Lovely cafe good food reasonably priced lovely staff

Was a great cafe at one time hence why I went, we had the breakfast 1 and 2 all came quite fast which was good until I realised why it was hardly cooked, bacon looked like it had been threatened with a frying pan, beans came in a little pot and seemed to hiding underneath the surface of the runny bean sauce (cheap beans) sausages we're just about done, eggs cooked in circle cages looked like Mcds and a blob of a tomato. The whole meal was made up off cut cost processed food, now I know why the place was empty.

First time in here with regulars. I was advised to have the cheese and onion pie with mash and beans, it was delicious. I live in Stockport but I will be going back.

I ordered 4 buttered scones and got 4 tea cakes big difference

It was quite quiet when we visited. So lots of room. Set up what you would expect from a workers cafe.

Been coming years here but now the parents are not running the cafe its gone right downhill some food is cold but its the staff they are so miserable and snappy like they do not want to be there not as good as the old times

Had a cheese and onion pie for lunch which was nice enough but the ingredients tasted cheap. The place was clean and food took about 15 minutes to arrive. Staff were friendly but quite stressed and were so busy to fully provide great service. Overall quite cheap nice place to grab some food. Lots of options on the menu. Has indoor seating and toilets

Took forever to come and food cold when it arrived. Chicken and cheese panini had never seen a chicken

Cheerful staff, great menu which is reasonably priced, clean tables. Only problem is that the toilet is upstairs, but apart from that this is a great little cafe which seems very popular.

Great value for money, friendly service from the staff and delicious food. Good portion size as well. We will definitely be going back.

Excellent service this morning from the chap who took my order. Excellent breakfast at a great price. Never once have I been disappointed in years of visiting this cafe.

fried eggs were really nice plenty of yolk, bacon perfectly cooked however the sausage I wasn't really keen on, tasted like cheap meat. however I would order again just not the sausage.

Driver left food outside on the rubbish never knocked or rang bell with drivers like that justeat i am concidering not using ur site again

Due to the driver error my hot food and drinks were cold as driver left food and drinks on grey rubbish bin never rang bell or knock on door which was open i highly disappointed

I asked for cheese on a jacket potato and paid extra for it and didn’t get it. I ordered apple pie which was £4 it was a small piece squashed in a box - not worth it at all!

Second time here, brekie is gorge and piping hot brew!

I have to say that is the 1st time i've had a full cooked breakfast and not felt guilty afterwards. the portion sizes were spot on the food was not greasy. honestly totally satisfying. Will most definitely be ordering again. If I could give extra stars then they would be given for sure.

The kids meals (£3.90) x 3 were a joke, I was extremely disappointed with the fact that there were only 3 nuggets in each and a handful of chips

Fantastic as always usually go to the cafe but couldn’t get out today and food was just as good as if we had sat in thank you.

Had to cook sausage a bit more as was not cooked enough

Delivered in under 30 minutes on a Sunday! Always amazing food, and those little containers come in well handy :)

This was absolutely 💯 percent awesome home made pies amazing 👏 only thing I would say was a few extra chips in the meal wouldn't be a bad idea but I will be ordering from here again very happy customer

The village cafe is a great place for breakfast in this area! The food is always freshly prepared, the staff is super nice & lovely! Don’t mind the shabby place itself, that needs some attention. But otherwise it’s great to have breakfast here 😎

Us and a few mates went in for breckfast in the morning and had to wait 40 min for our food which we couldn’t even finish Becuase we were late for other plans. Won’t be visiting again

Ill get straight to the point and say im very disappointed with this place. I came in here with a few mates and was expecting a nice breakfast only to be deprived of a good meal. I only ordered a bacon and sausage sandwich. (Sandwich is a key word here). Tell me why it took 50 mins just for that. Outrageous if you tell me. When I finally got my food it was toasted, even though I specified a sandwich and it wasn’t even cut in half. In my life i have never been to a cafe where they don’t cut it. Absolute bull. This really killed my morning. Will not be coming here ever again. Should have gone maccies

Visited the cafe as we fancied something sweet. Ordered an apple pie with ice cream & cherry pie with custard. Also a cup of tea. Pies were served warm & the cherry one was drenched in custard, so we could barely see the pie 🤣 The pie crust wasn't crisp as the pies were heated up, but we enjoyed them both as they gave us the sweet treat we were craving. Would like to return for their other pies in future!

The hot sandwich was hot the jacket potato was cold Shame if that was hot it would of been nice and some butter salt pepper in the potato would of been perfect

Staff are brilliant. I'm vegan and gluten free, and this is a regular high st caff. They checked their veggie sausages for allergens, even going so far as to ring the supplier because they weren't listed. When the food arrived it was exactly as expected. I also appreciated the fact that there is no radio or blaring music, very unusual nowadays and very welcome.

Always lovely food and always early or on time. Driver is also very polite.

Very comfortable and friendly, ideal for breakfast or lunch. They will do any variations you ask for, no questions and the food is good. Ideal for when you don't feel like eating in or doing the pots afterwards.

Decent cafe, good service but not great tea or sausages !!

I always get good service although today my food was dovered at 102pm only for it to be left outside in the freezing cold . I checked my order to see where it was at 1.30pm i noticed it said delivered at 102pm . I looked outside and it was there freezing cold. I dont see the point in eating cold food . Its been outside over 20 minutes. I complaining about the dricer as the food and cafe are usually very good

One of my favourite cafe in Droylsden. Lovely shop owner and staff, reasonable price for all items. Just £4.5 for all day breakfast and £1.8 for cappuccino 🥰

Best English breakfast in Manchester

My family and I have been visiting this place for a very LONG time, since my husband and I were teenagers and we're now 50+ We don't get an awful lot of spare time but we like to visit here when we can for lunch, to support our local business and because their food and service is great. Ok, it doesn't rival some of the expensive places in Manchester but this is just a local cafe which has survived the ups and downs of the trade, not least Covid. Prices may have risen a little recently, but this is understandable with the cost of living crisis, and this place is still excellent value! The menu is varied, the food is always well cooked, and the service is always very friendly and welcoming! Cannot fault this place or its staff, and they make and serve the BEST homemade cheese & oinion pie! (...which is available to take home for tea! ;)

Go regularly to this cafe but have never ordered delivery. Didn’t disappoint - food was lovely 😊

Village cafe priorities have changed, focus on takeaways more than dining in customers. Ordered breakfast at 10:22am, on second cup of coffee and still breakfast at in sight. No apology or explanation for delay. Been coming here since 2005 and has always been great service but not today!!!!!!!!

I can recommend the Tuna mayo barmcake. Lovely and fresh and plenty of filling. My husband had the breakfast which was also really nice and good value for money.

Doesn't matter what time of day you visit, the staff are always friendly, the service is always first class and the food is always amazing. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The prices are as expected for the quality of the food. Always my first choice for a full breakfast.
