Pepe's piri piri in Oxford

We stopped off late on Friday night after a gig at the O2 nearby. We grabbed some chicken strips, a chicken burger, and a quesadilla, plus chips and drinks. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was fresh and delicious. My daughter tasted the chicken strips, sounded like she'd gone to heaven, and said "they are the gods of chicken, we are definitely going there again."

The chicken had a horrible smell, the chips were wet and the lettuce brown. Staff rude. Went to leave and saw a small rat running from the kitchen. Needs to be closed down.

I ordered a Lamb Burger meal and got something inedible. The lettuce was brown and disgusting with hardly any other salad. The bit of tomato still had the green stalk on it.The two bits of lamb patties were hard as leather and very very thin. Have enjoyed Pepe’s but any never going again as their service had gone downhill

WORST PEPES I HAVE EVER BEEN . We have eating Pepe’s since 2015 and the staff was telling us they know how to cook we ordered full chicken , chicken rice, chicken wings and chicken wrap all lemon and herb barely any sauce on the chicken or rice wings had £45 wasted thrown food in the bin. EVERYTHING WAS BLEND LIKE CHICKEN WAS BOILED AND THROWN TO THE GRILL IT WAS NASTY

The worst in Oxford!!!…how can they cut wings into half then sell as individual??? Please see pic below as I had to go order wi g from Nando’s… the portions were very small and it costed me £18.99 while Nando’s chicken wings were £14.75… Pepe’s are ripping customers off and should be ashamed!!!! Please don’t buy from them and save your money go to Nando’s or Chicken hut cowley centre.

Nice and delicious, chicken with lemon flavour was delicious, definitely will come back, spicy chicken wings yummy

Ordered food half my order missing I told the driver he said it’s not his problem and phone the restaurant I did and was told they would deliver it straight away they gave me the drink but left out 8x wings 2x fries and onion rings they said sorry and would put it on my next order 😂😂😂😂😂😂 omg what a gang of idiots

Ordered food from here and not the full order arrived, annoyingly it was my son's childrens meal. When we called them the customer service was poor insinuating that we were lying and saying they would just add the missing food onto our next order. We said we wouldn't be ordering again as it was our sons dinner but they kept repeating and saying on the next order. They then put a manager on the phone who initally treated us the same way but then agreed to send the missing food. We then had a buzz on the buzzer (live in flats) and my partner answered and said come up Im buzzing you in. We heard nothing after that, the driver had left the food outside in the cold of a block of flats.

Very poor customer service…. Poor quality food Ordered on Uber eats with special instructions for food due to dietary requirements and allergies all food came ignoring all instructions sent rang Pepes and spoke to Ali he had awful customer service and insisted that mayo was not a sauce and insisted I rang Uber for a refund as he was to busy and the drivers were not able to resend food out I would not eat from this place again after the experience I have had they do not take allergies seriously and do not realise the consequences that this can have for individuals food looked awful and was thrown in bin.

Decido quindi di introdurmi nel locale, adiacente la mia abitazione per mangiare qualcosa al volo. È stata una delle esperienze più terribili in campo culinario della mia vita. Il locale, esattamente 3 metri x 4, è meno pulito della stazione centrale di Napoli-Piazza Garibaldi. Con un personale composto da 4/5 membri, e un’affluenza di 2 persone all’ora, è inaccettabile. La carne era disgustosa, e come leggo in altre recensioni, i componenti erano tutto fuorché di materia prima. Ci troviamo in Inghilterra, non parliamo di esperti culinari, ma devo dire che rispetto a Pepe’s Piri Piri Oxford, il McDonald è un ristorante di lusso.

Used to be my favourate take away, we get pepes twice a week. Not anymore, not only has the quality of food declined (hard chicken, like the chicken breast been cooked from frozen) tiny large chips, always missing items and the staff do not care at all - basically insinuating we are lying? Staff are rude now and do not communicate well at all. They used to be lovely staff and perfect chicken, what a shame

Just had an order from you via Uber eats!! Simply amazing,I can honestly say you are above Nando’s!! Your wing platter was beautiful and the rice and chicken box was plenty for a growing 16year old!! 100% recommend and will definitely be back for more!! Thanks guys :)

Disgusting and unfresh food. Cold and soggy fries, unseasoned plain chicken, warm drinks and a sloppy plain burger. Avoid at all costs.

Excellent customer service, clean, not too pricey, chicken was a little hard but overall very happy.

Had a take away from here last week . Chicken Pitta kebab was really great value and great tasting . Prefer this place to a Nando’s now !

Went in after a night out and were surprised by the friendly staff and genuinely tasty fresh chicken. Highly recommended.
