Recently discovered this super cafe. This cafe offers freshly cooked food at affordable prices. Very clean, friendly

Came with my dad, and ordered a cooked breakfast. Everything was lovely and fresh. And the food tasted very nice . My dad goes at least once a week now he has found it

Great breakfasts carefully cooked with quality ingredients. Food is lovely, small menu but freshly prepared at the time. Love the home made soup that are changed daily for variety. Friendly attentive service, we go here now every time we visit St Helens

REAL customer service with a hearty smile. Then, the food is unprecedented (and we've been about). Nothing ever damages our expectations, because these people clearly care about providing the best all round dining experience. The cafe is very clean and organised, and the respect for the value of great customer service shines in every visit. Other cafes in the borough should definitely take notes!

I go in here almost every week. The food is home cooked and always really good. Coffees are nice especially the lattes. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. On my last visit I had the hotpot which was very tasty and my partner had a large breakfast. There is always a nice relaxing atmosphere too.

Found this cafe on Trip Advisor when staying on a short business trip and was really pleased that it lived up to expectations - lovely scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast, plus couldn't resist the banana loaf, then I took a sandwich away with me for lunch. Set me up well for a day of meetings! Friendly service, clean and fresh surroundings. Excellent value for money too. Highly recommend.

If you ever find yourself wanting a breakfast whilst shopping in St.Helens then the Pear tree cafe is THE best by far, Why? well that`s easy, unlike most other cafes in St.Helens the food items are all cooked well, and the main thing is how clean and fresh the cooked items are making this breakfast a healthier option because its not swimming in oil and grease. (unlike most of the other cafes). The Pear tree is located opposite the main bus station and at the side of the theater so its an ideal location. The staff are friendly and happy to tweek any orders to suit your needs. The prices are very responsible (same price as most other cafes) So this cafe is defiantly worth giving it a go, you wont be disappointed.

Visited the Pear Tree cafe on a wet and windy Saturday morning. I tried the big breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and cost. Under £7 for a great home cooked breakfast with high quality sausage, coffee and 2 rounds of toast. A hidden gem in St Helens. Will definitely be back.

My parents go every day, and the staff are so kind and helpful. They bring you your order instead of waiting. And the hot chocolate is amazing.

Visited with Mum and Dad. The service was ver friendly and the home made food was excellent. Reasonably priced as well.

Went here with my friend and her 5 month old. Was made to feel welcome straight away. Spotlessly clean and can see the staff cooking which is nice. Some cafes I’ve been too you can smell stale oil/cooking but nothing like this here. It was bright and airy. The food was so delicious, reasonably priced and a very varied menu. Will definitely be going back and recommending this to all my friends and family. 😊

Whenever I am in St Helens I always call in this Café for Breakfast. It is by far the best I have found in the town. ALL the meals are cooked to order using Premium Quality Produce. I don't mind waiting knowing what quality of breakfast I am going to get. The prices are very reasonable with ample quantities per serving. The staff are very friendly and polite. The Café is well maintained and very clean. I recommend this CAFE to friends and relations.

I regularly visit this Café and have found it to serve the BEST Breakfast in St Helens. I have visited a number of Cafes and Pub/Restaurants in St Helens but none of them has come close to the Pear Tree in all aspects.The Café is clean. modern and is very welcoming. The staff are friendly, polite with very pleasing personalities.The meals are only cooked to order which ensures a hot meal. The produce used is of the highest quality which is obvious when you eat the meal. I only visit this Café when I am in St. Helens.

Love this place . Staff are lovey and the cooking area is spotless the decor is bright and inviting just lovley place to eat or drink. Been coming every week and had a variety of their food and everything is done to perfection . Just a lovley relaxing place The Pear Tree.

this place is a little gem! right by the bus station and it does the most amazing homemade cakes!!! there are always several varieties and they change on an almost daily basis as new ones are baked!!! the salt n pepper chicken is soooooooooooo good too!!!!

I only noticed this café last week and had breakfast there today. Can't believe I had a full breakfast with a slice of toast and cup of tea for £4.50 (Bents at Culcheth take note!!!) The food was lovely and the staff very helpful especially as I asked for something not actually on the menu for my mum which they were only too happy to provide. Will definitely being visiting again. Lovely clean tables and cutlery, tables cleared immediately after someone leaving which makes such a difference.

Only fair that I write another review after a few further visits, I obviously visited on a bad day initially as every visit since has been first rate. The food is lovely and the staff are excellent. They are great with the kids and they serve probably the best breakfast in the town centre. The food is fresh, well cooked and very good quality.

Visited this morning and ordered a cooked breakfast at 09:20, after waiting for 35 minutes I had to go and ask for my money back as I couldn't wait any longer as I had to collect my daughters from the dance studio upstairs at 10:00. There were 4 other customers in the cafe, 2 of whom had been waiting for 45 minutes and were only just being served their food. Food may be nice, I wouldn't know, but the service was ridiculously slow. I dread to think how long it would take if they were busy. There were 2 members of staff who were very pleasant but didn't seem to know how to cook multiple orders at the same time. Needs an experienced hand in the kitchen I think.

Lovely new café easy walk from bus Station. Really friendly staff and great homemade food. The banana bread is heavenly.

Recently opened café and a little gem. The café serves freshly prepared quality food and drinks at very reasonable prices. The premises are clean, airy and comfortable and all the staff are friendly and helpful. Well worth a 2 minute venture outside of the town centre and the usual eating places.

A lovely new cafe in St. Helens, located outside the bus station which is a massive +, excellant service, friendly staff, child friendly, immaculate , and best of all yummy cakes, we will be back xx

Went here for an early breakfast before work. Absolutely lovely food. Good local ingredients and very clean and fresh surroundings. The owners are lovely and I wish them every success. Only found it by chance, definitely needs better signs outside.

Glad to see this cafe has reopened under the name Pear Tree Cafe. And at last, a cafe that has good quality bacon and sausage instead of the catering budget rubbish. Ordered 1 bacon and 1 sausage barm to take away. Was spot on, wrapped in tin foil to keep it hot. Both the ladies working there are nice and cheerfull, even at 8:20am. They told me that they get their bacon and sausage from Gavins butchers, which was an immediate tick in the box for me. The cafe is clean and freshly painted making it nice and light and airey. Shall be recommending this to my collegues. The only suggestion I would make, is that they need to get a nice big sign outside above the windows so that people on buses and walking near the town hall know that they are there!
