Used to be my favourite Indian takeaway. The last 3 times I've been the food has been extremely bland and lacking flavour. I actually have a previous review years back giving them praise. Unfortunately I won't be coming back anymore as the standards have dropped way too low.

Just had the chicken Jalfrezi. Great portions and very tasty. Delivered within half hour. Impressed.

Just spent over £40 on food tonight and the only masala available on the app of theirs was selected for two meals and we got a hariali too. The tikka masala had vegetables in and hardly any chicken and was a dark red sauce and the Hariali had massive chunks of mushrooms in it. All of the food and packaging was coated in thick oil too which was disgusting. Called the restaurant and spoke to them and they said we ordered the wrong masala as this was the chefs special and not the usual one (Only one search result came up for masala) and the mushrooms he’d speak to the chef about and the oil was blamed on the driver and they way it was in the car on the way over. No offer of apologies or a partial refund or the food to be re-sent out to us again or even next time we go to have a reduced meal cost. Nothing, no empathy at all. Not going to be using them again.

2nd time now my food has arrived like this.messed up the order also. Usually really good f om there but lately this is what you get.

Amazing service and good not used Peterlee Tandoori before 1st time and I loved it food was amazing service was brilliant and the young lady who delivered it was very chatty and a nice lass . 1st time iv had their curry but definitely not the last thanks for a beautiful meal

First and last time ordering here. Delivery 2 hrs 55 mins. After 2 chase up calls. Arrived stone cold and missing the poppadoms I'd paid for. Left most of it as it got too late to eat

Had mixed naga curry, lemon rice, cauliflower bhaji and onion bhaji. So delicious. Highly recommended and also delivery time spot on.

Staff always rude, constantly get order wrong then refuse to put it right, food has been terrible lately also

Have been using these for few years. Food has been lovely until last night. Couldn't believe what we found in the rice. Looks like it's from the metal pads for washing pans out with. Will never use again. Shocking.

Have 2 say it best Indian I've ever had.since lived up north..even beats my home town essex off indians..it all just melts in your mouth..flavouring is lush...thank you..highly recommended 👌

Nice tasty food wouldnt go anywhere else only suggestion is the cheese nan breads could sometimes do with a bit more cheese on lol

Very bland, barely any full bodied taste that I would expect from an Indian king prawn dopiaza, you could taste that the ingredients were cheap. The keemanan was almost empty and the mushroom rice was tasteless. I wouldn't order from this place again and I definitely wouldn't recommend it. Sorry.

Just ordered from here first time. Food was excellent thoroughly enjoyed it. Fantastic friendly guy answered the phone to take my order very pleased with his customer service and manner. Food came fairly quickly great delivery driver too. Will definitely be going again. Very impressed. Thank you Peterlee tandoori.

This place has really gone down hill, got a meal from here tonight Phaal was full of tomatoes and peppers, not a sign of a single fresh chilli, greasy bhaji and hardly any king prawns in dish. Been going here for years and will not be returning. Poor.

Curry sauce had no taste and i have no idea what it was made with. Garlic rice wasnt very nice as the garlic was hard and burned. I enjoy indian food. Sorry but this was not the standard that i usualy get.

First time at Peterlee Tandoori, can honestly say it was the best Indian takeaway we’ve ever had!! Meat was excellent,sauces tasty, everything fresh and flavoursome, finally found an Indian takeaway worth going back to!!

First time at Peterlee tandoori and I must said it was lovely yes I will go again lovely food

I ordered all in 1 carton small meal which if it is all it should include chips like other places. As they dont offer the chicken bhuna with both rice and chips had to settle for 1 or the other. It didn't actually ask which I wanted and came only a tiny bit rice. Luckily I had ordered a nan bread but barely warm. Comes in tiny carton and should be on menu as super small kids meal. £6 3 tiny bits of chicken a splash of squce and barely warm! Will never order again!!

Very good Indian. I have tried most around the area, including various resteraunts and this always hits the spot. Lots of flavour, polite service and decent delivery times. Also I wouldn't usually eat a phall but this one was actually just the right level of heat and still got all the flavour with it!

Super fast delivery! Arrives red hot and always SO good! Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Took 1 hour 30 minutes to arrive therefore food was stone cold, popadoms were soft and completely smashed to crumbs, keema nan bread had no keema or taste. 3 dips tasted exactly the same. Rogan Josh had no meat. Waste of money!!!

Inexpensive for an Indian tandoori and tastes delicious

Lovely food. Generous amounts and the chicken is cooked thoroughly (which is a big deal in my book). Lamb and beef is tender and never chewy. The staff are so polite and friendly. I've had one mistake on an order, which was my fault, and they corrected it without charge. This is the only Indian Takeaway I trust and enjoy every time. Will return and recommend.
