My wife had soup, and a cheese scone, looked really taste. I had some Vietnamese creation, basically chicken noodle soup. A lot of noodle, with onion and small slices of chicken. Only had one bit of 🌶. 🥵 I knew what is was, so stayed safe

Never been in that cafe but really would love to give a visit , all of this food and cakes here looks so delicious I would love to try it 😍 , all best wishes and success from Coffee palette 🖐🏻

Great place for a family lunch. Food not 5* but very well priced.

Went in Sunday dinnertime, pot of tea and Ploughmans. Tea was good (as expected), the Ploughmans was excellent (possibly the best meal I've had there). Three cheeses, apple, cheese scone, brown bread, proper butter and some salad. Good value for money, highly recommended. Will return, if only for the Ploughmans....

Excellent food!! Menu is very diverse including food from around the world! Staff are lovely and happy to change orders to suit people's desires!! Dog friendly!! Proces are good, sometimes busy but worth the wait

I'm always curious when small cafes try to do more than quick bites. So I had to come and try some of the Vietnamese Fusion Dishes on offer that were "Made to order by our very own Vietnamese chef with fresh ingredients from traditional family recipes". Vietnamese Noodle Salad, Chicken- 10.5 5/5 ⭐ It is a light and refreshing vermicelli rice noodle salad in a tangy Vietnamese chilli & garlic dressing with fresh veg. It is filling and the dressing has a very nice flavour and spice blend. Banh Mi - 10.5 3/5 ⭐ Asian-style baguette with sliced chicken breast, chilli sauce, cucumber, coriander, spring onions and a carrot & radish kimchi slaw, in a crunchy baguette. Nothing too special just a baguette with a different sauce added but still a very filling meal, so a nice meal if you wanted to try something a little different. Fresh Vietnamese chicken Spring Rolls - 10.5 5/5⭐ Homemade rice paper rolls, packed with light vermicelli noodles, carrots, cucumber spring onion and lettuce. Served with herbs and a hoisin peanut chilli dipping sauce. Love the sauce and it's a fresh, light meal. Oat Chai Latte 5/5⭐

A very nice garden centre coffee shop selling hot food (panini's, full English etc). Very pleasant and efficient young staff. Great for a Sunday treat.

Visited the nursery and cafe for the first time last weekend and really enjoyed our visit. The cafe was busy so we sat outside in the lovely outdoor area. Food and coffee was lovely and the staff was friendly and helpful. We didn't have cakes as we was full from lunch but they looked so delicious so will be heading back to try those soon. Would definitely recommend trying if you haven't already.

Just love this place we visit most sundays when we can. Food and plants are very good a great place to visit. Also pets are welcome.

Can get bit busy at peak times, but the panini was delicious- worth the wait! The waitress was bit grumpy complaining about having to get the order to the furthest table- I guess everyone can have a bad day, especially when working in service… but there is no need to put the blame on the customers.

Not a lot different from any café attached to a nursery Clean and tidy. Staff were efficient though there did seem to be more than were necessary given how many customers there were

Lovely cafe within the garden centre. Great menu with lots of cakes as well as sandwiches and daily specials. Lots of seating inside and out. Level access, toilets, lovely staff, very popular. Repeat customer.

Lovely little place. The cheese toasty I ordered for my son was exceptional value and the salad looked like it had just been cut there and then, there was no wilting at all. Plenty of parking too, I highly recommend visiting if you're in the area and peckish. My only little feedback would be to cut the sausage in half so the customer doesn't have to.

We have only just found this Nursery/Cafe and have been just twice. On both occasions we were hassled for our tea pot/ cups etc. when we had clearly NOT FINISHED!! Never has this happened before anywhere else. The nursery itself has a very good selection of plants and acer trees etc.

First time going, was really busy but it was sunny so plenty of room outside, cakes were very tasty, but I'd finished by the time my coffee arrived, nevertheless the servers were very friendly and the options available were excellent. Parking was tricky as it was busy, however I will definitely be going back

Lovely place, great service and food but can be quite noisy at times and difficult to find a table inside sometimes.

Lost count of the times I’ve been here and the service never fails. Sometimes quite busy and a wait for table but I can’t remember ever having to wait more than 10-15 minutes and the servers are always helpful in finding you somewhere to sit. Never had a bad meal here and the cakes are always amazing.

An outstandingly enjoyable, popular meeting point serving very delicious, freshly cooked food served by hard-working, attentive staff. There was no pressure to move on when food was enjoyed, and my visit was topped off with some purchases of quality plants too!

Part of the colliers garden centre .ok but little small ,have outdoor seating though for summer.

Visited twice, poor service twice, wrong food arrived, staff response was awful to say least. Visited again and food was cold, was reheated despite myself commenting this to staff. Poor management response, saying that they look into it, did not feel resured by the management response, I guess staff lead by management response. Won't be visiting again 😕

Perfect little cafe for a coffee, handmade cakes or breakfast. We're into healthy eating so eat real food/low carb and the folks at Piptree were more than happy for us to ditch the beans, bread and potatoes for extra egg. (Not everywhere is this accomodating.) Great atmosphere, lovely staff, couldn't recommend it more highly.

Great cafe right next to quite big garden centre. Ordering process was very quick and handy- used QR code in the menu, food came out after 15 mins. Good selection of drinks, breakfast options and brunch. Atmosphere was good but very loud. I guess it’s personal preference.

Lovely atmosphere, good service. We came on a weekend and it was very busy, I recommend aiming for a relatively prompt lunch to beat the queue. I had the best Brie & Bacon pannini I have ever had.

Great food, excellent fast service. Food lost a star due to the tiny portion of bacon I paid £1.50 for to have with my scrambled egg

The food was really good - we had panini's (brie & bacon, and Stilton & cranberry) as well as coffee and cake. They have loads of freshly baked cakes & brownies to choose from. The coffee was great too, with all the options you could want, decaf, a variety of non-dairy milk, sugar-free syrup etc. The only reason I dropped a star from atmosphere is because people were regularly using the door next to our table, which caused any paper or napkin on our table to be blown off the table. You can also order from your table via their website, which is super convenient and works well. I really recommend as a lovely place for breakfast, lunch, or afternoon tea.

At least once most weeks we sit any enjoy what's probable THE BEST coffee in Derbyshire at Piptree Cafe. The outdoor space they've created within Collyers Nurseries is really lovely. There's somewhere to sit and relax whatever the weather, surrounded by gorgeous plants and flowers. After surgery in September we met up with friends on several occasions who all agreed it was a brilliant venue, and the increasingly helpful staff regularly went out of their way to help me get comfy. Visits to Piptree definitely helped my recuperation! Can't comment on the food, though it looks scrummy, but the extra hot cappuccinos and americanos are fab! Thank you Piptree, see you soon xx

Lovely just out of the oven cheese scone with butter and a cuppa for half term treat. Very reasonably priced. Dogs allowed.

Absolutely wonderful experience! We had the Scandi breakfast followed by lemon/blueberry cake and pumpkin spice blondie as a treat! Freshly prepared and richly flavored. As we don't have a similar experience in the States this was a new and enjoyable time. Thank you!

Nice coffee,lovely setting especially in nice weather as have a lovely decking area. Cakes very expensive though,£4.50 for a slice,ordered the Biscoff and it was very dissapointing,tasted bland and just like a plain sponge cake,also a very small slice for the price,wont be having it again. The food prices are expensive as £6.95 for 2 slices of cheese on toast.

I'm Coeliac. With cross contamination I am no longer able to have drinks made with steam wand. Lots of lovely looking cakes however only 1 choice of gluten free cake.

Moved recently to Borrowash I was looking for a place where takes English breakfast and was surprise to have one so great at the corner of my place. The cakes look so good. Next time will take some.

Hottest day of the year (my early September birthday) and this place is so popular we initially couldn't find a seat. I was reluctant to sit under their colourful 'poly tunnel ' because of the heat but spotted a table with my new age (69) on it and took it to be a good omen. Wonderful iced latte served by very cheerful male staff and we had a brilliant relaxing time before choosing some gorgeous plants to take home. Absolutely our favourite place to have a relaxing catch up in gorgeous surroundings ~ never fails to excite us!

Lovely spot for breakfast and coffee. (200° coffee yummy! Even the decaf has a strong taste!) Dog friendly inside too!

Really lovely cafe and outside is great for us doggie owners. The poly tunnel area is lovely and warm . Many outside areas . Love it . A new favourite. Just note it's closed on Mondays, I didn't realise and bought my family along to show them with the promise of lunch and closed on Monday/BH. Really good clean toilets also .

Very disappointed as I mentioned to plate clearer that my salad wasn’t fresh but on slimey side & therefore I hadn’t eaten it. She looked at it & immediately offered compensation (which was not the reason I mentioned it, I just wanted them to know something had gone a little wrong). She sent manager over who said she’d go look at it. She never came back. So I approached her on way out to be told she hadn’t seen mine but the rest of the salad in the kitchen was ok, thus inferring I was making it up! Always been happy before but in trying to report a problem I was treated very poorly. Not the way to treat customers!

I took my uncle Terry for a cuppa as he'd never been to Pip Tree before. We had a lovely pot of tea and I had a fruit scone with Rodda's cornish clotted cream and jam. My daughter had a bottle of raspberry Lemonade and a brownie which she said was gorgeous. Good atmosphere in the tunnel greenhouse too. A nice treat for anyone who likes plants 🪴 coffee and cake 🎂

Such a lovely café, very well run and friendly, helpful staff. The food is great, you can tell the ingredients are quality and vegan and vegetarian choices too. I've never had a bad experience here and would recommend Piptree to everyone.

Cyclist friendly! Plenty of space to leave the bikes and the cafe and food is very efficient and fast. Good selection of cakes too.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Lovely food and cake. Nice walk around afterwards. The queue was quite long but you can order using the website via qr code. However, you can't quite order cake slice on the app. Ordering online is so much quicker than the queue Gluten free options available

Each time I have been in the café we have had to sit outside the noise is awful we found we had to shout to have a conversation , couldn't hear what the staff were saying . It must be the low ceiling

Excellent 75th birthday meal with the family. Although very busy the service was brilliant.
