"Amazing Pho and Friendly Service!" I had a fantastic experience at Pho 23! The food is absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful broth, fresh ingredients, and perfectly cooked noodles. Every dish I tried was packed with authentic flavors that kept me coming back for more. The service was just as impressive. The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making sure everything was just right. It’s always nice to dine in a place where you feel valued as a customer. The environment is also a huge plus—clean, tidy, and comfortable, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal. Whether you're a pho lover or just looking for a great place to eat, Pho 23 is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend!

Very mediocre and poor value for money, especially in this area where there are much higher quality options at better price points. The duck spring rolls were nearly hollow inside, pork shank rice was a stingy portion. One to avoid.

It's a nice little place but I'm sure the cook is not Viet. We had many pho before and the pho here is very bland, the soup tastes exactly like the beef soup cube I bought from the Chinese supermarket. The staff are very nice and friendly, the appearance of the good is great, but it's just now Viet.

I stopped by this Vietnamese spot and tried the pho and pork shank rice. The pho was solid—good broth, fresh herbs, and tender beef. It’s hard to beat the real deal in Vietnam, but it’s definitely enjoyable. The pork shank rice, though, was the highlight. The pork was super tender, and the chili sauce added a nice kick. The place itself is simple and cozy, with friendly service. If you’re looking for a decent bowl of pho and something a little different, it's worth a try.

The dining experience was great! The restaurant environment is comfortable and the waiters are warm and friendly. The beef pho soup base is delicious, the beef is tender, the ingredients are fresh, and the taste is very authentic. Spring rolls and other snacks are also very delicious

It's delicious, but a bit expensive. The beef pho is three to four pounds more expensive than the canteen.

Just got a takeaway and really enjoyed their pho. Noodles were a tiny bit overcooked, but I'm definitely going back. I'm sure it was just a one off. Broth was very light and tasty!

Home style “restaurant”. Not bad but nothing that can’t be made at home.

I am very disappointed with this restaurant. It's labeled as Chinese dishes, yet can't they even properly stir-fry vegetables? If they added some corn and tomato salad dressing, I could pass it off as a salad. Even the meat tastes like a spicy snack straight out of the package, and the marinated eggs seem pre-packaged, dry and tasteless. Most importantly, when I expressed my dissatisfaction to the staff, they defended themselves by saying that all their vegetables are served raw. This doesn't solve anything; it only means that all your dishes need improvement. I won't be returning. The nearby '老伙记' is cheaper（10pounds for rice dish) and much tastier than this place.

It’s not Authentic Vietnamese at all, the broth was bland with little to no flavour. The quality of the meat was below average and the only good thing to say its they choose the correct noodle for the dish

Ordered the veggie pho and the broth was very weak tasting. My friend ordered the beef pho and the broth was much more flavoursome. Not one to go to if you are vegetarian, which is a shame. I hope to see a more flavoursome veggie broth in future!

They have the best pork shank rice in MCR (tbh it might be the only place that I can find this dish here😄) My friend had raw beef pho which i tried and love it, I can taste the broth is slow cooked with beef and no MSG in it, awesome experience anyways

This is not Vietnamese food at all. The bowl and cutlery are just weird and make it difficult to eat soup. Food is overpriced. I walked out hungry ans super disappointed.

Excellent location for both students and visitors; Kind and warmhearted service; Traditional and perfect flavors, I can say that it will be the best eastern food you have ever tasted. Try king prawns spicy cold noodles plzzzzzz!!!!!!

I had no idea that beef honeycomb is actually an intestine, but it was alright taste-wise. Pricing is a bit high if to compare with general impression from the set B.

Staff was very polite and nice. Food was delicious 🤤 so hot and tasty 😋 I have never tried red milk tea, but it also was very delicious. Clean and cute restaurant 🥹😍 highly recommended!!!

We were greeted by fairly friendly staff. Atmosphere and setting is very nice and bright. No allergy questions were asked. 2 of us ordered raw beef pho, 1 ordered tofu and mushroom pho and 1 ordered pork rice. Both the beef and vegetarian broths were bland. I didn’t think the beef was fresh. The noodles were nice. However, they forgot spring onions on my raw beef pho. The pork rice was rather greasy/oily and the pork pieces were very tiny and dry/over cooked. Through out our meal, the chef kept coughing up phlegm which was rather unpleasant. We also ordered Vietnamese coffee which was too watered down and bland. The Thai green tea was nice on the other hand. There were no check backs. Not really a Vietnamese restaurant as they sold Thai tea and Chinese rice dishes. The pricing was average but not worth the quality. Overall 4/10

Very authentic Vietnamese cuisine with great varieties of appetizers, Pho and BBQ meats & seafood served with fried rice…. I believe it is the best in Manchester. Good service and quality food! Raw beef Pho and shrimp room are delicious.Don’t miss them!

Excellent food, pleasant atmosphere, and friendly service characterise this dining establishment. I was very impressed by the quality of the food's flavour, which far above my expectations. The Pho and beef were particularly tasty, and the milk tea drinks were also excellent.

Amazing pho in town. Really tasty pho soup and ox tail pho is qute special. Must try Thai Green milk tea.
