A nice well decorated cafe with comfy seating and pleasant staff. Table service which was nice and the food was very good. Large fry was good...altho would like the breads fried on one side not deep fried, but good quality meats. Club sandwich is excellent. Curry also very good. Nice tray bakes / scones and reasonable price for lunch out. Will go back.

Having checked the menu online I was pleased to see that gluten free options were available for breakfast as my friend is coeliac. She asked what she could have from the menu. The waitress said that scalloped potatoes would be substituted for the soda bread and the potato bread in the fry. My friend asked if the sausages were gluten free and was told they weren't, again, scalloped potatoes were the option. I suggested that she could have extra bacon instead of the sausage and was told no, the potatoes were the substitute. My friend asked if gluten free bread was available so she could opt for eggs & toast. No gluten free bread was available. She went ahead and ordered the mini fry which was the only food suitable for her. She received a large portion of sliced, fried potatoes, skin on, 1 egg, 1 slice of back bacon and a sprig of uncooked tomatoes. REALLY REALLY disappointing and just not good enough when the menu suggests that the cafe caters for gluten free customers. There are two good supermarkets within a mile. Both sell a variety of gluten free breads and sausages. How about making some space in the freezer and having these available OR don't claim that gluten free options are available.

I called in for a coffee and something to eat during the afternoon when it wasn't overly busy. It wasn't clear to me whether you are to wait to be seated or just wait. After awkwardly standing there for a few seconds a female member of staff made eye contact with me and then walked in the opposite direction. After sitting down for several minutes, we were not approached by any member of staff. I went to the till and asked a member of staff for menus who informed us she would be over to take our order. After waiting for 15 minutes without ordering we got up and left. We were clearly visible to staff who were glancing in our direction but seemingly had more important business to attend to. During our 15 minutes of waiting we observed other people being seated and served before us. Poor experience, will not be back. I would recommend Mill Farm Deli to anyone visiting the area.

I come here fairly often, they do a really good breakfast. Just popped in for lunch and had the chicken burger special, honestly the nicest chicken burger I’ve had in a long time. My partner had the beef burger and it was equally delicious. We sat outside in the sunshine and had a glass of wine, really lovely lunch. Place is always immaculately clean, staff are friendly, and the furniture and home store you wander through to get to the restaurant is always worth a browse with some really quirky and unusual things (great for gifts). Recommend it highly.

Called for lunch and coffee. Staff ignored us as we waited to be served. When we did get served it was as if they couldn't be bothered . Not pleasant or professional.Food average and not worth the money. Will not be returning!

Wanted to try a different venue for breakfast so went to Cafe Nook, which I thought was owned by Jeffers. Place was quiet with only one other customer there. Chairs, tables and decor were neat and inviting. I asked the young waiter to substutute a piece of bacon and egg for the two sausages in the large fry. When it arrived this had not been done. The plate was very cold, so the whole fry was cold by the time I finished. The coffee was good however. There seemed to be some problem using the toilets in the place, so we used the ones in the Linen museum opposite. I doubt if we would go back to this place again
