This is now Native and has replaced Pensons. Lovely greeting from Sherman and a wonderful eating experience. We had the tasting menu which had extra little tasters for us to enjoy. Beautiful food and wonderful service we will definitely be back.

From the warm welcome at the door on arrival to the final morsel of outstanding food before leaving this restaurant is phenomenal and one of the best we have visited. It is tragic that such an establishment will have to close its doors later this month as it is just not economically viable due to ever rising costs. I wish the chef, his staff and front of house all the very best for the future. If you can book before they close you will not regret it. Thank you Pensons.

Our first visit to Pensons! We have been watching them on Facebook for months and finally sorted ourselves out to visit the only Michelin starred restaurant left in Herefordshire/Shropshire/Worcestershire. From being greeted outside the building to being seated and then the food the experience was fantastic. Attentive staff who looked happy to be serving great food that they clearly understood and enjoy explaining to customers. Celeriac with Kohlrabi, Sunflower Seeds, Onion Fallow Deer with Beetroot, Pickled Red Cabbage, Leeks And Quince with Walnut Cake, Fig, Milk Ice Cream All lovely - even enhanced with a local Hereford wine (Radlow Hundred Solaris 2022) Great first visit - will be back 👍

We would have licked our plates for each course had we been at home but that would be unseemly in public. The staff are all pleased to provide impeccable service. Thank you!

We dined here for a Saturday lunch. Excellent food and service in a sophisticated and stylish venue. My girlfriend and I had scallops to start, then I had the duck while my girlfriend had the bass. We both had the blackberries and I had the additional cheese course. We followed this with espresso and truffle. The scallops were the favourite course for both of us. The service was great not intrusive but we didn't feel ignored. It was a perfect first anniversary meal for both of us.

Wonderfully welcoming and knowledgeable staff. Lovely setting and excellent food. We ate scallops and also the pork belly starters. Both were full of subtle complimentary flavours. Perfect weather, perfect food. We had such a lovely lunch at Pensons starting with a cocktail in their courtyard garden in the sunshine. The butter they serve with their lovely homemade bread is so tasty and clearly very unhealthy , the scallop starter was tender and delicately spiced , the fish main had a lovely mix of vegetables and fish with a crispy skin, but the dessert ( blackberry) might actually be the best i have ever had ( and i have eaten at Michelin restaurants before so i am comparing like with like! ) The staff are friendly and approachable.

Unbelievable experience, one of my favourite meals. The food was truly beautiful, seasonal and bursting with flavour. The whole team has done an excellent job with this restaurant and you feel very well looked after. The setting is lovely and welcoming and the decor is tasteful and minimalist. All the courses were excellent and my partner and I particularly enjoyed the duck and bass courses, with the spiced carrot also being a unique dish that we both found very tasty. The desert topped off a great meal. The wine flight perfectly complements the food and there are some seriously good choices in there. Massive thanks to the sommelier for enthusiastically explaining each one and answering our questions about them. I will certainly be finding an opportunity to come back!

We were kindly given a voucher towards the bill to visit this restaurant. I have eaten at some beautiful restaurants all over the world but this one tops them all! Food was exquisite, so delicate in flavour, perfectly pulled together & presented. Wine was one of the best French Sauvignon’s I’ve ever had. What can I say about the service, it was second to none. The staff were knowledgeable, patient & very attentive. What I particularly loved was that anything goes, we dressed up, some people wore jeans & trainers. It didn’t matter, all that matters is the experience of the venue, the food, the drinks to complement & the service. We had a wonderful evening & would recommend & will definitely visit again.

I came here with my partner. We are both vegetarian. I am always keen on eating healthy food. No starchy pies, burghers pizzas or calorific desserts for me! I struggle when I eat out. However, here the food is innovative with balanced flavours. I have a small appetite and do not normally eat three courses but at Pensons the portions were the right size and I did manage three courses and I left feeling very happy with the experience. I had the wine pairing and that was worth every penny because it enhanced my enjoyment of every dish. I recommend the wine pairing if you are drinking and not driving. I know my Pinot Grigio regular tipple would have done no favours for the food I was given which was prepared by talented chefs. A lot of the food was grown in the restaurant's garden which is worth a wander round. The restaurant is in rural surroundings with beautiful views. We travelled from Droitwich and the sat nav sent us down miles of single track unnamed roads which was a pain. Although the location is stunning I found the distance from home along winding roads a trial. The restaurant is well worth visiting. The food, wine, service and location cannot be faulted.

One of the best meals ever and service standards were impeccable from the young crew. Lunchtime set menu had carrot, scallop, hake and duck, cheese and raspberry. Coffee in the upstairs gallery. Not cheap …but value for money? …….oh yes! Pity the weather wasn’t better to sit in the lovely courtyard. Birthday meal with signed menu. Try and make a visit if you can.

Unsurprisingly the food was really very good. Regrettably our experience was let down by a couple of things that really should have been so much better: There is a distinct lack of choice of non-alcoholic drinks - one nasty Heineken beer and some fizzy wine. For an establishment as good as this, we were quite surprised and let down in this respect. The second issue, which all members of our party were disappointed with, was the service. The team were very well drilled in serving and collecting, but lacked attention and personal touch in interacting with us. It was almost a robotic performance and the air of arrogance from one of the staff was quite off putting. Thankfully they put their own service charge on the bill so we didn’t have to! Thank you to the kitchen team - amazing attention to detail and care in preparing the food.

I don’t do reviews usually as I don’t have time. However, after our many visits to Pensons the latest topped them all. I seen a review on open table about the Carrot dish recorded as “tired” and this is why I don’t do reviews. But to counteract that comment - wow who knew carrots could taste so good! It’s been in my dreams ever since. What an Absolutely phenomenal carrot dish that was and the wine pairing with the lovely wine connoisseur who had a broad range of knowledge including the vine owners ancestry! Oh it was just the best! I would recommend 100 times over.

Lunch was perfect, lovely room, fantastic service at just the correct pace. Meal was faultless, duck course absolutely top draw. However star was the fantastic raspberry pudding, one of us felt best dessert they had ever tasted.
