Good quality food as usual, can’t go wrong with penn best in the area or even the city.

Heart attack on a plate. 4 of the 5 curries had enough oil I was worried America would personally invade my home. My regular local and totally below par and standard, waste of mo ey food not edible due to grease. Had to get another takeout from elsewhere.

great warm food but massively operpriced now. £74 for 4 meals sharing sides aswell is eating out prices. No free poppadoms, salad or mint sauce. We arent massive customers and only order when main boxing events are on but wont be ordering again. Greed.

Wow, amazing restaurant. Service was top notch and the atmosphere was brilliant. The staff were not overbearing were on point and highly attentive. In terms of the food, the menu is broad and caters for all tastes. All in all a brilliant place

Ordered over the phone and had problems with my card .So I apologise and then they rang me back and I said that I had actually got enough in cash and they delivered and the food was really good .My Partner used to do the advertising for you a Mr Simcock. He always says your food is the best.

ordered from here a few weeks ago and they missed off a naan bread which they said they'd put on the next order so when we ordered we called them and they said they'd send one with this order.. they forgot it again. the portion of chips was also half the size of normal and we asked for no coriander on one of the curries and they didn't take it off like usual. disappointed as usually a great takeaway

El servicio y los precios en este restaurante lamentablemente lo decepcionaron. Con más de una hora antes de recibir nuestra comida, y otra hora antes de que llegara la red, estuvimos en el restaurante dos horas y media durante dos platos, y tuvimos que pedir contenedores para llevar ya que se nos acabó el tiempo. También nos cobraron casi 10 libras por un solo aguardiente y mezclador, que parecía muy caro! Así que desconfiaría de qué bebidas pides si te sientas. Y como estábamos en la era de los restaurantes terminamos gastando una fortuna sin saberlo. Como disculpa por el tiempo esperado, nos ofrecieron un 10% de descuento en la factura de la comida. Pero ni siquiera cubrió dos copas. La comida es un poco más cara también que el indio promedio por aquí, pero la comida siempre es agradable, así que ese lado estaba bien.

We went on new yrs eve 2024,last night,had a cracking meal,as soon as we paid the bill,which was £88 but i gave them £100,a staff member came over and said drink up we want youre table now can you go,we hadnt finished our bottle of wine or pint by then,no where near,we booked for 7pm,this was now 8.30pm,absolutely disgusted with how he spoke to us,wont be going there again.

Normalmente ha sido un buen restaurante, pero los estándares se han deslizado. Pedí una comida para llevar para recoger en NYE, elegí una hora para recoger esa noche. Pedido temprano por la tarde para las 7. Recogida de 35 pm. El pedido no estuvo listo hasta las 8. 50 pm y descubrió que nos faltaban fichas al desempacar. No se molestó en llamar ya que mi marido no iba a volver después de pasar una hora y veinte minutos allí. Sin disculpas, sin descuento, beber mientras esperas o incluso algunos poppadoms. La comida era grasienta, era tibia y en general decepcionante.

Visitamos este restaurante cada año en Nochebuena y este año no fue la excepción. Pero este año pareció haber un cambio significativo a peor. La comida era muy buena y el menú no ha cambiado. Los camareros en el pasado eran hombres mayores que eran amables y más atentos - esta noche me sorprendería si hubiera un camarero mayor de 25 años. Habíamos terminado nuestra comida a eso de las 10 : 15 pm y a esta hora el restaurante estaba vacío. En años anteriores el restaurante todavía estaba bastante lleno en esta época. De repente nos presentaron la factura - la primera vez en un restaurante cuando no nos habían ofrecido dulces o café. Se sentía como si nos estuvieran echando y después de pagar £ 140 por una comida para 4 se sintió un poco mal modales. Supongo que nuestra tradición de ir al Penn tandoori tuvo que terminar en algún momento - vergüenza porque la comida sigue siendo muy buena

Ordered 18:59. Delivery 20:11. Original estimate just kept going up and up. My first bad experience from Penn Tandoori, but it was an absolutely terrible one. Consequently the food wasn’t particularly hot on delivery. Let’s hope this isn’t Penn Tandoori going down the pan….

First time here and can see why does so well, it is decorated with modern feel and all staff very friendly. Service was done efficiently without intruding and food was tasty and good portion si ZZ es for reasonable price.

Okay so I actually found a staple in my food? That i literally pulled out of my mouth. So that’s absolutely unacceptable, which is such a shame cause usually quality is so good. Very disappointing for £35 too

Had an amazing time. The food was delicious. There were great chooses from veg and meat dishes. There was 8 of us at the meal and we paid approximately £25 per person and that included drinks. The customer service was outstanding.

This was an amazing and beautiful experience. From booking a table online easily, to the amazing service, especially Rohan one of the waiters, even down to the small details of the candle in the toilet which my partner was astounded by. The food was beyond excellent and I can't wait to come back again.

Lovely guys especially Raj he made me a nice madras can't fault it nice peaceful music in the background makes you think your in Pattaya. I came back yesterday oh my Raj did it again made me a pathia I will remember for ever he even cut my chicken in to small pieces as I can't swallow big meats.

Absolutely beautiful as always. Chicken very tender and korma sauce creamy and sweet. Even my autistic son who is extremely picky loves your keema naan bread. Always fast delivery too and food piping hot. Thank you!

First time back here in a long time. Didn’t enjoy the food on previous visit. However, was lovely tonight . Spicy and lots of flavours. Dropped a point though cos the side of Bombay potatoes was tiny and definitely not worth the price.

Normally fantastic and worth premium to others. Tonight not good for the cost. No salad and raitha. Chips and Onion Bhaji were cold and hard.

Since I left Great Barr and the amazing Basmati, I’ve been searching high and low for a place local to me that can match the quality, now I’ve found it! Best curry house by far that stands up to the Basmati, it was warm, had huge amounts of flavour and overall excellent. Couldn’t fault anything! Def my new go to curry house!!

Did a hump night on Wednesday after 3 months and planned to go across the road to the Mount for a few drinks and end the night at Penn Tandoori. We arrived at Penn Tandoori around 21:50 and was advised that they close at 22:30. Bare in mind that I have never been here before so, we were escorted to to table (they should have told us that they are not taking further diners as they are closing) however, the waiter seated us and took our order for drinks which was fine but he stood there waiting and rushed us to place our food order. Despite the annoying behaviour, we placed our order without reading the full menu. The waiter then advised is that it will be about 20 minutes for the the food to arrive so we carried on chatting. The food arrived within the 20 minute window however their recommended Bangladeshi chicken dish was awful and full of ghee (fat) along with the my naan bread plastered in ghee instead of butter (mate I asked you for a butter naan). The saag paneer was not very tasty. We asked for saag paneer not palak paneer. We were presented with a bill totally up to £95 within 45 minutes of our arrival time. This waiter made a quick raise by not mentioning that we have to be out by 22:30. I am not being funny no wonder these restaurants are going bust because of the level of service offered by these imbeciles who start work at 4pm or so and want to be home by 11pm. Back in the days whenever I visited restaurants throughout Wolves we were welcomed with open arms and treated like royalty. The owners of Penn Tandoori need to read this and rectify the situation. The way these freshies are going there will be no customers. I will never be going there again. It a joke. The food and service were both below standard. If you can’t offer your standards then you should refuse entry. Bakwaas!!

Well I have used penn tandoori for well over 50yrs I praised this restaurant to everyone as the food and the sevice was fantastic....Well since the new owners have taken over it was not upto penns usual standards... booked for a booth when got there the was no booth available so sat down at a table ordered 2 drinks yepee it was I face that I knew I was then told we could have a booth as the was one had come available I said you can stick the booth where the sun don't shine....ordered the food which was fine I did ask for mine to be a mild pathia but it was far to hot for me yes I was asked if I wanted another one but declined.....another thing I saw was dirty glassed all on the bar I was just put off going back....well my suggestion is get ALI DILWHAR JAY JAYS DAD BACK AND ALL THE OLD STAFF BACK AND I WILL GO BACK BUT UNFORTUNATELY WE WONT BE RETURNING.......

Arrived on a quiet Thursday evening on the way home after visiting with family which was slightly surprising as this place was usually busy. Very poor service and management. New owner was incredibly rude and trying to avoid eye contact with our table. Other staff were pleasant though. Every wine we chose from the menu they didn’t have! Owner comes over with a completely different bottle of wine and tries to mask it as the one we orderred, saying “just have it, it’s the same one!”. Waited around 15 minutes after we’ve finished for someone to clear up our table. Not to mention the ridiculous beverage prices. Food was not horrible, but not the best we’ve had around the area. Dull atmosphere. Didn’t even ask us how our food was as the previous custodians used to. Tried to La Bise my mother in law on the way out which she didn’t really feel comfortable with… Not what it once was that’s for sure. Value for money? Definitely not.
