I don't know why, but I've always thought this place would be a bit of a dive and so in the 30 years I've lived here, I've never been in. I'm sorry! However, as Stacked are now cooking here, we gave it a go. The bar staff were lovely and drinks were a lot cheaper than I've paid at other places which was a bonus. The guy on the bar also came over to make sure we understood the ordering process for Stacked which was good of him. Stacked was, as always, delicious and I'll review them separately. The only thing I will say, is that if you think Stacked is good when it's delivered, get down to the Prince of Orange and try it fresh!

Visited for the first time since the new management took over, and unfortunately we are in no rush to go back. We ordered four main courses: Chicken Tikka Masala, Macaroni Cheese, Fish & Chips, and Cheese & Onion Pie. Unfortunately, everything tasted like it had been bought in and microwaved rather than freshly prepared in the kitchen. The chicken in the curry was tough, the pastry on the pie was hard, and the pasta in the mac and cheese was rubbery. Nothing had that fresh, made-on-site quality to it. We also had to ask the staff members at the bar as we waited a long time for our desserts, whereas the table next to us had their dessert brought out before they had even finished their mains. When it came time to pay, we weren’t given the bill and was just handed the card machine with the total. I asked to see the actual breakdown and found we’d been overcharged. When I raised it, the staff member responded with, “You know what, I’ll call it that as I can’t be bothered working it out and I’m sick of the new till system.” Not exactly the kind of service you expect. It’s a real shame, as the food used to be lovely under the previous owners. Sadly, we won’t be rushing back for food anytime soon. A positive is the member of staff who greeted us, sat us down, took our order and brought out our food. Apologies I didn’t get their name I would recommend for drinks

The Footage has unfortunately closed down however I am writing this review as a tribute to the business. This year was my first time coming to Footage and I am sad I didn't know about it sooner. Cheap Drinks and Food with plenty of excitement. Our friend group would go every Tuesday for Karaoke and it became a tradition. In between Uni lectures, there was nowhere better to go. Sometimes the place was booming with life from all the sport games being placed. Other times it was relaxed and calm for casual conversation. When I informed our group of Footage closing down, we were all upset as it had become such a routine for us to go to. The people we met, the people we sang with. We shall miss you Footage. Lots of love from, The Filmmaking students at MMU
