Peking Chef in Wiltshire

Just had food delivered. It's greasy, gristly and entirely lacking in flavour. Really very poor.

I just had an excellent takeaway from Peking Chef. The chow mein was delicious and the Peking duck was spot on. Will definitely be going there again.

Honey spice pork was horrific. Tasted disgusting, I really should of checked my Google reviews as I had already reviewed the place a few years ago and was rough back then too

Nearly two hours late. When I contacted them, excuses and rude to me on the phone. No compensation or good will gesture. I will not be using them again.

First time ordering from here as others in Melksham have been very disappointing lately. Hands down the nicest tasting chinese take away I've ever had. So flavorful and fresh, definitely my new go to take away.

This is now my go to Chinese takeaway I used to go to the King's gourmet but that has gone down hill in the last few years the food here is so tasty and the Singapore chowmein is by far the best I've ever had. have now been back again this time had the house special curry it was outstanding once again best ive ever had.

Ok ish food chicken skewers a few noodles £17 for 2 probable won’t use again

We have ordered here on multiple occasions. Seems they either deliver lighting quick or it takes literally hours. Still waiting 2 hours later for a delivery, can't get through on the phone, line constantly engaged and no updates from themselves (they also close in 20 minutes so we may not even recieve our order) It's a bit ridiculous that you can't even get through to the restaurant to resolve any issues. Not happy at all. Have given the benefit of the doubt in the past, but we won't be ordering from here again.

I would go as far to say this is the best Chinese In melksham, always used to use chop suey house, used peking chef as they take card payment or just eat, what a great choice will never go to anyone else.

Very greasy chow mein, wet special fried rice with more veg than meat. Wontons were just fillo no filling

Lovely takeaway food is always really tasty and hot on delivery!! Also they are living in 2023 and actually take card payments in house or for delivery unlike the others around here.. food is better too. Smiley happy front of shop.. makes all the difference 👍🏼

Was absolutely disappointed they delivered our food but never knocked to let us know it was here never had an update from ubereats app and that is very unprofessional and the food was cold

Food arrived within a reasonable time given that it's Guy Fawkes night and a Saturday. The food was barely warm and one item missing, so disappointing. I phoned to complain before we even plated the meal although I received an apology and offered 20% off my next meal, I declined. I told the Chinese sounding lady that I won't bother with this restaurant again.

Blandest thing I have ever eaten! Why would you not add the pineapple to the rice at the last minute? No flavour in it at all. No flavour of 5 spice in the crispy chilli chicken and the chillies lacked any heat. What a shame.

Mushroom chow mein, chopped noodles into tiny pieces, no sauce, mushrooms were non existent and was so salty it was inedible. Half a fork full and I fed the rest to the bin. No thank you, never again. Very very disappointed

The food is good Chinese fair, reasonably priced, but far from outstanding. To much onion is used to the point its gone way beyond flavour to filler. We make a point of asking for none, not as successful as you think. One cook is very good, and the other is awful. Beef still tastes of flour and under cooked. Don't bother ordering chips, as it is a waste of a honest potato, too many have suffered already, the gulls at land fill have suffered enough. The "chef" has just not got a clue what a chip is... I have tried asking, telling, now l have given up. After 12 months the person is consistently proven to be poor, now it's just a habit. Tonight's effort was the last straw, hard dried out husks, devoid of anything potato flavour or caramel crisp coating... Going straight through to starch based plastic. Prawn toast's burnt or dripping, vegetable rolls large under cooked, small over cooked and hard. If wet with sauce you are fairly safe... But tbh save your money from the other one if you have to have. Whoever is behind the cooking has to be stubborn, or own the business after so long. If you are a long term customer, you either have no idea. Or born in the 70's where the taste was beaten out of you. :) l suggests you try other's for a while. Please school this employee/owner on frying, as they don't understand the concept of cooking to a POINT! and not beyond. Or storing under heat lamp for hours is just wrong. The Chip are used as a measure of skill. If you can cook a good chip, you can cook anything. Your cooks still need better training, or another. How you stay in business

Told after 2hr 30 that the order had gone to the wrong address, they weren't willing to collect the miss delivery so assuming that person got a treat.. was told at 9 pm that it would be 1hr to make and send fresh food.

Had a Chinese Saturday duck was dry as anything like it had been left floating on the canal for a couple months after being shot

Ordered on just eat and order cancelled with no explanation or call... Disappointing!

Have had food from all Chinese restaurants and we find these are the best. Food always hot and arrives in good time. Tastes good and plenty of it will be ordering again soon.

This shop is very good. Food is so amazing and tasty!

I hate green pepper..... Oh and 4 chicken wings!.... I'm hungry.... And won't be coming back again!?.... Sorry,.... If I'd have know that the salt garlic chicken wings came with them I wouldnt have ordered them....very very disappointed next time I will ensure I get cash out and go to Kings gourmet!

Our order was worng I was sat next to my wife when she phoned it in instead of sorting it out the dummy told us it was our fault lost us for every and will tell every one we know about this and because there are advertised by Just Eat as you would expect their food hygiene rating is very low 2

There were bones in the chicken of chicken chow mein

It states on there website & Google that there open at 5pm Mondays this is a load of hog'wash.

Foods not bad. Better than some Chinese restaurants in the area.

First impressions very good . Chicken curry has a bbq/smokey like flavour which is nice . 5 stars for me

Lived in melksham for 6 years. Me and my family have eaten from all the Chinese around. But Peking chef is the best
