Peach in East Hertfordshire

Attended a private event and charged £8.10 for a single Jack Daniel’s and dash of coke. Other attendees said prices changed every time they went to bar! Attendees were being charged £9 for a beer. Attendees just paid the prices at function not to cause embarrassment but after function, one by one started feeding back. I emailed establishment after event and they ignored 🙄

I was disappointed with the brunch package, which included two thin slices of bacon for £14.50. The bacon was overcooked, and the pancakes appeared pre-made rather than freshly prepared. With two drinks and the service charge, the total came close to £30—more in line with proper restaurant pricing rather than a casual café. Given the cost, I would have expected much better quality. Additionally, despite the café not being busy on a Sunday morning, a staff member approached me to ask whether I had finished my meal, which felt quite rude. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning

no calories on menu. quick service but menu has no variety. looks aesthetic but trying hard to be fancy and it just isn’t. food has no flavour. just abit crap in general.

Nicely decorated restaurant in a great location but sadly the food was disappointing. I had a full English breakfast but the quality of bacon was poor. At £14 I would expect to get good quality back bacon not streaky bacon. There was hardly any meat in amongst the undercooked slimy fat. The hash brown was unpleasant as it tasted of cooking oil. Sourdough toast was as hard as a rock too. I was frightened to eat it for fear of breaking my teeth. Pot is beans was minuscule too. On the plus side the eggs were cooked nicely and the seasoning/herbs on the grilled tomato were lovely. On the whole though it was a mediocre breakfast for a high price tag.

Really happy to recommend this lovely restaurant, the food was great and the service was excellent. I will definitely be back.

Visited today for a belated birthday brunch with a friend. I had a banoffee sandwich and my friend had some pancakes. Both meals were delicious and were served beautifully, too. Service was wonderful and our smoothies were lovely! Would recommend and would happily visit again.

Excellent food but what really makes it stand out is the staff. Perfect customer service, friendly attentive but also allow you to enjoy your meal in peace. I would recommend as a place to eat. Prices are reflective of the quality, not the cheapest option but I would say good value. I hope the owners give the staff the praise they deserve.

Restaurant was very stylish. Lovely, Relaxed lighting and mood as a whole. Cocktails were INCREDIBLE and the service was friendly and super helpful thanks to our waitress for the night, Sinead. Burgers and chips were brilliant. Would recommend and will definitely be going again!

Really lovely service as always! The staff are so kind. Avo toast was £15.50 with halloumi and my oat mocha was £4. So a little pricey but it’s a nice treat and the place has good vibes and good tunes :)

A friendly, warm welcome greeted us to this impeccably stylish restaurant. Upon arrival, we were imminently given a commentary bottle of rosemary water. The menu was full of vegetarian and vegan friendly delicious options, and a wide range of lattes and smoothies. The shakshuka I had was spicy and full of flavour, and the Buddha bowl and ragout both looked exceptional. With arches, peach and green walls and stylish lamps, the atmosphere was vibrant and refreshing. Along with food, the matcha and chai lattes were beautifully presented, authentic and tasty. All the staff were cheerful, quick and helpful, and really contributed to our great experience. We will definitely remember this place for their terrific atmosphere and amazing food.

Think this place is overrated. Came here for breakfast, poached eggs were overcooked, side dish was forgotten. The homemade hash brown whilst it looked great had literally zero flavour. Service was not particularly good and the tables are really crammed in. All this for over £50 for a breakfast for 2.

Popped in on Sunday morning for breakfast with no booking. Made to feel extremely welcome and a table was found for us in a very busy lovely vibe restaurant. The breakfast was good. Personally not sure about the black bread but tasted great. For me I have to say the girl that served us was so so helpful and cheerful, you can see she absolutely loves her job. Definitely coming back.

Came here as a large group to hold a celebration & I found the service absolutely fantastic, very friendly & attentive. We pre booked our food & it was delicious. I wanted to give a special mention to the baby changing, it was really well laid out, clean and had nappies and wipes which I thought was a lovely touch! I’m not from the area but it’s definitely on my list of places to return to when I visit

I seldom visit Hertford but while my wife had a lunchtime meeting I wandered around and came across Peach which looked lively and attractive . It was a very good choice as the interior was bright and comfortable, service was prompt and the food very good. It is no surprise that it was popular and busy. Happy to recommend.

Everything today was spot on. Front of house staff were courteous, friendly and smiley. Our lunches were delicious, we savoured every mouthful. On arrival no proper welcome. Then we waited 50 minutes for the prawn tacos to arrive; they were tasty but only two small prawns per taco for £10. The main issues lie elsewhere… No ambiance at all, cramped and way to many tables; there’s even one as you basically enter the front door luckily we did not have that one. Service close to zero; with food sat in front of you for ages, having to chase the staff for another drink or any form of attention; although there was only two of them Cocktails at around £12 plus 12.5% service you’d expect something nice; I’ve had better service in a cafe. The cocktails also weren’t great. We popped down for a birthday lunch. But left very underwhelmed.

I have visited peach a number of times since their opening in hertford, and the food is consistently good, however the service is consistently slow which is a real let down, not only did our table have to wait a long time to order and get drinks etc, so did many other tables around us, with people having to leave their seats to go to the counter and ask for menus etc, we were left with our finished plates for at least 25 minutes and then had to go up and ask for the bill. I understand it’s hard to manage a busy restaurant, but when there’s only about 7 tables in and ar least 3 members of staff it’s rather disappointing. I won’t stop coming to peach, the food and atmosphere is great. The service just needs improvement !

Choice on the menu was perfect! They have a range of things to eat or drink! The place is so pretty and great for breakfast / brunch / lunch! Highly recommend! Can’t wait to return!

Food perfectly pleasant, as is the decor and the staff. Very busy on a Saturday morning so booking essential. Very popular with groups of Hertford’s young ladies enjoying their cocktails with brunch. Food service was particularly slow. Sadly I won’t be putting it on my list of doggy friendly eateries as I simply couldn’t hear what my partner was saying across the table. Everyone was so LOUD!!!

Food was half decent and nicely presented. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow in terms of initial drink order, then taking the food order, then clearing the plates and getting the bill (despite asking for it twice). I also ordered an extra side which came after they apologised for the delay, but unfortunately arrived just I finished my main. Certainly not ideal. Personally, they should have just taken that off the bill without asking. They didn’t. If they sort the service out could be quite decent. Not particularly cheap either and they added discretionary service charge despite taking an order for 2 people (one didn’t eat) and the excessive delay in a side arriving. That’s just not right. Get the basics right first.

Went in for breakfast on a sunday, wasn't particularly busy. Got seated and given a menu then the waiter ignored us for 15 minutes, taking the orders from 3 other tables that arrived after us. Noticed every other table had water except us. Took another 30 minutes after ordering till the drinks arrived with the food following 10 minutes later. The food was ok, the highlight being the hash brown but my bloody Mary was bland to the point it just tasted like tomato juice and the whites in both my poached eggs weren't cooked although my partners were. Weren't asked if he were happy with the food at any point and the staff didn't seem to care. Plenty of better places to eat breakfast so won't be rushing back.

Wandering around Hertford we fancied lunch and Peach looked like a good spot with tables outside and an interesting quirky menu. We were so happy that we chose this lovely little restaurant as the meal was absoutely delicious! I chose a Buddha Bowl with a selection of coconut rice, edamame beans, avocado, poached peaches and pickled slaw. Absolutely delicious! We both chose ginger zinger drinks which were very refreshing and tasty on a warm day and my husbands poached eggs on sourdough were equally yummy. Service came with a smile and we had the just the nicest of lunchtimes together. Thank you Peach - we will be back and can highly recommend.
