Great food but expensive Glasgow prices, always a nice relaxed atmosphere, it's the best Chinese in Kilmarnock but definitely the most expensive.

Food was great, not sure if it’s a coincidence but me and my partner ended up with bad stomachs the next day unfortunately on my birthday. Service was not great, apparently they couldn’t split the bill between people and handed us a calculator to sort it ourselves so I’m not sure if I’d go back again if I’m honest.

Terrible customer service. Booked a table for 13 guests a month in advance. Turned up at the restaurant only to be told that there was no booking. The manager could not have been ruder, answering the phone whilst speaking to me about the situation. It transpired that they had entered our booking on the wrong date. The manager then said that someone had called me to find out why we hadn't appeared, a lie that was quickly disproved with a scroll through my call history. He then said that it was human error and asked me what I expected him to do about it. I appreciate that mistakes happen but there wasn't even an apology from the manager who could not have cared less that 13 people had turned up to his restaurant to be turned away. Basic customer service sadly lacking.

Took my kids here for their birthdays both loved it and staff were great. Nothing was a problem. Food was amazing and red wine was tremendous 👌 we will be back.

A posh and expensive Chinese. We had take away. It was good, but not as good as we wanted it to be after paying 55 quid for the two.

We were going through Kilmarnock town and actually came across this restaurant by accident the food was amazing the best we've had in a long time if you're ever flying out of ( Prestwick Airport ) cut off for Kilmarnock and go to this restaurant for a meal its so soooooo good I can't say enough of how brilliant this place was ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

We had booked a table for 5 pm. Went down the stairs, the waiter asked, "Have you booked we said yes, we had. The manager said well just put them anywhere, not a nice start to our dinner. The staff were lovely. The food was ok. It was my first time there? It will be a while until I am back.

A fantastic sit down meal. The staff were very welcoming and chatty. The food was a 10/10 and the aesthetic of the place was top tier also. Would highly recommend

Used to be thecplace to go but last night was poor, my wife ordered soup and when served we had to ask for soup spoon when main course came again we had to ask for cutlery

Food was excellent as ever, and serving staff were very attentive. The only issues we had was the staff member who took our booking was very offhand, and we were stuck at a small corner table.

The website has a table d'hote menu which represents better value, however on arrival we were informed it was only valid until 6:45. On questioning this (it was 6:47 or so), the manager mentioned that the menu only operated until 6pm. Neither of these times were on the website or the menu within it. The food was great but it was disappointing (and more expensive for sure!) to be told the published menu was unavailable. This time restriction should be made more visible on the website

Excellent food and service, and the company was OK as well

Been a few times but the past couple of experiences have been disappointing. The chicken curry was bland with little taste. The sauce was thin and the chicken tasteless. Also wasn’t enough of the sauce relative to the rice portion. Prawn crackers not great either. Sweet and sour was okay but nothing special. On a positive note, the service was speedy and the restaurant was clean. Also good parking nearby.

Disappointed, this is the only Chinese restaurant my husband will go to as he isn’t keen on Chinese food and we normally really enjoy it. Unfortunately this time we were left feeling disappointed in everything, our table wasn’t ready and we were told to go upstairs for a drink the service is really slow as the bar staff were under pressure, half an hour later we were taken to our table without any apology as soon as we sat down and opened the menu the waitress was there trying to take our order then again 5 min later. When we did give our order I asked for my duck to be done medium so it still had a bit of pink.. food came out and duck was over cooked. The staff don’t look happy at all. They work hard it’s a shame I felt sorry for them. Chinese take away for me from now on I think

Staff took order, but forgot to submit to kitchen, was there for an hour before eating, Far to expensive for what you get, also I think their food is quite bland

The most stunning interior very luxurious but most importantly the food was spectacular sauces 200/10 delicious made with love, chicken with lime skewered chicken, Szechuan chicken, fillet steak in garlic chilli sauce were out of this world and we have tried them around the world and la dragon best by far🙏

Ordered a takeaway & we really loved the food. We will order again & May dine in. They also have a champagne bar.

Went today for Lunch, genuinely think I’ve found our new favourite Chinese restaurant. The service, atmosphere & just the whole overall set up was great. Recommended to a few friends & family already. Although we are from the far end of Glasgow we go to the Cotton House & Lychee a lot but this is worth the journey down. Best salt & chilli chicken I have ever tried. The chicken curry is very fragrant but the right amount of flavours and spices. Highly recommend. Service was great too, just the main host & one other guy on today but very attentive and made sure everything was good/topped up. It isn’t the cheapest you will try but it’s the quality, you won’t find like this anywhere else. Looking forward to going back.

The atmosphere was very pleasant, the whole restaurant is very clean, modern and the team couldn't be more helpful and accomodating. The ambient temperature was very comfortable and cool, despite it being very hot outside. I have been a few times and never been disappointed. I will definitely be back

Loved the meal, only thing i was slightly upset about was we asked when we came in if they could maybe stick a candle in 1 of our deserts or just pipe happy b/day on plate for my daughter, said yes but didnt. This did not detract from how we enjoyed the meal and is not a complaint, but did upset us.

Food is fantastic and staff are great. But £38 for a bottle of Sauvinon Blanc??!! Chase yourself. £83 for 2 starters and 2 mains and a drink? Way too expensive for wine.

Interesting take on Chinese cuisine, good variety which was nicely presented. The service was a bit slow at times which would not have been a problem, however their were only three tables occupied in the section we were seated in at the time our main course arrived.

The owner is horrible to staff. One server accidentally spilt a drink and was looking around tear eyed scared of what he'd say. his face when he saw what happened was scary for myself a customer. He also makes you feel very rushed to eat and get out to make room for all his over bookings. I had the pleasure of sitting right next to the waiting to be seated desk. People turning up on time were sent upstairs to wait for ages due to there being "no tables ready" Very poor management skills. The girls serving tables were the only good thing about this place. Food is good but very overpriced.

Great for a special occasion. I bit more pricey than your normal Chinese restaurant. But the interior setting and food deserves the higher price. Great to go for cocktails in the champagne bar before your meal.

Отдельный плюс за невероятную чистоту, все поверхности блестели. Также порадовал очень внимательный и профессиональный официант. Теперь на счёт еды. Порция стартера небольшая, а вот основное блюдо огромное. Я еле как доела, и этого было очень много. Моя претензия в излишней европеизации заведения. Я не против отсутствия палочек для еды в китайском ресторане, но проблема именно во вкусе. Единственное, что указывает на «азиатскость»– вкус кунжутного масла в жаренном рисе. Совсем не хватило пряности, кислоты и остроты. Хотя, может шотландцам такое и нравится. Напитки вполне неплохие, коктейль Cinderella был кисловатым, а вот Pina Colada отменный.

Heard about this little gem when visiting friends in Killie last year. Managed to get the chance to enjoy the stunning setting and fabulous hosts. Great food and a lovely feel to the restaurant. Looking forward to the next time.

Food and service was great, a bit of a wait for food, but the restaurant was full and there was a large table in at the same time.

Visited Kilmarnock on Saturday the 21st and decided to pick here to have a meal. We were not disappointed, by far the best Chinese restaurant we have visited, food was 1st class and cannot recommend this place enough, hopefully we get the chance to stay in Kilmarnock again,if only to visit this place again.

Had a fantastic family meal (9 of us) for my brothers 50th. We had the event room, which was excellent. Staff were great and the food was 5*. Every one enjoyed their meal, will definitely be back!

A bit dissapointing booking was wrong expecting 6 when it was for 8 food average and not the warmest service was ok I think they were a bit stretched.

Had lunch in the restaurant then headed upstairs to the cocktail lounge for drinks.

A fantastic place for food and drink, and a best staff I have ever dealt with

Booked the VIP room for a works leaving night. Was told the restaurant would be catered around us. Unfortunately we were left feeling like the forgotten room not the VIP room. We waited almost an hour to get drinks and our order taken and then another 45 minutes to get some food. Such a shame that the service was soooo bad because the food was amazing and the restaurant is so beautiful. I understand about being short staffed, but to sit and watch the rest of the restaurant be waited on while we sat with no food or drink really put a dampener on our experience. Such a shame!

A great find in Kilmarnock. We loved the contemporary interior design, the staff were very helpful and friendly. We ordered chicken green pepper and black bean sauce, probably the best we have ever eaten anywhere. If you're in the area and enjoy Chinese food definitely book a table you will not be disappointed.

Ladys lunch. We went there for lunch and we had 3 courses for £20 per person, which was all right for the amount of food we got. All served with the highest care of details which was outstanding. Food was really good and desserts were amazing. Staff really nice, you could feel you are taken care of. Really recommend for any occasion, definitely will be back.

We went for an evening meal and it was fabulous. There was nothing to fault, the restaurant was spotless as were the toilets. The staff were all friendly and efficient and the food was perfect.

Poor customer service - vouchers Beware- vouchers expire within 6 months! and the restaurant would not extend expiry by a few weeks. This is despite coronavirus restrictions that have occurred and the restaurant being closed on occasion during the time the vouchers were valid. Very poor customer service and reflects poorly on the establishment in general.

This Chinese is ok. They forget to bring somethings to the table yet remember to add it to the bill.

Excellent food service and value second to none

First rating, not something I’m normally do but extremely disappointed. Second time here in a month with similar issues & service gone down hill. Place isn’t too busy, people here after us, receiving service first - happy to keep serving table drinks as a large table. Currently on a 1h15 minute delay between starter and main course, with no food in sight. No apologies.

A warm welcome, friendly staff, fantastic food and a beautiful restaurant. A must visit.

Family enjoyed a fantastic take away last night. As always this Restaurant continues to deliver consistently high quality tasty food be it within the restaurant or to take out. Never any compromise. The food was fresh and great sized portions. No complaints from anyone. Special thanks to Chris for his helpfulness in facilitating this in what would have been one of the busier days of the year. Highly Recommended. 5 Stars.

Food was exquisite: bursting with flavours and top quality produce. The satay, won ton soup and panfried beef were all excellent. The table d'hote menu offered excellent variety, with a strong Thai theme and a simple, sensible, good value pricing system. The malbec was an excellent and very reasonably priced accompaniment to our meal. Two substantial starters, two delicious and filling main courses and the bottle of wine came to £74 (plus generous and thoroughly merited tip, of course) represents Every aspect of La Dragon is most highly recommended - there is even a champagne bar upstairs for pre- or post-prandial enjoyment on site. We were there midweek, so did not sample, but it has an excellent reputation locally. From booking our table to leaving, we had the perfect dining experience. Reassuring, quick and simple COVID temperature check on entry. Parking is also available, right at the door and the friendly, efficient, yet not overbearing service completed the experience perfectly.

Been here a few times an never noticed the price of the drinks menu as it was lunch time we visited. Haven’t been for over a year or so I booked it for my three friend’s and myself for a treat, the food and service was great. However I can’t see the justification on the price off a bottle of wine starting at £27 an Prosecco at £35 on the menu with excellent detail but no alcohol volume content on the menu. We won’t be returning as we felt the price of the drinks menu was absurd. There serving a three course dinner for £25 an then expect there dinners to pay £27 plus for a bottle off wine. Ludicrous

Went here on sunday 20th feb for my daughters 18th with caitlin fisher michelle mullen jaydon mullen and lisa alexander absolutley out of this world the meal was outstanding and a big thanks to the waiters and waitresses, great job very polite, went upstairs to the champagne lounge and had cocktails wow mouths watering for another bubble gum dakari iced wow and last but not least thank you very much Chris for making our lovely cocktails and ure lovely manners 10 out of 10 this place is the nicest chinese ive been too xxx

Probably one of the best up market places in Kilmarnock. Food was better than your standard take away which is what you want as it is a bit more pricey. Staff were good and it's a nice place to sit in and dine with friends.

What can I say ..Delicious .. a little more expensive than some Chinese restaurants, but worth every penny. Lovely surrounding, delicious fresh food. You only get what you pay for.. my first choice for a night out .
