Peking gardens did it again, what can I say, fantastic food, fantastic service. We asked for one of the round tables as we had my 5 week old and 3 year old granddaughters with us, I was celebrating my birthday wow the best yet. Thank you once again, see you soon xx

We'd been meaning to try this place for a very long time and we finally did last night. Honestly couldn't fault any of it. Everything came out piping hot and fresh. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and tested delicious. Honestly couldn't praise this little gem of a place enough. Thoroughly deserved 5*'s. Staff were friendly and helpful, the place was clean and there was the right level of music with a fab buzzing atmosphere!

Always a favourite spot if we're over this way. Food isn't the the finest, but perfectly nice, but what makes this place is the staff. They are fantastic, work so hard, helpful and polite.

Absolutely faultless! Service and food were top notch. We have been looking for a new favourite Chinese since our favourite in Richmond has changed hands. The value for money, food quality and service we all brilliant. Was a little unsure that the quality and taste would be as high as we wanted, but it exceeded our expectations. We will be customers now, for as long as you are in business!

Welcomed by lovely young lass Nancy who showed us to a table of our choice. She explained the menu to us which was nice as it had been a while since I was last here. Place was spotless clean and tidy. Ordered a few starters and drinks. Then our main courses. Food was delicious and served at a nice temperature. All the staff are nice and it's good to point out as young people often don't get the recognition they actually deserve. Great price and a really good choice. Will definitely be back and recommend to others.

Food is good for the price, decent size portions and for the money, really good value. The best asset of this restaurant are the staff, they are really efficient and friendly, always happy to help, and there's plenty of them as well, so you never have to wait long.

First and last visit to this all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant with fixed prices. Under 5s eat free. Kids from 6-10 are £5 and adults just over £20 depending on what time of the week it is. What they don't make immediately obvious is that if you are veggie, which we were, there is a veggie menu for £18. We weren't automatically given a veggie menu, but thankfully one of the staff picked up on the fact that we were ordering all veggie stuff for ourselves (not the kids) and asked if we wanted one. We were not expecting to be able to eat as much as we wanted. We thought we had walked into a normal Chinese restaurant and we only picked up on it when the wife noticed that the menu had no prices! We're not the kind of people who stuff their faces so this was an expensive meal for the quality that we received and the quantity that we needed to be full. But, that was our mistake. It's just a shame that there's no other option for customers who might not want to eat £20 worth of food. For example, our local excellent Chinese takeaway (which is actually owned, staffed and run by people who come from China) will give us more than we can eat for about £10 per person. The quality was mediocre at best and definitely aimed at people who aren't after authentic Chinese food but simply as much as they want to eat as long as it tastes good and is served promptly and hot, which it is. I had a Sichuan veg dish, for example, which was definitely not made with actual Sichuan pepper (the real stuff numbs your mouth). It wasn't awful, but it wasn't what it said on the tin. The restaurant isn't as newly refurbished as the website makes out. The men's toilet, for example, had holes in the wall and some kind of sealant peeling off the door and hanging down into the doorway. The fact that the latter hadn't been at least cut off and removed by a member of staff gives some insight. The staff were cheerful and friendly though, and if you like listening to back number from Ed Sheeran's catalogue, this is the place for you! It just wasn't the place for us.

I recently visited peking garden having been recommend by a friend and can honestly say it was a very good experience the food was delicious and lots to choose from. And the service was second to none will defiantly be going back for round 2

The food was delicious, all freshly cooked. The service was quick and efficient. The servings were huge though so be aware that a starter is the same size as a main. Will definitely return.

Me and the wife went to peaking gardens last night, we have been there a few times before and it has been ok, but last night was terrible, the room we were put in there was a table plot 10 people all pissed and reality loud I am all for people having fun but the noise was terrible everyone else in the room was not happy and I could not even hear my wife talking who was sat opposite me, no one did anything about it so I asked to be moved, they put us down stairs on a table and when the food come it was cold then the table almost collapsed and the girl said we have had trouble with that table all night ( so why put us on it when there was other spare tables available) they then moved us again by this time the food was even colder and 8 different people had handled our plates, they never even offered us fresh food, so we just walked out, the place is looking tired and even the starters we had was not up to the usual standard, you should be able to have a meal in peace without drunken loudmouths spoiling it and management really only concerned about the money, I will say the waitresses were helpful and tried their best but it’s more like a cattle market now get them in and get them out it’s a shame it’s gone the way as when it first opened it’s was a decent place to go, I will never go back again

This was the first time I have used this restaurant/takeaway. My daughters have used it and like it. Ordered our food for a 6pm delivery slot and it turned up at 6.15 which was great. We ordered a takeaway last Friday, it arrived promptly. The salt and pepper chicken tasted of nothing at all, just dried fried chicken pieces, very chewy and totally unacceptable. The Yung chow fried rice was cold and lumped together, very little chicken, no char sui pork just bits of old pork with a few peas, it was awful.The lemon chicken was in a slimey very thick sauce, it looked liked a container of slugs, one piece was all that was eaten followed by the bin!I will not be using this awful takeaway again, the worst Chinese meal I have ever eaten, total rip off, I can produce far better at home. It was meant to be a birthday treat, stay away, do not waste your money. I will be using our normal takeaway once they re open, far far superior to this disgusting food we tasted.

We've kind of given up on finding good ethnic food in Teesside. It's the price you pay. If you're not besotted with a lump of dried chicken smothered in glutinous sauce and you don't worship the Teesside god of Parmo you're out of luck.They have no conception of a good kebab, preferring to put dried tandoori meat in nan bread instead of proper marinaded and chargrilled moist chicken in pitta with a proper salad. I despair. We've stopped trying Indian, I've never eaten worse, even at the places locals rave about.So, it's lockdown and it's my birthday and we can't travel to eat so we tried local Stockton Chinese and this was recommended. If this really is the best they have to offer for Chinese food around here then I truly pity the locals. Nobody could ever say this was decent, or even edible if they had ever eaten decent Chinese food. The whole meal was appalling. I ordered deep fried shredded crispy beef. It wasn't crispy, it was so rock hard and recooked that my teeth bounced off of it and there was not even a mild hint of chilli or spice, just a gluey, orange, tasteless sauce. This was padded out with a disproportionate amount of barely cooked lumps of onion.Also ordered Hong Kong style king prawns. They can't mess that up right? Wrong. Hard, old prawns encased in an uncooked floury soggy battery mess that was, again, inedible. Truly the worst sweet and sour I've even eaten and I've never been served anything so awful in any other place. Poor Stockton people but at least they have their Parmos though! The egg fried rice was just brown coloured boiled rice -no eggs, no peas as normal. Just a brown coloured mass of overcooked rice that you could pick up as one piece.I can't believe people around here accept such terrible quality. Not just accept but praise it! They need to get out of their Teesside bubble because this food is not normal in any other part of UK.

Lucky enough to visit just before the lockdown and had a faboulous feast as you can eat as much as you like for £17.99.Photo was took just after it opened at 5pm, by six the place was full.Lovely fresh food Looking forward to going again

Never used this take-away before so thought we would give it a try after reading the reviews.We had crispy duck as a starter, it wasn't so much crispy but more hard, very difficult to chew, not a patch on the crispy duck sold at a well known supermarket, My Singapore noodles were good and what I expected, my wife had chicken in oyster sauce, she added more hoisin sauce as she said it was bland.The prawn crackers were good but you can't really go wrong with them.Wouldn't go to them again, we will stick to our usual place.

We've been using the Peking Garden takeaway for about a year now and it's consistently very good quality and value. The restaurant just isn't worth it, however. It's basically the same food - but served for a flat all-you-can-eat price in a sparsely decorated three-storey unit. We went on a busy Saturday night; the place was full (a good sign) but was churning out dance tunes through its speaker system (less good). Service was haphazard; our two starters arrived nearly ten minutes apart, with the duck arriving well before the pancakes. Beers arrived at room temperature; a further round of drinks never showed up (but we weren't charged). The food itself was good. However, unless you eat £16+ takeaway food per head on a regular basis, this place just isn't worth the effort. Stick to their takeaway.

The food and the whole experience is simply amazing from start to finish, the staff are very nice the decoration of the restaurant. It’s always amazing food and atmosphere. One of the best places to eat in the area.

Tried takeaway, £60 quid CASH ONLY hardly no veg in meals just extra salt, one child later spewed up and one adult from other end. If you want quality and value for money (and not see it in toilet) try royal chef. Won't be wasting money here again!

Visited Friday 31st Jan. 6pm, super busy. The food was hot, fresh and very tasty. Recommend the satay chicken, yuk song, honey chilli chicken in particular but everything we had was lovely. All the staff were amazing too.

We visited on Christmas Eve for the second time and were again very happy with our experience. The restaurant was packed so the service was a bit slow however the staff were rushed off their feet and apologised profusely so can’t really complain. Food was incredible, served fresh and hot and at a reasonable price. We were so stuffed we couldn’t move afterwards. Will definitely be back again soon.

First time in Peking Garden and was not dissapointed. We sat upstairs in a room with a turntable which was great as their was a group of us and everyone could access all food. Great variety and plenty of it

Booked a table for 2 the day before, on arrival we were told there was no tables available except next to the main entrance where the door was wide open with a queue of people keeping the door open and it was the middle of winter and told that we had to wait for another table to become available.Not impressed at all and walked out. This was our first visit and will be our last.

Visited here a couple of weeks ago with friends. We were seated quickly and we ordered our first round of food. It came quickly and was lovely and hot. The ribs in particular were fantastic! Three rounds of starters later and we were stuffed. Everything was excellent. The girls in there are fantastic also; lovely, friendly, attentive, had good knowledge of the food they were serving and all had brilliant senses of humor. We will definitely be back.

This is a fabulous restaurant and can I recommend the chips. Order what you want from the menu, order as much or as little as you want. All they ask is that you dont order then leave it all. Have small amounts and if you want more, just ask

As someone with coeliac disease I have to avoid gluten which can make eating out very tricky. Phoned about a delivery and asked the usual questions about cross contamination and the girl I spoke to said pans are cleaned between dishes and she said she would tell the chef to use a fresh pan. I ordered chicken in black bean sauce and it was amazing, haven’t had Chinese food for over thirteen years as soy sauce is used in most dishes and it was every bit as good as I remembered. The rest of the delivery was normal and family said it was delicious. I will definitely be ordering again soon or even booking a table to try more choices now I feel it is safe for me to eat without worry of being ill.

2nd visit on the night of the firework display and was gorgeous again. I'm not even a massive fan of Chinese food but food here is delicious with good service and the girls who work here are fantastic...So friendly and can't do enough for you. Definately recommend

This is about the fifth time we’ve visited and it gets better every time.

Ich bekam eine Speisekarte ohne Preise und auf Nachfrage wurde mir dann erklärt, dass ich für einen Preis von 16,25 soviel bestellen könne wie ich wollte. Nach zwei Vorspeisen gefolgt von zwei Hauptspeisen musste ich passen. Das Essen ist lecker, die Portionen so, dass man mehr als ein Gericht schafft, der Service war sehr freundlich und schnell. Alles in allem ein gelungener Abend.

The food was delicious with great choice and so reasonably priced. The staff were fantastic and so attentive. We had a really great evening.

We had a fabulous meal, taking grandad for a birthday treat. It was our first visit and the group was aged 12 - 80! Everything was freshly cooked to order and delicious. The staff were amazing, all very polite and attentive. We couldn’t fault it and will definitely be returning sometime soon.

Came here for a birthday meal, we waited over half an hour to give orders then roughly another half hour for starters to come out. We didn't receive most of what was requested the same occurred again with mains which were served after another 30 to 40 minute wait only to be told as they served them that the kitchen was now closed.

This was the first time I had been after a recommendation. Excellent service and quickly cooked. Staff always on hand and courteous. Very busy place on several floors. Clean and tidy. Would certainly go again and recommend to anyone.

I expected the appetisers to be small but they are huge! We ended up having more starters than actual mains! We are not complaining though, Lots of choice and all the benefits of being a buffet without all the standing up and walking around!

Myself and husband went here for a date night treat after it was recommended by family. You choose as many starters and mains from a menu as you would like, so it’s a good way of trying different dishes. The portion sizes reflect this quite well, which is good as it means you don’t end up with lots of leftovers. I think we had about 8 dishes in total which left me feeling extremely full. I would like to come back to try a few other items, might even bring child with us, that means a few more dishes surely?!

First time visit to here with 3 work colleagues, 2 of which were up from other areas. We arrived on time (1930hrs) to find it very bust and our table wasn't ready as the previous seating hadn't finished which was a minor pain as there isn't any to wait. Once we sat down the service was good as was the food choice and quality was excellent. You can order as much as you want as long as you eat it all!

How wrong was I it's a fab place busy and very clean staff are loverly , and the food was lovely all fresh and menu is great , who ever owns this joint congratulations you got it right will definitely be back , had a great night

Slicker than most Chinese restaurants and with a good menu policy. Very fresh and well balanced cuisine with a good buzz. Plenty of punters which speaks for itself and well priced.

This was a returning visit and the format for the menu is more or less all you can eat. The prices are around 17 pounds a head plus drinks.

The restaurant is very clean and decorated lovely inside. Food was absolutely delicious, it was my first time visiting but i can definitely say i will be back again very soon. Btw the salt and pepper chips are too die for!!

I absolutely love it here, been here a few times now and i'm never disappointed. Great selection and the waiting staff are always so kind and helpful, making sure we're enjoying our food etc and asking if there's anything they can help with.

Visited this restaurant midweek tea time after recommendations from friends, it's small yet airy and extremely clean. The food was absolutely unreal...every dish better than the last. Our daughters, both picky eaters, one only eats beige food (like most teenagers, the other has a slight obsession with mushrooms (I know ) however they were catered to without a fuss, Sarah our waitress was fabulous, sorted for our eldest to receive battered chicken and chips which went down a treat and our youngest was delighted to get a plate of stir fried mushrooms and peppers! The adults enjoyed an array of stunning food and the price ...58pounds for 2 adults 2 children, 2 tango ice blast and a few beers was more than acceptable. We cant wait to go back!

We found this restaurant by accident and liked the look of the place. It was really busy and as we didn't have a reservation we had to wait a short time for a table to become available.

It was busy, an excuse for the slow service but not for the abysmal quality of the dishes we sampled.

We were at this Chinese restaurant on Wednesday evening 10 April, 6 ish, it was a works evening out sort of thing. We had a table of 14 people and it could not have went better. The 2 young ladies who looked after us were called Macy and Lea, they were excellent, professional, pleasant, and efficient…I honestly can’t speak any more highly of them.

13 of us visited here on Wednesday after work, it was excellent. The 2 young waitresses kept our table full of food and were lovely and friendly. The food was fantastic, if you don't like it, they'll make you something else, it was great, and the best crispy seaweed and salt & pepper chips ever ! We will definitely be back, Thank you.

Booked this place as although the adults are priced £17+ on Friday and Saturday, kids eat free and this alone with 8 adults and 7 kids swung it for us. Service was good (although a little slow on the 2nd & 3rd round of drinks). Food was ordered and portions were substantial enough and waiting Team happy to get more upon request. We spent over £175 and would definitely book again. One down side was that no draft soft drinks so 330ml bottles were only option or cordial for a pint.
