Pitmaster in Manchester

The Beef Ribs I ordered were just okay. It was more fat than meat, which meant that the taste of the meat was overwhelmed by the fat. That paired with the underseasoned meat made for what I'd describe as a mediocre meal. I'm not the biggest fan of pulled beef, so I probably wouldn't visit this establishment again, unless someone is able to convince me to try something else. Seating and atmosphere is good. It is pretty pricey, but admittedly it is filling.

Nice family atmosphere, friendly and welcoming staff. Food was delicious, have been before and since we were passing we couldn't resist the loaded fried and brisket burger. Slightly expensive but can't complain about food quality.

Came last night at a very busy time, so there was a wait for the food (around 40 mins) but it was well worth the wait.. The brisket was delicious, other people’s food looked equally nice. The staff were great. All in all a great visit and will come again. Maybe not as fasting was ending as it was quieter later on.. Really great food..

Been here a handful of times. This was the worst has hit the nail in the coffin won't be coming back. I am a serious meat eater when it comes to eating food.Brisket was a little on chewy side. We ordered the rib burgers with the bone inside it. With loaded fries. I know the price for brisket is expensive but this feels like a rip off as the meat should be spot on for the price we are paying.(overall 4 peopls review about this). The cookies where dead. It was like they were uncooked very doughy nothing like the tic tok video. Was not really going to come here it was a tik tok video we watched made it look beautiful but was far from that. I ain't a hater but. For the money you are paying should be premium edition service/food/atmosphere. This place ain't for me. Do not recommend. 🤮

Food was absolutely disgusting I was unsatisfied smell of the place was abit weird and expensive for no reason for the price you’d expect quality food but this was unsatisfying. And the brisket was horrible tastes like burnt sausage from a food truck.

Amazing tasty food, staff were so lovely and helpful...will definitely go back and can't wait to try their chicken restaurant across the road when it opens

Truly amazing food, one of the best meat locations in Manchester. The meat quality was great and perfectly cooked, the portions were very generous and all ingredients really tasted fresh and qualitatives. The menu has many options, it's hard to make a choice.

I was in Manchester today and decided to treat myself to some smokehouse. I ordered the small brisket and a small rib (off the bone), BBQ sauce and peppercorn sauce, and Jalapeño bites. The meat was very soft and tender, the rib had much more flavour and was much more tender than the brisket. If I came here again I would have the short ribs over the brisket, whilst it wasn’t dry, as such, it was as succulent as the rib. This is a premium food place, and it cost me £36, so I expected the cutlery to be top quality, sadly it was not very good and did not enhance the eating experience. I thought the cutlery was bit uncomfortable and took the shine off a little from a very satisfying lunch. I told the staff to pass this little criticism on to the management. Little things like this do enhance the experience. At these prices I would expect some sides to be included by default, but sides were extra.

The food tastes really good not going to lie. However its pricy and small portions. The normal food too. A very basic very small burger for £10 on its own.

Alhamdulilah the food was hitting standards where the wait time was around 40 minutes but understandable seen as thought everything is fresh. Decently priced for the quality of meat. Seating is available and average for where it’s location is based including the staff being ultimately pleasing with the service as swift and organised as can be. I would call before to confirm how long the wait time would be depending on the amount of people arriving. Overall good vibes and family atmosphere.

Pitmaster Smokehouse on Wilmslow Road offers delicious BBQ with rich flavors and great portion sizes. The brisket and rib burgers are a must-try, and the service is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is relaxed, though the interior could use some updates. Overall, a great spot for BBQ lovers!

Absolutely shocking food, i ordered a ribs loaded box and it was disgusting, the meat tasted old and dry so i rang them and they said take it up with ubereats so i did, i paid £26 for my food and got £1.50 back. Absolutely unacceptable from pitmaster, I'll never order from them ever again

I came all the way from wales today just for the brisket. Ordered one large portion and one medium brisket slices, 2 burgers, one rib loaded with fries tex max and some extras. Chaos part :- In the beginning, we were served 5 burgers I asked that guy twice where is the brisket slices so he pointed out towards the burgers and he said the loaded rib is on the way I thought they might have wrapped my brisket slices into burgers somehow, well we started eating after some time the guy came just said “ it was mistake and took 4 unwrapped burgers and 4 fries from us and took it back and then came back with that one same burger with 2 dead cold briskets ( with two equal medium even tho I ordered one large ) He took 2 fries back but I was expecting 3 fries so I asked him after while he brought fries back but forgot the drinks. I was so pissed about everything and this point I can’t express honestly!! The loaded Rib fries were without Rib I mean mistakes happen but this was beyond mismanagment and training. And all the burgers were in one tray with no extra plates ( not sure if he forgot or they just don’t provide plates but eitherway it was unpleasant )

If you’re a meat lover—especially a ribs fanatic like me—this place is basically heaven. The ribs and beef briskets? Tasty burgers and perfect loaded steak, kinda pricy but worth it

The food tasted good, but it was far too expensive and doesn't justify the price you pay for it. Portions were very small, and brisket made us unwell for a couple of days. Hygienically, the kitchen wasn't very organised or clean at all.

Great quality food served in good time, flavoursome burger with brisket. Cakes were also incredible and the milkshakes looked epic!

First time here, atmosphere and food was delicious. We had the loaded rib chips, meat melted in the mouth. Only downside would be food comes out lukewarm due to time between shredding rib and prepping dish, had to request it to be reheated. Would recommend 🔥

Food from here is great, however after ordering from these guys and receiving cold food previously and a spilt milkshake I called the restaurant with concerns about my order and the person who answered the phone was extremely rude and dismissive about my concerns. As someone who has worked in a dark kitchen for over three years I know what good customer service should look like and this was not what I expected at all. Again, great food but the staff are extremely rude, bear this in mind if you order

Tasty enough but laughably overpriced.

This place was sooooo good!!!! We are visiting from America and I’m sad we don’t have one in the states. Literally the best brisket ever. I had the peppercorn melt and my kids got the bbq smokehouse melt and the outhouse special. Everyone was beyond satisfied. To top it off, the service was amazing and the food came really fast.

Visited Pitmaster BBQ & Smokehouse on a Friday night with family while in Manchester for an event. The food was fresh, flavourful, and great value for money. The service was attentive and friendly, and the place wasn’t too busy, so it made for a relaxed dining experience. Plenty of seating space available. Would definitely return on our next visit to Manchester!

God damn best burger I have ever had I swear to God. The meat is juicy and just falls apart and the flavour is there and it hits. My mouth is actually in heaven . First time I've tried this place tonight don't know why I've never tried it till now. These guys know how to cook . Also the food was still hot upon delivery and I can't commend them enough. Top notch scran right here. You pay for what you get. Deliciousness 10/10

Amazing brisket melt, this place tops some of the best bbq I've had in the USA. The don't skimp on the portions and they're open late. Staff is friendly and helpful. You won't find a better BBQ place in Manchester.

Both the Loaded fries were ordered were the highlight for us! The shredded Rib pieces on top fries and Nacho cheese 😍 you can opt for different flavours which is a great concept! The Brisket also had so much flavour; just a joy to eat! We also really enjoyed the burgers! The melt burger had very soft and tender Brisket pieces and it went so well with the Peppercorn sauce; a very subtle peppery flavour. Again with this burger you can choose different flavours! Even the mac and cheese bites were so good! Probably the best we've had, so cheesy and creamy and good portion size!🤌🏽

Food tastes nice, brisket was a bit dry. For the price you expect either amazing quality or bigger portion, unfortunately both lack. The rib on loaded fries was a huge bone, the meat was enough for a child, brisket for £15, 150grams i believe was two 3 to 4 inches long slivers and very dry. Burger for £10 was again tiny, two mouth full for a teenager. Chips and peppercorn sauce where excellent though

REAL REVIEW 2024 I mean, I'm a regular since opening but i need to be honest... 1. Beautiful place, nice seating, beautiful customer service EVERY SINGLE TIME! Men behind till are class acts as is Owner. 2. My partner usually gets oggled in such settings so feels uncomfortable but they treated her with utmost respect, she really felt comfortable. That says a lot! 3. Cost is a bit high and parking so difficult but 4. Brisket and rib is beautiful for any lamb/beef eaters. Something different but welcome! 5. You'll only like it if you're a meat eater. 6. Not a burger place -- any reviews talking burgers discard.

We arrived an hour after they opened. The young man behind the counter was very patient with us as it was our first time there. The food was amazing we went for the brisket muffin fully loaded and a apple crumble cookie with a scoop of gelato ice cream 🍦. It was 10/10 the meat of the brisket was tender and peeling off, the turkey rashers was crunchy and caramelised. We really enjoyed the food and service. We will be back again.

Never Again! Got the brisket 200g for £20 and it tasted like boiled meat. Was supposed to be slices of Brisket but was just a mushy blob wrapped in tinfoil and was cold. The place was soo cold had Aircon on in when it was freezing outside. Took ages to serve the food and not to mention its overpriced! The smokey bbq loaded rib fries was nice but again £18 for loaded fries is soo overpriced for what u get!.

Food is on point - abit pricey on the brisket as you need to have more than the large portion for 2 people, but it is slow cooked to perfection.

Great customer service, very friendly and polite. The whole concept of service brisket is great and you can tell they have put a lot of work into it, however I’d say the brisket could have been a little bit more tender and moist. The flavour was 10/10 once the cooking of the brisket is nailed this will an insane burger. Looking forward to trying again to see the improvements that have been made! Keep it up 👏🏽

Tastiest juicey burger, and meat was so well cooked, it was literally melting. A good place for sitting as well for the family and you can get a refillable drink as well. They offer you car with stamps as well for free food on next visit. Like chips or drinks.

Not great experience, first, ordered buttomless drinks, on the menu it said it had Diet Coke however there was no sugar free options which wasn’t an option for me with diabetes. Ordered the large brisket which for £20 was a small portion and was even smaller by half the portion being fat and not meat. The lines were extremely slow because they only have one till so after I realised that I had to get bottled drinks as there was no sugar free option for bottomless, the queue to get one bottled drink took 20 minutes. Overall very disappointed in my experience.
