Really great food! I’m only in London once a month but make a point of having lunch here.

If you’re happy paying over £10 for 1 egg, 1 shocking “vege” sausage and about twelve baked beans then the People’s Cafe is definitely for you!!

Ask Mehmet to make an omelette !!he is pro at his job!

As you may be able to tell, I'm no stranger to great big breakfast cafe's as this is definitely up there with the best if you want great choice filling all day breakfast plus other choices for great value check it out.

A brilliant tradition cafe with a twist. Best value in the area by far and a great range of traditional caff staples: breakfast, omelettes, sandwiches, burgers etc.. then they have the home made specials daily specials that are fabulous. I recommend the spicy chicken. Really friendly staff who make you feel welcome. A gem!

People’s Choice is a must when in London! The food, the staff and the atmosphere here is fantastic!

My absolute go to for a breakfast or lunch, especially when hungover. I used to work in the area and People's choice saved me many of time when out on a school night the night before! Lovely staff and delicious food! Gutted I have relocated for work, will miss People's choice and the lovely ladies working there!

Wow... It was awesome. Actually that 1 Potion was enough for two person who take light breakfast. So delicious. Kind and friendly customer service with nice environment. Go there earlier and catch your place and enjoy the meal. Cheers!

I don't normally do this but this place deserves a good review. They have a kind of select your own breakfast that I really like as it saves asking for an item exchange on a set breakfast. They also do Turkey Bacon which is unusual and it was delicious. Ideal for Muslims I guess? But the highlight was the Black Pudding-THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD! Please visit and help stop this old school Kaff from turning into another expensive 'Coffee Shop'.

My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this little gem on our 5 year anniversary. We jumped inside as we hid from the rain and decided to have an omelette and some chippies. What an incredible charming establishment. Happy 5 years babe x

I am a coach driver so I eat in a lot of cafes. I have to say that the breakfast I had this morning was possibly the best I’ve had in the 14 years that I have been doing early morning pick up’s in London. The price was also reasonable. I will be back (hopefully Friday).

숙소 근처라 아침먹기 좋았고, 영국식 그 자체라 경험하기에도 좋은 곳, 커피까지 세트로 저렴한 가격이고 홍차를 선택할 수도 있어요. 감튀도 아주 뜨거운게 바로해줘서 맛있어용. 가까이 숙소가 있다면 아침먹기에 좋아요!

Fast friendly service and excellent food

We were so grateful to find this cafe as most places were closed early on a Sunday. The menu was vast with plenty of choice for breakfast including an option to build your own. Service was friendly and fast with hot food coming out very quickly. We all enjoyed our meals and would return.

First time eating here, had the chicken burger and chips. It was a very nice meal and very reasonable prices, under a tenner including a soft drink. Very friendly staff.

I placed a order to my hotel, egg sandwich no sauce (mayonnaise) and mind you I requested for double mayonnaise and ordered extra mayonnaise for my chip. Furthermore, they gave me Fanta orange instead of Fanta lemon which is priced slightly higher then the usual. I am dissatisfied by the customer service as they don’t even bother picking up their phones. Disgraceful!

Great selection of food and fantastic customer service

Not knowing this part of London, we needed somewhere to eat and of course that brings the nervousness of trying somewhere new. We had the grilled chicken, chips and salad. The chicken was moist and lightly spiced (excellent). The ingredients appeared and tasted fresh and the meal was freshly cooked. The staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant was clean. Would call again for sure.

I don’t leave reviews ever but I absolutely loved this place! MUST try! Ordered on Uber eats. PERFECTLY packaged. I’m assuming like a previous reviewer said they pack the items that can go soggy individually. Amazing! Not sure why but my bread wasn’t toasted so I was a little sad about that. No big deal. I ordered scrambled and fried egg. Could have been tastier, won’t lie. Scrambled eggs were all stuck together in a pile. Sausages were amazing! As were the chips and everything else. They let you pick items on their menu on uber eats. So I didn’t have to have mushrooms, tomatoes and Turkey which I don’t like but are always in full English breakfasts. Loved that on you could pick. For breakfasts now this is 100% my go to. Also I purchased their chilli sauce.. can I just say WOW. I love spicy sauces, none ever hit the spot. This was spicy! It was so tasty and flavourful and a decent amount was given too. If you’re south Asian or just enjoy extremely spicy sauces in general, it’s a must. LOVED it! Highly highly recommend this place. I can’t see anyone not liking it. I’m very rarely wow’d. But this was wow. Keep it up, you have gained a new customer in me.

I’ve been going to this place for more than a year and I’m so glad for finding it. It’s run by some very nice Turkish people and they have a very good halal breakfast with halal turkey bacon and halal chicken sausages. Highly recommend this place!

Food don't taste as good as it looks

It was recommend to me by a colleague at work, that I should visit People’s Choice Cafe on Goswell Road. I am very glad I took my colleague’s advice! I will be visiting here frequently moving forward! A proper traditional cafe right in Central London is increasingly rare to find these days, especially after the pandemic, but this is a proper little gem! A range of breakfast and lunch options including specialities in Omelettes and Falafel Wraps, so has a unique offering compared with other similar cafes. I had a Grilled Chicken Melt Panini with Chips and a drink, which was delicious and is very good value for money at £7.50! Overall, I recommend visiting People’s Choice for a snack or a Full-English breakfast.

Regular here love the staff so funny and friendly I come here every Friday so many breakfast and lunch options they even have halal option as we as vegan.price I'd say is fair medioca never had a problem with there food very good chefs the most popular is there grilled chicken.

Order through Ubereats. Food arrived on time and all were made very well. I ordered 10 item Halal breakfast and all the items were of good portion size, tasty and items most likely to get soggy were individually packaged. Good quality ingredients used. My only criticism would be the bread was overly buttered. Very good service as they took notice of the note I left

Probably the best cafe I have ever been. Now got disabled access with Auto Door which makes our (disabled people) life little bit more easier. Customer service is always excellent.

I’ve been working in this area for nearly ten years didn’t even realise they sell halal food! So today got myself a halal full English to takeaway. Everything was cooked to perfection. Definitely would recommend to anyone that works in this area to try this place out. Will be back to try out the halal lunch range. Price was very reasonable too.

I order from here a lot and the food is OK a typical london cafe, the only downside is the bacon 🥓 never crispy always soggy or burnt, I would of gave 5 but the bacon is a big let down.

Stopped of today for a bacon sandwich but the bacon was so over cooked was a joke and my partner asked for runny egg in her sandwich which was overcooked Won't bother stopping here again waste of money !

I have been a customer of People’s choice cafe for around 4 years now and often order variations of their 5 item cooked breakfast via Uber eats. It’s ALWAYS quick, delicious, correct and they read the notes (eg bacon well done/eggs runny etc) and respond accordingly. This morning I ordered the breakfast and chose halloumi as two of the items and put a note saying I love halloumi and they gave me about 8 slices of halloumi! Basically, if you’re ever on death row and have one last breakfast to choose, this is the one. Trust me. PCC, I <3 you!

Best service best customer service when you can go in and staff knows your order

Best halal breakfast in London been looking for years for a decent traditional cafe that serves halal fry ups this is it. I ordered via Uber eats expecting the worse and I got the best I will be a frequent customer.

Ordered some breakfast through Deliveroo, the restaurant accidentally mixed up the orders, I rang and spoke to a lovely gentleman and received the most exceptional service with the correct meal sent out and received within half hour! The food was absolutely delicious and very hot! Will be returning!

Si algún chileno lee este comentario, quiero decirle que esto en nuestro país sería una "picada" perfecta. Solo probé los desayunos pero también sirven almuerzos. El desayuno es una hermosura, por alrededor de 7£ tienes un english breakfast completísimo que te permitirá comenzar tu mañana con toda la energía para conocer la ciudad. Muchas personas que trabajan en construcción a los alrededores van a comer allí, por lo que se imaginarán lo generosos que son los platos. Debo necesariamente mencionar que sirven un exquisito apple pie, para los amantes del dulce les pido que por favor no se lo pierdan. El personal que atiende es amable y el joven que nos atendió (que lamento mucho no recordar su nombre) era muy simpático y paciente con turistas indecisos e inseguros como nosotros.

Been there for breakfast last month with my wife as we stayed in a hotel nearby and really wanted a proper English breakfast and we were very happy as the food was delicious, coffees really good and service impeccable. Everything is tasty and cooked at the moment and really cheap. They deliver breakfast and lunch boxes also to lots of clients in the City. If you are passing by Barbican, don't miss the People's Choice! I'll be back soon.

My partner and I like to explore different veggie breakfasts and this was lovely! Not too greasy, really tasty herby sausages and proper coffee. Highly recommend.

Staff were super friendly and made me feel at home - the way mama used to. Food was also great. Coffee wasn't artisan but hey this isn't a hipster coffee spot.

Definitely the people's choice of cafe!

This place hits the spot for a big full English in the morning. I was expecting a standard fry up but this was really tasty, with probably the best bacon I have ever had. Lots of choice available, including American breakfast, brunch and chips. You also get a good proper mug of tea!
