Can't deny this bakery bakes and sells delicious fayre......but possibly a re-think on good hygiene practices. All goods are handled with bare hands and the couple of times we've been in did not see any hand washing being done. The tray bake counter did have tongs but weren't used. I dread to think of cash being handled in amongst all this. Have been in other bakeries where head coverings, tongs and disposable gloves appear to be mandatory.

We tend to pop in when we’re in the area. The cakes and treats are very pleasant, croissants good; service polite and efficient.

This is a wee gem of a bakery. I pop in as often as I can. Their bread and rolls/butteries are some the best locally. I partucularly love their sourdough bread, best I've tasted!

Foccacia is very lovely. Always buy two portions. Always freshly made, last for 3 days without being hard. Although I have to admit 2 big generous portions are finished within 3 days.

Ok. The food is very nice if a bit overpriced, but the worst thing was the lady serving acted like she was doing us a favour just being there. Needs improvement.

Wonderful variety of freshly baked breads, pastries, sandwiches, and soups. Had a freshly made ham and butter filled roll that I enjoyed much although the ham could’ve been less salty for my taste. Still definitely a great place to stop by for breakfast and lunch, either in their cafe or as carry out

A friend and I found this spot on the way back to Alford from Glasgow. We stopped in expecting the normal cafe style food. Boy were we wrong! We both had the unpretentious sounding ham, egg and tatties. What we got was perfectly cooked pork belly. Crispy and creamy pomme anna, a stunning apple and radish roumalade and the most delicious hollandaise foam. It was amazing. Everything on the plate married beautifully together and left us replete with forest flavours chasing around our mouths. The staff are just lovely. Welcoming and warm. And the cafe itself is a great place to kick back and relax. We can’t recommend this enough. PS. I bought my husband here two days later and he was equally impressed.

Great food, steak and fish cooked to perfection, served with really good chips. Went for deserts too, which we don’t normally go for, butter tablet ice cream hit the spot.
