Fox Inn Restaurant in Malvern Hills

I took my partner here for lunch on valentine's day and what a great decision. The food, the atmosphere and the amazingly friendly staff made it an all around great experience. Massive thank you to jack and Jess who welcomed us in as if we were regular customers and been going there for years. I personally don't live anywhere near the fox inn, in fact I live about 3 hours away however if I do travel towards Worcester, I'm definitely making a detour! Thank you once again for the brilliant hospitality.

Food is amazing no issues at all. My only gripe is how expensive the drinks are, I’ve never in my life been charged separate for alcohol n mixer £12 for a GnT is robbery

Had a lovely evening, good work for chef, the ham hock was amazing, cooked spot on the mash, and vegetable broth was amazing, would recommend to anyone who is passing by give the fox pub a try, bar staff really nice great selection of beers ales ,gins etc, job well done to all at the Fox public house 🍻👌👌👍

Great atmosphere and lovely food! It’s dog friendly so I too myself and my dog for a lovely meal where we where both spoiled by the staff and served delicious food! Will defo be coming back again!

Went for burns night. Good value burns menu and food OK for the price. 3.5 hours to serve 4 courses ! Waitress did their best to keep us informed but clearly major problems in the kitchen. Not very busy but everyone waiting long time between courses.

We both had Hunters Chicken and found the chicken tough. My ice cream dessert was missing the cookie shown on the menu.

Came for Sunday lunch, our server was called Jack he was very accommodating and polite, the food was served quickly and was delicious, I would highly recommend their Sunday roast 😁

The food was good pub grub at a reasonable cost. The coffee machine had broken down so coffee was unavailable. Pity they couldn't boil a kettle and make it the old fashioned way. Tea was the other option. Atmosphere was lacking and it was chilly, which didn't help. Saying that it was a cold foggy day, but would have been a nicer experience if it was warmer in the restaurant.

Great pub, been coming here for years and never been disappointed and yet it’s not often at the first of my mind as it’s out of Worcester. Really nicely done up inside, very cozy atmosphere. The bar looked good through the arches but I was here for a meal on this occasion. Service was spot on. The lady that served us throughout the night was friendly, attentive and most importantly laughed at all my dad’s jokes. Tried a couple of unique dishes with the cottage pie croquettes and the crispy duck burger and both went down a treat. If I had any faults it would be that we weren’t keen on the coleslaw with the duck burger. I look forward to coming back and trying more.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely meal in celebration of my birthday yesterday. It was busy but we were informed that there would be a wait. This was not a problem as we had chosen the sharing starter of Camembert which was served promptly and was delicious. Our waitress was a very friendly Kaitlin who looked after us throughout making sure we were happy and if we needed anything. We have been to this venue a few times over the years and we both agreed that this was probably the best experience that we have had. The food was served hot and fresh and we’ll definitely return.

Such a great place with lovely food! Will be back here again with my doggo. I have a steak and ale pie with mash and veg which was such a big plate full! My family all enjoyed their meals too and the kids food had great portions. Love that it’s dog friendly and has some roaring fires!

We called in spur of the moment for lunch and didn’t honk that we would get a table as it was rather busy and we was a group of 5 adults with a baby in a pram. However , we was quickly seated and was attended to for a drinks order. We was told at this point it could take up to around 35 mins for food due to how busy it was . Our food order was placed and I am pleased to say that the delay wasn’t very long at all. The food was good and staff were very attentive . We was served by Jack. He was polite and efficient . We will return again .

Cheeky meal with my lovely wife to finish off the Christmas holidays

Not been to the Fox for a while as previously we thought standards had dropped, and its certainly not a patch (in our view) since the heady days when C&B brand was under Spirit Group ownership. However, we were pleasantly surprised this visit and enjoyed our meals although we thought the menu was rather limited unless you wanted a Sunday roast but this might be due to the fact it was a Sunday evening? Some of the main meal prices are extortionate in our mind and unwarranted from what is effectively simple pub grub - shepherds pie at £23.99 & £15 burgers.

It was awesome, tried Sunday roast beef dinner and was perfect and delicious. Ambience was very comforting and good vibes.

This week place just has it right. I go to a lot of restaurants (because I’m lazy and hate to cook) but this is my favourite. I don’t go often as I do find it pricey compared to other venues. But you pay for atmosphere and service here for sure. Food is always brilliant and the staff must be the happiest in the West Midlands. I wish I could afford to eat here everyday. It’s my go to for date nights and family birthdays though. Thank you to Christy and I think grace? Served us tonight with a genuine smile and genuine conversation. The manager here should be proud of his team.

Lovely atmosphere and great with crackers for Christmas. Seemed very short staffed but the service was really good. Only tiny thing was the side of cauliflower cheese doesn’t specify it’s not with “normal cheese” so all three sides ordered were left which was a waste of money. Other than that it was a lovely Boxing Day meal and our waiter was lovely

Stopped here before Xmas on are way to Gatwick Truly beautiful food and service and highly recommend to anyone passing, good value and the food and service is on par 10/10

We enjoyed a Christmas lunch here last week. What a treat! The food and mocktails were delicious. The restaurant was beautifully decorated as well as having newly laid carpet. It wasn't that busy but a special shout out must go to Karen our waitress who was extremely helpful, jolly and attentive! I cannot highly recommend this restaurant enough. It is a great venue for for all group sizes. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

We sat by the roaring log fire and had a really amazing experience. The food was excellent, good value and the service was outstanding. If you are looking for somewhere to take the family or for a special occasion with someone you love, then the Fox Inn is very special and the perfect location.

Lamb shank shepherds pie was beautiful, fell off the bone, lots of flavour. Great portions. Staff bubbly and friendly, service was quick. 100% recommend and will come back again!!

Stopped off today for lunch, and it was lovely. Sat by the fire, nice and cosy. Karen was the lady who looked after us and was polite and super helpful.

We booked a table of 6, 4 adults two children and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing, we had two course's. Definitely recommend.

We went to lunch here yesterday with friends and will certainly be returning. We were met and waited on by Amelie who was a very helpful and cheerful waitress. The drinks and food were presented nicely and Amelie checked on us several times to make sure all was okay. A very pleasant experience in equally pleasant surroundings.

My husband and I ate lunch here today. Absolutely amazing. The restaurant was immaculate and the decor very cosy and warm on a snowy day. The food was insanely good, and we recommend the belly pork and the steak & ale pie. Top quality vegetables and the meat was so tender. Our server was Caitlin and she was so welcoming, friendly, polite and nothing was too much. A credit to Green King.

I've brought my mum here twice now in the last couple of months for lunch on a Saturday. The Fox is a very welcoming and relaxed place. Both times we have been served by Charley who is delightful, very attentive and friendly. Food has been consistently good on both occasions and service is excellent. Keep up the good work team Fox.

I had a fantastic experience at this pub! I stopped by for a cappuccino, and it was perfect—smooth, creamy, and just the right temperature. What really stood out, though, was the incredible service from Amelie. She was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make my visit special. Her friendly demeanor and genuine care made the whole experience feel personal. I’ll definitely be coming back—this place is a gem! Highly recommended.

Read a lot of reviews on this place not sure if I just picked the wrong day but hear we go.me 4 members of my family had an afternoon at the Fox I was looking forward to it the staff were very accommodating and seated us at a window table the place was clean and tidy we were welcomed and offered menus and a drink i had lemonade but i think it was sparkling water with a slice of lemon and my brother who had it said the same we all ordered i had the crispy chicken burger which i think was lacking in chicken bacon and salad my other brother said the same the fries slid about on the plate due to being over cooked and not many of them the spicy mayo was lovely the BBQ sauce over smokey, the bun over cooked my brother had the beef burger and said it tasted fatty and the bun over cooked, my brother had the steak and ale pie and said it was lovely but the veg over cooked and soggy.....for the desert it was for the price small and lacking flavour as i and my brother remarked one brother had the Bakewell which he said was ok but was lacking something....so all in all i gave this a 3 star as i thought there could have been more on the plate and more flavour.....but the staff were excellent and very friendly and attentive but its all about the food at the end of the day...and what i had i can get at a mobile carvery store in Malvern cheaper shame as i said i was looking forward to it....still there are plenty more places to eat in the area which we tend to try....Nice place to sit and chat....thank you to the waitress who was lovely................M.G

Absolutely 5 star service. After a weekend of walking in the Malvern Hills, we came across those pub, with a short but unacceptable walk back to our hotel, Karen (best front of house staff in the world) offered to drive us back to base. Great food and drinks and even better service!

Had dinner early this evening and the staff were great! Food was way below average. Pieces of meat were 2 x palm sized pieces, dried up, dried up roast potatoes, undercooked cabbage, dried, chewy Yorkshire pudding… but the plates were hot!

A small group of us recently decided to walk all of the Brecon Beacons. As we currently live in East Anglia, this has resulted in a lot of road trips! The first time we visited, we chose The Fox Inn based on a quick Google search on the way home. We loved the cosy, warmly lit and welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and wide range of food and drink - so much we've returned multiple times! Between us we've tried a decent variety from the menu, all of which has been cooked perfectly and was incredibly tasty. The steak I had last time was a great cut and very tender. The burger the time before was made from quality meat and was very juicy! Both came with a good amount of sides (I couldn't quite finish my chips, although they were delicious). It's a great place to stop near the England/Wales border. We've got a few more walks left to do, so may well see you soon!

What a find, hoping to move near here so we were looking for a nice pub! Well we found it, walked in and looked lovely, think first impressions always count! Charley showed us to our table, was straight on to making sure we were comfortable and took our drinks order, ordered the sirloin steak and salad, you would think this is easy! No every restaurant/pub we go to can’t get there head round no chips onion rings or mushrooms, end up with tiny rocket salad! Not here a beautiful salad with everything even radish and the most Devine salad dressing! Well done! Husband had toad in the hole with extra gravy and mash, he Said it was the best! The fox inn you should be very proud your staff and dining experience was the best!

Last night was very disappointing. A fair amount of fat and gristle in both our steaks and at £20 for an 8oz was not what we expected based on a previous visit when it was free of any waste. With sauce, mushrooms and onion rings we were £30 each. Deserts were great. We did comment on the steaks but there was just an apology from the server, who was very good and personable. We also had a dry brown leaf on one meal which appeared to have maybe come from a tree or shrub - why we have no idea and neither did the waitress. Not sure we would go back again as there are a wealth of very good alternatives, if we did would certainly avoid steak. Plenty of parking and a great atmosphere.

Booked a table for Friday at 7, when we arrived the gentlemen greeted us with there is a 45 minute wait for food due to walk ins, surely if you have a table booked you shouldn’t be expected to wait that long for food.

I love this place friendly from the moment you step in. My meal was excellent. Lunchtime menu great. Facilities for wheelchair were good. i.e. easy access in and out, plenty of room in seating area, restroom facilities and space for wheelchair good.

Great pub. Up till now have always had good food. Called in at 7 one Sunday evening recently and I think the roast potatoes were cooked for midday and kept warm. They were so tough. Otherwise food was good as usual.

Lovely country pub, all of the staff were very attentive. The food was absolutely lovely and was of a good quality. Charley was our waitress and is a lovely pleasant lady who just makes you feel so welcome to the venue.

Foxinn lovely pub. So glad we chanced upon it. It seemed to somehow be modern and traditional at the same time! Best of both worlds, the food was certainly out of this world good. Pub grub meets gastro. The staff were wonderful offering us a bar tab to settle at the end , despite them knowing we were not local and from that there London Town and hence prone to walk off without paying . Obvs we didn't, we're not all animals you know. Great, truly great pub. Loved it.

Stopped here on the way back from the nursery run this evening as we'd had a minor car accident on the way there and needed a beer! They were currently suffering a power cut but still supplied us with a drink anyway, I had to leave before the power came back on due to a tired little man, but promised to return to pay for our drinks and they were very accommodating. Very few places are so personable these days, thanks again. Your kindness was just what we needed. I'll be back!

What a amazing place, The staff are second to non, Kate, Liv and Grace were superb.nothing was to much bother. Took a party of 6 wheel chair users all with LD with staff . Food was geat, big portions, will definitely visit again, Grace is a future manager for sure ;-)

Found this beautiful pub on our way home from Wales. August bank holiday, we stopped here for dinner. The food was delicious! Steak and ale pie, which my husband said the best he has ever had. I had grilled sea bass cooked to perfection. We were well looked after by Liv, she was lovely. Thank you!

Here on a holiday and honestly couldn't have picked a better pub/restaurant. I'm a very fussy eater so many of the options were off the table for me, but the halloumi fries and spiced sweet potato were perfect! My partner had the 28 matured steak and was very happy with his medium rare. I don't usually review but this place is definitely worth it

We popped in for a couple of drinks on our way home this evening. We were served by Kate. She was super friendly and helpful whilst staying professional. She definitely made us feel welcome and because of that we will be back! Next time we will stay for food.

Lovely pub, especially in the summer with its hanging baskets. There's a beer garden & function room. Inside was a relaxed atmosphere with nice decor. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The food was excellent. Reasonably priced

HBH and family lunch out. Great venue, typical modern English pub atmosphere. Inside and outside dining area. Allergy App for use, explained by helpful staff. Steak was good. Recommend the Smothered chicken. For Dairy allergy folk the Vegan Bakewell Tart with coconut ice cream is highly recommended. Noisy background music we found a nuisance and prevented easy conversation within our hearing challenged party.

Superb tasty food, great value! Brilliant service, had lots of substitutions in 2 meals due to following Slimming World and nothing was too much trouble. For instance, two of us had gammon, chips, egg, peas and pineapple. I swapped my pineapple for an extra egg, the chips for 2 baked potatoes (usually reserved for the kids menu!). My mum swapped her peas for a side salad and had the extra egg instead of pineapple. Our order was taken quickly and efficiently with no fuss or umming and ahhing, they were very accommodating and the food was fabulous! The gammon and the eggs were cooked to perfection and so tasty. Baked potatoes wonderful. My dad had the smothered chicken and the salted caramel sundae, he assures me both were amazing (they certainly looked and smelled it!!) Will definitely go again!

My.partner.and I went for a meal on Tuesday ..... never had such awful.food. Smothered chicken ordered, chips bland as if been cooked then dipped in water, the onion rings were the same. Mayonnaise looked and tasted.like egg whites with no taste at all. The chicken was tough. I won't eat there again well I didn't eat it this time. Not very good and would not recommend.

Went in today for lunch at 1pm. Had our order taken for drinks starters and mains. Walked out after 45 minutes as not even our drinks had arrived. Only one of us who managed to eat was our 7 month old baby. Used stop in regularly but won't be going back

After visiting The fox many times over the years we had an encounter with a rude manager a few years ago so never went back. Decided to give it another try as we’ve always liked The fox but now I wish we hadn’t bothered. We arrived to a very quiet lunchtime on a Monday and was seated with our drinks order taken very quickly and we also ordered the food at the same time, We waited and waited and almost felt like staff had avoided us for quite a while. After well over 40 minutes of waiting we decided we’d had enough and went to pay for our drinks. We told the waitress we couldn’t wait any longer only to be told ‘oh they’re now plating your food, we’ve been busy! ‘ We won’t be returning again not matter how good the food might have been if we actually got it.

Our first visit to The Fox and it was an excellent experience. We were looked after by Ellie, who was absolutely fantastic. She was pleasant, extremely polite, and nothing was too much trouble. Our meals were all very high quality and served piping hot. The portions were a good size, and even the extras were reasonably priced. We will definitely be visiting The Fox in the very near future, and we will be recommending it to all our friends and family.
