day. It is very rare we have leftovers and if we do it is always gone by lunch time the next day. Unfortunately a lot of this went in the bin. We really wanted to like it and obviously a lot of people do. Maybe we got an off night but I definitely wouldn't risk trying again.

I’ve been using these guys for around 3 years now, the staff are really lovely, polite and make you feel really welcome.The food itself is amazing. I’ve tried other pizza places but none compare to these guys. I recommend the Cheeky Chicken. Beware you may get some free fries (like I said these guys are awesome).

This has been our local go to pizza delivery for years now, the pizzas are always delicious and arrive hot and promptly. The owner often throws in free onion rings/chips/garlic bread. Friendly delivery driver too!

Staff and food is wonderful, done then and there fresh! and piping hot out of the ovan, food is done before i even arrive at the place!

We got three pizza and garlic bread they also have us free chips oinon rings and drink. The service was very quick and the food was very tasty.If you want a good take away you can't go far wrong with 55

I have been eating at Pizza 55 for approx 2 years now. The food is delicious and quick delivery. Prices are good, Staff and drivers are very polite and quick service.

We have tried them for first time recommended by a friend food above average friendly staff good meal deals are great I recommend them every time for us it was 2s company

Food is okay, what you'd expect from a local takeaway. I think the place needs new drivers. My dad knows one of the delivery men, won't name anyone, and he saw him in a shop nearby. The driver told my dad that he had people orders in the car but that they could wait until he took his shopping home. He laughed and said they'd already been in the car half an hour. So the food must've been cold by the time they received it. That's my main complaint. Otherwise good, we've been ordering from there for a while as it's close and good prices. For being a regular buyer we've sometimes gotten a free drink or free chips which is a nice gesture.

Had several pizzas from this place and they have all been lovely and are always ready in about 20mins. Kebab pizza yummy. They will make whatever you want if its not on the menu.

Podría haber hecho una yo en ese tiempo! Has perdido un cliente fiel por su falta de comunicación. Debe haber sido honestos cuando realizó el pedido y dijo que tenía problemas de entrega y yo habría elegido personalmente.

el propietario, gas gran servicio de atención al cliente, nada es nunca mucho. Si la comida se ha retrasado él withers descuentos el precio o mantas algo en gratis como, patatas fritas o aros de cebolla. Las pizzas son de ensueño. Él pasa una correcta cocina y los trabajadores son claramente capacitado y bien su Mladějov. Hace un stock de riéndose de todos los otros takeouts y restaurantes italianos de la zona. Tienes que probarlo, no te decepcionará.

Siempre disfrutar de la pizza, hamburguesas y pizza Kebabs aquí en 55, el único lugar en el que comprar pizza, los pinchos están llenos de con mucha carne a Dios y el servicio es siempre bueno.
