Pepe's in Watford

I placed the order at 18.30. the just eat app said it was delivered at 19.40. I called Pepe's many times but no success. over an hour later I decided to order something else as I was hungry. I ended up getting a call from Pepe's delivery driver at 21.24 saying he couldn't find where I lived. I told him I no longer wanted the order and wanted a refund as it was over 2 hours late. If I had been notified the order was still coming and not that it had been delivered. I would have waited.

Food quality was terrible. Chicken strips with the rice were so dry they were hard - definitely not freshly cooked. Went in the bin. The chicken burger was tiny. The onion rings was missing one from the portion! I didn’t realize the 50% off meant off the quality as well as the price!

Food was spot on, had a bad experience before but covered up today, well deserved second chance will order again soon

Service is way too slow. Ordered for collection for 5:35pm. Arrived at 5:30 and paid for it. No one gave me any update so I asked them at 6 and they said the food was just getting put on the grill now and it’ll be another 15 minutes. Absolutely abhorrent service and this isn’t a unique occasion. Food quality is also subpar. Will be only going to the Whippendell road branch in Watford from now on.

Waited 3.5 hours and didn’t even get the food after it said it had been delivered.

I waited for 2 hours and also called 3 times where the responded with 15 more minutes. Eventually had to come in to collect myself.

Waiting almost 2 hours and no sign of delivery - called and they said they couldn't find our order slip and it'll be 35-40 minutes more, when questioned how if they can't find the slip they said it'll be there somewhere.

Without a doubt, the best Pepes on the planet!!! Dined in and also had up to 10 deliveries since it opened, never one problem, chips are delicious, the new chimichurri mayo dip is insane. The marinades are exceptional 👌

Food was lovely but have to leave a negative review for the delivery driver, he was parked directly outside my property , the driver called for me to come outside and collect!! Outrageous the delivery man couldn’t be bothered to walk and do his job, that’s why I pay a delivery fee, no excuses and I had to explain I couldn’t leave my property to collect he sounded like he got the hump when I said this. Please do better it’s your JOB and what you are paid for….you wasn’t even lost 😫😫

There was no Perry Perry powder and Perry Perry fries, no cheese on natural Paneer. This feeling half of the cup of Pepsi Max, I ordered the large one. It was just filled half of that.

I ordered PANNER NACHOS MEAL - LARGE They gave me first normal meal after telling them they changed but they haven’t fill my cup full it was half when we complained they were making excuses , there was not enough cheese on nachos We also ordered peri peri fries all the fries was normal there was no peri peri on the fries We also ordered Panner Wrap and Panner Burrito Meal the service was too bad and the food was also not that much good then the other branches , I don’t know but the staff was not helpful at all I’m visiting pepe’s twice or thrice a week but this branch was the worst PEPE’s North Watford User was :- Shaz Imtiaz and her colleagues

For a fast food, the chicken sandwich was delicious. The side salad was very much sufficient. I wish we had one of these in our hometown in the US.

Chicken Thieves . If I order whole grilled 🐔 chicken ( or half grilled chicken ) I expect all the meat 🍖🥓 in the chicken. But they have already stolen most of the breast part to make their boneless burgers . All you get is bones ( wings and legs but not chicken breast ) and some meat sticking to it . I had never had this issue with other branches of this chain but this franchise is definitely a chicken 🐔 thief . No shortage of chicken joints in Watford or St Alban's road so avoid .

Best pepe’s in watford. High street and whippendell are rubbish compare to this branch.

Pepe’s Piri Piri in Watford is not very crowded in the afternoon Service is gentle and very educated The chicken I have had is one of the best I have ever tasted 17£ for a whole chicken + 2 bottles of water and chips is very afordable for any pocket If you are in hurry this is a fast place to eat at a good price I recommend it

Recently dined at Pepe's, and it was an absolute delight.The Peri Peri Chicken was succulent and bursting with flavor. I opted for the extra hot spice level, which provided just the right amount of heat without overpowering the taste of the chicken. The sides, particularly the peri peri fries, were delicious accompaniments. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. The restaurant had a cozy ambiance, and I appreciated that the restroom was clean and well-maintained. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I can't wait to return.

I had a good experience with Pepe haringey they make the rice so well but Watford it has been really disappointing. I think ordering it will be better but it’s tasteless no flavours at.

Today's food was very undercooked, not rasty, not grilled properly even rice was not cooked

The half chicken was too salty - was not impressed- also very dry from the inside.

The food is out of this world, honestly everytime I order, it gets nicer....it's always hot, full of flavour and you get fed, full portion, what you pay for!!! First time I tried a 1/4 Pounder Beef burger last night with cheese and it nicer than Brim!!! Also the chickrice box is unbelievably tasty!!!! Best Pepe's on the planet, best piri piri chicken on the planet!!!

Have ordered in the past and the food has been great, however I noticed there was a new chef on the grill & the chicken was not cooked. I noticed pinkness in the Chicken Brest and the Wings were hard. The food was hardly on the grill, partly grilled and dumped in the sauce. Very disappointing.

One of the best pepes. Chicken always cooked to the perfection. Always offer best service. The staff and manager are really good especially the manager is such a humble person.

I have been a fan of this branch of Pepe’s but why charge for dips when you don’t deliver them - I missed out on the dip and the chicken burrito was mild instead of the hot that should have been delivered

I love this Pepes! - best one in Watford in my opinion - the food is very tasty and always fresh - their customer service is excellent, staff are very friendly. I would recommend this Pepes to anyone.

Fries great, chicken burger flavourless not what it used to be, mozzarella sticks under cooked tasted doughy atleast its was 50% off after spending £20 would of been extremely disappointing paying £30 for burgers of that quality. Lessons learnt
