Overall decent, staff are nice and overall price is value but prefer other peri places instead of this one

went here to break fast, we were the only ones there the staff were a really good bunch except for the bar girl never smiled and was very blunt with here words, but food was nice but small portions, would recommend the pasta, don't like the idea of having to go to the counter to order.

Visited as the menu looked cheap enough and nice enough (a lot like nandos) but once we ordered the food it was alot more than it should have been...when i asked why it wasnt the price stated on the menu, i was told there was an error when the menus were made - baring in mind the menus were tatty and falling apart so wasnt a new error, so why hadnt this 'error' been rectified? Also i checked on the just eat website and the prices were the same price as the restaurant menu if not even cheaper? So how they were able to justify the price we paid im unsure?! My meal came, i had ordered a starter but asked for it as a main meal portion (so was charged more) - the portion which arrived was certainly not a main meal and was only just warm. This was replaced but the size was still tiny! I wont be returning in a hurry and just as a suggestion to cause no further confusion with other customers, i suggest the menu and the pricing is rectified?!

Good food staff was pritty poor but nice people and the drinks macheen was just allawing pepsy but other then that the food was on dot an i loved evry inch of it

Lovely owners and decent food. It's a shame they don't have the staff to go with it. Staff member was argumentative when she served the wrong burger and was convinced it isn't, only to find out she had served the wrong burger. Disgusting service! Something you don't expect when you are paying for the food and service.

Appalling service, card payment machine not working, bottomless soft drinks dispenser only filled with pepsi(not even diet). Chops starter very dry, very little meat on the chops & served after we'd finished the meal (invited to take home as a "doggy bag" without an apology or any compensation). Prices averaged around £15 per head so you'd expect something decent considering this is Rochdale and the competition is high in the exotic sector. No wonder they ask you to prepay your order in case you run away before the food comes. This place used to be called Roti and they had some decent curries. Now all you get is a manager/owner with bad teeth & worse toupé. We only came here because they have a franchisee in South Manchester with half decent food. I honestly thought the owners of the brand would have a better standard not worse.They should be paying him for using THEIR name.

Me and my husband decided to try somewhere new, and this place ticked all the boxes. Attentive and friendly staff, delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be returning and recommending this gem of a place to others. Superb!

Described as Portuguese/Mexican ....are they SERIOUS?? In need of a good clean inside and definitely outside our suspicions were realized as we entered the grubby entrance and wondered why the place was empty and we soon discovered why ..this place is in need of a total makeover from top to bottom or it will not survive in our opinion the internal decor is a mish mash of B and Q remnants and Home Bargains really truely shoestring stuff which is a shame as the staff are polite enuf ,food was ok but to have NO sweetcorn in a Portuguese/Mexican eatery is tantamount to sacrilege unfortunately there are too many places like this around ,a sign of the governments failure to help small businesses at grassroots level i suspect .wont be going back not my cup of tea

Just come back from an early evening dining at Peritos in Rochdale. From the moment we walked into the restaurant we were made very welcome and at ease. The chicken was the best we have ever tasted and then we ordered a selection of puds which were very filling with a nice touch of a piece of fruit included. Prices were very reasonable and will certainly be back for some more of that delicious chicken.

Firstly I did not expect the decor to be this standard for where it is. Staff friendly. Picked up takeaway order which was still warm when we got home. Whole chicken, large fries & coleslaw £10.80! Chicken wasn't far from nandos standard! Those who don't go to nandos as often as me may not even notice the difference. Fries were better than nandos. Had some kind of crispy coating. Coleslaw was very basic though, note to chefs, try and tweak the recipe, it let's the chicken down! I'll be going back, taking others who haven't tried! Overall... clean, friendly, local, great value for money and flipping tasty!

Came here with family the other night and with the deal on facebook made it a cheap meal for six of us-£35.00!! Great deal food was delicious,staff friendly and helpful.We will be back soon :)

Amazing food for the price it's half the price I pay when I go out with the family. You get a lot for your money. Expecting to pay around £ 150 but £69.65 for 7 full chicken's 14 side's and 14 drinks amazing value. Don't let people put you of and keep going back for more themselves. try it you won't be disappointed. As a family we go out every week so I no its good food at a amazing price.

The staff are very nice and the food was okay get what you pay for its rather basic garlic bread was amazing good value for money but wasn't for me so won't be returning .

Ordered a mix frazzler after being told that this was dryer than the sizzler.When it came it was drenched in sauce which was way too hot. I mean WAY TOO HOT! I like spicy food but this was ridiculous. The fries tasted as if they had been refried. Just wasn't what we were expecting. Definitely would not come back.

Far better than Nandos, only popped in to pick up an order to take home. Had a right laugh with the staff. Well priced and delicious food. Will be recommending and returning. Great service guys and girls

Had a lovely meal tonight food and service was excellent, and found it much better than nandos portions are bigger and for half the price will definitely visit again!

We went to Peritos for the first time tonight. The food was incredibly tasty and good value. However I was disappointed with decor and ambiance. This is a cafe style and takeaway rather than a restaurant. Food better than nando's but ambiance not. It's also a shame you can't get a beer or glass of wine there. Furthermore, it didn't feel very Mexican. The emphasis is definitely on Portuguese!Finally despite buying Meal for 6 only one loyalty stamp!Still, I gave it 4 stars so thank you guys.

You get bigger portions than Nando's and at half the price. The chips and fillet sandwich are the best with staff who are always eager to help.

I live just round the corner from Peritos, but when I first moved in we didn't go for ages because I really dislike Nandos and I thought it was basically and independent Nandos. When we eventually did go however it was delightful! They do a lot of chicken dishes, but also have other great things on the menu, I have now been too many times to count. The food is amazing and very cheap, the staff are very bubbly and helpful. The ONLY thing i don't like about Peritos is they don't have mayonaise or sour cream available as a sauce, they do have hot sauce, medium sauce and garlic sauce, but I can't handle spicy food, so I usually put some mayo on something if I need to cool it down, they do have peri mayo which is lovely, but you have to pay extra. My favourite thing on the menu has to be the good burger, which is far far better than good! It's a lamb burger with cheese cooked in to the middle of it, its served with home made salsa on a ciabatta bun. hmmmm it's soo good. I could not recommend Peritos enough and I know if I move house, it wont stop me coming back. I usually go with my Boyfriend, but I've been with colleagues, friends and family, it's so laid back, It's suitable for anyone really - except maybe a business meeting or something really formal.. It's open 3-11 which is ideal for me because I work late. - plus they're not one of these places that say they serve till 11, but pull a face if you turn up at 10.30 - the staff are always so happy to see you.

I have only been to Periot's once but will definitely be going back. We went for my husband birthday and thought the food was amazing and was definitely value for money; actually, we thought they were undercharging for the quality of the food.The only negative thing I would say is that it is a non-alcohol restaurant, they only serve soft drinks.

Me and my friends go all the time, never disappointed! Amazing service with really polite and helpful staff, the food is delicious and so cheap too!! Highly recommend this little patch of paradise.

Great place to eat for any sort of customer, much cheaper than known competitor (cough cough nandos) and the food is of the same quality as nandos. Only downside is that you cannot chose the spice you wish as you would for nandos, but hey ho if you like spice then great! Would recommend to a friend

Made our first trip here. Disappointed with the opening as it was advertised as 3pm opening, but didn't actually open until 3.30pm.Staff friendly enough and we were told we could sit straight away as soon as it opened.Menu was as expected so we plumped for the platter to share. This consisted of a whole chicken with 2 regular side orders and 2 bottomless glasses of pop. Opted for chips and salad. Only disappointment with the side order was the salad. A few drab leaves in a small dish covered in slight vinaigrette dressing. Other than that the chicken was perfectly cooked and very tasty.Excellent value for money, other than the salad, and will definitely be going back.

I went yesterday amd the food was nice. The set up is nice. The prawns in the starters are delicious. I would definitely go again.

I love the cuisine and the dishes were presented very nicely. The atmosphere was comforting and the staff and service was brilliant.

Only had take away from Peritos but can recommend the food from this place - chicken's succulent, everything's well cooked and full of good flavours, always consisent! We think it's better than Nando's, and much cheaper. Staff are always really friendly and helpful.

Discovered Peritos on a recent visit to Rochdale, This is by far an excellent family restaurant. Great staff, great food and a great atmosphere. Nice food, good friendly staff and service.The taste was great. Nandos who???? would recommend and visit again if i was in town!!

I love peritos the food is fabulous, I come here often so often Infact I'm now on my THIRD loyalty card! I have never had a bad experience with anything here I think it's the best place to eat in Rochdale by far!

Obviously not as good as nandos but the prices are 10-20% cheaper. Service good. They make an effort for kids. Would go again without a doubt.

Great food, good prices but vegetarian selection and taste is lacking. The drink prices are a bit high and it feels generally cold in winter so wear your coats. The service is super and very friendly.It's cheaper, quicker and its local

This is by far an excellent family restaurant. Great staff, great food and a great atmosphere. The chicken liver and good burger is to die for! The taste was great. Nandos who????Perito's is the place to be! By far my favourite restaurant in Rochdale.

me and my kids have been to peritos twice this week and we have enjoyed it both times. excellent service and great value for money. it is similar to nandos but alot better, food is tastier, peri peri sauce is alot nicer than nandos, and i would recommend everyone to try it just to find out what a great meal and great service you will recieve. you will never return to nandos again! :)

I hate Nando's -thier food is dry and overpriced. But Perito's food is excellent moist chicken.The service is very friendly and the overall atmosphere is nice. The garlic bread, chips, corn are excellent. But the creamy mash is literally heavenly!Can go on but there is no point, get down there and see what Nando's should be giving you!

Me my Mrs and lad go hear regular. The staff and really friendly and the food is always good. Chicken sizzler is very nice. There isn't many places were food and drink for 3 will cost under £19.00

Starters were not great. Sweet chilli prawns were just frozen supermarket prawns mixed into a sauce. Chicken wings were not nice at all! The chicken was falling into pieces which had a weird texture. Salad was brought from the supermarket too! The only thing that was nice was the chips! Would not visit the place again unfortunately. But best of luck to everyone at the restaurant.

A strangely located restaurant. The location is surprising once the doors are open and you see an interior resembling a famous high street Peri Peri chain.Although an imitation, the imitation and the ambience is excellent as well as the service which is attentive but not 'in your face'. The décor helps create a wonderful ambience which immediately relaxes. When added to the smells from the open kitchen it immediately makes the mouth water.The first visit we ordered almost everything on the menu!! So having done that there are positives and negatives in the food.Basically starters are amazing (salads too but especially the Halloumi cheese), most mains are great but the main event, THE PERI PERI chicken is unfortunately dry. That said the Special sauce will do as a nice side to help.Overall very tasty food with great ambience, clean and fair pricing. Would recommend trying.
