I had the most lovely expieremce from Leah. She was so amazing towards my son who is autistic. She was so fast and friendly. Again, she makes my son involved . When we’ve been waiting for food she made it special and lively. Leah is a credit to your company. Can’t wait to visit again😍

Fish & chips from britz has been a weekly treat for a long time and most of the time warranted a five star review. But tonight 14 Sept the food quality was abysmal, the batter was soggy, the fish that we asked to be skinless had skin still on ... a put off for us, there was along wait at the counter staffed by young unsupervised staff who ran out of chips with no more in the fryer to replenish what was sold adding to the wait. A terrible service.

I recommend this fish and chips shop thay also do lots of different dishes

Left me stood waiting for 10 mins then told me they had run out of chips.

Worst fish and chips I’ve ever had, looked like an oil change was well overdue! Soooo greasy. And the curry sauce was revolting.

CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE YOU LEAVE. 2nd time this place has not Battered our sausages on take away orders. Didn't realise until we got homes as they put the sausages at the bottom of the order. Tried calling them but they never answer. No third chances. Well get our next order elsewhere.

A tab overpriced! Fish was fine,chips were soggy, maybe undercooked.

I order here on Deliveroo and they didn’t have any Fanta the drink so they gave me Coke instead and wrote me a nice note

Chips bits and pieces, must have been the ends of a cooking. Fish okay but spoilt by batter being hard and overcooked. Reviews had improved so gave it another try but never again. Very disappointing.

We're down here on holiday and decided to try this little fish and chip shop on first glance it looks clean. We ordered the standard chips and large cod thinking the small would be "too small" I struggled to finish mine it was that big. The curry sauce was to die for too. Would 100%recommend to other around this area and would defiantly go back .

Great fresh, tasty haddock and chips but i was given an incorrect order, I got a pot some curry / gravy gloop instead of mushy peas .... 😞

Nice staff terrible food by far the worst fish I have had in a long time

We went in Saturday morning for breakfast. Really happy, friendly and generous staff. Food was great. Place was clean. It felt good to eat there! Lovely it when people care about where they work and what they do. It makes a difference.

Wrong order again. They complain that they are too busy and are rude to the in store customers and then even after waiting they still give you a battered sausage instead of the cod you have paid for. Go elsewhere.

Great chippy ! Loads on the menu and tastes excellent, well priced too. The staff are friendly and swift to look after you. Definitely worth a visit. Keep up the good work guys! 👏

Food tastes nice but the portion sizes are poor. Chips clumped together stuck to the paper, so tightly wrapped there was a lot of mush. Expensive for what you get. There are quite a few better chippies in Salisbury, I'd go elsewhere next time I'm sorry to say.

we ordered13 senior fish and chips to be picked up at a certain time. Our order was ready for us, the food was hot and excellent value for money, and the staff were really friendly and helpful, they even carried it out to the car for us. Can't praise the food or service enough, certainly the best for miles around. Thank you Britz, Salisbury

A lot of shouting ,service slow, I found it quicker to by some frozen chips and eat them at home plus never any vegetarian options ready to go unlike the meat and fish options causing more wait

Ordered fish and chips through just eat after being unwell all week over an hour late and it was very clear this had been sat on side for the full hour delay discussing went straight in bin

Delivery ordered reg cod and chips and a reg haddock and chips. Spam fritter We got 2 small haddock and 1 chips Badly wrapped. The portion of chips was tiny. Not happy at all deffo not worth the £25 I just paid still hungry after we had to share the tiny portion of chips.

I go there for the Jumbo cod and chips, it's one of the treats I allow myself 😋

Absolutely adore Britz Breakfast. My Absolute favourite takeaway along with their fish and chips. Highly reccomend!

Staff made a minor mistake and as recompense gave a free slushie and a free sausage as recompense, all staff were very polite and helpful. The fish was also great.

Portion of chips, standard size was terrible in size. I had chips and sausage, then had to cook a pizza at home. Cmon guys, why can’t you be like Laverstock chippy? The staff do not seem happy, not a please or thank you when you get served. Customers are about the same. Lol. Need a Que system in place, lots of people standing around and you don’t know if they have ordered. Trouble is the staff who take orders don’t ask if you need serving.

Not even worth this 1 star! We have just picked up an order of fish and chips... it was absolutely disgusting!!! The oil was dripping from the batter and the fish was rock hard. We have always bought our fish and chips from Britz but wont be doing it again!!! UNACCEPTABLE...

The worst fish and chips I have ever had. There was so much oil in the batter it was oozing out on my fingers. Fish was hard and tasteless. Chips looked like someone had mashed them into a pile. Disgusting

Very poor food quality for price might as well gone to Iceland for 4 pack of chicken burgers for £2 pound very bad. No salt & vinegar on chips and batter sausage may as well been served out of a jar of oil do NOT Recommend this place poor poor poor 👎

My advice would be don't order online - you will find you fall under the walk-ins and are placed alongside the likes of Deliveroo. Makes the whole experience not a quick take-away.

I have ordered here few times, each time disappointed, food extremely poor, stuff is not very welcoming and on top of everything quite expensive. I will not go back, therefore I am not recommending the place.

Don’t bother using these clowns!! Placed an order, bits of the order missing, told nothing could be done about it, no apology, go and pick up missing bits after paying a delivery charge and a service charge. Again no apology and and when I said “ no wonder you have 3.1 on google” I got a shrug of the shoulders. It’s massively over priced, large portion of chips is literally a handful, they were dryer than a bucket of sand and the battered sausage was so hard it could have been mistaken for a police truncheon. My best advice would be to avoid Britz because they do not care about customer satisfaction, they clearly don’t care what they are thought of on the biggest internet platform so spend your hard earned money elsewhere. 🤡🤡’s

For the 2nd time...Chips undercooked, battered sausage having a good swim in grease, pea fritter fell to bits greasy & undercooked. Totally disgusting

The fish and scampi is ok, but unfortunately the chips are always soggy with absolutely no flavour or texture.

Ordered this evening on a whim as we were driving through. Efficient friendly service, decent fish and chips couldn't fault it.

Waited 10 plus minutes at counter. Never did get to place an order. It seems the only way you will get served is if you us just eat.

My local fish and chip shop. Always good size portions, well cooked, friendly staff. Very busy at times but this is a sign of their quality.

Absolute slop. The batter on the fish was dark in colour, dripping in fat and the fish was rubbery which would suggest it had even refried. Chips were the same. Such a disappointment as Britz used to be the very best in Salisbury. Never again!!

Second time I’ve ordered here, second time in a row an item has been left off our order, costing us £9.25 in missing food. It’s a shame as the food does taste pretty good, just a shame the staff is more conferenced with talking to each other than focusing on customer orders.

This burger cost me over £5 and was the kind of tasteless thing you mind find at McDonald's for 99p. The onion rings were the soggiest, wateriest things I've ever eaten. Absolutely disappointed

After a 25 minute wait, 3 people served before us who ordered after us, listening to the lady im guessing manager having a constant moan at the lovely young chap behind the counter we finally got our food. One plate freezing cold fish and chips the other plate piping hot fish, cold chips and cold mushy peas, after eating half the fish we just couldnt stomach the cold food anymore and left. Note to that manager, there is a time and place to reprimand staff and behind the counter and in front of customers isnt that place, no wonder you are always advertising for staff. How Degrading and damaging you are being to that poor lad is as sickening as your food was today!

Ordered 2 jumbo battered sausages and regular sized chips, got given the chips but two jumbo sausages without batter even though it could be a simple mistake the sausage was nice although the chips weren’t warm nor were they crunchy just soft

Brilliant. Service with a smile and all freshly cooked as you order. It probably because of Covid but wasn't happy having to wait outside in the cold. Luckily not that cold tonight. Definitely be back.

Very good fish 🐟 and chips and mushy peas to go with them. I get an order every month for a little group of us and had no problems even with a very large order of 18 or more people britz lived up to their name with no problems at all. I will recommend them to anyone.

Worst chip shop I've ever known and at such high prices...

I got fish chips and peas at 4.30 today it was expensive and absolutely awful. Don’t waste your money! The skin was still on the fish the batter was tough and chips soggy! Mushy peas ok though! I put the fish down for the dog but batter was too hard for him too!

Excellent fish and chips and the woman serving was really helpful and friendly. We remarked to each other how nice it was to be served in such a friendly way.

My fist visit and bought 3 x cod and chips tonight 10th Nov. Chip's were hardly cooked and the piece of fish was tiny, at a cost of £21. I will not be buying from there again. Disgusting

I went to this chippy for the first time tonight..well what can I say. I was very disappointed with what I experienced. Never before have I seen such small chips. The curry sauce, well I don't know what it tasted of. All in all I would never go back there again. Oh and they owe me a fruit shoot!

Very expensive but then it is the south. Sausages and fish were great! Chips felt a little undercooked but still good. Mushy peas were a bit disappointing and had very little flavour. All in all acceptable but nothing special

The staff were lovely, the fish was amazing, chips were not as good of quality, they were cold and too crunchy,, and when asking your customer about seasoning it's "do u want salt and vinegar" not u want vinegar and salt, that's like saying Dec and ant, and oh do u want pepper and salt lol 😂

Food was ok. Alot of staff but it didn't help with waiting times Quire a few younger staff looked lost and didn't know what was what. The obviously more trained staff was polite and helpful. Asides the waiting times the food was good.

Pre-ordered our fish and chips and turned up 20 minutes later to collect. Was told they weren't quite ready and that they would be brought out to me. Waited for 10 minutes and saw bags being filled and placed on top of the display. Didn't think anything of it until someone walked in and ordered fish and chips and was handed them within a couple of minutes. It was obvious I'd been forgotten about and I was asked my name again. I was then handed a bag which had been on to of the cabinet for a while. When I pointed this out, I was told the order had just been completed and not to be so rude. I've used this fish and chip shop for the last 2 years without any problems. However, I will no longer be a customer at this shop. I watched the staff dancing around to music and one of the staff sneezing into one of her hands whilst she worked, which she did nothing about. It wasn't busy in the shop itself and I was the only customer waiting. I don't appreciate being accused of being rude when I merely pointed out a fact. Whoever the middle aged woman who spoke to me was (and I got the impression she was the boss), she clearly doesn't care about customers and doesnt know how to talk to people. The shop had lost our custom, but I doubt they care

Very expensive for poor quality production view of the quality its lucky the portion sizes are so small.!!How hard is it to cook some chips? feel sorry for front of house staff who have to serve the offerings and take the flakchips a few decent ones on top of the pile underneath those was a pile of greasy mush.its a sad state that to get any where decent quality chips in this city you need to visit a chinese takeaway

£35 for 4 potions of chip and fish!!!!, I was expecting gold standards but chips half cooked fish well I've hand bogger fish fingers then the pieces we got, Chips just about enough for chip butty, 1 star just so it will let me post a rating.
