First time at pepe's (dumfries) I was recommended it by a work colleague, foods great but the order was wrong. I was looking forward to trying the extra hot chicken tenders and when I got home they were mild, the same as the chicken XL i also ordered. I will be back as the food is great but no matter how busy or how big my order is I will be checking everything before I walk out and that could be embarrassing, but not for me. I hope the owner/manager takes this seriously as this is a consistent mistake being made by staff, judging by other reviews and experiences. CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE LEAVING!

I am DONE with Pepe’s. The food? Yeah, it’s great—when you actually get what you ordered. But the service? Absolutely shocking. The staff act like they’re doing you a favour by taking your money. Miserable faces, no customer skills, no effort. It’s like they’re allergic to basic courtesy. And the cherry on top? They get the order wrong ALL. THE. TIME. I’m not talking once or twice—this is a regular thing. How hard is it to repeat the order back? It’s takeaway, not rocket science! It’s beyond frustrating when you’re looking forward to your food, only to get home and find they’ve messed it up again. I’m sick of it. You’ve got great food, Pepe’s, but your service is an absolute joke. FIX IT.

Food wasn’t delivered they delivered it to another address when contacted the restaurant wasn’t bothered in the slightest about sorting this it was a couldn’t care attitude

My girlfriends chicken was too tough to eat unfortunately which is a shame as we are regular customers so we know it was just a one off as every other time it’s been 10/10

Arrived at a busy shop which wasn't an issue, but what I had a problem with was when the person at the counter saw me walk in and wait to be seen. for someone new to walk in and her to serve them before me.. then walk away and start filling chips init the bags... someone else then came out after 5 min to serve me, then the first lady comes over and says just wait I'll take your order in a min... I said I'm here to collect and order so she made a noise and walked off... poor experience.

One of my favourite places really enjoyed it so much flavour in the rice food came quick and hot always have good experience with pepes.

They made a mistake on my order so gave me some money back with out me asking. Food was great

I phoned to enquire why my meal was late and the person I spoke to hung up on me! I also noticed that there was a service charge on my receipt, why? You only get one chance to make a good impression and you failed miserably. I’ll not be back.

Big chicken bone in my chicken wrap wasn’t very apealing so missed that out of the meal but the chips where nice and mozzarella stick

Welcoming place when all else was shut and the rain was lashing down. Wide range of choice. My chicken burger was delicious, fresh and my friends said the same about their food too. Lovely fries and the carrot cake was good too. Large area for queuing if need be and a seating area too. This was my first visit, but will certainly be back and will recommend to family and friends.

I ordered on just eat like an hour ago it says enjoy your food so I assume that means delivered the door didn’t go so I called the restaurant and they told me that it was left on the doorstep and I went out to check I called them back and they told me it wasn’t there problem

I got a notification saying it was ready, but it wasn't and I ended up waiting in the store for 10+ minutes.

Paid for extra chicken £3.50, and cheese £1,,,, iv done this a lot, but will never again, you will always just get the same, foods great, but they rob you with extras. They don’t bother

Really happy to see a halal fast food restaurant here. The portions n quality were good! Their staff were kind n helpful. I wanted to use to the toilet but didn’t have toilet roll so mentioned to one of their staff (think her name is Uruj) n she cleaned the whole place!!! I wld recommend this place for muslims traveller to try.

Would go as far as to say this is Dumfries best takeaway joint. Food is always piping hot on delivery, great food every time. Nothing negative to say at all. 👌

Young Asian woman (manager advised she is new) who appeared to have tremendous difficulty getting our simple order correct was laughing like a child when I challenged her as to why she asked over and over again what we ordered. At one point she even walked to our table to verify the flavour of the soft drinks. Needless to say the order was wrong. Some of it was barely warm and the thickness of the chicken fillet was approximately 4-5mm which is extortionate bearing in mind the price of £8.99! Complained to the manager who didn't really want to listen and sided with her but had no conviction with how to deal with complaints 🤔. Travelled 30 minutes to get here as needed something to eat prior to a 5-6 hour journey home 🏡. PLEASE STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT TO TREATED WITH CONTEMPT! WORST PEPE'S I HAVE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE TO EAT AT AND I HAVE BEEN TO MANY UP AND DOWN THE U.K.

First time using the venue, wonderful food, staff and very clean. The young lass who served us, very friendly and knowledgeable. We will be back very soon.

Good quality food that tastes great however a little over priced if being honest. Also, the extreme hot sauce really IS for anyone out there who enjoys hot food.

First time trying this place,spotlessly clean from what we can see,quick service,lots of staff and the food was fantastic. We ordered double lamb burger and a family platter,without exception everything was excellent. We will definitely be back!

My chicken was so dry, clearly been sat in a heat box because I was there less than 10 minutes after I placed the order. I have been many times before and was even here last night but tonight’s was terrible.

We we decided to try ordering a takeaway whilst on holiday, but worries it wouldn't be accepted because we were staying in a tiny cottage a good way out of Dumfries. Not only was it delivered, quickly and easily, the food was absolutely delicious! Thank you, you made two tired walkers very happy 😊

The chicken at Pepe’s Dumfries is the best I've ever tasted! The lemon and herb flavor is beyond excellent so much flavor. Their peri peri fries are also amazing, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. Highly recommend!

Food was amazing as usual. I want say a huge thank you to the gentleman who was delivering my meal. I messed up and forgot to change my delivery address, so when he phoned to say he was outside, I realised that I had chosen the wrong address. I apologised profusely and said I would meet him. However, this lovely gentleman said it was okay and asked for my right address and said he would be over shortly. When he turned up, he had a smile on his face and was so nice about my mess up! Thank you.

Xl chicken burgers awful, the burger was rock hard and really dry. Total waste if money!

Staff are always so friendly in there, the food is always fresh and hot, can’t say a bad thing about it. It does take a little extra time than your average fast food but everything is always spot on I’ve never had a bad order from there yet

It is one of the few places in Dumfries which does paneer dishes and I really appreciate that. They have great vegetarian options and at somewhat affordable prices. Staff can be occasionally moody but overall amazing experience. I would appreciate if there’s a way to customise the platters with vegetarian options too which is not possible right now.

No cheese on fajita wrap, jalapeños on quesadilla which were not ordered. Disappointing.

I have to say, this meal was absolutely spot on. the kids really enjoyed their burger & nugget meals - the little maze toy in the bag was a nice touch. Everything cooked perfectly 👌🏻 and decent portion sizes too 👍

Always arrives in plenty of time. Always amazingly tasty food. Has quickly become one of our favourite places.

Ordered for 7.30pm, got told it was delayed to 7.40, finally arrived at almost 8pm. Driver couldn't find our house even with clear directions. Chip portions disappointingly small. Food only luke warm. Also ordered 2 cans of Tango - got an Iron Bru and a Pepsi. Very disappointed. Won't be using them again.
