Pho cue serves Vietnamese cuisine in the bylanes of Manchester Chinatown. We tried the Vietnamese cold coffee which was average. Vietnamese summer rolls were okayish but enjoyed their Banh Mi.

I’ve been here a few times now and every time I go to Manchester, this is a must visit. I’d highly recommend the salt and chilli chips here, they are completely different to anything you’ve had before. The food is consistently fresh and tastes out of this world. A special shout out to Sarah who made the experience even better with her banter! Considering how popular it is, and the quality of the food, it’s also reasonably priced. We had a table full of small plates Including soft shell crab, king prawns etc, and veggie starter and bun bowl and our bill was only £18 each per head including drinks.

Its a good Vietnamese restaurant, we tried their egg fried rice and chicken katsu with rice.. the chicken katsu curry was spicy. If someone likes spicy food its recommended for them. Taste wise, it is 7/10 , the egg fried rice 7.5/10 .. It was quite crowded and full house. People were standing in a queue to get a seat .. so service was quite hectic for them as they had a lot to cater to but their service was really good. Food portion was generous, easily can be shared between 2 people. Chicken was halal.

Had to queue outside but was quickly seated. The Vietnamese beef papaya salad was delicious and tangy, with fresh marinated beef, so flavourful. The chicken pho on the other hand was a little bit of a let down, with a lack of seasoning? The broth was quite plain and lacklustre in any flavour. Overall, food was served fairly quickly and service was good, reasonable prices too Thanks!

If you are from Asia or often try Asian cuisine, you will be able to tell the difference between the original soup and the soup prepared with MSG (monosodium glutamate). The pho from this restaurant is definitely the latter, because after tasting the soup, your tongue will feel numb and you will feel thirsty and crave for water. And the roasted duck part is also cut from various scraps (duck butt) and overcooked. Therefore not recommended.

We visited on our last day in manchester and wished I'd visited sooner so i can squeeze another visit before leaving! Staff were attentive, food was fantastic, even though it was busy the food arrived quickly. My only regret is making only 1 visit to this place on my trip. Arrived with partner and 2x kids (6yo). Seated quickly. Had 2x rare beef pho, beef papaya salad, pork steamed rice rolls, butter chick wings, spring rolls. Was maybe a bit too much food but we didn't regret ordering the amount we did because everything absolutely delicious. Even one of my kids who is quite a poor eater was slurping the pho and asking for more. Broth was good! So many more dishes that looked good on the menu so if we are ever down manchester again we will def be visiting. We also ordered lime sodas which we enjoyed. Oh 1 more regret! I forgot to take pics 😔🤪

The food : I've tried few Vietnamese restaurants so far, so, can't say I don't know much about it. Not saying an expert either. But know enough to understand the food is subpar! Service... Looks like two sons and a daughter were the waiting staff, lacked basic service industry essentials. Customer service was non existent and cannot rationalise the why either! Atmosphere: nice neon sign! It's a good thing there are places you can eat elsewhere that serves better and treats people! I guess this is "tạm biệt" Do better!

I have been to Pho cue twice now, traveled all the way from Sheffield and Leeds to eat here! The food was definitely great! Specially the spicy bun bo hue, flavour of the broth was great and well seasoned, huge portions! Great turnaround! Pho was definitely under seasoned not sure if this was authentic! I agree with some comments else summer rolls are definitely on the smaller side and meat on the starter can be juicier! The service we received both times here needs major improvements! First time I was here with my partner and the lady who served us just threw the table placements to the table, no smile on any of the staff and seemed to be annoyed they have customers! Assumed the service was not great the first time because they were busy! Second time we were here for my partner’s birthday with 3 other people and the restaurant was quiet. The service was the same and 3 other guests thought the same. We ended up being there after 4 with some other customers but all the servers and the staff just stopped the service ant 4 and started having their dinner on a separate table. Which was absolutely fine but we were just sat there for a while not sure of what to do. May be offer the customers to pay the bill. So they can leave after without having to wait for the restaurant staff to finish their dinner! But we will not be visiting again to be treated this way again! Great food but shame about the service! Having read the good reviews, we decided to eat here. We didn’t book a table, as we weren’t sure what time we were going to be arriving in Manchester, and so we joined the walk-ins line and waited for a little under an hour. That was be ok if the food was good, but unfortunately, it was just “ok”. The spring rolls were tasty and the pho was ok, but I’ve had tastier. The food was delivered quickly, the service was a bit surly (possibly because by the time that we were seated, we were among the last tables that they were seating in the evening. So overall, a bit disappointing really, and especially given the hype.

Ever since stumbling on their TikTok acc in December I’ve been dying to try this place. I went in late afternoon-ish and I was seated at a shared table which I expected because I was dining alone (only 2/4 were occupied when I arrived until they left and then one more person was seated at the same time as me) for starters I ordered salt & pepper squid with a gin and elderflower tonic. For mains I had marinated beef Pho with a bottle of Sauvignon blanc. Both dishes were really nice and I enjoyed each bite, the pho portion is super generous so I didn’t end up finishing it all much to my disappointment cause the broth/soup was 10/10. Overall it was a really good experience and this will definitely be my new Pho spot, service was good and everyone was really nice and polite I was served by Jay and a really nice young lady (forgot to ask for her name, I was slightly wine tipsy). From what I learnt online it’s a family run restaurant so I’ll definitely be coming back every month to try different dishes. Only suggestion would be to serve the siracha mayo on the side for the salt and pepper squid

This was unfortunately the blandest pho I’ve ever had in my life. The only thing that made it worth eating was the marinated beef that was really good. What a shame. After all the hype and buzz about Pho Cue, myself and a friend were left utterly flabbergasted at the lack of flavour. We ordered the salt and pepper chips, which were wedges of potato and had no flavour of salt and pepper at all. We also ordered the pork ribs with sweet and salty sauce, these were the best dish of the night and could have eaten a bowl of them. I ordered the Bun (Ha long bay special). I was given the wrong dish which was someone else’s and when I pointed this out they went to the other table took their bowl off them along with mine and went back to the kitchen. The waiter then came back with the same two bowls and said that they had added the missing meat to my bowl……. I didn’t want to make a fuss during a busy dinner service, but it was like they took the other persons bowl which they had starting eating from, then added the meats and gave it to me. My friend ordered the Dad’s special with lemongrass lamb chops which he said had no flavour at all of lemongrass and need more sauce for the noodles. Unfortunately the entire meal apart from the ribs and 2 bottles of Lucky Buddha was a absolute shambles and I can safely say that we felt like we wasted £50+ and would have had a better experiance at a chain restaurant.

Service was quite fast, but they’re not customer friendly. My experience with them was horrible. I felt that I was being mocked by them, whenever I asked something, the servers will look at each other and laugh. I don’t think they know that I can hear them. Terrible part was with my drink. I ordered lemon iced tea, because of its darkish color, I only noticed that there was a screw at the bottom of my glass when I was about to finish it. I called one staff and told about it, he went to the counter to tell the other staff and said “BUT SHE FINISHED IT” mind you, he was laughing, and I can hear him! I don’t want to make any drama and be a KAREN because I also work in a service industry, and I don’t have the energy, because I’m very tired from the flight. He went to me and apologized, and secretly giving me the amount I paid for the drink. But after all the mockery I felt with them. I told them no need. Guys, just a reminder, let’s always be kind with each other, whatever nationality we’re speaking to.

Not sure this place needs any more positive reviews, but they're getting one anyway! Nipped in to town to catch up with a friend who was visiting on work, quickly googled somewhere to eat near his hotel, with it being a Monday the usual spots were closed, so we figured we'd nip in here. We queued for perhaps 10-15minutes, no bother at all given how utterly ridiculously good the food was. We had the Salt & Pepper Squid, Soft Shell Crab, with a Beef Pho & a Duck Pho, some pork summer rolls, and whilst eating realised we couldn't pass up on getting some Sweet & Spicy Wings - often a mistake to order extra food mid-meal, but this was most definitely not. Absolutely blown away by the food, the speed of service, and hospitality. All food nice and clean, healthy - good selection of drinks, Honey & Ginger Tea outstanding. Very very much recommend - and will definitely be back. Queued for 15mins, in the restaurant for an hour maximum - all courses, not rushed.

After being given a dirty glass (it happens not that big of an issue) I asked the server for a new one, he went over the bar, the woman on the bar at this looked somewhat annoyed, got a new glass and poured the contents of the dirty glass into the new glass and gave to the server to bring back, I was sat in perfect view of the bar so saw exactly what happened. This is beyond unacceptable regardless of the food, this is very disappointing and very unhygienic, food was good so this is a shame so I won’t be going back.

My friend and I visited Pho Cue for the second time as the wait is always worth the food being served. Unfortunately, the greeting didn't begin very well. I do understand that it's hard to keep up with every customers wants/requests especially in a busy environment, however, we wished to be seated in a place that was warmer or where it didn't feel as cold. Thus, we requested one of the waiters to either turn up the heating or to seat us at another vacant table(visiting customers kept moving in and out causing a constant draft of cold air directly at us). So the person turned on the heating and informed us about the same. A good 15 minutes later, nothing had changed and we were still cold and knew we wouldn't enjoy our food with such discomfort. We requested another of the staff member of it was possible to change our seating. She agreed to do so and informed that we would have to wait for a while which ofcourse we were okay with. But whilst standing in the restaurant the staff member with specs spoke very rudely to my friend, saying " stand there, I've told you already!". We were just shocked with what he said and a bit embarrassed too. We managed to get a warmer spot a while later but given the placing of the table chairs, it felt a bit awkward as I was directly facing a couple seated on the neighbouring table and I couldn't help but have to notice them everytime I looked up and that made both parties feel uncomfortable until ofcourse the food arrived. The food as experienced before was sumptuous, with decent portions. I've rated the service three only because of the kindness and hospitable nature of the other staff that looked after us.

Amazing food and lovely service! Came here last week and the food was so good and really reasonably priced for the portion sizes and quality. Staff were really lovely as well. Really recommend this place for people looking for amazing Vietnamese food.

Absolute hidden gem nestled in Chinatown. So popular there was a queue up the stairs! Well worth the wait the wait though, the duck pho was delicious, the bone broth it comes in looks simple but packs so much flavour. The food came within minutes of our order, and our servers were very polite and cheerful, especially Tam who was very welcoming even with a full restaurant and a queue up to the street! Very reasonable prices, I look forward to eating here again!

A hearty bowl of pho. Big portion. Beef was very tender. Soup a little salty but not too bad. Expect a queue. Opens at 5pm for dinner.

I stayed here from Sunday through to Tuesday. It did not rain. I did not hear or see an emergency vehicle. There was a fair bit of banter. I found this hotel's staff brilliantly individuals who work together to give great service when the curtain goes up. Photographs of my room show a clean well thought through offer, outstanding bed and bathroom linen. I love the modern take on the doormans chair , a sort of arm chair with a hood. I have seen a similar one near Exeter at chef Michael Caines manor house hotel. They originated from a Scottish design , I think. Plenty of marble and marble effect in the bathrooms. My room only had a shower, a very effective one too. I am too old to skid about in a bath. I thouroghly enjoyed a cooked breakfast here and Sunday lunch. I can find minor faults in certain aspects, but overall I really enjoyed my stay. It's in a great part of the city, great shopping and many very good places to eat and drink. I also went to Browns bistro round the corner, and to Moose cafe also nearby on York street. Manchester is untouristy on Monday and less so Tuesday. Museums are shut , the hop on hop off buses don't run. There are a few exceptions, the Central Library is open, Science and industry museum is open , though with a limited offer at the moment. On Mondays they both resemble creches with many running riot and having fun. It's a lovely diverse city, and has very much to offer. There are two free city bus routes. 1 and 2. Linking railway stations and the best parts of the city for a visitor And they run 7 days a week. The concierge at the hotel are fun, know their stuff , but perhaps not brilliant at imparting what you need to know. But jolly and kind and helpful. They will have to work on mind reading. I appreciated Nigel's help he is on the apprenticeship scheme. To me this is a perfect boutique hotel, small, private, genuine, authentic quality, with some brilliant dashes and sprinkles of passion and magic. I ate well , slept well, drank well and repeated that over 3 days.

Best Chinese around! Some things better than others, salt and pepper chicken is the best! Lovely family business, friendly staff and quick service. We don't live in the area anymore but we still drive nearly a 10mile round trip to come here as no other Chinese/Cantonese places compare. Highly recommend the s+p chicken, s+p ribs, seaweed, egg fried rice, soft noodles.

You're not going here for food. The food is passable. Seems like microwaved chips style dressed up a bit. Drinks are good, though, and there is quite often live music every visit I've gone (Friday's) very spacious downstairs and a bit cramped upstairs when busy Honeycomb pale ale was nice
