" Ella no debería haberme mirado y dicho... "¿quieres que esté caliente, verdad?" No voy a volver. Pobre e inmaduro.

Was raving to my friend about your scones and brought here here today for one. Wished I hadn't, the scones were dry as hell. Trying to spread butter on them and they just collapsed into a pile of crumbs. It was quite embarrassing after me raving about them. Maybe they were fresh on a Monday but dry by a Wednesday?

Disappointed with the toasted sandwich today. Only the top side is toasted and the underneath is plain bread which became soggy. A few crisps along side and the salad missing. It came to over £6 with an orange juice. Won't behaving another.

Having bought our baking tray - that's why were were in Dunelm - we had a look at the cafe and stopped for a cake and coffee. Both were good, but the surprise came when we paid. I assumed they had miscalculated, but later a saw a notice saying that all hot drinks are £1 after 3pm. So we got £3+ large coffees for £1. A bargain.

Hemos estado, no volveremos otra vez.

We stopped shopping for a while and had a nice cake and coffee. The place wasn’t too busy and the service was fast and friendly. Nice clean place with lots of space.

We thought we'd stop for a quick lunch so we ordered a couple of jacket potatoes. We found a place to sit which wasn't easy as tables hadn't been cleared. 15 minutes later my husband was served his tiny lunch and I was told mine was still cooking. 15 minutes after that I asked for my money back. The waiter yelled sorry in a petulant way and went into the kitchen slamming the door on me. Another woman had waited her whole lunch hour for the food and was told to pick a sandwich in lieu of the hot food. Training needs to be given. You order together you eat together. The cashier should know the soup of the day at 2 o clock on a Sunday and if you can't serve hot food you should say so and spend some time clearing up. The store manager apologized and gave us a discount in store which was good but Dunelm needs to ensure that its staff are up to the job.

We've called in several times for tea/coffee and cake. Each timewe have been greeted pleasantly and served with attention. Scones were a special with cream and jam for 5p extra and the toasted teacake was thick and tasty. The view from the first floor cafe looked out over Queen's Drive and the tram line to make an intersecting and always changing cityscape.

This little café is a hidden gem. The coffee is way better than any of the big names and their cakes are awesome. Of particular note is their apple tart, which is somewhat akin to the Dutch cake.
