Wonderful cosy snack bar, with all sorts of cooked food and cold snacks. Hearty breakfasts and other meals. A great range of sandwiches, rolls and pastries, especially the amazing home-made rock cakes. Excellent quality coffee and always a warm friendly welcome from the staff. An old fashioned establishment that will be sorely missed if it has to fold.

One of the best breakfast places I’ve ever went to had amazing food, and the waiter was so nice and restaurant is open six days of the week. Plus for four of us it was around 30 to 35 pounds for a whole meal for us all.

For over 40 years, serving freshly cooked food, amazing rock cakes, great coffee, wonderful filled rolls & snacks. Small but cute premises close to Blackfriars station, St Paul's Cathedral, Tate Modern, Mermaid theatre & some of London's oldest churches & graveyards. Lovely friendly staff. Can't speak highly enough of this independent cafe, which needs our support in these tough times.

This place seems to do everything well! Nipped in and had a bacon and egg sandwich with a mug of tea. While I was in there it was non stop orders for take away breakfast. It’s cooked as you order.

Piccolo Bar is tucked away in a tiny unit on Queen Victoria St, just past the Church of Scientology. Despite its minute size, its always busy with taxi drivers, tourists and city workers alike. You might have trouble squeezing in- only a few bar stools inside and little standing space, and a couple of tables outside. They have a massive selection of pasta, sandwiches, cakes plus breakfasts, curry and various other hot options. I've just had a meat pasta- the portion was massive, easily enough for two, served piping hot, with plenty of meat and well cooked pasta. The coffee is OK, not as good as the food but not bad either, and the prices are amazingly cheap for Central London! Friendly service too. I'll be back many times I'm sure, and definitely recommend Piccolo Bar.

It's never going to be trendy dining in here , it's an old school cafe that does classic food and cakes . Good for a full English breakfast to eat in or for a takeaway bacon or sausage sandwich . They also do home made lasagne etc . Everything is made fresh to order and prices are pretty good. It's very popular with London cab drivers , there's always a long line of them parked up outside in Queen Victoria Street which must prove something .

I get the best fresh made roll here for work, much better and fresher than all the other chain restaurants around. The staff are really friendly and honest. I gave a twenty pound note for a roll and rushed out without taking my change. When I went in there 2 days later I didn't think anyone would remember me or what money I had given them. The man who served me was smiling, and handed me a plastic bag with all my change I had left the other day! How honest is that!!

My husband always used the Piccolo Bar for lunch when working in the area 20 years ago. Whenever we are in that part of London we continue to revisit. It is good to still find a venue that has retained its own identity. The service is welcoming and efficient. Food is traditional and comforting. Very good value for London.

Went here for a quick coffee this morning. The coffee was terrible, it tasted burnt and was served in a nasty polystyrene cup. Avoid.

Had a toasted ciabatta chicken escolope and salad sandwich. Rather dry bread and the chicken was so flat i had to look for it inbetween the coated bread crumbs. Not much filling at all. Only tomato and cucumber as optional salad, more variety would of...

It all looks OK but service is poor and the bar food served is cheap frozen food at prices that should require a far better quality. There are far better options in London

I used to love this place, but haven't been for nearly 10 years. I'm glad to see it hasn't changed too much, but with the downside that it is now apparently owned by BrewDog. Luckily, it appears they let them continue without having to follow the "taproom by numbers" you get out of most BrewDog bars, so not only does it have it's own look, but there is a much more interesting selection of beers. It was easy enough to get a seat on a Saturday afternoon, which is always a bonus in a decent location like this.

Absolutamente basura. Fui y me senté.
