Great food and service. Really easy to see allergens on the menu for someone with intolerances, which made the visit all the more enjoyable. Would have loved to try the cheesecake but unfortunately they'd run out....all the more reason to go back!

Love this place, the food is spot on, and in tapas style, it comes out spaced out, as and when it's ready, giving you time to enjoy each dish. I recommend trying a mocktail, my favourite is the gingerapple. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

I had high hopes for this, given how much I enjoyed Pistachio in Sneinton - but to be honest I found the food to be “ok”. Nothing wrong with it, but I was not blown away. The service was good. As were the drinks.

Prawns overcooked (2). Halloumi nice(4), lamb chops paper thin (tasty), Persian bread nice(but 4 quid !). Was asked about the food and responded - no reaction. Probably won't return.

Overall a really nice experience with tasty food. Only regret is that ordering one of the dips i wish i included that in one of the three dishes i ordered. The only improvement from a vegan menu perspective is that a lot of the selection of dishes we had some sort of onion in them. Some of them unnecessary like the feta and spinach filo parcels on a bed of onion. Also the cauliflower didn't need the onion. That's the only real complaint i had.

The starters and main were really, really tasty, absolutely delicious in fact. I thought my cheese cake dessert was far too sweet with the syrup on it, so that was a shame. My gin and tonic was delicious. It's a bit noisy in the restaurant but I am noise sensitive. It was still pretty easy to have a conversation with my 2 friends.

The food was tasty and different. Tastes that maybe I had not had before. The ambience was nice and the decor. The staff were nice but maybe not as clear as they could have been. Dishes weren't announced when they came and people in our party were having to try and find their food on the table. Also I would have benefitted from a finger bowl after breaking up prawns with sauce on. I suppose I could have asked for one. But it did not spoil the overall experience. Would visit again.

We came in as a table of four and were promptly seated and offered water to have whilst we picked our meals. The menu is very clear with lots of various options depending on your dietary requirements, and if you have any questions the staff are friendly and happy to help ! The restaurant was warm, well lighted and cozy, and food arrived quickly, in good rotation and it was absolutely delicious, lots of care into how the food was presented was clearly taken into consideration, and I could not fault a single dish on the table. The wine we had paired very nicely as well, and everyone left feeling very full and satisfied. Thank You !

From hearing great reviews from friends I had high expectations but the reality was very disappointing. The dips we had were wonderful, but the cod loin and chicken dishes were on the dry side. The overwhelming issue of the night was the restaurant was very cold and the small portable heaters made little difference which meant we ate in our scarves. We did mention the temperature when the waitress asked if we were ok, but they pointed out it was also cold outside!

This Tapas style restaurant is cosy and friendly. Would definitely go again. The only negative is that the toilets are upstairs.

What can I say never in my entire life have ever cried for a bar and restaurant well I cried tears of joy ~ here is the story: I launched my first book at Pistachios Sherwood this was the third best day of my life because Orash, his wife, Mia and the staff made happen. The food was exceptional, the venue, the drinks everything was just exceptional exactly how I wanted it to be. Pistachio family you guys rock I can’t thank you enough. Everything was just amazing

Popular newish restaurant on Sherwood High Street with good word of mouth reviews. So, we tried it one evening recently, and disappointingly, it was a damp squib for us. Why do some chefs insist on putting pomegranate seeds and molasses into most dishes? Every dish we ordered had some, and it overpowered all the flavours. Portions are small, and prices are high for the amount served. Service was bad, three of us had to wait for a long time and were not served at the same time. Ordered their bread, and I had to ask for it after a long wait. I ordered a cauliflower dish, which tasted weird and had zero flavour. If I had to rate what was bad in order, it would be service first, food, and then the prices. Only the atmosphere was nice, which is why it gets 3 stars instead of 2.

Brilliant restaurant in a handy location. Menu choices are great. Dishes are served tapas style. The food we had was excellent. One of the best meals out I’ve had in the past couple of years. Service is efficient. Nice atmosphere and decor. Would highly recommend.

You could easily miss this lovely venue! The sign outside is almost invisible and most people might think it's permanently closed. Something a bit different and really good quality. Many different flavours beautifully combined to complement each other. We had a lovely birthday celebration lunch. Just the right balance of atmosphere 'something special ' and 'relaxed' Very minor point - would have appreciated a high chair with a tray on it. We hope to come again soon

The first time that I have been here. Excellent food that tasted wonderful! There were subtle flavours which were delicious. Being Persian cuisine such flavours are not common to our tastebuds, so an excellent experience! Being based on tapas your dishes arrive over a time period allowing you to graze as they are presented. I will return!!

Went to Pistachio for Friday / Saturday lunch deal. £18 each for two mains and a side, available from 12pm to 4pm. Enjoyed all the food a lot, meatballs, crispy chicken, calamari and crispy potatoes were highlights. Friendly staff as well

Came here for an early dinner with some friends. The food is incredible. I had some vegan meatballs and feta filo pastry wraps. The flavours are well balanced, but be careful, the food comes out piping hot! I tried some of loaded hummus too, which was topped with pomegranate, really setting the dish off. I washed it down with a glass of primitivo, which was also divine. We were served by a lovely waitress who couldn't do enough. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, one I would highly recommend.

We came here on Saturday afternoon for bottomless brunch, £30 per person for 2 mains, side and bottomless wine or Prosecco. The food was delicious and more than average sized portions for tapas. Every dish we ordered was delicious and more than enough to share between 5 people. Waiter was very friendly and topping our drinks up before we had asked. Its a shame it wasn’t busier as the food was delicious and the service 5* Definitely value for money and much more on the menu we would go back again to try! Thanks for great food and service!

Flavoursome Persian Food! We dined as a work group and really enjoyed the array of choice and could share and taste the variety of the menu which was delicious, thoughtful and well put together. the atmosphere was nice and gratifying, plus the staff were lovely Big thanks to Isabelle and Grey who looked after us dearly... definitely will be back.

Such amazing staff! Came here last night for a friends birthday dinner and they were so accommodating! Shout out to the bartender with glasses wearing all black she is amazing if you get served by her you’re going to enjoy your night! So lovely and kind

I visited this restaurant about a year ago with a friend, I can remember I was blown away by the amazing flavours of the gorgeous food. I was put off going back only by the fact there is no ventilation and everything you are wearing smells of cooking/oil. Last night my husband and I were in Sherwood and I couldn’t resist trying it again, hoping this issue had now been resolved, once again amazing food, lovely staff but our eyes were stinging with the lingering smell and smoky atmosphere, we walked home to Mapperley but our jackets are hung outside this morning and clothes in the washer. Probably the best tasting food anywhere, let down by no extraction of cooking fumes.

We visited for the first time today , friendly staff ,a lovely little restaurant. The food was excellent , fish and meat perfectly cooked, salads fresh ,all together a great experience, we would definitely recommend and visit again

Food was okay, but nothing was special. We went for the valentine’s day menu. In my view, this was a bit overpriced for the taste and portions of the food served. The olives salad was good though. The desserts (pomegranate cheesecake and the brownie) we quite delicious.

Food was gorgeous, loads of vegan and vegetarian options and the lunch deal made it a really fair price. Good atmosphere, but a little chilly inside the restaurant. (Tip: you pay for the water here and definitely order double the amount of Persian bread).

Amazing.... food is amazing, just be aware that most dishes contain nuts as they are sprinkled on top... I was that impressed I have booked the brunch deal for myself and 2 friends

Dinner Pistachio Sherwood Picky Persian Plates. If you fancy something very tasty and a bit different to the norm, you can't go wrong here. Especially when they have a 30% off food offer Tuesday's, Wednesday's & Thursday's. We chose several dishes and just about completed the menu now. Shah Prawns. Shallots,garlic & green beans Harrisa Rose crispy Chicken Spicy Chorizo in Port Sumac & garlic fries The largest Padron peppers ever. The most tender of fillet beef served on crunchy slaw. They've also created a new bar above the restaurant which they call The Loft open at the weekends. Serving 2 for 1 cocktails at certain times. Review helpful like 👍 follow thanks

We go to Pistachios on a regular basis. The food is excellent, the staff are great and so is the atmosphere. What more do you want, well worth a visit.

Lunch Pistachio Sherwood Family run Persian Restaurant We've just about been everywhere there is to scoff in Sherwood. Having been past many times it always seems very busy. We saw they were doing a weekend lunchtime special deal. Two dishes and a side for £15.95 So this was the ideal time to try it. There was lots to choose from and we were guided by the lovely friendly staff on what to order. Favourite dishes were the Chorizo in Port sauce with some nice fresh bread to soak all the juices up. With the Meatballs you have a choice of three different sauces. Couldn't decide on which one,so the chef kindly served us two different ones. Sour Cherry & Garlicky roasted tomato. They were both very tasty and still can't decide. There was also a special dish of Calamari so we had to have that. All the dishes were delicious and if you like tapas style where you can share and try a bit of everything this is worth a visit. Review helpful like 👍 follow thanks

One of the best meals I've ever had! Such a variety of interesting flavours. We got the lunch deal, £16.95 pp, two dishes and a side each. Highly recommend, especially the corn ribs, cauliflower 'wings' and harissa chicken. The pomegranate sauce was incredible. We also had the baklava which was great, probably even better if we had ordered some tea with it as it is quite sweet. Will be going again some day to try the other dishes and pomegranate cheesecake! Two of us arrived at opening time to a dimly lit and as expected, empty restaurant. The server greeted us, and asked the questions he needed to (food/drink order, payment). However, we didn't receive a check-back at any point. Here is our summary of the food: Lime, sumac hummus - watery, lacking in flavour (my homemade version is far superior). Cauliflower bites - overdone (black on the edges), sodden with oil, swimming in a sauce with the consistency of water. Am I missing something, why deep fry to submerge them in a liquid? I could not eat these and they were returned to the kitchen. (The Nuthall Gastro-Pub does the most amazing cauliflower bites). Prawns - These were okay, nothing special. Persian bread - I'm glad it was warm but it was just white chunks of a seeded loaf. My partner's meal: Red pepper dip - flavoursome, but it was more like a soup. Butternut squash - decent. Corn ribs - these were excellent. Most of my dishes needed salt but this wasn't provided on the table. A second server arrived towards the end of our meal, and both were engrossed in a lengthy conversation so we were forgotten with dirty plates on our table. Eventually, I needed to call over to get his attention. I left unsatisfied and hungry after only eating bread, prawns and few bites of hummus. This is on our doorstep but I definitely won't return.

Top quality fresh fragrant food, absolutely delicious my second visit perfect portion sizes all diets catered for well done guys. Loved the artichoke, spinach and cheese dip with warm GF bread the nicest we’ve ever tasted and the fillet beef was cooked beautifully. The hosts and front of house are fantastic and looked awesome in their Halloween costumes well done 👏💥.

Heard great things about Pistachio so wanted to give it a try. Not an expansive menu but a few meat, veggie and gluten free options. The meal consists of lots of small sharing/dipping plates that you eat with fresh toasted bread. The cheese dip was delicious and wings were good. Some very similar flavours across some of the other dishes though and the meatballs were small and disappointing. Also, avoid the duck. Perhaps the smallest sliver of meat sitting among lot of beans. Considering that dish alone was almost 12 quid, we felt a bit cheated. Overall, tasty but over priced and not enough variation to keep us coming back.

Servers were a bit inattentive. 2 different people came up and offered alcoholic drinks, we respectfully declined as recovering alcoholics but wanted to try moctails later so asked to leave the drinks menu, which was taken by another server 10 min later. I don't get the obsession of taking away menus in an empty restaurant. At the start of the interaction felt judged for not ordering alcohol, after experiencing the food and service it's obvious they heavily rely on customers getting drunk and ordering loads of "tapa style dishes", to make their money. The food wasn't anything special , hot dishes were microwaved to the point you could not eat them for 10 min after it arrived.Has vegan options. Hummus wasn't good.

Nice atmosphere, food is OK. Really small portion. Was disappointed to be charged £12 for 4 small piece of beef, all dishes was bulked up with lots of salad leaves underneath the hot food which makes it not edible anyway.

This place is special. Family run, well thought out menu with amazing flavour combinations. The hummus is amazing and smooth, rose harissa chicken, green beans, heck even the french fries are full of flavour with an amazing spice rub. I’ve been twice and both times the food was excellent. Go, you won’t be disappointed!

This is now my fave place to eat, 2nd time here and the flavours in the food are fsntastic. Had different dishes from last time which is a tuff choice as i knew how tasty everything was ladt visit. Not a worry as everything we ate was fantastic again. Being vegan pistachio really does have alot to offer..the one near sneinton market is also stunning..my favourite places to eat...😋😋

A great little find in Sherwood. A tapas style eatery with friendly and helpful staff. We had a variety of dishes but our favourites were either vegan or veggie. Sadly, the meat dishes we tried were too sweet, for someone who doesn't have sugar, it was a bit overpowering. By far our favourite dish was the smoked aubergine, followed closely by the halloumi and the cauliflower dishes. We will go again, but eat less and keep veggie. Be sure you like pomegranate, it's in everything!

The food here was incredible. Each dish was very different but tasted amazing. There were lots of options for everyone and my vegetarian partner enjoyed her price. The prices were incredibly reasonable £35 pp it came to including a bottle of wine. Staff were very good as well. I wholeheartedly recommend Pistachio.

Delicious!!! Best tapas I’ve ever eaten! So nice, bit pricey if you’re only two people but if you’re more than 2 it’s 100% worth it! I will be returning! Great service as well, the owner was very nice. Loved it!

Well, I wasn’t expecting that!! Decided to eat here off the cuff, welcoming staff, lovely interior and most importantly fantastic food. We fell in love with the corn ribs and the yogurt and feta dip but from what we tried, you can’t go wrong. Definitely coming back, thanks Pistachio, a very welcome restaurant to the growing Sherwood foodie scene.

Great ambience and promising menu, but fails to deliver great food. We ordered a range of their Persian tapas dishes, but found that everything tasted pretty much the same. Difficult to distinguish between cauliflower wings, beef meatballs or halloumi bites when all of it is covered in the same sticky and overly sweet pomegranate sauce and seeds. Every dish was distinctly lacking in seasoning. Service was pleasant enough but harried. We asked three times for water for the table before getting any more than an hour into our stay. Overall, a really enticing menu that fails to deliver real Persian variety, and comes at a relatively hefty price tag.

Had a fabulous night here with my better half last week. We really enjoyed sharing the smokey augbergine and red pepper dip. The ambience of the restaurant was romantic and sophisticated. We will definitely be back here for date night!

Great food and atmosphere, we enjoyed almost everything we tried. The fries with sumac were a particular favourite. The waiter's estimate of "2-3 tapas per person" was probably optimistic. 2 would have been fine, and the chicken wings could have been crisper. Apart from these minor quibbles, really happy. Will certainly be going back. And have the marinated olives. OMG! A :-)
