We visited the Southport market for some food with family. I opted for Pitamu as I love Greek food and it really didn’t disappoint! I had the chicken gyros and ended up ordering a second one and sharing them with my daughter as she saw it and wanted it too! Would definitely recommend ⭐️

Love the gyros from here - fresh, tasty & good portions, and plenty of options to customise to your taste. The flatbread are lovely, fluffy & chewy and the fillings are great. Our favourite stall in the market!

This s a large informal space around a central bar. Lots of different eateries. This was our 2nd visit and we ate at pitamu Greek street food. Having double yeeros pita £9.90 each. Which is essentially a Donner kebab in y mind with a few chips wrapped in with everything else. Although it was tasty it is not worth the big price tag. It was very underwhelming. Off to the local kebab shop for me to get better value. The market itself is a lively space which was v busy when we went. Not many people wearing masks if your concerned about Covid

Visited the new Southport Market on Saturday and was very impressed by the venue.Felt safe with security staff on duty and the long bar down the centre is fabulous. Its dog friendly too. We love Greek food and have lived and travelled widely in Greece so was excited to hear about a stall, Pitamu, selling Guros pita which is normally meat cooked on a revolving spit, sliced off and served inside a soft pitta with salad, tzatziki and a few chips. On arrival was disappointed to see no meat on display being cooked. We ordered two large pork pitas and a Greek salad. Told straight away there were no olives to go on the salad ! Unbelievable really, in this day and age that a Greek food stall can run out of olives on a Saturday night .Poor planning I'm afraid.Pita was tasty but greek salad was very disappointing. Tomatoes sliced so thin that became mushy in the oil, cucumber with skin on,never seen this in a Greek restaurant before, few pieces of onion and all looked so uninviting. Was expecting a normal Greek salad, nice and chunky not mush in a tray. Come on Pitamu we want you to to be a success. Well be back to try again soon, to give you another chance to get things right.
