Awesome wee Chinese right in the heart off Lochgilphead . Beef green pepper and black bean sauce was delicious . So was the chicken maryland . Great portions and excellent flavours

Absolutely shocking service, would not recommend at all. Have ordered from here plenty previously without an issue. Until tonight, ordered food for it to not turn up at all & then be called to be told that we never answered the door, the door never chapped, we have 2 dogs & would've known! Were asked to look out for a delivery driver who again never turned up & had to call back again to chase up what was actually happening & then talked to in the worst manner. Terrible customer service, the standard has went way downhill & we will not be back again

Ordered and it arrived , with in the hour , disappointed is not the word . For the second time the food is sub standard . Chips raw , onions uncooked . To top it all the food was covered in my sweet and sour sauce , making the chicken balls soggy . The last time it was two hours late and cold when arrived . I phoned and to be honest it was lip service . Don’t take the orders if you can’t deliver !!!

Pre ordered dinner at 5pm for delivery at 7pm, called up just after 7 to ask how long it would be to be told it wouldn't be delivered until atleast 8pm. Extremely disappointed as we order from here frequently. Will not be placing another order from here again. Terrible service. What's the point in pre ordering 2 hours in advance if the restaurant cannot fulfil its promise.

Best takeaway Chinese in killie bar far, a do alot of eating and there's not one that comes close, big Kenny and his staff are doing a great job

Have had umpteen meals from here ,usually very good , but last twice I have noticed the curry is very peppery, getting to the stage it isn't enjoyable.

Been getting deliveries twice a week approximately £40 inc tip to driver for 2years plus I don’t eat chips due to health reasons so made my usual order chicken curry with chips for my wife and my usual chicken balls curry sauce and fried rice It gets delivered quickly as usual I opened my order and to my surprise they had gave ME CHIPS with the curry balls I called shop to tell them and the Male whom took my order answered so I explained error and with no thought he defensively replied he wrote down what I said RUBBISH why would I order something I’m not aloud in my diet he’s always been a nice guy but his arrogance sickened me and I hung up you cannot converse with someone who believes he is infallible To this end the seagulls got the chips and I enjoyed my chicken ball n sauce with uncle bens rice They won’t be getting anymore of my money due to poor treatment from the Male counter assistant This is how HE TREATS LOYAL CUSTOMERS

Horrible attitude to loyal customers, instead of admitting sending wrong order insisted that it was my fault that I received food I don’t eat. Complete joke will be avoiding in future.

Good food, best in the area in my opinion.

First and last time we will use this Chinese. The chicken we had was in our opinion off. It had a terrible metallic, chemical taste. It was so bad that it had to be spat out. (probably a good thing as I believe that we would have been ill if we had eaten it). Absolutely disgusting. Will be referring to environmental health to investigate.

Take away cash only business. Usual front room with counter with kitchen in a separate room behind the counter. People behind the counter friendly & professional. Food good and they have a varied menu. I phone in my order & its normally ready when I get there. If you drop in they have a TV on that you can watch it normally has sub titles on. Once when I was there a guy handed over two twenties stuck together & didn't realise it. The guys behind the counter pointed this out to him & returned the twenty & his change which impressed me with their honesty. Anyway food good, efficient & friendly service.

Regular visitors, 1-2 occasions the food has been overcooked in 10 years, once with duck and again with sweet and sour dish, the rice can be dry but we choose fried rice, I guess it is what it is. We’ve tried other Chinese takeouts which are more expensive for the same quality food. Every takeout comes under pressure during busy periods, I’ve watched and ordered food during busy periods and it’s always been consistently good. The reason for 8/10 is: 1. Don’t let your standards drop during busy times. 2. Improve the fried rice Other than that, you guys are the best in Killie from those I’ve tried, well done and keep up the high standards and affordable prices.

Why bother walking in at 540pm for a delivery at 715pm. Then gave to come down at 735 pm and its still in shop. After I phoned and they hung up

I've been using the Peking Star for years and have deviated to other Chinese takeways always to return! The food is always top notch - have never had a bad meal from here regardless of what has been ordered.

Great service and food is fantastic

Have been recommended this as a great place to get a takeaway, however, I’ve tried many a time to call them over a 12 month period, and never got through to them, I think they must leave there phone off the hook...take your phone number off the website...they are obviously only interested in people coming into the takeaway 🤬

I absolutely love chinese food. I eat one around 1-3 times a week. I’ve ate from most places in kilmarnock but the peking star is the best. The salt and chilli chicken is absolutely amazing. Even the thought of one has my mouth watering. Literally all my family and friends go here and refuse to go else wear. There won’t be another chinese to ever even come close to having competition with the Peking Star.

Bought a beef curry, the beef had no flavour and the curry tasted like it came from a packet the rice was overcooked and stodgy

Really good local Chinese takeaway.

When visiting relatives, we decided on a takeaway rather than have our host cook. When it was delivered, it was brilliant. One of the best Chinese restaurants I have had a takeaway from in many years. I went for a simple chicken curry (a good comparison dish) and it was well cooked, loads of chicken and a sauce which was just right for my palate. Plenty of onions and a nice rice. Well recommended.

Don't get the fried chicken wings with honey sauce... there was a black weird colour with a smell 2 them had to send them back... Complete disappointment... There ribs were nice but could tell everything had been reheated... Might have been just a bad day cause usually there real good 😒😒

Would highly recommend this chinese takeaway food is always piping hot and really good cant say a wrong wrong word about it. Every meal ive had from here has always been really good and dnt have any complaints
