Crispy chicken curry was absolutely delicious tonight and their spring rolls are the best anywhere.

Visited Peking Village following a recommendation Customer service amazing and friendly Ordered chicken and char sui curry mix, extra spicy Genuinely one of the best I have had and have consumed one or two over the years Rice perfect, chicken and especially char sui pork excellent, curry sauce very tasty 100 % worth the journey

Excellent food. Relaxed atmosphere.

A friend was raving about the takeaway from The Peking Village so we decided to give it a go. Set Menu for2 and a quarter aromatic duck. The service on the phone was friendly and informative, we were having a home delivery, a very accurate time for expected delivery given. The food was outstanding, delicious ribs, lovely duck,fantastic Kung Po Beef and Sweet and Sour Chicken. Not the cheapest, worth the money; we will be treating ourselves again soon 😁👍

Been going here for years and years and never left a review but felt we needed to after reading some isolated recent negative reviews here. We have *never* had a bad meal from here. Recommended are: chicken satay, cantonese duck, chicken ginger and spring onion, braised chicken, sweet and sour chicken Cantonese, prawn toast, crispy seaweed, char siou pork... amongst others. Recently have only been able to have takeaways due to Covid situation, but the food is delivered quickly and is very tasty. If I collect it, I always enjoy the banter with the well-known lady owner.

Dinner for 4. Disappointing to say the least. Dirty glasses , satay sauce tasted like it came out of a jar, but no taste, and the the chicken tasted watery. The staff only smiled when we came in and when we left. No interaction at all £90 with 4 soft drinks was not worth it at all Sorry but won’t be back. And wouldn’t recommend

This is our "go to" Chinese restaurant on the South side of Glasgow. Its a family run business that really cares that the food is to a high standard and that you enjoyed the meal. It seems to do a vibrant take away service but we have always eaten in. All the usual standards on the menu plus some fish dishes. We enjoyed the Aromatic duck, prawn in Ginger and spring onion, a starter rapped in Lettuce leaves among other dishes that were all prepared just as you would hope.

Pary of 12 We were warmly welcomed on arrival and as we had booked table was ready for us Staff efficient and courteous nothing a problem We had a selection of starters and mains chosen by the chief something for everyone Attentive but not overpowering attention throughout our dinner will certainly visit again

A local institution the peking village is a cracking Chinese restaurant. Staff are really lovely and friendly. Really extensive choice in the menu, even some dishes I have never seen. Food is delicious, fresh and bountiful. Reasonably priced for an evening meal. Highly recommended village restaurant.

Visited with my family. Been a few times but not for a while. Not disappointed. It’s lovely good old fashioned Chinese restaurant. Small inside. Staff very nice. Very relaxed. Good menu with all your favourites. Most mains priced around £9.50. Dessert Menu was ok could do with being updated. Good value for money. Spare ribs were amazing and would recommend Aberdeen Angus Beef Cantonese. Definitely will be back.

Hard to decide if we got what we paid for and shouldn't complain... Lunch menu served by a surly waitor. Could hardly be less interested. Food was just ok. We have eaten in the evening and enjoyed it much more. Maybe just bad luck or maybe they save their best staff for the evening.

Reasonable traditional Chinese restaurant

This place continues to deliver great basic Chinese food. All the old favourites are on the menu and expertly cooked. The satay was delicious as were all of the mains we tried. Desserts let it down, limited menu stuck in the sixties. Dessert menus also looked as if they had been around a long time and covered in food stains. Not a good look. However we had a great night here and will return

Soup was very bland ribs were tasty spring rolls very small. Was not very good for price

Enjoyed a birthday meal with family. Staff friendly and service great. Not many vegetarian options but lettuce wrap starter was delicious.

We were staying locally and decided to try the restaurant. There were a few other diners who appeared happy. Whilst they offer an a la cartel menu they also offer a set menu with one item only from starter, main and dessert for £13.50. We opted for that. My wife had chicken and sweet corn soup. I had sesame seed toast. The soup was too hot to eat comfortably and gooey. The thinly sliced sesame seeded bread was presented with a shredded radish that had seen better times only. Only when asked was a small dish of chilli dip put on table.

This Chinese is possibly the worst in Glasgow took 1hour and a half to arrive then the food was rank terrible!

Phone 30min before I when to.pick up my meal and still had to meet 30min in a quiet restaurant before it was ready.

Normally eat in the eglinton arms as I stay here whilst in Scotland. Got back to eaglesham too, late to eat there so tried the Peking village. Why have I not tried this before? Wow so full of amazing flavour. So much so I'll be back this Thursday. Delicious!

Hot and Sour soup literally did not taste of anything. Lemon chicken was soggy and the chicken was hard like it was out the freezer and microwaved. Noodles were tasteless and bland.

Visited for the second time with my son and his three children. Everyone was very friendly and the meal was excellent. I won't hesitate to go back again .

We have been going here for years to this wee restaurant and we have never been disappointed once . This food, service and not to mention Helen and all her staff are first class would highly recommend .

Surprised someone said 'awful'. It's an attractive restaurant. I'm sure the owner won't mind me calling her eccentric but she ensures polite staff and good service whether we sit in or get takeaways. And the food is fresh - portions sometimes too big.

Usually good but service was a mess on Saturday night. Local event saw full restaurant and staff couldn’t cope. Meals missing, no drink orders offered and staff pretending they haven’t heard you. Bad night poor management.

Used Peking village restaurant for the first time tonight, after reading the reviews was really keen to try, main courses were really delicious and couldn't fault them. Unfortunately the starters were a great disappointment the "meat spring rolls" consisted of cabbage only and at £3.80 were a disgrace, the Peking spare ribs were tasty enough but again at £4.80 were really overpriced as the meat on them was sparse. I contacted the restaurant to view my concerns and was told they would pass my comments to the kitchen? Not the response I was hoping for (an apology would have been nice) I would recommend this restaurant but just avoid the overpriced starters.

Had the set menu three course lunch today.Great selection of dishes available, at an amazing price of £7.50 for three courses. Cant believe that we were only people in. With quality and value like this, the restaurant should be queued out the door!

Long time since last visit as we moved away but warm welcome from Helen who never forgets her customers. But we forgot how fantastic the food is - best we have had- absolutely delicious. Midweek early evening menu great value £13.50 for 3 courses given quality and quantity of food. We will be travelling back across to Eaglesham very soon for next visit. Delicious!!

We enjoyed lunch at the Peking Village yesterday. Good food and good service in pleasant surroundings. Set menu offers a fairly wide range of dishes. Ingredients were of very good quality. Would recommend this restaurant.

A bit small and in need of upgrading but it is cosy with great staff and always serve delicious food.

Wife and I were out for a drive and decided to drop in here for dinner. Very glad we did! Got a nice little table tucked in a corner and had a lovely dinner at a very reasonable price. If I had to criticise anything it can get a little loud but not at all off putting so still gets a well deserved 5.

I have only recently discovered this restaurant thanks to a colleague at work. Since then I've been going every 1-2wks. It's worth the short drive from Newton Mearns to Eaglesham. The food is excellent. Very tasty. They have all the dishes you'd expect and as a vegetarian I am delighted at the quality of their bean curd dishes. Sweet and sour chicken and king prawn in black bean sauce are both recommended by my wife. I recommend the salt and pepper bean curd. Wine selection good. The staff are very friendly and it's evident that most diners are regulars with whom the staff have a very good rapport. That said, newcomers are also treated very well. It's a real Friday night treat going here.

Seen a few people putting stuff on about this place on Fb. I wish I never seen it. Went here on the way home and what a mistake. £30 for a takeaway is pretty expensive as I'm normally about £20 max at my local Chinese which is nice. £10 more for a curry that went in the bin. Pancake rolls were rotten. In fact the whole lot was rotten. Would I recommend not a chance.

Would never give this place my business again, food was average and owner tried to charge more than I owed and then when questioned became very angry and rude then eventually admitted it!!! She was so rude to the staff that worked for her too and I was disgusted at the way she treated them ....Cathay Cuisine in Clarkston is a million times better!

I found the early evening meal to be of very good quality ( and quanitiy!)...I also particularly liked the fact the children's meal reflects the variety offered in the normal menu....this was appreciated by the 'young man' (aged 8) in my company who commented that it was a nice change not to be limited to having to eat chicken nuggets or fish fingers!. Will definitely be back

This restaurant is the only one in the area. As a result it seems to be used mainly as a takeaway. The food is always tasty but compared to other chinese restaurants is very short on meat portions and is bulked up with lots of vegetables. The delivery can be awfully slow, at times over an hour! Pleasant enough but could be improved to make it a gem. Complacency has set in.

Came here as a party of several adults. Apart from the issues getting one of the parties a lemonade spritzer, the food itself was not up to the standard I expect from a restaurant. The noodles were undercooked, the prawns were rubbery (cooked from frozen?) and the sweet and sour Cantonese was bland and oily. We ordered 2 EF rice, 2 noodles and 1 plain rice but only got 1 of each (I didn't see the bill but hope we were not charged for these). The prices were double that of my local Chinese takeaway but the food was not even half as good. My family have been here before and enjoyed it so my brother wondered if it was a new cook or being a Monday, that the usual cook was off but he also was disappointed with the food quality this time.

Great high class authentic Chinese / Cantonese food beautifully served. By far the best in the area!

Excellent food but asked for two froed rice for us (two adults and a child) and only received one dish between us all.Apart from that was all good.Expensive drinks though. Three cans of juice came in at £6.90 or £2.30 a can !Thats expensive in my eyes.

This little gem serves up some great food and lots of it. Always consistent with quality and portion sizes. We stay just outside the Glasgow area and we are used to a fine selection of Chinese restaurants. To find such a good Chinese in a small highland village is a welcoming treat every now and again. Hope the new owners are here to stay!

We had a night out arranged near Eaglesham and were looking for a meal beforehand. This restaurant has been there for years so we assumed it must be OK. It was far better than OK. Staff were excellent and the food was very very tasty. I had a nice warm feeling in my belly for a good couple of hours afterwards. We will definitely be back if we are close to Eaglesham.

Went with a friend for a super lunch £6.50 for 2 courses or £7.50 for 3. All the usual choices, chicken prawn or beef.Started with excellent soup followed by lemon chicken. My friend had the sweet and sour chicken, both served with rice.Dessert of lychees and banana fritters finished off a first class lunch and a bill of £15 total.Excellent value.

Booked on the recommendation of a relative. Was not disappointed. The food was excellent and the service impeccable.

Booked late and didn't have time to linger but had a lovely meal with a group of 6 family members.....all our meals arrived at the same time which can be a problem. Good, well cooked food, decent portion sizes and good value. 2 courses and a couple of drinks each...mainly non alcoholic admittedly and the bill was £120. Would be happy to go back when we're having a more relaxed evening and enjoy this place again.

My wife's cousin was visiting with her husband from the USA for the first time. Thought that it would nice to take them out for dinner with our family.Table was booked for 8.30pm on a Sunday.Children ordered the food for 6. As they were not that busy, it wasn't long before the starters arrived. They were excellent. Couldn't wait for the main courses to arrive which wasn't long.We all agreed that the food was excellent. As always, this was matched by great service.We don't visit often enough but, we are never disappointed. Make sure that you make a reservation.Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed my meal at this restaurant last week. Good was excellent and service was quick. Did laugh when my partner asked what type of red wine the house wine was and he got told items 'a nice I e' haha however it tasted just fine. Would recommend.

Sitting in the doorway in the cold for takeaway not ideal, did not give good impression from the start then had to open restaurant for someone to attend to us although restaurant was quiet. Ordered food, served in good time, minimal rice and minimal prawn crackers given in a portion! Chilli Crispy beef was crispy with an odd Non chilli sauce of few spoonfuls which was really a brown soya sweet sickly sauce!!! Maybe glad there's was just a small amount. I had high expectations as on trip advisor it was 4/5 maybe restaurant food differs!Very disappointed.

They do dine in and takeout. We went as a family of 5 for dine in. The food was delicious and came out in decent timing. The prices were good and had a large variety of pricing options.

The owner was courteous and polite, took our order with precision and our requests were absolutely exact to how we wanted each meal done. I had vegetarian, gluten free, and it was honestly the easiest thing to order[normally it takes me ages to explain in detail, how my food has to be prepared and what gluten free actually means] so it was such an easy and pleasant experience. Great atmosphere, and clean surroundings. Staff were polite, happy and pleasant. Easy to park in their car park. I would recommend this highly on my top chinese to try list.... although... perhaps a bit more expensive than other chinese, but well worth every penny

I had the Kung Po chicken, which was light and delicious. My daughter had the satay chicken which was also well done.

I went in for their Lunch menu, at £6.50 for 2 courses or £7.50 for 3 courses (Tea or Coffee can count as a Course) and I,wasn't disappointed.Staff member was kind, courteous and attentive without being overbearing.The food, especially when considering the price, was marvelous. I had Chicken & Sweetcorn Soup followed by Beef Chow Mein (see pic). I was offered the Chow Mein as dry or with sauce. As you can see I chose the dry and it was lovely.Before I even left, I had begun messaging my friends to recommend the place.

A friend recommended this restaurant, as its a long time since I had a lovely dine in experience with Chinese cuisine in Glasgow.We took a number 4 bus from the Southside of Glasgow to reach our destination.It was a scenic route out of the city, and we were greeted with a friendly welcome when we arrived..The food was fantastic, and the service effortless.Helen, in charge of the house was a spectacular host.Lovely night out.

Good find the food at the Peking village is very nice indeed and reasonably priced various soups appetisers Peking duck good selection of main dishes plus vegetarian options I chose salt and pepper chicken pieces plentiful well seasoned not greasy with a side salad for mains Kung Po combination and Szechuan combination plenty of chicken beef prawns and char su pork Singapore noodle and special fried rice delicious only serve bottled beers usual wines and spirits friendly service was superb couldn't do enough for you will be back when in the area
