Fuming sat waiting for order and it gets cancelled by restaurant no explanation or anything. If they had refused 30 + mins ago when ordered I could’ve ordered elsewhere. Poor form

Any fish and chip shop worth ordering from does not refry fish that hadn’t sold earlier in the day. Won’t be coming back

Absolutely shambles the chips were like from yesterday and the fish was okish never again..!!

Fantastic food and this is someone who is a very very fussy eater

My family has known Phil for over 30+ years, my mum and dad to start with then me and my little family and now my grown up children and hopefully one day my grandchildren will order from him. Great customer service, fantastic food always a pleasure to talk with the staff. Keep going Phil your doing amazing 🙂

Ordered a delivery through Uber Eats. We had a craving for fish and chips, peas, and curry sauce. The food was delicious, large portions and presentation was excellent. Highly recommend, found a little gem 😃 😋 *****

Customer service and food where incredible. Just ordered in person and was greeted and very kind to us, and the little one. Food was great! Can only speak for the fish and chips, but for a fiver it was bang on. The cheesy chips we got where loaded in cheese and not just cheddar! Overall a great experience!

The workers were really friendly, it's a shame not many people come here as they should. Definitely an underrated spot for cheap, good food!

Great service and even better food

Its fish and chips are the best for takeaway. It's still very hot, crispy and juicy when delivered. It is delicious and value-for-money. Highly recommended.

Still very good taste of fish and chips and pizza after delivered. Quiet a big portion of chips. Nice and polite delivery guy.

If you buy fish and chips you get cod not haddock, also a bit rough.

Food is nice and hot never had any reason to complain.

If I could give this 0 stars I would delivery driver comes to my house and try to overcharge me one pound when I questioned him he threw my food in the boot off his car then ran and kicked my door it used to be good but now AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had to try when I saw it listed as "local legend". Excellent Fish & Chips meal. Totally worth it.

Chicken tikka dry as sticks. ordered without chilli, maybe this makes it moist.

Waited over an hour for delivery before our order was cancelled. When we called the shop they said they couldn't find us despite us living in leeds city centre. They made no attempt to contact us or rectify the issue. Do not order for delivery from here.

Excellent.., we were driving through and I fancied fish n chips. With many shops closed on a Sunday I Googled and found this one. Wasn't sure what to expect but was so pleased we stopped for this chippy. The chips were cooked to perfection and the fried fish was excellent quality. Will certainly try again

I had a bald guy licking my ears as I ate, it almost felt like a massage. The fish I ordered tasted a bit like chicken but I'll let it slide. He gave me curry sauce instead of gravy but I prefered the curry sauce so thank you. However, what I did not like was the fact I saw a pigeon being slaughter in the back, in fact I found this quite disturbing. Overall though it's a 5 star fishbar, thank you.

This is the worst chip shop in Leeds They try to over charges they got the order wrong twice And the food was so so dry And there called himself a fish and chip shop Check yourself before you wreck yourself

I really enjoy the food at Phils I sometimes get a pizza with stuffed crust cheese but I also really like the Donna kebab with cheesy chips and chill with homemade chips as not many other places so it like this.

It was my 1st time ordering here so didnt know what to expect however I was very disappointed. The food was hot however I my fish was burnt. It's like they left it in the fryer too long. So all the moisture gone, dried out. Even the chips were burnt too. I donno man honestly. Fuming isn't the word. I've never ate something so dry in my life. Like it was so burnt n dry that the sun couldn't make it any worse >:-(. Fix up man seriously

OMG Best chippy I have had since moving to Leeds!!!! Doesnt leave the horrid grease around your face like all the others do!! Just a shame they don't do hollands pies 😊

Would give 5 stars but there only getting 3 as rectified the problem but never again as all 3 fish way over cooked and chips cremated too battered sausage was the only nice thing but nice staff and nice driver but wont be trying again.

Nice little chippy, offers much more than fish & chips including pizzas, burgers, kebabs, pasta, jacket potato and not forgetting southern fried chicken to name a few. Speedy service and fish & chips was good.

Fish was good, but after eating half felt strange ouly taste from flour surrounding, fries was good✌️

Great friendly staff, fish is massive easily feed 2 young children on 1 portion with extra chips will return very soon

Ordered a burger and it was all soggy, also got a jacket potatoes and it wasn't cooked properly! Definitely won't be ordering from here again!

Wow amazing food great taste and as always excellent service, if you ever visit ask for the cheesy chip with the 2 cheeses absolutely tasty 😋
