We had left Hinckley Saturday morning and were on our way to visit a cousin in Olney and wanted to stop for a drink. We drove past this farm but further up the road turned round and ended up in the farm yard. We walked into the cafe and ordered food and a drink rack. Well what a find I came out in the end with cakes a local brewed craft beer . Would highly recommend this eatery if in the area, very clean and well priced with excellent staff.

Lovely little shop with amazing home made Eccles cakes and more. Small area to enjoy food and drink. An outside area, which looked lovely for when the weather is a little warmer. Parking on-site. Recommended.

I visited for the first time today with a friend after a recommendation from a work colleague. I only live a few miles away and had no idea you were there. We sat outside in the sunshine overlooking the fields and woodlands. A beautiful peaceful setting for a spot of lunch! Even had a friendly companion join us after we'd eaten! The food was traditional homemade and absolutely delicious. The staff were super helpful, polite and friendly. After lunch we took the opportunity to do a bit of shopping in the farm shop and very much look forward to the homemade pies and cakes. Thank you so much for a lovely experience. We'll be returning very soon!

Pastures is near the village of Yardley Hastings, tucked away down a farm lane and it feels very rural. The charming small shop and café sit amongst fields, within 50 yards or so of a woodland edge and the car park adjoins a small paddock full of assorted chickens. The café is housed in a conservatory-style room with pleasant views across the fields to the wood. It is airy, cheerful and clean. The ambiance is 'farm house kitchen'. Service is efficient and friendly and the food very tasty. I ate a farmhouse breakfast and the star of the show was the sausage which, in common with most of what they sell in the café and shop, was locally sourced. The shop has a tempting array of quality food and drinks, a good proportion of which is made on the premises. If the Eccles cakes are anything to go by, there's a top-notch baker amongst the staff. I also found the prices, compared to other local farm shop type establishments, very reasonable indeed. If you're thinking of going, be aware that the small car park takes about 7 or 8 cars. There is other parking in the adjacent farmyard/courtyard which, according to the signage, is for employees of the adjacent businesses only but I would guess that customers for Pastures do park there at the weekends, when those other businesses are closed. Also be aware that the café is small and has only 5 tables (one of which is only for two people) so getting a place could be an issue. Not sure if they allow booking ahead but it might be worth a try.

Have a breakfast here when im working local , had a big breakfast there this week and it was exellent, local produce cooked to a high standard by a friendly, polite lady. The take out pies are very tasty too. Theres a good selection of bread, pies, pasties, cakes all home made. Also fresh meat, milk & bread. A little bit more expensive than a greasy soon cafe, but it's well worth it. Highly recommended.

We visit regular. The service was spot on, staff always have time for a chat. Home made products have such a better taste than those of the super markets. A rural quite out of the way location.

Whilst I'd rather it stayed quiet for when we visit, we regularly go here for breakfast. The staff are always very friendly, the latte's are hot (rare nowadays!) and the food is delicious. The produce for sale is of a high quality, especially their award winning chicken sausage rolls :)

Visiting the shop for the first time, we decided to have lunch. Staff were very pleasant which really complimented the rustic atmosphere of the cafe/shop. Made you feel really at home. Settling for coffee/tea and two soups, service was quick and the soup (carrot & coriander) was bursting with flavour. Plenty of coriander leaves to be seen so the home made tag would appear to be authentic. Accompanied by 2 slices of the most delicious bread, it really was a meal. Only comment would be the fact the soup ran out before the bread. Would be nice to have a slightly larger portion or simply one slice of bread. Everything on display looked so fresh and compared to similar places, prices were not expensive. May not be back tomorrow, but certainly will return.

What a beautiful cafe- I popped in today on my own as I had heard great things. I was greeting by a very friendly member of staff who told me all about the farm and cafe. It’s great to see a family run business using locally sourced ingredients. They rear their own duck, chicken and guinea fowl, make their own pies and chutneys and much much more. Very impressed and will definitely be back.

We had visited this small establishment before although only for coffee or tea. Service and drinks satisfactory. However, today I thought I would have one of their sausage rolls shown in their chiller for £1.95. I said yes when they offered to heat it up for me. My disappointment came when the original price shown on the product without any warning morphed into £3.75 as it had apparently become a meal. Had we been warned about any price difference incurred by eating their food on the premises I wouldn't have bought it. It left a nasty taste in the mouth.

I had a business lunch at the Great Western Arms arranged by my financial advisor. What a lovely tranquil setting next to the canal. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. Well worth the drive to get there, which was also beautiful scenic countryside and villages once off the motorway. Unfortunately I did not have time to spend a night in the hotel but it is now definitely on my bucket list.

It’s quite nicely set out and the service was good. Everyone was very nice and attentive. We could not fault the food, however it is a tad too expensive for what you actually get.

I visited with my mother and my 2 young kids. Kids loved their breakfast baps which seemed to be made with oven bottom muffins which were tasty. I had scrambled eggs on some very hard crunchy sourdough toast with some extra beans and tomato from the add on breakfast menu. My tomato was a quartered salad tomato still fridge cold whereas I would have expected this to be a sliced and cooked / hot tomato. My mum’s poached eggs on sourdough toast was on undercooked toast barely more than bread so wonder if the toaster was turned up when mine was cooked! Didn’t seem to be any salt on the tables just pepper. Cakes were okay but waitress / server didn’t know what one of them was when I asked which I thought was unusual in the current allergy climate. She seemed new and a bit lacking in confidence. Scenery was beautiful and was quite quiet. Think more could be done with the deli but I would visit again.
