When I made the reservation, I asked for a sliced ​​duck, but when I got there, I only had half. However, the boss was unwilling to charge half the price for the whole duck, and insisted on charging the more expensive price of the original half. Not wanting to disappoint the customer, he ended up leaving without food. .

We visited this restaurant as a family for dinner. My husband ordered the roast duck and unfortunately experienced severe stomach pain for several days afterward. I do not recommend it at all.

I recently dined at Peace Garden and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience. The waiter who took our order was ignorant and inexperienced, lacking basic information about the menu. This led to us being served something slightly different from what we ordered. Additionally, the person who took our order was different from the one who served the food, which added to the confusion and unprofessionalism. The quality of the food was subpar and did not justify the high prices. Moreover, when it came time to pay the bill, I was surprised to find an extra charge of seven pounds labeled as a "surcharge." This was not communicated beforehand, adding to the overall dissatisfaction with my visit. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant.

Very nice, staff very attentative

This was all round an excellent meal. We had a set menu. The food was well cooked, well presented and delicious. The atmosphere was great,as were the staff. They had one item they had run out of stock of, but it was no problem. Highlight was the addition of complimentary seaweed to the starter as we asked if we could have some to go alongside. Quite possibly the best Chinese restaurant we have ever eaten at!

This is the best Chinese Restaurant I have ever had the pleasure to find. The food is amazing, portions are huge! The staff are attentive and so polite. This place is certainly a hidden gem. The deep crispy fried beef strips are lovely, spicy beef with noodles to die for. Prawn fritters and crispy chicken in sazuan sauce served with egg fried rice, also lovely.

Authentic Chinese food located next to Hyatt Regency. Excellent duck.

Very nice food, friendly staff and quick service. I had the lamb strips with onions, cumin and coriander, it was a bit spicy but so so delicious. Highly recommended! Fish soup is also another of my favourites from their menu.

I went there with my Chinese Girlfriend. 80£ for poor quality food with very less of taste. We order 3 dishes with sweets. Ask for sweets to take away after payments they forgot about it so we went home want asap finish this unpleasant experience. Really Poor management, food with no flavour, way toooo expensive, ONE START for waiters👌 (very polite and nice people)

They have lunch set for about £10, but persuade us to get the 2 person deal at £28. In fact, it is actually £28 per person. What a scam. Food are below standard, worst than the take away shop.

Absolutely s***!!! Went with family (6 adults, 6 children) despite pre booking the table days in advance they still struggled to cater for us. No pepsi, no sprite, no coke …no sea bass… a lot missing from their menu. I understand they were busy as it was Chinese new year but service was shocking! Specially asked for kids dishes to come out asap as they were hungry- only to be told ‘wait’ ‘wait’ 6 dishes came out 15 minutes apart. Fried squid was burnt. Enough was enough, asked for the bill for what we had and they tried to bill us for things we had not had. Then they have the audacity to tell our party to stay and have ‘complimentary fruit’. DO NOT GO THERE. Disgusting service, attitude and environment. Close the place.

Had a really nice meal here on 7th February 2024 with friends. It has an extensive menu. The service was attentive but not intrusive and the food absolutely delightful. We will certainly be back.

The staff especially the manager Tony was so kid to explain us everything and help us decide on what to eat. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The food was great. The Dan Dan noodles has and will always be my favourite. The pork dumplings were scrumptious.

Had a group dinner here with my MBA colleagues. The service was smooth, seamlessly delivering dishes one after another, allowing us to enjoy our meal without interruptions. Conveniently located next to AMBS and Hyatt. Not the best place if you are looking for halal or vegetarian options.

The seabass and the duck were standouts but I probably wouldn't get the prawns if I was to come back. One of the most authentic Chinese restaurants I've been to in Manchester but this does mean it isn't for everyone if you are used to more Westernised dishes.

My First visit, with some colleagues from Work, very good. Fantastic well decorated, clean and tidy restaurant, all the staff were very helpful, very attentive and extremely polite. Food was delicious, never been to a Chinese restaurant before, lovely experience and really enjoyed the food.

Not your run of the mill Chinese restaurant. We were fortunate to have a mainland Chinese friend from Shandong to guide us through the menu options. For those unfamiliar with foods, many of the textures and star anise top notes will come as a surprise. Suffice it to say that was very novel and delicious in equal measures.

Great location close to Manchester University this recently opened restaurant is a hidden gem. The menu is fairly priced and food is nicely presented and cooked. Service is attentive too. We would definitely return!

The place is lovely. The foods is over price!!! I went for lunch I ordered a blow of Noodles and minced pork it’s Just noodles and a few of minced meat in a tiny dipping bowl. Disappointed it.

Went last night as a treat. Service was poor as no one greeted us at the door. We ordered food, portions were small, server did not understand our order. Rice was cold and the food was served in drips, not all the order was presented so we ended up cancelling some of the order as we had finished eating. wont be going back again as we will support our local chinese takeway service. Its a shame! After complaining you still insisted on a service charge! The chair had rice on it. Poor service all around

Booked the group dinners here, loved this place! Beautiful restaurant, helpful & friendly staffs, and tasty food! The manager here is very responsive, she made everything run smoothly! Highly recommended and will definitely come back in the future!

We visited on a whim and were really impressed. Great, authentic Chinese food. The dumplings and pancakes were fab and the mapo tofu and pan fried whole sea bass to die for. We will be back!

A lovely meal here. This is authentic Chinese food from a variety of regions including Beijing, Sichuan, Hunan and Guangdong (Canton), rather than higher-cost versions of takeaway food. Mao's braised pork was tender and balanced. The pork pancake was filled with plenty of juicy pork. The fried rice was fragrant and beautifully fried. Excellent sland friendly service. Also, the restaurant was decorated so beautifully.

Great place and the food is amazing, book in advance for the duck. Kaman the server is so friendly. my 9 year old daughter loved chatting with her.

It's hard enough finding authentic Chinese food in the U.S. let alone finding Sichuan mala style flavor. This place has it in addition to some Cantonese fare. The spicy poached beef in chili was absolutely perfect.

This is my 1st time getting food from here, I came in about 5 mins before closing time and they allow me to order for takeaway no issues and the staff were very friendly. Since I rush to order I just went for the basic Beef curry & fried rice with a portion pawn cracker's, I have to say after getting that in other Chinese restaurants I was very impressed with Peace Garden! I found the meal delicious and will be ordering from them again in future.

Really lovely place, very hospitable. It was my birthday and they come out and surprised me with ice cream and candle at the end. Very unexpected but sweet. Gorgeous aesthetic inside.

Nice modern restaurant, nice decor, clean, great food and staff and very reasonably priced. I had 4 pork dim sum as a starter and 1/4 roast duck with crepes which were plenty for dinner and they were both delicious. All in all well worth a visit.

I personally thought the Chinese food was good, the ambience was very good and the service was very prompt. We had a very good meal and highly recommend the cold dish of beef in sauce, which has no dipping sauce but has a very mellow marinade flavour. The variety of staples is on the small side and there is not much choice of fried rice, but these are minor issues. Will come back when I have the chance.

Did one of the banquet options and - boy - this is one helluva good restaurant! The best I’ve visited in the UK. The only thing better than the food was the service; and the only thing better than the service was the food. If there was a 7-star rating, they’d get it!

This is the healthiest and tastiest meal I've had in a long while. Visited 5 different restaurants in the last 5 days of my vacation in the UK and I must say this beat them all hands down... Highly highly recommend. Ordered the Banquet 2 menu.

Amazing Chinese restaurant for mind blowing soup! Definitely recommend their soup and fried rice. Food comes out quickly after order, which are hot and delicious as well. The salt and pepper ribs could have more flavours, but overall a restaurant worth visiting!

I'd seen lots of positive reviews and recommendations for this place, which is right by my home and work, so I tried it with a friend. We arrived at 8pm and ordered the banquet. I wish we'd tried some of the specialty regional dishes, as the food in the banquet seemed lower-quality (watered-down hot and sour soup, which lacked spice and flavour and very dry duck). The portions were also on the small side for the price. The banquet was OK, not amazing, I would recommend individual dishes instead. The one thing that brought down the visit was the service, unfortunately. It was fine at first when we were served by the waitresses. But as it got later, the managers/owners took over serving us and were looking at their watches, taking our plates when we were in the middle of eating and cleaning up aggressively, etc. It turns out they were closing at 10pm, but they failed to mention that, rather they started moving our plates around and making us feel rushed. Hopefully they will work on their hospitality and prioritise customer experience to encourage revisits. This really let the whole thing down, but it's such a simple and free thing to get right.

🤬🤬🤬🤬Went for a meal with a family member after previously hearing good things about this restaurant. Our starters were lovely and well presented. However, when my main and side came - Grilled Seabass (and yes presented well) with Pak Cho - it was extremely salty! Even my family member tried it and commented the same - extremely salty. I explained this to the waitress who took the food away, removed the sauce from the fish and clearly just rinsed the Pak cho under water, and brought it back! I asked how removing the sauce from the fish and washing the Pak cho was going to remove the salt? To which the response I received was; " Chinese people can have that as they can take a much stronger flavour, but people from your culture find it a bit salty!) 👀👀 we have even had to tone down the flavour for white people" ( to confirm I am Jamaican) I was completely gobsmacked by what had just been said to me! The waitress walked away and spoke to the manager who came over and repeated what had been said, then tried to offer a 10% discount on the meal; he then said maybe next time we shouldn't order that particular food again!!! I have eaten Chinese food for years, and never have I come across salty food like this before, but that I can deal with. Though i can assure you that the racial and derogatory comment I CANNOT deal with. It is disgusting and disappointing in this day and age to find that people still act and talk in such a disregarding way! I will NEVER step back in here again!!!!!!! If I could give a minus score I would!

Looks like a fine dining place but they had some very authentic Chinese food here! I am very pleased with the service (one lad from Shandong Provence served us with lots of food knowledge and also be very patient). It’s a shame they don’t serve Beijing roast duck in lunch time but will definitely go back 🥰 Good service with something tasty, lovely environment to hanging out with friends, thank you!

We’ve had the “shizitou” lion head soup, braised pork belly and half a Peking duck. I’d particularly recommend the lion head soup which has a light and mild flavour, a cozy choice in the winter. As for the peking duck it’s still not comparable to the good ones in Hong Kong, but I’d say it’s decent and so far the best one and closest to authentic I’ve tried in the UK. Nice environment, all the dishes were nicely presented and fairly priced, we’ll certainly visit again.

I am a fan of Chinese food and have eaten in several restaurants around the world. The Chinese from each clan has their own speciality and somewhat taste best to their tastebuds. Most restaurants in the UK are run by the Cantonese Chinese, a clan from Hong Kong. However this present restaurant specialises in Chinese food from mainland China. The food wasn't all that great to my taste bud Except the sweet sour seabass fish. Mind you people, there is No crispy pork belly. I personally would have preferred a Cantonese restaurants. The captain at the restaurant was very polite and helpful. He even advised my wife and stopped her from over ordering. Most Chinese restaurants don't advice one, on the number of dishes that we ordered. I have given 2☆ extra rating for this good service. Again everyone have their own taste and liking. You may try it and make a decision.

Very swanky Chinese restaurant.

The food was excellent, however, the service was awful! When we arrived they didn't have any menus available for us to look at. They served us our starters and mains at the same time and we asked them if they would take the mains away as we weren't ready for them yet. When they then brought out the mains they were cold so we sent them back. They then only brought out one of the main dishes. The 2nd dish was not brought out until we had already requested the bill. Service charge is already added to the bill!
