Owner is a bit stingy however food is always delicious!

What a joke. Shows open on Google, just got here on Friday at 7 pm after a one hour journey and it is closed. Pathetic!

Avoid this place or you’d be risking your life, food poisoning is something the restaurant doesn’t have in their dictionary, I went with my friends and we all ended up sick shortly after, the staff are rude and very unhelpful, highly suggest that this place is avoided.

3/10 - chicken was dry, foods not the best. Need to half there prices with the quality of the food they’re providing. Service is not great, and prices are not either. I recommend go to royal peri peri or peri desi instead. Wait time was too long. Then the food came and was disappointing & the waitress picked her nose and flicked it across the place. G R O S S.

It is concerning that customers are being charged for the air they breathe and that customer service is inadequate. The quality of food is below average and the portions are small.

Food was good.. wings were on point. Bit disappointing to hear they don't offer tap water... sounds a bit money driven and charging for sauces.

Went here for evening meal The food was lovely but the lady waitress was so cold She stood at front watching everyone but never once smiled I usualy go frangos must say id rather go there as this place felt a bit tight But food was yum

Dry half chicken, friendly waiter

This is probably the worst food i've ever tasted had to throw it away and eat something from home, no taste on anything, i was wondering why it was empty, now i know and hopefully by reading this you won't have to find out by yourselves.

Great service and lovely food makes me want to go back all the time although 40 mins away from my home.

Sad excuse for a restaurant. Mostly empty due to poor food. Burnt dry chicken. Had to request for plates. Lady waiter perhaps owners relative needs to improve customer relations. Avoid and eat from a better establishment. Not recommended

2 stars as food was average nothing special. The waitress hardly understood any English. Could hear the woman shouting from kitchen. Food was kind of bland to be honest and sauce didn't have that much flavour. I'd stick to Pepe's or nandos. They should also have a spice option from very hot to medium for people to choose from.

Hello friends . The first time I'm going to dine at this place. As you can see, I was surprised by the bad food that this only tasted a little. I didn't like it at all. The sauce is horrible. The meat doesn't even have any flavor. I left the food as it is, and Cameron didn't care. If you eat it good or bad. He didn't even bother to ask. What mattered to them in money they only charged me in full. as you see on the tickets. I will never return to this place. I won't recommend anyone to go either. I don't like the food, that's why there are no people in this place.

Since his son has taken over its gone down hill, the food quality is really nasty, no customer service at all in this place, very small portions, been going there for years when his dad was running it, i won't be going there nor my friends, let's see how long this place last

Old school Piri restaurant in Oldham. Food is generally good but it's over priced. The restaurant is small, so can feel over crowded if a few tables are occupied.

Arrived in to restaurant not greeted by waiter. Waiter looked like she was forced to stand at the back of the restaurant. Ordered chicken steaks which were absolutely over cooked and like paper slices. The veg was frozen and they had the urge to charge for a table spoon of mayo for £1.00 and £3.00 for water. Absolute rip off !

Food was below average. Dry peri chicken, which is a shame as it's supposed to be their specialty.

Been travelling to Piri Piri for sometime now & it’s definitely worth the drive out. Great flavours coupled with top service. Go check it out xx

The food was fresh and delicious and the sauce they serve it in is one of the best I have tasted, service is nice and polite and quick.

Food is next level defo worth the money

It's a glorified takeaway tbh. We had a platter of double chicken leg, beef steak (which is a thin strip like a doner) rice and chips. We went for the spicy hot option, which really is that. The chicken pieces were very small, and the strip was thin. The only saving grace is the flavour. 1 starter, 2 drinks, 2 platters £56. Not great value for money.

Gone downhill in the last few years. Chicken extremely dry, portion sizes for starters ridiculously small and overall very poor value for money.

Their offer is still sort of okay but the price has gone up significantly. Which I believe the cost of living prices is not matched as they are charging more. This I believe is greed rather than justification to cost of living as that price has remained for over a few months. If they was to increase it now then at least it would have been more justifies in August 2022. So to me the greed is not worth the dine in for me and I will no longer go their.

Really bad quality food and extremely expensive for potion and the quality of food. I am sure they use all frozen meat I am sure when customer order they defrost and cook really bad small I can't believe this kind of restaurant still exists. Halloumi fries we order the size of halloumi are smaller than chips total 5 finger size halloumi for £4.49. Bread roll just cheap small buguett for £1.50 each they just buy from cheapest baguette cut and spread little butter unbeatable.We order jumbo mix sizzler very very small potion beef stake and chicken stake inside sizzler not stake just strip of chicken and very thin beef slice two lamb chops they didn't have prawns in stock so they put small slice of chicken 😀. AVoid this place if you want to enjoy your food I am sure a lot of good places in that area.

Food was good usual. They need to serve bigger Chickens as sometimes there very small. Definitely need to brighten the place as its very dark.

Small portions over priced and the wait is incredibly long. Oh and not to mention they forget the chicken wings so a further 30 minutes wait occurred. The food tastes good but the chap seems clueless

This used to be the best place for piri piri but recently it's a hit and miss. Not that old-school taste and abit pricey for what it it. One to try and knock of the list.

Can't fault it really, it's not Nando's but a good cheaper alternative. The African ambience is spot-on with African artwork and Afrobeat music playing in the background. Friendly service and decent food. The 1-star reviews seem malicious and fake to me.

Awful customer service from a fat young chap. Felt like he was doing us a favour coming to his establishment. Horrible attitude. The food was stale and awful. The size of the wings were like the size of a baby’s hand. Literally nothing to eat on them. I honestly felt I made a mistake and should have walked away when the fat chap was giving us the terrible service. Never again, never in a million years!!

Food was ok, like a soggy nandos but the service really let us down. Rude waitress kept bringing us kitchen roll when we asked for tissues ( i showed her what i wanted) and chucking it on the table. She was also very lazy and passive aggressive. They dont even give u the option to customise your meal at all (lazy staff).

Order Frango and there was no taste waste of time and money I will say third class

I ordered Frangos whole chicken, rice and chips. I waited 45 minutes for my order ‐ only to get undercooked chicken and a tiny portion of rice that turned out to be poorly cooked too. Very disappointed to say the least.

The food was very cold when served, and this rude women did not want to refund our money... all the food went in to the trash.... i will never return here again

Food was ok, we ordered a Frango and a sizzler. It didnt blow us away, we went on recommendation. Very cold inside, we could see a heater it wasnt switched on. Other customers mentioned too about the cold but nothing was done about it. No toilets just hand washing facilities.

What a horrible place, unclean, waiting times over 90 mins, the "secret sauce" was soupy & distasteful. Awful experience, the beef was thin & stringy, the mash was made from powder, tables were unclean,one of the plates I was served in was chipped, no option to pay by card.. The most horrible place, awful and rude customer service, I read other reviews before going and realised they must be fake.

Was very disappointed with the service i received. I came from leeds to oldham to try the food as a recommendation however i was told they were shut at 11pm when the website states 1am!!!! Not happy at all!!!!

Amazing fresh cooked food, couldn't remember tasting anything as good as the steak I had. The staff were very welcoming and kind. Ended up going again just two days later.

Been coming here for 20years and still the original peri peri up north. Well done husband and wife team. Beef steak is a must try.

Went with a large party. We got given dirty menus to choose our meals from. The tables weren't clean. Everyone got their food on time (within 20 mins of ordering) whereas myself and my husband waited 45 mins for our food to arrive. There was only 1 waiter, a young lad being made to do all the running around. There was another man behind the counter who just stood there and didn't help. He just took the money! You say you're a family run business but there was no unity between the staff at all. We even heard an argument between a lady and man in the kitchen. It was as if I was sitting in an episode of Kitchen Nightmares!!! The food was a bit on the salty side and definitely too spicy. Don't think I'll be visiting this place again. Not great value for money. The only positive I can say is that they had nice home made bread buns. Everything else was mediocre at best. The rice was soggy and so were the chips. We had to ask for plates and weren't given any glasses to drink out of. It was just unorganised. Bit disappointed to be honest seeing as we drove almost an hour from home and this place was recommended to us ... for great service and high food quality.... this visit didn't meet our expectations I'm afraid.

The food came quickly and the service was good. The whole family enjoyed the meal. We asked to do our salah and very quickly a place was prepared for us.

The half lamb with vegetables was really nice. Really nice sauce to go with it. Highly recommended.

Food is always consistently great. Bit expensive. U do have to wait for the food too long even when quiet. Not the nicest decor inside. Its only the food that keeps this place going.

The restaurant is located in what appears from the outside to be a suburban part of Greater Manchester. Inside, the perfection begins. The room is beautiful and the service is outstanding. 5 dishes over 3 hours paced perfectly so you really never felt stuffed. Each course was better than the previous one especially the prawns!

Food is good but very poor service. I don't fault the staff member as he has to follow orders from his boss. It is always cold in there and that is against Health and Safety Law. We were a group of 5 on 5th January 2019 seared near the counter. As it was cold my wife asked if the heating could be turned on but all they have is a fan to warm a restaurant 15 metres long 🤨🤨. Given that the Piri Piri Grill say that they have been running for 30 years and for the prices they charge of £10.00, fair enough can they not afford the heating? I would give them 3 or 4 stars but they have poor service and everyone in my group were cold. To add insult, we asked for fresh lemon but was told you have to pay. Disappointing and a shame as I would go more often if service was up to scratch.

Chicken burger was awful no spice boiled in oil not grilled just bread with chicken mayo tree drops 😒

Absolutely appalled at the service provided! The owener was very disrespectful towards me- told me not to use my phone. very arrogant. The food was bland. Would not recommend anyone to this place.

Wow, the prawns are sensational . Worth the wait. If you want proper piri piri then come to this place. A word of warning though be prepared to wait as all food is cooked fresh to order, great food takes time. Will be back for sure.

Waiting times are a disgrace and the food was disgusting. I am not coming here again and I would recommend that people should not even think about wasting their time here.

I usually go to PiriDesi but when I went there the food was taking so long!

Used to love this food travel very far for it but wouldn't waste my time going there again I've gave them 3 chances after 1st time messed up chickens gone smaller over the years coleslaw has changed like someone's puked in it only good thing there is the soup and bread rolls which they messed up on that to like they collected all left overs what people ate and put it in ours it was awful and cold and the chicken use to be fresh now it's like processed rubber

The best piri piri chicken. But you need to know a few things about the food and place. Its a place run by a couple which usually get everything ready after you place the order which then means it takes sometime to get the good. Now off course there is no match for the fresh ingredients but if you are in a rush, probably its best to choose another place. I would also like to mention that its a traditional recipe place and its cooked in a style which is from the olden age. So if you fancy golden looking processed chicken which is actually steamed and only grilled for a few mins then this place is probably not for u. I have tried to be as honest and brief as possible to help anyone decide.

Service is dreadful and the food was burnt. The lady who owend the place refused to accept the food was burnt, bland and said it was fine and then started showing other customers while they were eating to try our burnt food. Has no manners or considertion of customers. Truly dreadful experience and did not refund anything instead told us to leave. I would recommend going to peri desi or royal peri instead. This place is never busy due to the owners being rude and having terrible service. Only ever went there because there was never a wait time.

Awesome place. Owner is extremely polite and friendly. Nice place to come on a Friday night with the boys. The frango and the bread dippers are the winners.
