Ordered a fish strip meal deal, the fish strips were nicely done and the chips were to die for! And the curry sauce was really nice! The staff are so friendly and the service was top notch, I highly recommended it!

Came in on our way back from York! Fish was tasty and chips were light and crispy. Staff as always very attentive and want you to leave happy. Nothing too much trouble for them. Thanks once again.

Chips were soggy and looked liked they had been cooked more times than a smackheads brain !!!! Steak pudding done in microwave, i don't think even Marcus Rashford would let kids eat here !!!!

Stopped for fish and chips after a long hard days work, the staff were very friendly, and happy, the portion was really big for the price, less than £6 for really good quality fish and chips takes some beating. I will for sure stop there again next time I'm up that way. Over all highly recommended.

I started going to this chippy recently as a treat for my grandma to cheer her up during lockdown. She absolutely loves the fish and the fish scones even more so! The only negative I have to say is that one of the fish scones I ordered needed a couple more minutes in the fryer as the potato was a little "crunchy" . The staff are very polite and attentive and fantastic at their jobs. You can't expect the same quality all the time but don't let a bad experience put you off. I have yet to be dissapointed with their quality of food!

Love this chippy and can't wait for the cafe to open again so I can bring the family.The ladies are always cheery and helpful..nothing is too much trouble for them.Such a shame to see negative feedback as I have been coming here since it reopened and have always enjoyed it and so have many other customers who I know that come here.Keep up the good work and see you Friday as always.Special lightly battered please!! Excited for Fish Friday... Small portions for the price, dry, hard, cold chips.. greasy, small, chewy fish.. curry sauce was like manky off gravy. I couldn’t discourage more, my partner and I have two mouthfuls and threw it in the bin... Take yourself to Westmorland fisheries in skipton or the Frying Yorkshireman in Gargrave - 100000x better value for money, tastier and all round better. These are where I usually go but thought I’d venture out... Big mistake.Would not advise coming here

Once again I can't praise Kelbrook fish shop enough...Batter is light & crispy staff are brilliant & friendly cant do enough. Lots to choose from on the menu something for everyone. Pat mulligan.

Cooked in Beef dripping! Very tasty. Good sized Fish and the Special Fish is HUGE! The Fish strips are long and the kids loved them. Mother and daughter work behind the counter and make a good team! Will definitely be back.

Bit of a queue when we arrived just as it opened but well worth waiting for. The young lady. Ellie who served us was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed.Loved the Spam butty and the Fish is great and good portion sizes.Cannot wait for the cafe to reopen as we would definitely eat in too.Thankyou

First of all, I have to say how wonderful the women who work here are - they are always smiling, always happy and are just really lovely people.The fish was delicious - huge, fresh and really tasty. The chips are great and a good mix of big soft chips and smaller crispy ones.We’ve been twice now to pick up fish and chips for dinner at around 7-7.30pm and the food is always high qualify. Would definitely recommend and we will be back!

Wow! Awesome! Visited Saturday evening! The ladies were very busy but they made you feel welcome. The fish was gorgeous..the kids had fish strips and they were huge!! My husband had the Cheeseburger and said it was delicious! Will definitely be back! Thankyou!

We called in here 15 minutes before closing and bought a large portion of chips for £2.50- - - - we threw them in the bin as they were inedible, all hard and dry. We would have preferred it if they had said 'sorry, all sold out'.

I will always buy my fish & chips from here in future.Great fish& chips plus lots of choice on the menu,staff very friendly & helpful.I see that they have meal deals on now so that’s our next choice this week.Well done & thanks for bringing the shop back to life.

Called on Saturday for fish and chips - by the time I had taken the food home , 5 minute drive to earby ! It was cold , the fish batter was soggy and the curry sauce was like water and cold - we had to warm the food up - such a shame and a waste of money ! Won’t be going again

Lovely food once again at Kelbrook chippy, bought a lovely crispy fish! Bloody delicious! My partner bought a fish-scone with chips and she loved every bit! Chips were very very yummy! The free Scollops were a nice touch too- see you again soon!

Called today was really looking forward to them after my last visit. They were the worst I’ve had in ages, chips weren’t freshly cooked, batter was awful and both my curry sauce and my friends peas were watery and tasteless. That’s my last visit

Called Kelbrook Fisheries today, with my order. The lady was very professional and lovely when speaking on the phone, making sure I had everything I needed with options to wrap or boxes. I ordered a Fish Scone, Haddock and Chips, and Sausage Chips with Gravy Sauce! The food was amazing, chips were cooked perfectly, the fish is the best fish I've had, fish scone massive thumbs up... and my friend loved the sausage chips and gravy! Perfect food and service. Thank you so much ladies for your hard work, and service! I'll defo be back!

I used this chippy in the summer months it was an absolute waste of money the food was awful I spent over £30 treating my family to a chippy tea and most of it was put in the bin the chips were awful very hard the puddings are heated in a microwave not steamed as you would expect the fish batter was soggy the pie crust was like a brick

Can’t really fault it good sized portions and well cooked. We had the haddock which was in a nice batter and moist and a good portion of chips cooked to order with very friendly staff. And it was really nice for my dog to be allowed inside on a wet evening.

Not bad fish was a good size and tasty but chips and gravy in a cardboard box is not the best idea (soggy box by the time I got home) and only small amount of chips

Call at Kelbrook fisheries for a chippy tea on Saturday evening with being in the area... To be served the only thing I can describe as were burnt offerings + swimming in a dark brown grease so the whole meal went straight in the dustbin. Avoid at all costs !!!

Kelbrook chippy has just recently changed hands and it’s brilliant!! I got a special fish with chips and it was the best I’ve ever had!! Massive white flakey fish that tasted gorgeous! Best chippy for miles!!!

Well, not a good start, I thought I would give the new owners a try, phoned to place an order and was told they had run out of fish! 'Well it is the end of the week!' I was told, as though that is ok for a fish and chip shop. They also said they couldn't do any Veggie chips despite being told a few weeks ago that they would be able to do so.

Now under new ownership so give it a try. All the fish are cooked to order so they are hot and crispy but you have to be prepared to wait. We didn't try the chips but they looked delicious. Full marks.

Kelbrook Fisheries has been closed for a few months and now have reopened under a new name 'The Battered Haddock'. I tried it last night and the fish and chips were to die for I have not had fish and chips so good in a long time, I will definitely be going back regularly.

Was passing shop when decided hunger pangs needed fixing.Bought fish n chips twice.Had little wait but considering food was cooked fresh didn't mind.They were very tasty and not a bad portion would call again worth the wait .

When I was younger, this chippy was known for being the best for miles around, now it’s just average at best! Won’t be coming back! Such a shame

Been here numerous times and the fish and chips have always been great. I was brought up scrounging the at the back window of Harry Ramsdens in Guiseley - so I know what good chips taste like. But last two times we've had chips from Kelbrook Fisheries they have tasted rubbish; disappointing really because we used to love getting our Friday tea from here most weeks.

I you need just a simple Fish & Chips ... or another snack ..; this is the place to be.

Overdone chips only positive was that they were warm. How can chips be done so wrong. More like crisps. Terrible Has certainly gone down hill.

My family and I have ordered from here on numerous occasions but more often than not, the fish and chips have been swimming in grease so we don't order from here anymore.

Llama a esto una vez animaba restaurante esta noche y se preguntan por qué no había nadie esperando en el mostrador para ser servido y por qué estaba vacío en la parte del restaurante. Leer todos los mensajes se quedó en el lugar que pronto se hizo evidente que ahora era sólo un área away - aunque los clientes podía comer su pescado y patatas fritas en envases de poliestireno y tenedores de plástico con diminutas en la ex en el interior del restaurante. Había un par de apenas interesadas en las mujeres jóvenes que sirve y activa ambled el lugar y un hombre a través de un sitio trasero - aunque no había sentido de «servicio». La comida estaba bien aunque el lugar olía a viejo grasa pero esta vez altamente popular "fish and chips" y el restaurante tenía la sensación de haber sido comprado o tomada por folk que no sabía lo que estaba haciendo, y que había muerto de muerte. Si quieres tomar un Chippie Alejando comida superior, hay uno en Escocia carretera Nelson. La pesca es sin duda Kelbrook recomienda o no vale la pena una visita.

They have some of the best fish and chips in the area and the restaurant is always clean and tidy. The service is excellent too.

stopped here for a hip butty today whilst cycling. Chips bitty and crispy, felt like last nights leftovers. More expensive than other local chip pies for the same so will give it a miss in future. Overrated

Un " "fish and chips" genial" en la ruta de N. York de Lancashire. Siempre me parada para cenar temprano por la noche o a veces el almuerzo cuando viaje esta ruta. La comida es siempre recién preparado cuando pides, y la cafetería es muy limpia y bien equipada.
