They used to fill the pots to the top. Now they're half empty. Poor value for £6.15

Stale bread, very little choice and poor attitude from server all for a £7 sandwich

I bought a ham, cheese, and pickle sandwich with 24 hours left on the sell-by. It must have been made with week old bread as the crusts were actually crunchy. Combine this with cheap, tasteless ingredients and it summed up to a really awful waste of money. What’s happened to this once superb sandwich shop???? Avoid.

Used to come to this Philpotts all of the time - back then they used to fill salad boxes right to the top, and would be generous with portions, now they ration you like they're going out of business. Today, I buy two jacket potatoes and they're the smallest jacket potatoes I've seen, undercooked beans, and the cheese doesn't even melt because the potatoes are cold. Despite this Phillpotts being on my office doorstep, I'll never in my life go back - awful food now. I don't even leave google reviews, but this is so bad I feel inclined to.

Very poor quality. The bacon was bland and rubbery. Not what you would expect if cooked fresh to order

1 fried egg and a few mushrooms in a roll - half of the roll was dry = £4.70. Very disappointing. I remember philpotts from years ago, and it was a great sandwich shop. It was supposed to be a Friday - come to the office treat..made me feel quite sad.

I got a bacon sandwich. Came with 1 slice and was very dry. Like they cooked it for too long then they left it for long time on the side. Also came stone Cold. My partner got bacon sandwich with egg and he got more than 1 slice and was bacon cooked normally. I wouldn't recommend. Would never buy from here again

Poor. My chicken Caesar salad was skimpy with half frozen chicken and bacon flavoured bits in place of real bacon. It's only busy because it's in the bottom of a huge office building. Avoid.

Una de las mejores cadenas de sándwiches y ciertamente un paso por delante de Greggs. Un poco más caro pero un producto de mejor calidad. El personal siempre parece eficiente y agradable, especialmente la mujer más madura que trabaja la paga y también hace sándwiches.

Brilliant soups and friendly smiley staff.

I go in 2 to 3 times a week, great for fussy eaters as everything is made to order. Glad knows my order before I even walk in and is always a delight to catch up with.

Excellent sandwiches, salads and soups. Yes they cost a bit more than the average, but they are so much better. Staff very friendly and helpful. Haven't had any of the hot foods other than the soups, but they look good too. Fairly good selection of sweets and fruit too. All round pretty top notch.

2 teenage girls and me,"mum" all had different requests for eats!!!! Problem solved at Philpotts. The choice was fantastic, the options all on display so we could pick our fillings for fussy eaters!!!! Manager Nicola and staff were fab they didn't rush us and suggested various wraps, sandwiches and cakes!! The place is super clean and presented lovely. Deffo regular Philpotters now..

Served by angi and arik at the meat counter today. Personable, funny and suppliers of the best lunchtime food in Leeds. Since discovering this gem, I am now a daily customer!

Ordered a hot pork sandwich today for lunch, the small amount of meat that was in the sandwich was so dried up and hard it was inedible!

Great to be able to get a freshly made sandwich and a wide selection of options. The food is nice, and the coffee as good as anywhere around Leeds. But the staff are the highlight, lovely service and make you want to come back every time.

I asked for a Jacket Potatoe and if it was warm, the server at the far end said yes its very hot. she then placed the dreggs of baked beans left in the bowl and a small amount of cheese on a very small potatoe. dissappointed. i went to eat it very close by and it was barely warm. the lady on the till was really nice, and I could see many people enjoying fresh salad. perhaps the Salad service and food is better

OMFG!!!!!!!! CHEESE LOVERS!!!!!!!! Last wednesday I had one of the best meal composition ever 😎 Cauliflower soup with mature blue stilton which has been fantastic for me. I LOVE CHEESE!! Also they offer me special sandwich kind of roasted beef topped with this tangy and mature cheese and salad 🤤🤩 Trust me as I'm like "cheese monster" I never had genuine mature blue cheese with my breakfast in Leeds! That's mean F..k..g Quality for "cheese monster"s

I was recommended this place by some colleagues. I popped in and was served by Jess, a very nice and sociable staff member. The wraps are lovely and filling. All of this comes at a good price.

Have been a long customer - went to purchase usual Caesar salad and asked for item to be replaced by another - no longer can do - have to charge for this. lost custom as I am allergic to the item so should not have to pay for it to be substituted.

Very brief stop in between meetings. I had the Deli pastrami sandwich on brown bread, packed full of flavour very tasty indeed....perhaps a touch more pastrami but not complaining filled a spot. Would stop again.

Where else to get a hearty takeaway breakfast in Leeds? Porridge, trad cooked breakfast, coffees - and of course a warm welcome and great service!

The quality of the sandwiches have deteriorated since they were sold to Patisserie Holdings. Just paid £4.95 for a duck wrap that was full of skin and literally no meat. Staff are friendly but you are paying top prices for average produce.

The best place for work lunch takeway's. Hot wraps/sandwiches carved from roasts, great cake selection and sandwiches..... just a little pricey so loses a star.

Ordered food for an important meeting - lots of items missing, quality was very poor and when I called to query the woman was very rude. I have had salad boxes from here before and some of the items are just awful! Roast potatoes are always burnt, dried up and hard and its just not worth the money! An expensive shop with poor customer service and too big for its boots!

Good food and one real good looking sandwhich maker/delivery guy, think he's the Australian? He single handidly made me give this place a 5 star review! Very nice food there too!

Hi had a terrible service I felt I wasnt treated well as a customer I left there feeling unhappy I will not be going back there ill go to subway they are cheaper and at least they smile when they take your money

Good for breakfasts, slightly pricey on a few things but the quality of the food and the service makes up for this.

Rarely do I go into Philpotts but I had a lovely sandwich from them last week and thought I'd try it again today. Had the Turkey, Emmental and Cranberry sandwich, which is the same sandwich I had last week. Today I was half way through it and found a massive piece of gristle in it, I nearly threw up......I really thought Philpotts was supposed to be an upmarket sandwich shop and therefore I wouldn't need to worry about things like gristle and fat in my sandwich, how wrong was I....I definitely won't be going there again.

Friendly and efficient staff that make it any easy choice of place to get lunch from. The salads that I usually go for are made in front of you and you can choose what items you put in it as made directly in front of you. Well worth a visit

The lunch provided for our team day was exceptional, the sandwiches and other bits were catered to all different dietary requirements. The food was beautifully presented and arrived on time. The manager was very accommodating to our needs and no ask was too big. A wonderful service provided and we will definitely. Be looking to use Phillips posts again. That's k you to the manager and the staff.

Had a lovely lunch today at work provided by philpotts. Really good selection of tasty sandwiches, crisps, some lovely cous cous salads & a range of other nibbles, pastries & buns. The food was well presented & there was plenty of it. I would definitely recommend.

I work round the corner from this Phillpotts so go pretty often and we use them for meetings. They do some really good sandwiches. I find it the place where I'm always spoilt for choice, I'd say always go to the sandwich bar where they make them to order rather than the pre packed ones, they're so much nicer! However I will say the price does match this. Maybe not the place to go if you're after a cheap lunch but if you don't mind spending that little bit extra its a good shout.

Occasionally pick up lunch here when in the area-the selection of inventive salads and sandwiches are delightful. Soups very nice indeed and some interesting flavour combinations. The rare beef salad sandwich with artisan bread -choice of 4 additional salad ingredients on top of the standard is highly recommended. Beef beautifully rare and thinly sliced . Always found the staff to be helpful and the cashiers are very friendly. It's not "meal deal" prices but quality food and inventive choices so one gets a better experience in my view.

I ordered two salads online today and went to collect them at the pre arranged time, only to find out that they had not checked the internet and had not made them.At a cost of £5.10 each they are not cheap for Leeds and therefore something special was expected. I note that around my office in Mayfair I regularly pay this much and get a much better quality salad.The poached salmon salad was not too bad, but the apparent 'signature' salad was dreadful (see images for rotting leaves) and was rapidly abandoned. Quite what makes it 'signature' I failed to see.I recommend that this establishment is avoided to save disappointment and a waste of money.

This is a regular haunt for lunch, great selection of pre packed sandwiches or if you would prefer there is a while deli bar from which you can choose a sandwich filling along with salads which is made up fresh. In addition to this there is a gorgeous salad bar and a selection of hot food. Very reasonable on price given the quality of the food.

it's a surprise that there seems to be no-one copying such a great model. it always looks very labour intensive but obviously works. Worth the bit extra it costs for great quality and choice.watty

The food is very good, I really enjoy the chicken and bacon pasta with Parmesan cheese. However the Staff really need to up their game if they want to provide good customer service. As i was paying for my food today, The person who served me seemed a lot more interested in the customer behind me! Started having a full conversation with that person. I was waiting for my receipt from the person who served me, the employee stood with my receipt in their hand for a short while, chatting to the other customer, not acknowledging me at all or the fact that I was waiting as I needed to get back to work. The lack of communication with me as a paying customer was very poor indeed. I have a lot of experience in customer service and the customer service I received was not at all up to the standard that I expected.

As a regular Philpott user good sandwiches however I have just had a very below standard sandwich - you pay a premium for Philpotts however they have now started using wafer thin processed chicken - a very dissppointing lunch!

I had lunch with colleague over here, just sandwich and soup. Good value for money and tasteful. Not specular but load of options to choose from (hot meals, breads, wraps etcetera). good for takeaway as well.

Great sandwich place - particularly like the boiled egg sandwich (sounds weird, but its good!). Not too keen on the coffee though, but must try and give it another shot!

Brilliant food... especially the hot sandwiches (Hoi sin duck wrap!).Possibly a tad expensive and some of the staff can be a little impatient at times.It is a great place for a lunchtime sarnie though!

Not a restaurant, but a sandwich shop.They do really nice sandwiches, and have started doing hot ones as well (presumably to compete with Roast). They are terribly over priced though, so only go if you're feeling flush. My tip is to pick up the tub of roast potatoes for just £1, and a pre-done half roast beef sandwich for £1.75.

Great sandwiches - pre-prepared or pick what you want (like Subway only with taste). Fresh coffee and juices. Yummy chocolate treats.
