Great local takeaway with friendly staff and great food. Great having this place where we live.

Good food expertly prepared really nice staff. Reccomend chef special. Brilliant Chinese takeaway. Amazing food. Lovers fried rice a firm favorite.

Ordered salt and pepper chips tonight, plain chips with an uncooked onion chopped and thrown onto it. Not the best and I remember this takeaway having the best salt and pepper chips in Kendal, must be new owner or a new chef.

Looks a little shabby but food was good and lady serving was authentic. Had no disposable forks so had to buy some at supermarket. Was a good find slightly off tourist trail.

Ordered roast duck in orange sauce, salt and pepper chips, vegetable spring rolls, satay sauce and noodles and a sweet and sour sauce. The duck wasn't neither roasted or fried and it looked like boiled, defrosted, snake meat. Spring rolls full of oil didn't taste right and they are meant to be vegetarian, but I've found pork in them! The chips were salty only, no other typical chinese spices. The satay sauce was like snot, not appealing at all. And the noodles were drowned in oil. I feel sorry for leaving this review, but is not OK to sell food like that. I tries to eat it and I gagged all along. Not edible unfortunately.

Not the best Chinese food but lovely friendly staff

The food was tasteless and inedible, the chicken balls were over cooked to the point so that they tasted burnt as were the chips that were dark brown (as if fried in old oil) The spicy sauce with the fried shredded chicken totally lacked any spice or taste. The lady that served us was very polite if overwhelmed and flustered. The costs of the dishes are higher than most competitors which was probably another reason the shop was empty!

Basic Chinese takeaway touch expensive for what it is

I don't often leave reviews on takeout but this time people need to know how utterly vile this was....most of it was inedible, ate enough so we weren't starving then threw the rest in the bin. Not much taste to the actual meal, spring rolls were disgusting, greasy and the prawn toast was like it had been left in an old fryer for a week before serving. The price wasn't cheap either, almost 30£ for 2 people for it to be thrown out.

Best takeaway customer service i've experienced. Food was overall great, although a little bit too salty.

Adoro absolutamente el arroz frito especial de aquí, es tan bueno que siempre lo pedimos cuando vamos; los otros platos son buenos, aunque nunca puedo comer uno entero, ya que son un poco grasientos, amigables y familiares.

Viajo regularmente desde el otro lado de la ciudad por esta pequeña joya. Me encanta su arroz frito especial, nunca tuve nada igual. No se ve mucho desde afuera, pero puedo asegurarle que la comida es increíble.

Had meals from Pearl takeaway on many occasions. Food is delicious and service is second to none. Top notch!

Gran menú de comida china con también algo de comida inglesa para aquellos que no son fanáticos (como salchichas y pescado). Mi favorito personal de aquí es su arroz frito especial, ¡es encantador! El personal es propietario de una familia y es muy acogedor y quiere que sea adecuado para usted. El pago es solo en efectivo.

This is without doubt the worst Chinese we have ever had. To add insult to injury it wasn’t even cheap. We couldn’t quite comprehend that anyone could cook this badly. So we ate just enough to take the edge off our hunger and threw the rest straight in the bin. Never thrown food away before. Never again

I don't like giving negative reviews,but I have had one of the worst takeaways for a while, got four meal's and we all agreed it wasn't the best we have had.a friend told me it was a good takeaway,it might if been a bad night, but I won't be trying it again

Great service and fantastic food

Not good. Food very dry compared to other Chinese takeaways. Very poor customer service.

Not too bad as a stop - gap. As a very local customer I find it hard to distinguish the difference between some meals. All are ' filled out ' with peppers & onions . If there are more than 3 customers it can take ages. Nice folk though.

Food was OK but did take quite a while to be prepared.
