We used to pop in to Chocolate Strawberry Tearooms when visiting Pendle Village but since getting a pup we could not access the cafe through the mill. It has since allowed dogs into the mill which is a plus. We now travel (over the border!) and visit the cafe (outdoor seating only with dogs) every week and can honestly say we have never had a bad experience. The drinks and food are always freshly made and the service is excellent. A big shout out to the staff that are always lovely and friendly even when it's very busy.

Was here for breakfast and will never return as to start waitress placed her finger in my wife's breakfast, bacon was under cooked, sausage was tasteless, everything was coated in oil and to top it off toast was burnt so sent it back only to get 2 slices of bread that were slightly warmed.(surely it's a basic skill for a chef to cook toast) All this for £9.50 each, I know prices have gone up but at this price I was expecting a good breakfast not what we received No apology from anyone at anytime

This cafe is located inside the Pendle Village Mill and while shopping, the tearoom was a good place to shop for coffee and cakes.I got a latte and a Cherry Chocolate Cake. The cake was a good attempt at a Black Forest Gateaux style of confectionery. The seating is comfortable and the service is lovely. Overall, a good pitstop if you’re in Pendle Village.

My wife and I have just had a excellent lunch in the tearoom, the service was nice and friendly and very polite. We both had the Fish, Chips, mushy peas and bread and butter, the fish was cooked perfectly and it was massive. This restaurant is a must if you are shopping at Pendle Village. Thank you.

What a fiasco trying to get served, only one staff member taking orders so waited at least 20 minutes before she acknowledged us. It felt like they were trying not to give eye contact. After serving people which came in after us she finally came over to us and another family which had come in after us and then said they were before us because she had seen when we arrived. The ordering service they are providing is such a joke that needs reviewing. Ended up just having drinks and a toasted tea cake to keep us going till we found a more welcoming place to dine with more organised staffing

Having been regulars for breakfast, we arrived as usual only to be kept waiting to order (20mins) short staffed and busy. When prompted to go and pay the bill has gone up £4. Not only this but on arrival the portion sizes were not the same, small egg, tiny amount of beans & tomato same and noticeably smaller sausages also. Not going back again very poor experience. Their loss won’t be the last.

We ate outside in the garden centre area tea rooms the staff were adhering to the two metre rule and food was brought to the table along with cutlery condiments in paper bag . The tables and chairs were thoroughly cleaned and sanitised in between customers and the staff were helpful. There was no need to queue as the waitress came out to the table and a paper menu was available. I would recommend eating in this safe environment especially for people coming out of shielding

We have visited tis cafe for many years, maybe around every 6 weeks or so. Today was our first visit since covid. We were initially a little apprehensive but needn't have been. Much thought and effort had gone into making the restaurant/cafe as clinically safe as possible. Tables and spaces in between were well spread out. Orders were taken at the table. Customers were individually shown to the check-out to pay once the order had been placed We only had toasted teacake and coffee. Knives, and tea spons had been wrapped in serviettes and along with marmalade, sugar etc had then been placed in a paper bag.and brought to the table. Sanitiser was much in evidence. tables were carefully disinfected as soon as patrons left. Floor surfaces were spotless both inside and out. All staff were cheery and friendly. It is difficult to imagine what more could have been done to make ones visit safe. Thank-you.

We came here as a family and one of our party was vegan.Unfortunately there was nothing on the menu at all that they could eat apart from the veggie breakfast minus eggs & butter. The lady at the counter refused to make the breakfast without egg as it was past 11:30am and seemed uninterested in solving the issue.I have never been as embarrassed at an eatery in my life.If you have any dietary requirements at all I would avoid this place like the plague!!!This is the first negative review I have ever left on trip advisor.

The table had been reserved and was decorated with flowers for the birthday we were celebrating. Staff could not have been more helpful. Definitely on the list to visit again.

What a lovely experience. We met up in the mill itself and after a short meander we went for a brew. It was quiet at 10.30am but by the time we left at 11.30 it was buzzing. We had a brew and some granary toast. The brew was served at our table within 5 minutes of ordering but I had to go find the toast after 15-20 minutes. I wondered if the staff were depleted or whether it is generally a slow delivery of food. The queue at the counter got very long towards lunchtime and if the food was slow when we were early I doubted the coach parties would have time to eat. Having written this, I would recommend a visit as the menu was varied and not expensive.

We went furniture shopping and decided to stop in the Tearoom. Service was nice and friendly. Responsible prices for food, little on the expensive side for a tearoom but more like 'main' meals. I got Cumberland Sausage, Chips and Mushy Peas. The girls got a Beef sandwich to share. The food came very quick and was very tasty, only issue was Mushy Peas were cold.

We always visit the Strawberry Tearooms on Saturday on our way to Boundary Mill...the meals are excellent, the service is quick and efficient by friendly staff...it has a large seating area but it quickly fills around lunchtime ...there is a small play area for toddlers, there is a daily special...on Saturday it is Steak pudding, chips and peas, £5.50...which is great value..and a great selection of cakes and pastries on the counter..the toilets are spotless and very modern...the mill itself has something for everyone...greeting cards, ornaments, kitchen utensils, crockery, pictures, cushions, bedding, curtains, gents and ladies clothing, carpets and floor covering, furniture on the upper level, and a garden centre in the centre square...

Went for a spontaneous lunch while visiting Pendle Village Mill to the Chocolate Strawberry tearooms and had a great experience. The special of the day, cottage pie was enjoyed by one of our trio and looked delicious as did the Cumberland sausage enjoyed by the other member of the group. I had a lovely plated salad, a really generous portion with fresh and flavoursome ingredients. Staff were so attentive and the cafe had a very relaxed and tranquil atmosphere, overlooking the courtyard. We visit fairly regularly so hope to return soon.

A large area full of good quality products from curtains, clothing, shoes, kitchen utensils to sweets and jigsaws. The café was a real gem and our family enjoyed a smashing meal (reduced prices for two of us with "grey hair"). The store and café staff were all very helpful and we would certainly be going back whether it be to look for random gifts or specific items we require.

We like the shopping side of PVM, but the cafe however really lets it down. We were so disappointed to spend £6-7 on a sandwich each only to be served 2 slices of supermarket sliced bread with a very basic filling inside. Quite frankly, that's an absolute rip-off, and we definitely will not visit the cafe again when shopping there.

I ordered salt and pepper chicken that was fine. King prawn cashew nuts that was fine. Shredded crispy beef in chilli sauce, it was raised just big chunks of meat like stew nothing crispy about the taste was vile, if I lived nearer I would have gone back Never again I will go in when I’m up there and tell them.
