It’s lovely inside, so much to look at and things for sale too. I ordered a sausage egg and bacon roll. It was quite big! It came on a warm plate and the meat was from priors butchers. The teapots and crockery were vintage, loved them. I saw they catered well for gluten free and vegetarian options too. The cafe is dog friendly so as a dog lover, sitting by the door was fun to greet them as they came in. Can’t fault the food, parking, and all the lovely things to look at. I think it could be made more cosy by maybe putting up small partitions/ trellis in some areas maybe. They had a large selection of amazing cakes too!

I’m so delighted with the new management at our local gem! The cakes are better than ever, and there’s a brilliant range of savoury options now with, we’re promised, more on the way. We can’t wait for the breakfast menu to launch soon, it’s sure to be a big hit in our house! Richard, the new owner, is full of energy and great ideas and doesn’t appear to know the word “no” when you ask if they can provide something a bit left field. We’re booked and excited for their pop-up evenings and already planning to use their outside catering for a couple of events next year. They’ve also sorted out that age-old problem of where to host some of our groups’ Christmas events this year. Great food, fair prices, and such a lovely spot! Whether you’re local or just visiting our lovely village, it’s one not to be missed 🌟

Happened upon this cafe by chance, on our way from Sandringham to Burnham Overy Staithe. We liked the look of it, so decided to try it. We weren't disappointed. Housed in a former draper's store (Victorian/Edwardian, by the look of the period shop front), the owners have transformed it into an absolute gem of a tea room (definitely NOT merely a cafe!). The decor is quirky and modern in feel, but pays homage to what most people imagine to be a classic English tea room. The staff were friendly and attentive (but not overbearingly so); the service was first rate. Best of all, the food and drinks were superb - and very reasonably priced. There was a good selection of delicious cakes. I recommend specially the Apple & Cranberry pie. The fruit was perfect; not too sweet, with a delicious tartness from the cranberries. Best, there was a subtle hint of spice; quite un-seasonally, my immediate thought was "This tastes of Christmas!". My wife plumped for a slice of Date and Almond tart (tasty, but slightly on the dry side; improved with the addition of pouring cream), while our son chose the Coffee & Walnut sponge (light and delicious). The menu included a selection of Afternoon Tea packages, at very reasonable prices, along with a few savoury options. As we arrived, a group of "ladies of a certain age" (dressed to the nines, all with fancy summery hats/fascinators) were just leaving, having obviously enjoyed one or other of the Afternoon Teas. All in all, I can't recommend this establishment too highly. It's just a pity we live so far away!.

My daughter also enjoyed a lovely kids vegan version that was prepared with great care. Our dog enjoyed a lovely doggy ice cream and was offered water. Thank you for an all round lovely experience. My wife and I had afternoon tea here, booked a table - they were able to fit us in the same day. The restaurant had good coronavirus measures in place, the tables were well spaced out, people were asked to wear masks when moving around - although quite a few diners didn’t which I thought was quite selfish. The quality of the food wasn’t brilliant. The sandwiches were fine, although unimaginative - ham, cheese & pickle, cheese & cucumber and egg mayonnaise. We were not asked if we wanted other fillings, the bread was a mixture of white and brown, we were not asked if we wanted one or the other. The scones were not good, cold - I would have preferred them to be warm, very dry - as if they were not fresh, they were over done and there was an unpleasant after taste. The scones came with a small amount of cream and jam - I would have expected at least double the amount. A neighbouring table ordered two scones, each came with the same helping for one scone that we had for four. There was a shot glass with something that resembled a mini trifle which was ok.The cakes were not good - peanut butter cheese cake was not to my taste, a strange combination. There was another cake which I only had a small bite before pushing to one side, it was awful. A third cake was a bun with pecan nuts which wasn’t good. The final one was a chocolate brownie which was ok, but not the best brownie I have had. We were not asked what type of cake we would like - I had a feeling that they off-loaded cake that was not selling or near its use by date.We had a choice of tea or coffee, we both had a latte which was very nice.

We walked in the door and was immediately shown to a table and menus produced.Selecting a drink was easy, I wanted tea, nothing fancy. But the large selection of cakes available caused a real dilemma until Bread Pudding was mentioned. Choice made, but still more problems, do I want it hot or cold? Well obviously hot. So do I want it with cream or custard? Custard. Having faced all the questions the bowl arrived and was simply amazing. If you visit, try the bread pud but give yourself time to enjoy it, the portions are big.Totally recommend Petals, nice place, friendly staff and bread pud to die for

Stopped off for a bit of lunch before visiting Sandringham. Very clean and lovely atmosphere. It is very dog friendly but all dogs were perfectly behaved and on the floor (!). We had scones, cakes and drinks. The cheese scone with cream cheese and chilli jam was unusual and lovely, as was the banana biscoff cake, and peppermint tea. This used to be our regular haunt and the go to place to take our visitors to Norfolk. Unfortunately with the change of ownership the loving attention to detail has disappeared along with the warm service, we had to give up trying to catch someone’s eye and go up to the counter to get any attention. The place looks pretty much the same except for all the crammed items for sale but the offering was poor. The new owners have kept the same menu and prices but the quality of the produce is nothing more than a supermarket meal deal. We were hoping that it might have just been a bad day but my mum went with a friend and was shocked that anyone could get scones so wrong. We are devastated, it was such a jewel in the crown of the village. We hope that this is just post-lockdown teething problems and wish the new owners well. We’ll listen out for some positive feedback from locals but for now we’ll be staying away.

We've been to Petals many times in the past when it was run and owned by a couple of ladies. We since learnt it had new owners in late 2020. The decor still the same, shady chic and the staff warm and welcoming. We ordered coffee and walnut cake and was expecting the same high, home made standard of being light and fluffy. Sadly, not the case. The cake was dry and heavy and was forced to leave most of it. Such a shame when your expectations are not met.

We booked at this tea room as we were going to Sandringham at 1pm and we had driven from home so needed something to eat.The staff were lovely, very welcoming and the food was delicious. They do a variety of afternoon teas ranging from just scone and jam to full afternoon tea. They also do sausage rolls, quiche and various cakes. All filter coffees are topped up as required which is an excellent service as normally if you have tea you can get numerous cups but if you have coffee you normally only get one small cup, however at Petals they top this up as required.I would highly recommend and its such a shame we live too far away to become regulars at the tea rooms.

My family and I were visiting norfolk for a short break, we had our dog with us so looked at places for a cuppa that was dog friendly. Petals tea room was a wonderful surprise, the place is beautiful and airy and they couldn't be more welcoming- especially to our pooch! We had a delicious afternoon tea with great service. Even our dog got silver serviced treats! Would highly recommend!

Delicious scone with strawberry jam and clotted cream served with either tea or coffee. I opted for the Americano and it was all amazing. It was served on delightful China and my husbands tea came out n a silver teapot, jug and proper sugar bowl and tongs. We will be back before we go home.

This tea room is a little gem ! Located very close to Sandringham House, it is very welcoming indeed , the owner and staff are so friendly . I have been 4 times now , and will undoubtedly continue to sample the delights of the home made cakes (Coffee and Walnut is to die for !) , the fresh fruit scones and the wonderful selection of teas . This is somewhere I have no hesitation in recommending.

After visiting with my mother a month a two ago, we had a lovely afternoon tea. However I was very sad and shocked when I rang today to make a booking, the first person I dealt with was pleasant, I was passed on to a colleague who was very abrupt told me that I could not book when there was 2 adults, 2 children wanting a high tea and two children’s afternoon teas, as they are busy and the only table left is a 6, I was told, “okay, bye then” and the phone was then hung up on me.

Had wanted to visit here for a while and what better excuse than to celebrate my sister’s special birthday. Phoned to book a table but unfortunately none were available, instead I was offered the sofa. I wasn’t sure so declined but after about 10 minutes I changed my mind so rang back and boy was I glad that I did. We were told that we could relax on the sofa and take time to enjoy the afternoon tea. We most certainly did. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and the sandwich assortment and beautiful fresh scones with jam and cream were superb. The top tier of desserts was just delicious. It was all beautifully presented with bone china and silver tea pots. Each and every one of the staff was so friendly and helpful. Will we visit again....most definitely yes.

A very lovely little tea room with parking to the side, very attentive staff and the best value slices of cake around, having been before for afternoon tea which is also reasonably priced we simply had to go again, they also do an afternoon tea selection for the men

This place is a hidden gem. I was invited to a small family celebration here, otherwise I would have not known it existed. The dainty food comes on tiered china cake stands, the leaf tea is served in teapots, the mini trifles are in glass dishes, and the service is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is timeless; one can almost imagine this to be the place where Captain Mainwearing would bring his lady wife for tea. The only concession to modern life are the paper serviettes. And the perfect touch? Anyone who is tempted by the menu and orders more than they can eat finds the remainder carefully packed into crush-proof containers to be taken home for later.

This little cafe/restaurant is a hidden gem, lovely people, lovely cakes "2nd to none". Tea served in a pot and nice bone China cups, which I say always seems to make it taste better. There is a very good menu that patrons were enjoying. I had an almond and apricot slice, it was absolutely delicious.

Five of us went for afternoon tea as a treat for a birthday. There was quite a good assortment of sandwiches and cake. Nice atmosphere. Bit disappointed when asking for some more tea we were charged for it. Where ever I have afternoon tea before that was always free and topped up as much as often, even when I went to Claridges in London they also refilled the food as much as you wanted.

I visited this cafe today for the first time. The staff were very friendly. There was plenty of choices for a lunchtime menu and also reasonably priced for Burnham Market. The drinks we ordered came out fairly swiftly and the food not long behind.Nicely presented and tasty. Its obviously very popular and we will definitely return again soon

Would avoid unless you want burgers it was terrible food the pub was nearly empty and the menu was mostly burgers a few chicken and rice dishes not what I was expecting I thought when I booked the table it was street food for takeaway not for the restaurant I thought they had a different menu would not come here again
