KFC Amesbury - Solstice Park in Wiltshire

Gravy box, missing gravy well done.

Went 1 hour before closing time and items on the menu was ‘unavailable’ as they had turned off the machine prematurely. In addition to our disappointment, we were asked to park in the bay due to the chicken wings needing to be cooked. We waited for 30 minutes in the bay and went to check at 22:00 but the door was already locked. Had to go to the drive thru window where the staff were just talking and admitted to “forgetting” to deliver to our bay. We have always liked this KFC branch but the shockingly low standard of the customer service is undoubtedly the worst experience at KFC we have ever had at any branch.

The service at the counter was really good. The tables need to be cleaned more often sorry to say. Drive in- I feel like the person at the telecom speaks to fast so it kind of feels like pressure so I ended up ordering the wrong thing 🤣. The fries are my favorite here well seasoned. Food tasted fresh and well made.

I recently visited KFC Amesbury and had a fantastic experience! The staff were friendly, and the restaurant was clean. I ordered a classic bucket meal, and the chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy. The sides, especially the coleslaw, were great, too. The service was quick, and the value for money is excellent. I highly recommend KFC Amesbury for delicious fried chicken!

Ordered food on screens for 5 people. Food arrived in 5 minutes to our table (with a smile) and it was piping hot and delicious. Amazing.

Drop into this place about monthly en-route on the A303. It NEVER has hot drinks available, just the fizzy pop choices. Costa, opposite, closed its doors in the evening, so I became a KFC client. Apparently the problem for KFC is some cleaning fluid for the hot drinks machine. Between Costa head office deciding that there aren't drivers in need of a break, and KFC head office not sorting out supplies for Solstice Park... we drivers are between a rock and a hard place! Don't even think about Greggs, they've no stock by early evening and close at 7 or 8. Between 3 different teams in head offices, they've managed to make Solstice even worse than a "Welcome Break"! Come on management, earn your salary, sort these petty supply problems out!!

Went last night, the food was disgusting. Over cooked chicken so the coating was rock hard. The chips were soft and spongy as though they hadn't been cooked in luke warm instead of hot oil. I'm sorry we had it as a takeaway, had we been eating in KFC I would have returned the food and asked for my money back.

Some chicken was missing from my order. When I asked about it, I was told it was a 15-minute. I waited 30 minutes and there was a big queue so I left. Worse KFC iv ever been to.

I went to KFC because my daughter wanted it so bad. The chicken was greasy and bad, the fries were like dough. I came from half an hour away, was very hungry and left with an upset stomach. I will never go there again and definitely do not recommend it to your children.

Food was good, was missing my fries so had to return but I suppose I should’ve checked before leaving. Had to wait a while for my food also, but it was a busy time of day and they only have 2 ordering kiosks.

Open till 10:30? Yeah apparently not. Despite what it says on google and what it says on the bloody door, we were turned away at 10:00. That’s a full half hour before you close. You have no right to send us away.

Disgusting! Staff seem to have no concept of food hygiene, and the place looked dirty and run down. There also seemed to have been some confusion with our order, so by the time we got our food, it was cold. Will not be visiting again.

Friday 28th June. Take out but stopped to eat in their vacinity. Boneless bucket. Sweetcorn. Gravy. Chips. Bottle of drink. Meal deal for 4. Had to ask for cups. No napkins. Chicken barely coated with anything and what was there was wet. Not crispy. Chips soft mush. Sweetcorn and gravy barely warm. Whole meal barely warm. Avoided Andover as it’s so dreadful (worse than this). Travelled to Solstice. Waste of time. Just awful. Mop buckets out with nobody using them. Didn’t look overly clean. Where do you go for a good one. Won’t be back. Someone needs to get a hold of these franchises and wake them up. What happened to crispy coatings. Hot food. A decent service. Don’t bother going.

KFC isn't what it used to be. If the chicken portions get any smaller, get an egg and grow your own.Fries are soggy, not crispy

Lovely and peaceful setting and spacious too with regards to the table set up. The food was delicious.

Chicken was tasty and the skin on chips were brilliant.

We have ordered several times from amesbury KFC and each time there is something wrong with the order. Because it is always a large order we cannot verify it until meals are unpacked. This time we were missing 2 reg fries, the gravy was not sealed properly and went over everything and the 2 box meals had the wrong sides. It's every time KFC, come it's not rocket science to check an order.

It's a KFC. Expect fried chicken. Marking it down as it looked like it has been invaded by a zombie apocalypse with the zombies being on drugs. It was like Farnborough but worse. Chicken and service was ok though.

Today was the worst experience of KFC I have ever had. Staff who could not be bothered. Dry chicken and strips half the size as normal. Dirty uniforms that looked like they had been on for days. No hot drinks and a counter top that has to be seen to be believed! I reckon if the inspectors drop in it will be instant closure. And the final straw was the filthy urinals which has obviously been overflowing for hours. I know the pay is rubbish for those employed by this organisation but please take a little bit of pride in yourselves

The staff served us fresh food with only 10 minutes before they shut on a late Saturday!! Kind and professional, even late at night!

Ordered meal but got no chips or side. Just poor service and quality is gradually getting worse like Burger King. Can see why McDonalds do chicken burgers now as their quality and service delivery is second to none.

Worst kfc ever 9 piece bucket to share and when we got home found to have only drum sticks, so disappointed as we very rarely have a kfc and it will be a long time before we have another

This place is run by kids that clearly don’t want to work there ! This is by far the worst KFC I have visited, if I could give less than 1 star, I would. Gravy is terrible and food looks like it’s been put in the bag with a catapult. Food was poor, but not as poor as the staffs attitude’s. Defo will not be rushing back.

Not the best kfc but seems to be abit better lately, food never seems as nice here as other kfc restaurants and rarely do they get your order correct at drive though.

One of the best experiences I have had at a kfc in a long time. Went in late on a Sunday and we got as greeted by all the staff that was working when we walked through the door. David was quick to great us while a smile and a hello behind the til and happily took our order. Food came out fast and was hot. Left with a warm good bye from David and the staff.

Drive thru. 4 piece colonel's meal. The best for age's, 4 large pieces of succulent chicken and tasty chips. Keep it up

It was OK. Chips are now decent and why are they the only take away to do yummy and healthy Sweetcorn.

The staff from 5 to 6 pm rota 29/11/2023 need more training because one thick piece of chicken did not cook properly (slightly pink in the middle near bone) and some potato chips did not cook in the middle.

I think their chickens must be deformed and have 10 legs. Out of a bucket of 14 pieces, 9 were drumsticks the rest were odd pieces. Not one chicken breast to be seen, when you're paying over £21 I expect to see a selection of chicken pieces, not the rubbish I had today.

Food; As KFCs go it is fairly average, it seems to vary depending on the time of day. Service; Normally a solo server at the front, although each time I have been in there the electronic self-kiosks are the ONLY option for people wishing to purchase a meal. For some reason they refuse to serve people with cash as their form of payment. Drive-thru is often closed in the evenings. Atmosphere; The inside is normally clean and fairly well kept, however the outside is awful, if you dine in the evenings you'll likely see a large group of rats around the bins and on the road for the drive-thru.

Food was ok but burgers a little small first time having KFC in a long time this one was reasonably clean not too busy

TBH a lot of my liking for this is because it was often the stopover when taking my children to and from university. But it is well placed, easily accessible, the parking is good, and service quick.

Went to kfc today the food is very greasy and people don’t know how to make a burger one of the guys on the drive thru dropped my crushem and was very mouthy with me and spoke to me in a disrespectful manner because he had to make me a new one I won’t be coming back to this kfc again the manger needs to work on managing there staff accordingly.

It's an ok place to get some grub but with a McD almost opposite, we could have saved some money and got more food. Quite pricey but expected and familiar food.

Screens in the Drive Thru are old and worn, also without lighting, so you can't see to choose. The person taking the order sounded so fed up and didn't want to make any effort. One advantage is when you're in the queue, you can watch all the rats scurrying around - a free animal park for KFC customers. Needs a drastic makeover. My last visit.

Stopped to use the toilet, it was digusting and looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly in quite a while.

Went to go through the drive through here one evening when I spotted at least 30 rats walking around the drive through. When I reported the issue staff rudely said it’s not their problem the rats haven’t gone into the traps.

There’s a very lovely Staff that makes me happy all the time I go there. Alway bubbly and Nice. His name is CLAUDIU.

Young girl serving had a bad attitude. The guy who served us who was from Romania had great customer service. He took our order and asked us for the chicken pieces we wanted and then went and told the kitchen because they had a fresh batch made. When our order was ready, we left and went to the car to eat, we opened our 6 piece bargin bucket and found all thighs and 1 wing. Disappointed!!

Only use drive through, not consistent. Bit of risk because sometimes awesome food other times disgusting.

Their toilet is dirty and very smelly! How many times we have been cheated by this fastfood store by not giving us the exact number of pieces in the bucket. I lost count already. But the latest, they didn't give the large gravy!!! I gave 3 stars for food because i like their hot wings and that's it.

Ice cream and drinks were spot on. Fries were hot and the gravy was tasty. Service was very prompt. The atmosphere was one of a customer complaining but pretty much as you would expect. Now the bad parts. Gents was disgusting with urine everywhere but in the toilet. No toilet roll and left me feeling like I should be wiping my feet on the way out. The tables were sticky and the waste bins overflowing inside the restaurant. Worst of all the fried chicken tasted like it had been cooked in old dirty oil. Sadly there is not much needed to make this place up too standard

Half of the food tasted fresh the other half was probably not cooked to order. It was a quiet hour and the people working here were doing nothing one was just tapping repeatedly and and seemed to be listening in on customer conversation it is like they didn't know what to do except for one oldest member of staff. There looked like there were area's that could do with a clean and the glass all the way up the doors was smeary. It looks like reputation doesn't matter to them. There was no air con. The teriyaki sauce wasn't that nice. No ice in the drinks.

Very rude staffs. And every order there will be atleast one missing item. Need to check before we leave the place. Total disappointment with the staffs as well

Staff very rude and not very welcoming.. food really substandard, not the standard expected from a KFC. This KFC should be avoided to save disappointment. Choose either one of the other vendors within services, or find yourself another KFC. This KFC does not deserve to use the brand name. I would have of returned my greasy uneatable food if I thought the staff would have been half approachable.. Just avoid and save dissatisfaction!!

This is one of the worst kfc's been too ,there are loads of better food places on the site ,I suggest using them.

Food was descent, order was missing things but not worth the 20 minute drive back to resolve it. Staff are very abrupt and not polite

The toilet facilities were incredibly dirty. And the door in to the gents was broken. Making it very hard for anyone with mobility issues to get inside. In addition, the tables weren't being cleared or cleaned between customers. So you were stuck with other customers left overs. Avoid eating in would be my advice.

Food was fresh, wings were quite spicy compared to the London branches. The restaurant was clean when we went. But what lets this place down are the toilets. One of the worst I've seen. I couldn't use them as all the ladies toilet cubicle doors had holes in them! The locks were broken and toilet tissue everywhere on the floor and bad smells.

Ordered a tower burger with no cheese, Apparently that means tower burger with more cheese and no hash brown

After spending in excess of £35 for a 3 full meals and a kids meal, I was more than disappointed to be advised that a tap water for my 8 year old boy would cost the same as a coke and when I asked if I could buy a empty bread bap for my 3yo and was told I would have to pay the full price of a burger... thank you #KFC...

Food had oil dripping, the staff was grumpy.

Chicken always seems to be a bit over cooked here - No orange juice for last 4 visits. Some staff members a bit scruffy.

Stopped in on my way to Glastonbury 2023. Wasn’t expecting much but what a pleasant treat. Everything was perfectly cooked and Delicious. We decided to stop in on the way back to see if it was a one hit wonder but again were treated with the best KFC I’ve tasted in the uk.
