Great Wall in East Ayrshire

Never had a bad meal from here ...highly recommended

The staff were really hardworking and polite, although the server mentioned to me about sticking in school and not working at a Chinese, a bit negative. The atmosphere is not too much of a view, although they have a lot of cute magnets on their soda fridge! The seating was comfy, food was amazing! I had chicken chow mein, chicken was amazing but noodles could've used a bit more flavouring! 🖤🕸️

The food had been ordered over an hour ago so I attempted to call just to check everything was alright The phone lines appeared to be shut off and when i finally got through the manor wasn’t very reassuring or pleasant - they stated the driver had tried to buzz and couldn’t get in but the buzzer has been working fine all day for guests ect - the food came eventually but was very poor quality with crushed prawn crackers and watery curry. Second delivery driver apologized and was kind but funny how the buzzer worked then.

First of all , waited over an hour for food called the restaurant and not greeted with a nice attitude on the phone. Said that delivery was attempted but buzzer was not buzzed at all and we were watching. Had salt and chilli chicken and chips the chips were dry and inedible to say the least. The second delivery driver was nice and apologetic this driver buzzed. Not happy with the service or food will not be ordering again.

Food is absolutely stunning. The curry especially! I asked them to make my curry extra hot and it was absolutely on the money! Followed all my requests to the tee - so great service as well. Will definitely order again.

Always get from here, foods great and worth their prices

The worst place i have ever ordered food from. Took 2 hours to get my order. The woman on the phone was so rude telling me i had not paid when i had actually paid online. By the time i got the food my kids were in bed with no dinner. The food was awful and some of it stale. Spend the next day sick in bed caused by that food

The hot and sour soup was very good but the mixed started was a little over cooked and greasy but I would eat from there again

Have been here many times before as we enjoy their food but unfortunately tonight got an order in the order was sweet and sour chicken. I unfortunately had to phone and complain about it as both my daughter and I couldn't eat it. It smelt and tasted off. They were of no help at all and just said chef says chicken is fresh. Didn't want to see smell or taste it themselves. Won't be going back

Without doubt the worse Chinese I’ve ever had , ordered orange chicken . Sauce was like fresh orange juice and chicken had Pineapple in it ???Chilli chips where all black and looked like reheated . Waste of £20 sorry .AVOID ..

Hit or a miss. I have been going here for years but last weekend will be the last. Order food for 5 people, 2 of the 5 shared a chicken fried rice, these 2 were both sick within a few hours of eating it. The other 3 didn't eat any meat.

Food is always freshly cooked and very tasty. The staff are always welcoming. The best wee Chinese in Killie. I have been through the menu and never had a bad meal. Relatives from U.S. were amazed at the quality. Pancake Rolls are my top recommend.

We stopped getting on her a while back the we head he he’d had bought it over so we ha a meal and I was super ! However we ha a meal tonight and by it was disgusting , slim chicken and beef ! Exactly The same reason we Sopped before ! Cheap produce and very poor !!! WONT be back 🤮🤢

Just had a delivery from here. Used to love the food from here but wow how the mighty have fallen, everything tastes bland! Nothing to it, chips that are absolutely rotten, rice that tastes very poor, chicken satay very poor aswell. Not to mention none of my 2 kids have even touched their meal! Don't know if ownership has changed or that but honestly so poor, won't be back, waste of money.

Got a delivery through just eat, arrived in good timing (approx 40minutes) however there was a mistake with the order with the wrong sauce coming (sweet and sour instead of peeking). We made do with this anyway. I had a chicken curry with fried rice and my partner had salt and chilli chicken with chips. Portion size was good, could have easily fed 3-4 people. Price was reasonable coming in just under £20 including delivery. Fried rice and chips weren’t great and my partner didn’t particularly enjoy her dish however i enjoyed mine. I would get from here again although it’s not the best Chinese i’ve ever had thus the average rating.

Don’t know how you can call yourself a Chinese takeaway when you can’t even get rice right. Rice was hard, chips were so dry I could barely even swallow them won’t be ordering again. feel robbed.

Would never buy anything from here ,the woman that works in the kitchen walks to her work in the overall she cooks in ,bags the prawn crackers without wearing gloves ,if they drop them they bag them anyway ,they dont give u much in portion sizes and HEARD, they even had a junkie driver delievering for them until they stole money to pay the drug dealer but wanted the wee girl who worked behind the counter to pay the money bk if she wanted to keep her job as she was suppose to challenge a junkie ,SO DONT GO TO THIS CHINESE

I have used this takeaway several times and found it reasonably priced and fast but often lukewarm however the chicken and mushroom dish from the other evening did not resemble or taste like chicken. Even the dogs rejected the 'chicken ' I don't think I will go back. Upset stomach too.

Used to be great and the food is good if you can get an order. Unfortunately say you made 10 orders via Just Eat they would decline 9 of them, without even a phone call.

Really did enjoy my food from here until i lost a tooth eating a chicken ball, im not goin to lie it was an emotional time but im sure il get through it with the help of my dentist. Would highly recommend the food from here especially the chicken balls

Always went to great wall when we lived a couple minutes up the road from it as the food has always been great! We're still getting our takeaway from here even though we live a good bit away from it now! The chicken has always been fresh and the salt and chilli chips are fantastic if your really hungry and want a side. My dog loves the prawn crackers as well :) They do a chicken with cheese and cream sauce which I haven't seen on other Chinese menus, I'd def recommend trying this I get it every now and again for a change and it's really nice!

AVOID. Ordered through Just Eat which gave me an delivery time - which i accepted...Great Wall then promptly cancelled my order because they could not deliver at this time...instead of contacting me to let me know that delivery spot was not available and to arrange an alternative. The sniffing staff member was most unhelpful and would not even provide their name. Lets see if I ever see my refund. Avoid Avoid Avoid at all cost!!

This is the most and i mean the best Chinese take away i have used the staff the chefs the delivery team are excellent i stayed in orchard gardens and when i moved i thought they wouldnt deliver they did all i can say is 5 sorry 10 star setvice

Just received my delivery from the Great Wall. I ordered chicken satay, when it came it was slimy, rubbery chicken in a gravy and looked nothing like any chicken satay I have ever had. Boiled rice was hard and dried out. My husband's chicken curry was fine. I called to ask about my chicken satay and was offered a replacement but I declined. I won't be ordering again from here despite the offer of a free meal next time. Also the prawn crackers were not nice at all - thin with an odd flavour.

We had a first class take-away tonight from The Great Wall.This was our first time trying it and we cannot recommend it highly enough.Would not go anywhere else now.Friendly young girl served us.Food was freshly prepared and warm.Give it a try,you will not be disappointed.

Best Chinese in Kilmarnock bar none moved to Kilmarnock a few months ago and have become a regular customer there food is to die for and recommend the BBQ ribs and the chicken cheese rolls will not go anywhere else for my takeaway again 5 star al the way

Ordered a few times before and it's been ok till tonight. Unfortunately we just waited an hour and a half to receive 2 'super meals' which were anything but. They would be more accurately described as onion and grissle meals with far more onion than fatty grissle. NEVER AGAIN

Ordered at 4.55pm and got my delivery at 6.45pm! Fortunately it was still hot and delicious as always. This isn't their usual standard of service, usually they deliver within half an hour. They apologised and explained they were busy, however a discount to make up for almost 2 hours wait would have been appreciated. Still my favourite chinese though!

Ordered a meal for 2 for me and my partner. Stated it was going to arrive at 7pm but late - 7:30pm. Phoned to see where it was though friendly service inquiring. Dinner was hot, food was thoroughly enjoyable with prawn crackers and soup to begin along with beef and sweet and sour options for main and rice to go with. Very big portions of fried rice. Which is really good! Overall I find the dinner was great, delivery time and driver was adequate and friendly. I will be ordering again soon!

My regular Chinese from I moved to the area just over a year ago, find it hard to find somewhere better now and it serves the best salt and chilli chips in Kilmarnock! :-)
